Book-Off is the best deal on the island for used movies... Great price, the books are awesome too! This place is a hidden gem!

Its the best place to visit if youre an anime fan, they got low cost figures, mangas, games, and lots of Japanese books from novels to magazines, etc.

I’ve just found out my must-visit place on Oahu was moved to Kakaako. And it will be grand opening tomorrow on March 20th!!! I look forward to checking this new and upgraded store in the near future. At the same time, I’d like to express my Mahalo and Congratulations to the Book-off Ohana.

Wide selection of items/& goodies for anyone @ any age ... Having just opened in March of this year the store is still has that new feel to it, its clean, well lit, & armed with a knowledgeable staff.SELLING ITEMS ~ & the Whole Process that comes with selling anything @ Böök-Off & I must say is one of the easiest things to do. The staff are fast in evaluating the items you are selling. The prices that they pay out are somewhat reasonable but it can also be quite cheap too ... which may come as a shock to some !?Either way its a good resource to look at if your trying to find those rare & unique books & items.

Did you know that Book Off moved from Don Quijote on Kaheka street to its own stand alone store on Cooke street? It happened recently so they are still getting situated so o please be patient! They are continuously stocking and organizing. The inventory is filling fast with great titles. Drive slowly as you head toward the mountain and theyre on the left hand side. Parking is kinda tight so Im driving my small car. Have fun.

I know this is a new location, but I dont think its new staff. Brought in a good amount of only books. Asked how long it would take, the girl looked at the guy, asked how long he thinks, he turns away, she shrugs, he shrugs, they tell me 15-20mins. 1 hour later, when we check up after a waiting in the store for almost an hour, she says theyre about halfway done but itll only take another 5-10 minutes (on top of the 60 mins already past). Got $19... Clean store, but unlikely to be back. Id rather drive to Pearlridge, nicer staff.

Great location just kinda small parking, but overall place is welcoming. Staff is great and theyre very helpful.

My favorite book store! Hidden gems at great prices. Workers are so kind. I only wish I could sit and read for a bit but I understand its covid times. 10/10 for this place. They also sell beautiful anime figurines.

Okay, I been trying very hard to explain that this other business that I consistently visit is proximal to Ncat. Which I never go into. The place that I do sells seeds, cookies, jams etc. I go for Marlin Fish Jerry lemon salt flavor made in Hawaii Kailua Kona sort of pricey but then again what isnt pricey now days. Gotta go with the flow. Thats life in the tropics. I believe store is whosale unlimited right where no longer exists LikeLike drive in. To the oldies when I was a youngie it was a Drive in movie and where Ross is was former Rainbow Roller land skate ring. Those were the days of my youth. Kui L ee

Only once did I not get good service. I noticed that the person isnt working for them anymore. I like how Im treated by the staff. If youre interested in something that you cant find, theyre helpful and attentive. Its pleasant to shop there, they smile when they greet you. I like the fact that they check my dvds, to make sure its not missing or wrong disc,before Im wrung up. Yes,Ive got bad discs...but never had a problem getting it resolved. Thanks Bookoff.

Great fun to browse. I almost forgot what it was to browse and discover new items in person during COVID19. Cant wait to see their bigger new store in Kakaako!

Books tucked into a niche in a grocery store. Not independent, not a good selection, not a good atmosphere. If youre looking for flea market books, then this is the right place.

Lots cool used stuff. But the sighns that were up pertaining to items were in Japanese. I dont no Japanese lol !!! Dis Hawaii, I skipped out on dat class. I only no English man, Im Filipino. Lol!!! Was interested in some stuff, but.... Nah !!!

The best Book-Off on the island. One of the few places to find used Japanese books, music and dvds. The store in Pearl Ridge barely has any Japanese stuff. If you are into Japanese media, you should definitely check this store out. The next best thing to a Book-Off in Japan.

If you want Japanese books, manga, or media, or even some English stuff as well, book off doesn’t disappoint. Ever since I have come back from living in japan I have been craving buying Japanese literature and other books (not manga) and Book Off has a great selection at an even better price. Can’t wait to go back and get some more books to add to my collection!

This location was really small, located in a small corner of Don Quijote but, had a very large selection of all sorts of media. Their used Japanese manga section was a treasure trove of cool stuff, most books were only a dollar!! Some of the prices were really high, especially on their video games, but all in all, a really cool place. Their second location in the Pearlridge Mall was disappointing. No Japanese manga at all. Gonna have to check out their locations in California sometime soon.

Awesome for bookworms/treasure hunters/diehard paper book readers/dvd/CD collected. Not the most friendly cashiers/workers, but reading is mostly a solo sport. Cheap prices, decent condition of stock and they buy too.

Its located inside the Don Queote. Very good prices and omg their selection of blue ray is in the words of President Trump huge.

I love book-off! It is definitely a gem when it comes to building your own dvd/Blu-ray movie collection. My wife and I have found so many good movies here for a very discounted rate. Its always fun. To see what they have on sale. They have a pretty sweet dvd and Blu-ray collection of not only movies but also tv shows. Great place to get movies!!! Highly recommend the place 😊

Really sucks when they buy your electronic device for cheap, then turn around and sell it for quadrupole the price. Never again. I think a pawn shop wouldve paid me more. What a rip off!!

The sections of books and magazines are smaller than they were before the pandemic. The game and toy sections are quite substantial compared to the previous one (Kaheka store), but I feel that the price is set a little higher for second-hand goods.

I went to sell for 20 children s books and children s books brought to read while traveling from Japan before returning to about five places. I filled in the name of the hotel staying on the form, the ID required, and the telephone number.

It is in Don Quijote. CD, games, cartoons etc are all in small compartment.

I bought an English picture book for my child.It is convenient because you can buy and sell Japanese books.
