Really great space and basic eats. I had the lavender latte and egg sandwich, both were great. On a separate occasion, I had the matcha chia bowl and that was super unique! Layered with fresh fruit and matcha cream, it was refreshing and sweet. The outdoor seating is great, but be mindful of closing times. You can park at SALT and get parking validated here.
Arvo sticks to the very basics. There are fruit bowls and granola, avocado toast and tonics. There’s even homemade ricotta and nutella with coconut. 🥥 And it all shows up to your outside table looking like it’s been run through a paid app filter. But once you actually start eating, you realize the food isn’t just pretty, it’s pretty damn good. 🏝
A lovely spot for breakfast or lunch and great coffee. My first time on the island and my husband and I tried the Americano and lavender latte with almond milk. The lavender was so subtle, just enough to infuse the latte with flavor, a win for me. Also, we had the salmon toast and an avocado toast, which were great. The bread is light and fluffy and freshly made and the simplicity of these dishes make it enjoyable.
This popular Cafe has Instagramable food. but the prices and lack of indoor seating may not appeal to everyone
Went here twice for lunch on our week-long Oahu stay, it was amazing both times! The lavender latte is very good, and the halloumi burger was a delicious vegetarian twist (grilled goat cheese patty)Great atmosphere, clean outdoor shaded seating, went on a Saturday at noon and the wait was still minimalThe employees were extremely nice, all in all 10/10 experience
Everything is super fresh and delicious. Lots of vegan options. The shop has indoor/outdoor seating and the inside of the shop is shared with a florist/plant store with a bunch of locally made jewelry, cards, prints. There’s also a cute clothing store in the same big room, opposite the coffee counter. It’s amazing! Go!
Great lattes, delicious avocado toast. Definitely going back. Just wish they were open a little later.
Came here for brunch with a new friend and enjoyed a nice, quick - but small - meal with a lovely and consistent breeze.I ordered the salmon toast with an iced strawberry guava tea and my total (with 18% tip) came to ~$17. While I suppose thats not a bad price point for the island, coming from the mainland thats quite a premium for a few slices of salmon, bread, cheese, capers, onions, and tea.Service was speedy, but my companion informed me that that was unusual and that Arvo is most often busier and much more crowded. I certainly believe that as the internal space for Arvo is little more than a single table, an orange juicer, and a main countertop. There is outside seating - roughly five tables of various sizes - as well as an order window.Arvo shares physical space with a flower shop, which makes for a lovely esthetic. They also incorporate edible flowers in their food, which is a nice, small touch. So long as youre not looking for a full meal, this is a more than solid option.
What a gem! This place has great coffee and food options. We had the Americano and flat white but they also have fun things like a tie-dye latte. Some seating options outside, and on the inside they share the space with an amazing florist and a great little shop with jewelry, clothing and gift items. It’s also in a great spot of town...grab your coffee to go and walk around to explore the graffiti street art.
This was a nice place. First time trying. I had the salmon Toast and Charcoal Latte Iced. My husband had the Iced Matcha Latte. The Charcoal Latte is something to try, it was interesting and good, I would get it again. The salmon Toast was good but wish they put a little more salmon. The atmosphere and vibe in the area is great. Its calm, spacious and easy going. Parking is metered and bathroom is for customers at Salt Kakaako only.
Arvo fits in perfectly with the aesthetic of Kakaako and offers such delicious food and drink items! The avocado toast is to die for, one of the best I’ve ever had. Service is extremely friendly and get your order to you very quickly. Delicious, fresh, and an all around delightful place for a quick bite!
Arvo is most certainly my first choice when going out for coffee or meeting up with friends. Its set up in conjunction with Paiko (garden center) and a small clothing store. It has a urban/modern feel and is great for working or studying while having a latte or a small bite. Id recommend this place to anyone. Be sure to try the lavender latte or their loaded avocado toast (both pictured below).
I got the charcoal latte that was recommended and it was definitely unique. Had a nice smooth flavor and ever so slightly grainy texture but it worked nicely. My husband is picky and he loved it. Super friendly staff, I LOVED it
One of the best small coffee shops in Honolulu. Aussie-owned (arvo, get it? Except they are open in the mornings), so yes, you CAN get vegemite toast here.Accept credit cards using Foursquare.Fresh ingredients, as locally sourced as possible.Lovely outdoor seating. Very limited indoor seating. Shares a space with the Paiko flower shop. Often a line starting around 10 oclock, so get there early if you can.Definitely spring for the loaded avocado toast, the smoked salmon toast, the lavender latte. It might seem pricey for toast, but no, its not just toast. Food quality is good, shop is clean, and portions of higher-priced items are generous. Expect the full quarter pound or so of very decent quality smoked salmon on your salmon toast. Food is served on wooden planks, so um, those capers? Yeah, theyll roll, so be prepared to lose a few or grab a fork and knife at the front. Edible flowers garnish most dishes. Beautiful presentation, though often very messy. Order inside, get your table marker, grab an outdoor table, and they will bring the food out to you. Grab extra napkins at the front or bring your own small bag of hand wipes. Youll need them.Cuppa comes with coffee art, but not obnoxious or interferes with the flavor. Matcha latte is very strong here. If youre looking for a watered-down Starbucks version, go there. They do slow cold filtered coffee here that is very very good.
Great Avo toast and coffee.
ARVO is a sweet little café in Kakaako that specializes in colorful coffee pours and eye catching toasts. I ordered the lavender coffee with tie dye art (~$4) and the Matcha Chia Seed Pudding ($8). The chia seed pudding starts with a layer of their matcha chia seeds, then fruits (bananas, strawberries, and pineapples), then topped with their coconut whipped cream. It was yummy--I do recommend this! Wanted to order the toasts, too, but they shut off their machines around 2:30 as they stop serving food at 3... The coffee in all honesty was mediocre at best. I like this place for its location and atmosphere!
Small spot without any real indoor seating. Not that you need it. The coffee is good! Enjoyed a lavender latte.
I love their Matcha Chia Pudding 😋 and my love their Smoked Salmon toast
Had the strawberry guava tea and it was amazing. My husband had an expresso drink and he enjoyed it. He recognized the coffee brand (Sight glass) that they used from when we lived in California (Bay Area). And the staff provided excellent customer service. Highly recommend!
Trendy spot, amazing avo toast and chai!! 😋
Just really good coffee. But expensive. But worf it.
One of the best coffee crews on island
Love seeing more Australian based coffee shops around the world. Great Lattes and flat whites.Seating is mostly outside, but a few indoor seats are available too. Overall good vibes
Wow! Just really good!
Got to be the best place for coffee on the island. High quality espresso based coffee choice and a simple but delicious menu. A real gem off the beaten track!
Casey the co-owner recommended the Charcoal Latte. It was perfect and complimented my Salmon Toast!! Great vibe. Love the flowers in the tables and the umbrellas. One of my new “Happy Places!”
Its a really cute place, nice outdoor seating. Perfect place to take a break from walking around to get some coffee and toast.
Lovely spot with outdoor seating.Great for people watching, conversations, or a light lunch or breakfast. They moved locations and added meatballs and toast, which is one of the best ways to start your day. (Although it may not be the most typical breakfast)Since winter is coming, and the temperature might be below 80, they have an amazing hot coco if you’re not in the mood for caffeine.
The loaded avocado toast is super good and the coffee is really high quality. Super expensive and a little slow... but worth the wait.
Ive been a loyal doting fan/customer since the original opening...high vibe atmosphere, employees, and of course food...always high quality perfection served with positive vibes and a smile....lots of options for all dietary types..
Amazing 😉 if you are in the area you should check it out. They have smallBits and open face sandwiches, but they do the trick. The salmon sandwich is pretty filling. The coffee is amazing so no complaints here. If you are not into coffee, they have a variety of organic and refreshing teas.
The food was amazing.
White girl place. If you like over priced, picture perfect but meh food its for you
Great place, modern style, spacious, location is good. They have their own bathroom. Not much parking though except in the garage building type. Food & beverages/coffee is superb!
Great Place for Coffee. They serve Sight Glass Coffee (San Francisco).Nice selection of coffee and tea drinksTry the Vanilla-Activated Charcoal Latte or Strawberry Guava Mint Iced TeaAlso the Staff is super nice.Definetely come back!Thank you guys.
Me and my wife drops in Arvo Cafe whenever I visit honolulu, and It has been 3rd time already. The store became so famous, and they kindly prepared more seats for the guests. Both drinks and foods are all in great quality!
Probably the best in Honolulu. The drip was better than some pour overs. Same for the espresso drinks. Seems like they actually dialed it in and use good beans (sight glass from CA).
Cool little cafe. The food was good and the staff were friendly. Thank you!
Trendy spot. Fancy looking toasts that taste good, but then you realize its stuff you can make at home for 1/4th the price. I like the Lavender Latte
Went for coffee...Vanilla cappuccino. It was very good. Cute little place (seating is all outside) with a bunch of other boutique type places to eat and drink. Love the vibe and the staff was very nice and helpful.
Nice place, good coffee
This coffee shop is quite bigger than what Ive seen in the pictures. We just wanted to check on this place because I have read tons of glowing reviews about it. I wanted to know how true they are. To be honest, I really thought that those reviews were just a bluff in order to fool people and boy, hot guilt slapped me when I tasted their coffee and cupcakes. I was hooked like a leech! Plus, I can sense that their staffs are all friendly, kind, and accommodate each customer.
Purpole colored lemomade was cute and delicious.I like the outside tables and friendly staffs.
Few seats. cute shop. Australian way of doing things. so its Short = Small. Long = Large. Flat = milk/creme. Vegemite. i was a bit clueless looking at menu. Both my friends could not finish the coffee. its slow cold filtered. so made 24 hrs in advance. they said it tasted like whiskey.Basically the food menu i could do at home. not filling. so maybe if u need a place to talk to friend ... then doable if u can find a seat. they do validate.
Great coffee and tea here, especially their seasonal options! Food and shop are indie, down-to-earth items and the entire vibe screams Portland with a twirl of wood-clad furniture and eastern patched umbrellas.Parking a bit limited on the street so recommend biki or the several storied structure. Seating also packed during peak hours before 9 and between 12-2.
Great coffee place with outdoor street side seating. Contemporary ambience. Good selection of beverages and quick bites.
Unique twists on traditional fare with a decidedly Aussie slant. Open air outdoors seating.
Awesome its like a little town all the gift shops and restaurants the right in this little area people that clean and well-dressed very comfortable social environment your friend Tom
Avocado Toast! Best on the Island
Best service, best salmon n toast..n MOST importantly best customer service ....thankx Casey n Hiromi 😊❤️
Delicious food! A super cute shop where you can buy plants and more. Vegetarian friendly
Super cute cafe, great coffee, food and service. Gorgeous ceramics, crystals and succulents in the store too - loved it! Icing on the cake - Vegemite toast!!!
Gorgeous location with a shared space with a florist/ botanic boutique called Paiko. I enjoyed their lavender latte and the low tide latte. kitchen closed at 3 and you can place an order online-how innovated!!
Arvo is a must in HNL, coffee is great and the service is da best
Great venue, delicious food at reasonable prices! Must visit cafe if staying in Waikiki it even driving by!
ARVO is moving to another place in SALT. They have some new menu, and I ordered Match Chia Pudding $8.50, It was very healthy and good! Its very comfortable and their service is nice and friendly. I like to come here sometimes. My favorite is smoke salmon toast.
Beautiful decor and great location. Very homely and friendly. Will return for sure..
Quick and pretty brekky items, hot and cold drinks. Fast and friendly service (it was raining on my recent visit but my items were brought out to enjoy under a bit of covering). Opted to pay additional $3 for avocado over my smoked salmon toast and got a very generous mound (unlike other places that charge extra and give a few fancy slices) so if you love avo, go for it!
Great and friendly staff. Quick service. Beautiful location.
Loveee it
Great place to stop for a coffee. Lavender lattes are amazing and not too sweet.
