Bean about town is a very cute coffee shop, with amazing service. The barista working was so friendly and bright! We got the energy balls, they were perfect to fuel for our hike. I also got the oat milk latte with honey and it was smooth and bold. They also seek a few locally made goods, including syrups made with sugarcane and mugs and espresso cups. They are of following covid restrictions and only allow one household in the shop at a time but they do have some outdoor seating as well. Highly recommend stopping by!!
Good coffee. I have been to many cafes in town to conclude that their cappuccino is the best in Honolulu.I fund it other cafes coffee beans to be very mass produced taste. They roast their beans onsite, the owner/manager who is French really knows his coffee. This is a very small space with no air conditioning ..that is only the drawback.I plan to try their sandwiches next time I am there in Kaimuki.
This little coffee place has awesome coffee and breakfast food. However, I wish they would serve the coffee and the food together. They get you your coffee but you have to wait for a while before you get your food. By the time your food gets to you, the coffee is cold! For that, I cannot rate it a five star experience. But the coffee is very good.
Small coffee shop in Kaimuki with the friendliest baristas! Great coffee. They sell their own blends and are very knowledgeable.
Our safe haven 🙌🏼 my girlfriend and I are car camping for this vacation, and this place has been our go-to for yummy coffee, nice bathrooms (with soap!!!) And a cute outdoor patio with electrical outlets... One of the few places at which we were able to get a full charge on our phones 😚 the employees are so nice too! Great vibes here 🤙🏼
Friendly staff and plenty of options. They have quick service!
I have been searching for good iced coffee and being in Waikiki hasn’t helped. The shakarato (spelling prob wrong) which was a shaken espresso with milk was delicious. strong coffee with the perfect amount of milk. Def a new fave on the island. But my friend got an iced chai and it was a bit too much milk so I don’t recommend that but amazing coffee.
Best flat white since New Zealand!
This place is great and is definitely a popular local shop.Came here two times and both times I have had a really great experience- barista is super nice and friendly and made the food abs coffee taste that much better. The coffee is color but It was the food that really stood out to us. The sandwiches uses bread from a local artisanal bakery and it’s amazing. Definitely try the ham and cheese
Great coffee and great service! Such a cool and cute little spot
We were staying at the Kahala Resort and I ran 5 miles to this coffee shop. And it was worth it for the cortado. The shop was small but sweet and the single barista was very kind. The whole shop cant be more than 150 ft.² but the coffee was great and the atmosphere pleasant. The experience delivered exactly what I expected when I left the resort that morning. Happy to have visited!
Tasty house roasted coffee and great service!

The coffee wasnt crazy good or anything but it *was* the best decaf I found in Honolulu (out of eight or nine places). Good vibes too, and Oatly!
Great place! Great coffee! The best service we have ever had!
Barista was a fire ball of life and energy! The shakalatte was awesome and pour over decent. Definitely will go back.
Nice little coffee shop. Masked up workers and there is a barrier between you and them for everyones safety. Good service and tasty eats.
This place always makes great coffee. They are tucked away right off of Waialae Avenue, but worth finding. The lady making the drinks was pleasant and competent. They had an assortment of teas and food available, as well as a nice selection of mugs and gifts to take home.
We arrived close to closing so the espresso machine had already been shut down but Anna was kind enough to offer cold brew. We opted for cold brew with macadamia milk made slightly different for each of us. Once we tasted them she offered to adjust them if needed but they were spot on, so no need. There are stainless steel straws available. The coffee was good and the customer service was memorable.
Outstanding quality! It’s a young local business that combines passion for great coffee with expertise in all aspects of bean to cup production.
Best coffee in town and always great service
Wow. Outstanding coffee, the best I’ve had on island. The owner, Olivier, was so kind and told me all about the menu and why he serves his coffee the way he does. AND it’s not Kona coffee (personally I can’t stand)! Simply amazing quality and service. 10/10 would recommend and will be back soon.
The Kauai pour over was amazing. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable
If you are serious about your coffee/espresso, you will not be disappointed. Ordered a flat white with mac nut syrup and a light roast pourover. Both were fantastic! Its a small space but who cares when the product is so good.
Absolutely best espresso in Honolulu. 100% recommended!
High quality space. Not only are the beans sourced from some of the best third wave roasters in the world, but the owner is incredibly down to earth, passionate, and knows real coffee. Had a ristretto on a manual machine and it rivaled that of those I get in Portland day after day. Well worth visiting.
I like the place. Really friendly people, away from the main street, potted plants set up like hedges to keep you out of view.
Great coffee and they make a perfect cortado.
I got a quad flat white and it was so good! It’s a very cute little shop, friendly baristas, and eco-conscious.
By far the best coffee Ive found in the area. Calling all coffee connoisseurs!
Best pour over Ive had in a coffee shop, and best coffee Ive had in Hawaii. Good pitstop on the way to the trails
This place serves QUALITY coffee. Petite little coffee shop with nice outdoor seating.
The eggnog mocha is amazing 😱; if you like mocha, u must try it! :)
