I had closet doors (2 mirror and 2 opaque) and closet shelves installed and just love the outcome of my new closet! It looks wonderful and the quality of the material/construction is just so nice. The installers were outstanding too, very professional and quick to install the closets. Initially, I was a little taken back with the price and did look at other places for closets but went back to California Closet because of the quality. I am so pleased that I choose California Closets. Highly recommend! And kudos to Lylah (design consultant) who gave me great advice and went through all the details and being so patient with me! Nick was my designer at California Closets and he addressed all my concerns about my built-in office.He even integrated under-cabinet lighting to illuminate my work space, which I hadn’t thought of.The California Closet cabinets are textured like linen which gives it an elevated look. Also, soft close hinges are standard at California Closet.It’s worth the extra money to be happy with the final product if you plan to live in your home for a long time. I’m glad I went with CA Closets over competitors for my built-in office.

From start to finish, the customer service was fast, friendly and professional. Karen came out right away to check out the spaces and her turn around time for the design proposals was within a day. Roberta and Jeffrey came out to do the installation--they were also friendly and respectful of our property. The phrase that came to my mind when I thought about how I would describe my experience with California Closets was unparalleled spirit of service ... from my first contact with the coordinators at the store ... to the designer, the installers, the supervisor ... all the way to the completion of the project. I would recommend this team of wonderful people without hesitation!

Roland Gabriel was the sales person who helped us plan our shelving system for the library wall. The installation crew came on time and started demolitioning the wall by taking off the baseboard and marking the wall. I noticed that the backing for all the shelving was warped so I told Mike that this was unacceptable so he went ahead and fixed this problem by adding pieces cardboard and wedging it behind the back of all the shelves. After a hour and a half, they realized that the shelving was made incorrectly because it would not accommodate the light switch. I asked them how could such a blatant error be made. They looked at the diagram and saw that the measurement Roland had made was wrong. Roland had measured from the top of the baseboard up to the light switch, not from the floor up to the light switch. They said they never had a situation like this before where they had to take all the shelving back to the store. I do not blame the installation crew at all, they were great workers.I called Roland and he sounded very angry and upset over the phone. I asked him what had happened and he said the measurements were done wrong so what do I want him to do about it. Really? No apology or saying sorry or owning up to your mistakes? Just a blatant SO WHAT? I asked him why he was getting angry at me over his mistake and told him what I wanted happening was for him to fix his mistake. He said he will pay for an electrician to come and move the light switch down a couple inches or to a different room, plus he will give me 10% back for all the trouble. The switch does not belong in another room, nor a couple inches lower than all the other light switches in the entire house. There is no other option but having to remake all six shelves again, because they were fixed shelves and they cannot have any holes. We cannot have one shelf higher than the other five, they must all be aligned. Roland hung up very angry and upset at me over his mistake. He said he will talk to his manager and see what they could do.Renee Connor, the manager for California Closets called and did not apologize once for Rolands mistake either. Rather she went on and bragged about how her store does 3 million dollars in sales a year, they do hundreds of installations, they never make such a mistake, and how Roland Gabriel is their top salesman. That is all backend extraneous information I do not care about, nor need to know as a customer. All I care about is getting the shelves installed properly that I agreed to pay for in a timely manner. She was telling me about how much of a disadvantage it was putting her company to fix Rolands mistake and remake all the shelves. She said they would be losing money. IT WAS YOUR COMPANYS MISTAKE SO YOU NEED TO FIX IT. WHY DOESNT ANYONE FROM CALIFORNIA CLOSETS TAKE SOME ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS? Also what am I supposed to tell people when they see my wall thats busted up from your mistake? The original lead time for the shelves was three weeks, now she is telling me I have to wait six weeks for them to fix their mistake? Six weeks with a busted up wall?She also said she doesnt see the point of fixing their mistake if I am only going to say bad things about their company. You are now threatening me to not tell anyone about your mistake? Is that how you only have 5 star reviews because you threaten people that you wont fix your mistakes if they tell anyone? OK Renee, since I left this review and let people know about your mistake, what will you do now? I am fine with a full refund, plus you guys need to hire a contractor to get the mess you made fixed to its original condition.

I love my new closet and shoe shelf so much that I did not put doors on mine! I work in the retail fashion industry, so I love to see my wardrobe, shoes, and handbags at a glance.The design process with Roland was fun and my installer was amazing. I will be calling again to build my office area and built-ins for my living room. Cant wait!

Very professional. Outstanding work on my pantry. I love it. I will be having my closet done by California Closets also. I recommend them highly. Hope this helps someone who is trying to find a good company to do closets, pantry, or what ever you are trying to do. Check them out first. Oh, the price is also very good. I am a working man, so I look for good deals, but also want quality work.

Recently moved into our new home that had California Closets installed in the bedrooms. My wife wanted more shelves and we needed another hanging rod so I called to get some parts - I was told that since we were not the owners that installed the closets they can not sell us the parts! WHAT?! That makes no sense - she said she would have to speak to her design managerto see what she can do - DONT BOTHER!

Lylah and Leonard did just a great job - on the intro, the design, the customer interface and the install of our entry and hall closets. The were very easy to work with and quite efficient in getting our needs met. Didnt try to oversell - or sell us features we really didnt need. Impressed with the entire experience with California Closets.

The estimator called 5 minutes before he was supposed to meet me to cancelled the appointment not offering to return. Strange I guess he didn’t want the work.

Our designer really listened to our needs and gave us practical suggestions and options. Consequently, our system is working out perfectly for US!

Our designer, Douglas, was fantastic - helped us design the perfect closet - and the installer was friendly, personable, and efficient.

Excellent communication between designer and installer; there was a miscalculation about the design and it was communicated quickly and made very clear to me what the problem was
