My friends and I got here just a few minutes before they opened. We heard it gets crowded so we wanted to be sure to get in. We waited for about 5 - 10 minutes before we were seated. We only had about an hour to spare before a tour we had booked. The service was pretty fast. We got in, were seated, received our orders, ate and made it back to the hotel in time to freshen up and meet our tour guide. But let me tell you, breakfast was ABSOLUTELY delicious. I really dont have a complaint. The Ube pancakes were the star. Although my friends raved about the Crab Cake Benedict. My plan was to come back before the end of my vacation, but I never made it back. A definite MUST TRY!
My first visit here was amazing. I loved the food and the wait was not that bad. The staff were friendly and fast to serve. The food was delicious and the ube pancakes were to DIE FOR!!!!Having stated all that above let me explain the reason for the 3 stars 2 and 1/2 years later. We were told 15 minutes and thought no problem. Cut to 45 minutes later of standing in a parking lot in the sun with no where to sit down and no shade. Finally being brought in and once again the staff did a good job on the service. The Ube pancakes seemed smaller, had far less sauce and the sauce didn’t taste as good. (2 purple pancakes side by side. The one with the raspberry is from 2.5 years ago) I’m not sure if the receipt changed or if the portion size did but both fell short this round. We all enjoyed the food but it felt and tasted different. The pictures from the Ube pancake on are from 2.5 years ago.We will be returning and checking whether this was a fluke or if the quality/food really has changed that dramatically since our original visit.
Pricey but the food portions are big. The prime rib loco moco meat wasnt the best quality... Not sure if they get their meat frozen there was like an underlying smell on the meat beneath all the sauce. The sauce and rice was good tho. They got our pancake order wrong, they gave us strawberry instead of chocolate but they quickly fixed that and made us another one.
Average at best. Food came out somewhere between warm and lukewarm. If you care more about portion size than taste and quality than come here. Would I come back or recommend this place? No
Probably the worst breakfast I’ve ever paid money for! The eggs were freezing and potatoes definitely came from a freezer. The Ube latte was ok, but you have to add a shot of espresso, so it shouldn’t even be called a latte, just warm milk with flavor. The Ube pancakes were very disappointing and we didn’t take more then one bite. Stay away, not worth the weight or money
The place was highly recommend but there was an hour wait from the jump, the place is small but cute. Their check in system failed it never checked us in so I was very annoyed and the host helped us and got us seated immediately. I ordered and tried for the first tome Ube latte and it was phenomenal my husband ordered the Ube pancakes
Tasty sweet, savory and sandwich options, lots of variety to choose from. Adult beverages dont appear on the menu but are available upon request. Attentive staff and quick service. I would definitely go back to try more of the menu.Update: I have been back several times and found that the food is consistently good. I would say however that it surprised me to find a lot of their food is not made fresh. In some cases that is fine, the potato wedges are still great, and sometimes you just want a hearty comfort meal for breakfast or lunch, which this place definitely provides.
What I recommend:Ube pancakesOther things I ordered:prime rib skillet, taro tea latte, cream sodaTip:Reserve seats through Yelp >30 mins before goingThoughts:The place is known for their Ube pancakes and they definitely delivered. The pancakes were large, full of flavor with lots of ube syrup on top. My friend told me that this dish is popular on Instagram due to its vibrant purple color. The prime ribs skillet on the other hand was lacking in flavor. The skillet consisted of tater tots, pieces of prime ribs, and bell peppers. The taro tea latte was made using powdered taro and was overly sweet.
An amazing menu with adorably themed items that were also delicious. Wide variety for even picky eaters. A surprising gem inside a very unpretentious exterior in a shopping center outside the crazy hustle and bustle of the Waikiki area.
The Ube pancakes are so delicious, the best I’ve had. Come here for the pancakes you will not be disappointed.
5/7/21Ate here for the first time with family and the service and food was great!! I was informed that theyre known for their ube pancakes so we ordered that and other things and it was amazing!I will definitely be coming back (fortunately, i love three minutes walking distance away lol).Dont be surprised if theres a waitlist because it is always busy here everytime Id passed by it.I strongly recommend this place.
First time reviewing this restaurant but Ive been here twice already. First time I went here I ordered their most popular item which was the Ube pancakes and that was 10/10. Second time I ordered the Kalua Pork omelette and its also 10/10. I will be in Oahu for 14 days and the day before I leave I will make sure to eat here one last time.
The Avocado Benedict was ok. The potatoes needed wayyyyyy more seasoning than wad on there. The Asparagus was perfectly crunchy and seasoned. The waitress/waiter were nice. The ube pancakes were delicious. The Kim chee fried rice was delicious. The wait time for us was 45 mins. They give you 2 mins to come to the front when they say youre ready. Any later and theyll move on to someone else. The environment was ok until some homeless dude came in while we were eating and started cussing and causing a ruckus. Didnt exactly feel safe eating there after that. Wouldnt exactly go out of my way to go back here, but if we were in the general area, I would consider it.
The service was super quick after the 1.5 hour wait we had. I like how they use the Yelp check in system to text you when you should be at the restaurant giving you freedom to leave and come back. I would suggest coming after 10:30am to avoid the long wait.
We got the prime rib loco moco and pork belly eggs Benedict. They quality of the meat was really good for a reasonable price ($20 for a 12oz prime rib). The pork belly ran on the sweet side which I kind of enjoyed but my girlfriend did not enjoy as much. The only thing that was done poorly was the eggs weren’t poached properly. They were overcooked. We finished with the ube pancakes (see photos attached) which were absolutely delicious. We finished them without even realizing it. The pancakes themselves were made in ube batter and the syrup wasn’t extremely sweet, to our pleasant surprise.
Came here just to try the ube pancakes and they were soooo yummy! Super soft, fluffy and the ube sauce was so creamy - not too sweet. A must try if you’re an ube fan! We ordered the prime rib and Kalua pork loco mocos too and they were both tasty. I’d come back just for the pancakes alone. Big portions. Service was slow despite coming during odd hours with only a few other tables.
There seems to be a wait so go before your starving. Its worth the wait! Definitely get something with Ube! The waitstaff was extremely accommodating. We couldnt finish our food and they even gave extra Ube sauce. We had macadamia nut waffle with ube sauce and Aloha French toast.
The crab egg Benedict is AMAZING! 3 stars for that alone! Ube pancake isn’t what I thought it would be. I love all things Ube and thought I’d be obsessed but the butter is so heavy and really all you can taste. My husband liked it so giving another star for that. I also didn’t like that they give you plastic utensils (wasteful and flimsy). The food also took really long which shouldn’t really be the case for breakfast
Amazing place to eat just wow definitely recommend 👌🏽 try the ube pancakes and moreeeee
The food was great! I got the taro latte. I’ve tried both hot and iced but prefer the hot. I I’ve tried the prime rib skillet, ube pancake and ube waffles. The prime rib skillet was great and delicious but the downside was they gave me mostly fatty parts of the prime rib so I didn’t really get much “prime rib” but I can’t complain I’m not much of a meat person so I still enjoyed it. But for those who want the prime rib hopefully it isn’t like that for you. I loved the pancakes, ube sauce consistency was spot on. The waffles were good, soft texture. Upon entering the staff ignored me for a few minutes due to being busyThe wait staff were nice be with such a busy day. The guy wasn’t as friendly I think it was just a bad day for him. Wait time was about 90-120 minutes but definitely worth the wait! Overall experience 9/10
Got the Bae Benedict, ube pancakes with a side of eggs and bacon. The food is pretty good, I enjoyed it. Its not absolutely amazing, but I did really like the ube pancakes.Service was good, she was nice. The only downside was the 1 hour 20 minute wait for the table.Prices are not bad, roughly 14 per plate. Ended up around 25 per adult. Pretty good considering the food and Hawaii.Overall, Id come back (if I lived here) and Id recommend others to check this place out !
This is one of the best breakfast places Ive been to!!! Waited about 10-15 minutes to get seated because its jam-packed which is not bad. So if youre planning to come here, come early. You have to put in your name on their tablet and phone number to be on their waitlist. The place is nice and clean with cool pictures on the walls and lighting fixtures. It has a mezzanine and patio dining spaces. Both are nice, but I prefer the mezzanine because you get to see the whole restaurant. We ordered their three best sellers: crab benedict, prime rib loco moco and their most famous ube pancake. Boy oh boy, all were delicious!! The prime rib is cooked to perfection and the gravy complemented it very well. The crabcakes on the benedict are thick and so flavorful. And the ube pancakes are immaculate, so soft and the sauce made it so much better. Id definitely be back!
Favorite place in Oahu! Ube pancakes ube waffles are the best!
The wait to get in was long and had us contemplating take-out. However, take-out was as long as wait time. When we got in and seated we soon found it was more than worth the time spent waiting. The Crab cake Benedict was delicious, the Prime rib Loco Moco was decadent, Red Velvet waffles were playful, Ube pancakes a must try and their short rib breakfast dish on point. Their flavors are intriguing and a great way to taste Hawaii.
So. Good. SO. GOOD. This place was amazing! I ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict and it was to die for! I got mine with 2 hash browns (patties) and asparagus. The eggs were perfectly poached, the crab cakes were a thick, generous size, with lots of crab (sometimes the veggies can overpower the crab, but these cakes were dominantly crab!), and they were on a purple ube piece of bread (English muffin consistency). So good, will 100% order again. My husband got a simple meal, the big breakfast combo with over easy eggs, and he was raving about how perfect his meal was as well. We got ube pancakes to share, and s’mores waffles for the kids. The ube pancakes were amazing, I love the thick ube sauce ontop, just REALLY really good. Perfectly cooked. Highly recommend. For some reason we didn’t like the s’mores waffles. I’m a huge s’mores fan so I was sorely disappointed. They had marshmallow and chocolate and graham crumbles, it looked amazing, but man it tasted really weird. Nobody ate it. But that doesn’t take away from our 5 star experience because the rest of the food was SO beyond delicious.I do wish there were kids options. It’s quite expensive to buy a whole big adult meal for picky kids that don’t eat much. Felt like a waste of money for them.
I love this place to eat brunch and bring my friends. My favorite plate is Hurricane Rice Bowl which is Korean Bibimpa. There food is good and pretty big, so I always get a box to go and eat leftover next day again for lunch. This restaurant inside atmosphere is cool and comfortable. They have the second floor. I hope I can get a table upstairs next time. There is also huge parking prop, very convenient. But, when I come hare and order a food without eggs because Im allergic to eggs, they always give me eggs and always go back to the kitchen and give me a second plate. Thats why I give them 4 stars.
YuMmY breakfast foods!😋 its a very cute restaurant. All the food we ordered were good sized portions that looked and tasted delicious. The customer service was great. Our waitress was very nice and helpful with menu items. She also confidently suggested items we were unsure of. Great experience from beginning to end.
This place is to die for. Awesome staff. Great food. The prices are actually lower than I would expect for the quality you get. The coffee is amazing.
Absolutely delicious! The yummiest latte drinks and the best Kaluha pork loco moco! Also ordered the banana pancakes: perfect amount of sweetness and light and fluffy. We will definitely be visiting again during this vacation!
This is very popular restaurant with very good menu. Especially UBE pancake..It was pretty empty during the lunch time. Service was good but there were so many tiny flies kept attacking our food. We seated indoor, the door was always closed. If it was one fly, yes sometimes it gets in... but there was so many.I always liked this restaurant but the flies put me off from going to this place for awhile. They could always put some kind of strip to attract flies. I am just wondering why there was so many...
We did have to wait about 20 minutes for a table (party of 5), but it was a nice day so I did not mind at all. The food was very good and they have many signature types of plates and desserts only served here. Overall it was a great atmosphere and delicious food. Will definitely go back before the end of my trip.
So many delicious options for any time of the day!We ordered the Breakfast skillet and I got mushroom and spinach omelet!
Wish we were back in the island for this great brunch place. My kids love the Ube/Taro pancakes. The ambience is very nice and can accommodate large parties/family. They are very busy so getting a parking spot in the front of the restaurant can be difficult.
I felt safe dining-in during this pandemic. Staff were friendly and ensuring the health of their customers. Tables spaced out. The crab Benedict tasted fresh and egg cooked perfectly. Potatoes not greasy. Seasoning on point. The Ube pancakes are the highlight of the meal. Fluffy and not overly sweet. Will definitely come back.
Amazing food!! By far the best local moco on the island. I highly recommend this place!! Lots of creative pancakes and waffles. My Hollywood waffles were very tasty!.
You’re gonna want to come early to get a table here, even though they have two stories to accommodate all the groups that come here. Great food, a creative menu, and great service make for a hard-to-beat combo. Parking can be difficult, but there’s a lot in the front and back of the restaurant.
Had a wonderful breakfast here! The Ube Waffles/Pancakes are really yummy. Super friendly staff - big Aloha from start to finish of our meal. I will be coming back!
Love the food here. But my last visit there we sat for almost an hour before our food came. One of our orders was cold and another wasnt right. The food is still good but the service was a bit disappointing.
Love the food here and when in town will stop by. Love the variety they offer and it is delicious! Waffles and egg Benedict served all day, thats a plus for me! I always order the crab cake Benedict and Red velvet waffles. Husband loves the fat pig fried rice. This place wont disappoint especially with the variety they have to offer!
Delicious food, friendly staff, and a cute place to eat! They were super busy but very accommodating and helped us out even though we were a little late to our reservation.
Extensive menu from rich breakfast to sandwich, pasta, pizza, to dinner. All day operation with no break, they serve all needs for diners. It seems theyre busiest during breakfast hours.
Just a heads up. Even you have a reservation, dont expect to get seated right away. There will be a line of people waiting to get seated with you outside. Also, dont ever get the Korean chicken waffle, I believe this might be the worse thing on the menu. The waffle was bland and the fried chicken is the frozen friend chicken tenders from Costco. It was my mistake thinking they make their own Korean fried chicken from scratch. The crab cake Benedict and the ube pancake was good though. Oh, and this place is very touristy.
First off, their presentation is one of the best on the island. The staff is extremely friendly and the environment is modern with the ability to hold a conversation. Im going back to keep trying all the options.
Its popular among locals and tourists. Everything was good. We waited for like 45mins but its worth the wait
Got ube pancake to go. SO good. Perfectly moist, packed with ube flavor and also not too sweet
Kalua pork loco moco is very good. But what would get me to come back is the ube pancakes.
Food is unique and delicious, ambience is lovely. During the pandemic, theyve opened the front wall panels so the restaurant has awesome ventilation, plus social distancing, for your peace of mind. My favorites are the Crab Cake Benedict, finished off by the Ube(Japanese yam) Pancakes - a must try!
Food was good. Ube pancakes are a must try and they will fill you up easily. Service is good but we could see the waiters were overwhelmed. Needs a manager who coordinates seating while waiters can focus on customers
Delicious food! Its got a nice atmosphere to sit and relax. I had a Hurricane Bowl and an Italian Soda :-) The staff are friendly too. :-)
The food was amazing, but the wait will kill you. Make sure you are not starving when you show up, it will be an hour wait no matter what time but it’s worth it.
Awesome inventive brunch/lunch menu in a comfortable atmosphere. Service was helpful and quick despite being very busy. Lots of local specials and classics with a twist.
We went around 4pm, there wasnt a crowd. We ordered only pancake, because saw review pictures, there looks nice.So we ordered Ube waffle, and Red velvet waffle. And heres the nightmare started. The taste were awful, really disappointed us. We can even finish the pancakes we ordered.
Cute place for any meal! Be warned that they do get crowded on weekends and most weekday mornings but their foods yummy so its worth the wait. They have sweet and savory selections on their menu. I hear they are also open during the evening hours which is a plus for those who cant make it here during the daytime hours.
Aloha! One of the best restaurants in the area. Love the Ube Pancakes the best. Love the prime rib Loco Moco is the best. Staff friendly and helpful.
I had a perfectly - I mean perfectly - poached egg on my eggs benedict. But I wasn’t impressed by the ambiance, the service, flavor of the hollandaise (I like a tangy and alive sauce) OR a total of 2 asparagus for the side. 🤨
Delicious as always, hard to choose! Great service!
Great experience, tasty food. Good service, nice people. Would go again.
The Hawaiian loco moco is legit. Probably the largest hamburger patty I’ve ever seen. The fact it was covered in gravy with eggs on top of it just made it better. Big scoops of rice under it all. Was amazing. Just know if you eat this you’re probably also covered for lunch. Would absolutely recommend, just be hungry when you order it. The Ube pancakes were good. An odd purple color but great flavor and the pancakes were fluffy and not overly sweet. Go there early a line starts quickly. It’s a toss up between four and five stars. The food is great. Customer service was awesome. The food takes awhile. That’s the only reason four stars is even in the discussion.
This is place has to be my favorite breakfast place in all of Oahu. They take classic Hawaiian flavors and dishes and elevate them even more. The wait was short for a weekday and there is outdoor seating while you wait. I started off with a taro latte that came in a fun mug. It was purple and sweet. I ordered the Prime Rib Loco Moco. Yeah thats right. They stuck a whole prime rib in there and it was amazing. I really wanted to get the Ube pancakes but I was too full to even try. The color of them really intrigued me. I will be recommending this place to all of my friends as a must go place.
The food was really good. A little pricey but worth it. I only gave it 3 stars because of the service. Server got our order wrong twice, we just kept it the second time.
Gotta get the purple pancake and turn your tongue purple. Then put it on insta or whatever.Good brunch
I loved the experience I had here. Great service and great food. The wait time is pretty long though so make sure you check in before hand by like 45 min at the least.
Food was decent, very filling. Long wait times, make sure to sign up on waitlist on Yelp beforehand. Theyll contact you via text when seating is available. Free parking available out front but its pretty small with multiple businesses around. Paid street parking available.
I like this place. Like their kalua pork loco moco. Super filling and portion is good for sharing! And while youre at it, share the ube pancake too. Wash it all down with good nutty, strong hot black coffee!!! Then go about your day!
I like this place a lot. Ive eaten at Yogurstory at least 4 times now. I have enjoyed everything like the eggs benedict prepared so many different ways. Just a note though. If you get the kalbi, ask them to cook it more. I like my steaks medium rare, but kalbi needs to be cooked well. It was way underdone and I had to ask the waitress to cook it more. That took another 15 min while the rest of my food got cold. Ill definitely come again, but not for the kalbi.
My waiter Jason J made me feel very racially profiled, for some reason he would not look at us, he took other people’s orders even tho we were seated first and throughout the duration of our meal he would never come to our table, he would walk around us. he would check everyone’s table but ours. i had to ask different workers to help because he wouldn’t to come to our table. The food looks and sounds amazing on the websites and the photos, however my order was incorrect and we didn’t receive our drinks until we were eating our food. i ordered asparagus with my meal and when presented with my plate there were literally only two pieces and the potatoes were basically raw. this place has potential, unfortunately it’s ruined by the customer service, the long wait times and undercooked food.
AMAZING ube pancakes! And the kimchi fried rice and egg are what dreams are made of. The Loco Moco was also phenomenal. And in a surprise twist, the macadamia latte also impressed. I really didn’t expect to love everything we ordered here, but I did and I can’t recommend this place enough. Prices are reasonable and service was fantastic. There’s a reason this place was full at mid-morning on a weekday. Will definitely be back.
So, the food was delicious, staff was great pretty clean. 5 stars for sure. Only problem was while seated we noticed a lot of little pests flying around. Looked like fruit flies? Not sure. But once we got our food it got worse, felt like we were swatting half the time we ate. I guess everything cant be perfect though.
Great place, although parking can be an issue, and there flow is not as great! Food was great however, must have reservations!
