Nijiya Store near Ala Moani Center is a small grocery store that offers a wide selection of dry goods, drinks, snacks, bentos, vegetables, meat, seafood, any many other household items. Clean with great customer service! Regular returning customer!

Al thought most of the labels are in Japanese, they have little white stickers with the inglish name, we love discovering new items here, we love the coffee candy and the Japanese bread flour, the Japanese beef ( from Japan) we love it all

Walked in with my family and security guard started to follow me around the store for no reason, I was dressed nicely. I am in my 20’s so that could be it or it is racially motivated because I am Asian. Just felt unwelcome and disrespected. It hurts to write this because I love Nijiya as a store.

Visiting from LA and was pleasantly surprised of its selection. I was able to make a meal for my friends with the produce and the ingredients I found. Didn’t have to chase all over town. Good experience!

Great customer service, and I can always find a healthy snack like freshly washed sugar snap peas or cold cherries (when in season) to accompany my customary octopus pancakes! There is a dining area and restrooms. Friendly cashiers, too!

Food (sushi) are made with quality rice. I purchased the sushi with a piece of shrimp, piece of clam, two pieces of raw fish, a little bit of fish eggs, two pieces of squid, one piece of takoand two pieces of fried sugary eggs. My problem with that container was that all these pieces were lined up, but not on individual squeezed rice. The rice was just laid out so they were not individual sushi but instead, pieces of things over a mound of rice.I also bought shrimp shumai. Except for the fact that it was cold, the flavor was pretty good.Cashier was very nice and fast.One last thing, I got there at a couple minutes after ten. It was obvious they were just opening up. The sign says that they open at 9.

It has many Japanese products. The prepared food is tasty. A little pricey.

Great place for snacks, sushi is good love their natto roll but need to go before 4pm and sometimes thats not early enough. But overall service is awesome, everyone so polite and helpful.

Super legitimate Japanese shop, the staff is super friendly.

My family bought bentos here for lunch and there are some tables ready for customers to use. There is also a microwave ready to heat up the food as well. I think that is quite convenient. The sushi bentos they offer here is very fresh. I would like to dine here occasionally.

This is a Korean market located on at the Ala Moana shopping center. Inside you will find many grocery store with many of the fresh and frozen product. Canned goods ect...they also have a fresh food cooler for things like plate lunches and fresh salads. Prices are very reasonable!

Lots of fresh bento options. maybe not as wide a selection as other Japanese focused stores in area.

Right in a middle of town, it has all I need to make Japanese food. Lots of variety even though a store is relatively small. Convenient!

This is my favorite market. When I miss going to Japan, I can go here and feel like Im still there. The food is good with a good selection. I like the chirashi bowls. I usually add the sashimi king clam from the produce area in the back. I also like the heater bentos as there is a microwave to heat up food in the dining room area. Theres lots of parking. This is also a market to shop for Japanese goods. I like this place as the staff is very nice too.

I have been to other Nijiya s, esp.the one by UH, nice sit down eating area here.

If you want to make your own ramen they have all the ingredients youll need. You can buy the same/similar char siu as goma tei which I really enjoy. The meat is very tender and delicious. They also have a little sitting area to eat if you purchased one of their desserts.

A great place to buy bento or some variety of oriental foods from small snacks is to mini bento etc. Prices are quite reasonable. Something like a mini moms & pops store.

Miss the old Shirokiya with its (packaged, not prepared) Japanese foods and snacks? Then Nijiya is for you. Theyve got their share of bentos, too, but the selection of Japanese desserts and the like is the real draw here.

With Shirokiya gone north, Marukai going south, Nijiya is my go-to store for Japanese (and Korean) products. I normally get what is on sale: Melon soda, Kirin beer... In rotation, one brand of nato is always on sale. And of course the kids love the Japanese snacks and candies. HiChew, anyone? Oh, watch for expired items. Sometimes the clerks fail to pull them off the shelves. There are so many products, I dont know how they keep track.
