The cake was AMAZING, and DELICIOUS. So moist!! I normally dont like frosting, but this frosting was great. The cake decorations were perfect. I live in California and making my cake for my wedding in Oahu was so easy with Cake Works. They emailed everything, and I would confirm before changes were done. We had timing issues with my wedding, but they worked with us with absolutely no issue. I would 100٪ recommend then for any occasion!

Contacted Cake Works to do a cake for my parents wedding anniversary and they did such a fantastic job! We used a photo that I had gotten off of their Instagram account as inspiration/design and they gave us exactly what we had wanted! The cake looked amazing and it tasted even better. The staff are also very friendly and extremely helpful as well! My parents were so happy and pleased with the cake! We will most definitely be coming back to Cake Works for all of our dessert and cake needs every holiday, special event and birthday in the future! Thank you Abi and to the Cake Works team!

Mixed feelings. The staff were nice and communication was great (Thanks Cyntia). I had a custom Hunter X Hunter themed cake and wanted a Funko Pop on top. The cake itself turned out great, but the problem was they could not make the Funko stand when I picked it up. I worked around this by making my own base for the toy and using some heavy duty double sided tape.I wish they had tried it earlier since Ive given the toy 6 days ahead and we could have worked it out. But nonetheless, thank you Cake Works.

Communication was quick, polite, and easy; Cake Works squeezed me in last minute during the week of Christmas. The appearance of the cake was exactly what I wanted. The actual cakes were spongey and moist, and the strawberries in the filling were fresh and sweet(not old or sour). Everyone who attended my wedding enjoyed it! We learned last minute the restaurant we held our reception was no longer able to supply a wedding cake and Cake Works was accommodating to our last minute request. Really sad along with my family about the cake i picked up today on 1-12-21.I called the order in the day before and ordered a strawberry buttercream cake . The person said the cost for the 6 inch was about $64 and i could pick it up the next day. I went there on the rest of my lunch break left (15 minutes) and they had a cake with no frosting on the outside and berries and strawberries on it. I said this is not the cake i ordered and the staff only offered a discount as a solution. With no option since it was my wifes birthday i was forced to take the cake. My wife and daughter asked what what happened and why did the cake look so horrible without me even telling them. The staff could not of cared less that the cake was wrong and after buying the same cake for many years for all of our birthdays at Cake Works this was a huge disappointment. I wish i could include a photo of the disappointment.

We were helped by Deanna who was professional, quick to respond, and very organized.We reached out for a tasting in October of 2019 for a wedding of 170 in January 2020 and they accommodated us easily and werent pushy about the sale.We wanted traditional cakes that were delicious but not froufrouand are very happy we went with Cake Works. They were the first and only cake tasting we did and only have the best to say.We ordered a three tier cake with alternating layers of Chocolate Raspberry Decadence and funfetti along with two half sheets of each. We were very happy with the cakes and everyone commented on how good they were.We would highly recommend them for any event youre planning.

The staff was really helpful with assisting me in nailing down the design, and it was ready on time and without any issues.I bought a few sugar cookie butterflies to decorate the base, and bought a chocolate cupcake for the ride back home.

The cake was cute.. The problem is it was late. It was for our vow renewal. We had it all scheduled. We got a call at the time it was supposed to be delivered. It was still later than what they said. I tried calling but left message. Left text also. So we ate it a day later. Not how we planned. So if you need it on time might want to go with someone else. Contract and email said 2 pm.

Last year we had our wedding cake made by Cake Works. The wedding cake was made with a regular buttercream instead of the Lilikoi buttercream we had requested. The manager gave us a partial refund which we were happy with.This year, we came back to Hawaii for our anniversary and to participate in the marathon run. Cake Works recreated our wedding cake perfectly the way we originally wanted it. It was so delicious and special. The cake was absolutely delicious! They were responsive in getting back to me after I put my inquiry in. Only suggestion is probably not purchasing the topper placement unless its something large or difficult to rearrange once placed, i ended up rearranging mine because I requested the dinosaurs to look like they were fighting and when it came they were just placed next to one another. Cake was still beautiful & delicious though!

From ordering to eating, very good experience with cake works. The tasting of several cupcakes for cake choices were fun, even from a grooms perspective. Our cake was somewhat simple looking, but the taste was exquisite.

I honestly never was ones for cakes, growing up I always got ice cream cakes for my birthday, but I can honestly say that I’ve tried some of the best cakes and cupcakes that I’ve ever had. Honestly we make up reasons to buy a cake from this bakery, it’s that good!We ordered a Valentine’s Day cake and it was delicious. We ordered the strawberry guava and maple pecan cupcakes along with half a dozen macarons. The cupcakes were decent, unremarkable although the filling inside the strawberry guava was a lovely surprise. The macarons, however, I would never go back for. Far too crumbly and dry to be enjoyable.

Cake works offer beautiful cakes, their customer service is really great, and the cake I ordered was beautiful the Mermaid sparkle. It was ready when I needed it, However it was over cooked and dry my daughter barely ate it, and I spent $70 on the cake. This was something that could have been corrected easily, but instead chose to give me a dry overcooked cake.

This place still makes great stuff. The lady behind the counter was warm and welcoming. They have an excellent variety of pastries, but their cupcakes are especially good. They were fresh, fluffy, and with the right amount of sweetness. Try the seasonal flavors if you can.

There was a mistake during the ordering and I didn’t know until it was delivered but I called them immediately and they came right back and fixed the cake overall I’m very pleased I thought the price was a bit high but I live about 6000 miles away where the cost of living in cheap In the future I will order from them again

Cake Works is amazing. When I sent in my initial inquiry, They got back to me quickly and they even were willing to work with me due to all the stay at home orders causing my party to be postponed. They allowed me to move dates and they just made things so easy for me during a time of frustration waiting to do my event sure covid. With their help I survived a covid bday for my son and it was such a success! Not to mention my cookies and cake pops were gorgeous and soooo DELICIOUS!!! I’m not sure how to leave a pictures

Picked up a naked berry cake for a birthday celebration and was very disappointed in the appearance of this cake. First, the outside of box was covered in icing. The actual berries on top of the cake were splotched with whipped cream and powdered sugar. I hope it tastes better than it looks.

Needed a cake at the very last minute. Never heard of this place and since it was close to our sons house I said lets try it. The gal was very patient and helpful in helping choose the right cake for our son. I ended up with the trio flavor which was guava, lilikoi and haupia, it was a hit. Everyone there loved it. We loved our wedding cake! Cake works was wonderful. They were able to work with us and our special dietary needs (gluten free). They were so great and from what I could find the most affordable on the island. We had the top layer gluten free and the bottom layer was normal. Our wedding cake was the best cake we had ever tasted! It was so moist and their fondant was so good too. We were completely satisfied and would definitely recommend this to our friends and family.

I went in on Wednesday, March 28th, in a panic. My daughter was getting married at 4 pm that day and did not have a wedding cake. She said at the last minute she regretted not getting one, so I decided I was going to find one. When I walked in the ladies were so kind and generous. I rarely leave reviews but I had a pretty bad experience with this place. When I went to pick it up, it wasnt what I asked for. Several details were missing and it looked nothing like the image I had provided. The owner tried to fix it but didnt seem sorry in the least that the cake was wrong and it was an hour before my sons party. It still wasnt what I wanted but with so little time left there wasnt a lot to be done. The taste was just bad. I ordered chocolate cake but it actually had the consistency of a flavorless brownie. Just gross. My guests tried not to be rude, but they clearly did not enjoy it either. For the amount of money I paid, I at least expected it to taste amazing. Gross and overpriced.

But being told that you can make sugar free cakes but getting told by you that you cant makes me realize that oh, maybe you USED TO make them but now dont and all the places are still on their old list that indicates that you can. Please let places know that you do not make sugar free cakes at all. It has been such an experience to find someone to make a sugar free cake for a bride who is diabetic. We live in a place where many people are diabetic and we are cut off from every one. Good job on making vegan and gluten free. Unfortunately I am neither of them.

I contacted them for my daughters party and they were so helpful and knew exactly what look I wanted. (Semi naked cake). I didnt know what flavor to get and they suggested some of their popular flavors. For her big cake, I got lilikoi and for her smash cake, I got strawberry guava. They both were so delicious. Everyone that ate the lilikoi absolutely loved it. It was so moist and light. Im really wishing I could have some right now. I decorated it with my own flowers and custom made topper. I highly recommend Cake works for your next event cake!!!! Can it be my birthday soon?

I submitted a request for a custom cake/cupcakes for a birthday 2 weeks in advance. I did not receive a response so I called a week after and was given a bunch of excuses. I was told I would get a call the next day and did not. I called back and was told again someone would call me in a couple hours. NO ONE called. Needless to say we are not getting a cake from lack of customer service and they had great reviews which is why I had chosen to use them for this. I was incredibly disappointed.

Update: Korinne emailed me back about my complaint and offered a partial refund. I appreciated the fact that they care about making things right with their customers. I hope the situation with my cake was a one off thing. Id say try small samples before ordering something more expensive first.Initial review: Super disappointed in the cake I received. I paid $90 for a 6 inch vanilla hazelnut custom cake and Im very much in shock at what I received. The cake is small for the price. Had it at least been moist and flavorful I wouldnt mind, but its incredibly dry and the taste is very bland and just not good at all. I dont taste much vanilla in it at all. The only thing I was happy with was the design and the fact that Korinne was always very quick to respond to emails. I wouldnt recommend or come back to this place. Very, very sad at the cake I got for my hubbys bday.

Ive driven by this place thousands of times over the years and finally stopped in yesterday because my wife wanted to find something gluten free for her birthday. Thankfully they had three lilikoi GF cupcakes left. We got those, some macarons and cookies for the kids. Between the one other customer and the phone, the woman at the front was unable to assist us after she initially greeted us. It wasnt long till another employee came out to put out a couple more cupcakes. He was super helpful and friendly, actually more friendly than the woman at the front. He could have dismissed us to continue his work, but he stopped everything and patiently helped us pick out what we needed. Im looking forward to getting more macarons from there and hopefully trying out a GF cake one day for my wife. Im sure if the location was more convenient I would have visited sooner.

I planned my destination wedding on Oahu from Los Angeles. I had a list of suggested vendors to call.CakeWorks was my selection for our cake. I fell in love with a passion fruit curd fill, with a ruffled butterCream frosting, in an ombré ( ivory to blush) . I saw one on the CakeWorks web site. I wanted it created In our wedding shades. I ordered online, but also called to ensure my color samples arrived.All was perfection. The cakes was gorgeous, scrumptious, completely fabulous. I ordered macaroons as well and they were a hit with all.

I have been working with Cake Works since Abi took over the shop when it was Mary Catherines in 2008 or 2009. Wow how time flies!I order cakes for all my weddings here whether they be single tier cakes to 3 tier fondants, square or butter cream finished.They counsel me on the best ways to save $$ and have always been true to form. Ill admit maybe once or twice a cake was a little dry or a bit over iced but this is not an easy business to keep up and running with good bakers! I would be lying if I didnt mention this but their consistency is overall excellent and Abi the owner has worked very, very hard!I would not have been with Cake Works for soooooooo long if they were sub par and constantly made mistakes on orders! God knows I dont need that stress! I email a pic, get a quick response and counsel if needed and done.Cake Works produces lovely and delicious cakes enjoyed by couples and their families and friends from all over the world. The cake had a very good flavor; but I was disappointed with the presentation, nothing to do with what was requested.

I bought cupcakes and macaroons.The macaroons were crispy but moist and comfortable.In Japan, it was very delicious with only the tastes I had never seen.The sweetness felt quite strong, maybe just one per day.The cupcake was so cute that it was made with the index finger and thumb, and it seemed to be able to be used with a little bite of glue.I didnt eat it, but the family said it was not too sweet, not too bad, and delicious.However, even though Google and the sticker on the shop door indicated that the store was open from 9 oclock, the door was not open even after 9:30.There was a person inside, so when I knocked on the doors etc., I glanced at this, but there was no response.After a short wait, the store opened calmly at 10:00.It was selfish, but I wanted to say a word from 10 oclock.I guess I didnt understand because Im Japanese ...I dont know if this is the case, but it might be better to go late.Also, colorful gimmoves were not on sale, and the only such sweet was mlang.I dont think there were any traces (price tags, etc.), but I guess it would have happened if I went late ...
