I had to replace my alternator this morning. I checked other places but CPR had the right product and the best price with a lifetime warranty. Nick was very helpful and professional. I would recommend CPR without hesitation. Buy local!
Joe is amazing and has a lots of knowledge with starters and alternators.
I went there to upgrade my 4runner alternator. Driving all the way from Makaha. I asked Kelly to look at my vehicle to see for sure if the alternator will fit. He said yes and if anything Ill just have to add the spacers to make it align. He asked me wholl be installing it and I mentioned to him I had a professional mechanic. I was excited for the alternator and had to wait a little over a week for it being that it was a custom alternator. As I took my alternator to my ASE CERTIFIED mechanic, I couldnt install the new one I got from Central Pacific Rebuilders out in Kalihi. Why because it did not fit (EVEN WITH THE SPACERS) nothing align. Keep in mind I had videos showing and explaining why it wouldnt fit. I even emailed the videos to the owner of the company and instead of working out how I would get refunded for the labor I spent to uninstall and reinstall my same alternator he didnt bother to reply after a while. I understand its a business and would of been more then happy with their alternator if it was installed. But Im not happy paying for labor on a product from a company that wasnt installed because of their accuracy to make sure the alternator would fit. Time was wasted, Money was basically stolen from them, and overall customers service was disappointing in the way the Owner of the company handled this matter.
These guys at center Pacific rebuilders are the bomb plain and simple if they get fix it theres probly another wrong with it in-and-out 10 minutes brand new starter get a rebuilt one tomorrow love you guys G-man out
What a great family owned business! You have a choice, and I recommend you buy locally owned!
Always have had a good experience with this business. Have had a starter on a cadillac, alternator on a huyndai suv and a starter for a Dodge charger all rebuilt over the years since being at their Nimitz location and more recently at Dillingham. Quick service all completed in a single day. Quality work at a good price. Ill continue to you patronize this business as needed for alternators and starters .
Quick service, starter works awesome. Sounds like more kick than oem starter. Cheaper than everyone else with lifetime warranty
I recommend this place to everyone!
The place to go to if you’re looking for an oem alternator. Price will slightly be reduced when you give them your old alternator while purchasing new one.
I was looking for a alternator with internal regulator for my hotrod. I called all the auto parts stores on island(no inventory on island) I even called Speedway Motors and Summit Racing (Too expensive). I should have called Central Pacific Rebuilders first and save me the headache!! They had exactly what I needed. One stop and my rod is back on the street.
In my efforts to rebuild a BMW motorcycle, I found I needed a new alternator. The dealer wanted a bit over a thousand dollars. These guys got me brand new OEM parts for under three hundred. Joe in particular was helpful, communicative and honest
Cheap China parts, cost almost the same price as a rebuilt at the auto store. Oreilly auto parts, auto zone and other auto parts store even have lifetime warranty, free replacement on alternator and starters. Central Pacific Rebuilers, bad customers service, rush you to buy things that they dont refund back. Even while you still in the parking lot. This place rip you off. NO ohana brother. You need to stop cheating customers.
WISH I COULD GIVE THEM 10 STARS!!!If you need help with an alternator, this is the PREMIER place to go. Located on Dillingham in a little shop, mauka side, these guys are AMAZING!HERE IS THE STORY:I thought my battery was bad, but it was the alternator. I went to Central Pacific Rebuilders on the recommendation of a friend, and when I got there I discovered that the alternator has to be taken out before they can rebuild it. Whoops. So I grabbed a couple of friends the next day, and they took out the alternator. Unfortunately, they did not have any tools. However, the guys at Central Pacific rebuilders lent us all the tools we needed. They didnt charge us anything, which was just one more blessing. It was too late to fix the alternator, so we left it there for the second night. The third day the alternator was rebuilt, but they told me the battery was shot from all the jump starts I did. Wal-Mart wanted $135.00 + 12.00 core + tax, and that was a no go. Once again, the guys saved the day. They recommended Battery Bills on Nimitz, so I went over and bought a used battery for $35.00. It was in great shape! Finally, today, day 4, we got the alternator back in, the battery in, and my car is running perfectly. The guys here are more accommodating than anyone I have ever seen in any kind of mechanic shop. They are friendly, professional, and they actually cared about whether or not I would get my alternator in my car. That is a rare thing in todays world. One of the guys even told me that he was so happy I had gotten the car running again. He was really worried. If something is wrong with your alternator, run, dont walk to the shop. An auto parts store wanted $287 for an alternator, with a $60 core charge. With tax, that would have been about $350, then adding the battery to it would have made it around $500, had I gone that route. Instead, it cost me 188 dollars for the rebuilt alternator and $35 for the battery. That cut my cost almost $300. Now, what rational person would buy new and spend all that extra money for the same result?I cannot recommend Central Pacific rebuilders enough. You will have a positive experience if you go there, and you will save a ton of money. If you dont have a ton of money, it makes going there even more imperative.Give them a call!
