Best Buy adopted a new strategy, one of its employees stood by the entrance collect your name and whatever you wanted to purchase, direct you to the specific location . After which one of the assistant would be approach you for support. Im not sure the same strategy applies in all the locations around the country.

Picked up this Yamaha home theater system... very good help... not a good selection but they had what I came for. Im installing it now.... I did go visit another Best Buy in Chicago on Roosevelt at the 500 block west because I have another TV room... but anyway... talk about a very poor customer service experience... they need a lil training... not one person asked if I needed help in 40-50 minutes. I was happy to see circuit city go away because of that awful service... hey best buy Chicago... get it together!

I have zero complaints. The staff did a spectacular job by directing where I needed to go. The item I requested to purchase was exactly where they told me to go and in stock. Had to return a TV product that was just brought that afternoon because it somehow the screen was damsge when we took it out the box and the store didnt want to refund my money staying I must have broken it. Had to get a manager involved who also wasnt very accommodating and didnt want to refund my 700 dollars she finally agreed to do so tells me what a big exception she was making. Ill not buy from the Homewood location ever again

I’ve worked sales for years, and the last two employees that I’ve worked with were horrible. They greeted me and when I stated that “I wanted to buy the tv”, he then stated “Do you know how much this cost?”. That automatically felt like profiling, but that’s another story. They then stalled me on a TV I’ve been keeping an eye on to tell me “this tv could’ve been brought by someone, but you can come back tomorrow to see if that’s correct”. Basically what they were doing was being lazy and didn’t want to assist me because it was 7:34 and they close at 8pm. I know the game and they played the wrong person.

The rating is low because the 1st customer service person we dealt with told us the store didnt carry something we wanted to buy. She tried very hard to sell us another brand of the product. As she was pushing this sale, my husband walked around the display and found what we wanted. Her only comment was oh then walked away 😡. However, the cashier at the checkout was very helpful and went out of her way to find out details on why a gift card we were trying to use didnt work. I would rate her a 5 star plus.

The first guy didnt tell me that our Washer and Dryer would be on back order, so I cancelled that order the next day and picked something that would arrive within a few days. The employee helped me and explained exact dates to me and the price difference with the 5 year Warranty.We love our Washer and Dryer, and I plan to buy my Home Theater System from Best Buy soon, just because of the great service I received with purchasing my laundry appliances.

Wish I could give 0 stars to this location specifically. I came in at 7:34pm on a Friday. I seen a Samsung TV TU8000 on sale for 483.99. They lost the price card so they kept me waiting and specifically told me “the tvs price could’ve changed because we change our TV prices every week or two”. I’m a salesmen and I know this gimmick was to stall me until 8 so they didn’t have to assist me with the TV. So it’s 7:55 still no help, and they magically appear to look me in my eyes and say “someone could’ve bought this tv and they’re holding it”. For one, why would someone purchase the TV and leave it sitting there for weeks. That makes no sense. I even spoke with a very nice woman 2 weeks prior and she stated “ she price her tvs down because they want to get rid of the tvs” . Also when I was greeted I told the representative I want to buy the TV and he said “Do you know how much this is ?”. Horrible service, and I will be calling corporate because this is extremely unprofessional.

By no means necessary should you shop at this Best Buy or any other for that matter. This store specifically has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life.They sold us a faulty TV and when we took it back, not only did they refuse to exchange it but treated us like criminals and accused us of damaging the TV and said it was impossible that the TV was damaged before leaving the store.The store manager Ester was very nasty, even going as far as throwing her hands in the air (in an “oh well” gesture) and saying it wasn’t their fault and they weren’t going to help us.So far we’ve reached out to corporate and they aren’t helping either, this is the craziest situation I’ve ever witnessed. $1500 down the drain.I forgot to mention this all happened within a two hour timeframe of purchasing the TV.PLEASE DON’T FALL FOR THE 15 DAY WARRANTY SCAM!!!

Product marked as in stock on their website. Waited an hour for the guy to find it. Price match policy notes they can price match to the manufacturer site. They failed to do so and provided no assistance nor apology for making me wait. The manager was borderline rude. The sales guy was clueless and was a zombie. Stick to another store, this one sucks. Ended up purchasing from the manufacturer so the store lost out to that sale. Oh well.

My experience at Best buy in Homewood, Illinois was an horrible one. The employees are in much need of training in professional customer service. The dress attire at Best buy in Homewood, Illinois is one that is so unprofessional that its hard to know whos employed by Best buy and whos the customer. And last but not least You almost literally have to run someone down just to ask a question or get any type of assistance. If you dont have a lot of time on your hand this might not be the place.

I had a return for the third time on a pair of wireless headphones that I wont mention here. A gentleman by the name of Gerome allowed me to vent my frustrations about the product without interruptions then proceeded to show me where to find the type of headphones that I was looking for. When I found what I was looking for, Gerome was gone but another young lady was there and she picked up right where he left off and was just as sweet and kind. This is why I DO NOT order much on Amazon, personal interactions that are pleasant.

I always go to Best Buy for my large electronics. I was in a hurry just looking and maybe deciding to purchase. The man at the door let us know if we needed help to come and see him. We heard him fine, nodded and kept walking. The store manager then yells excuse me, we turn around she asks us to check in. I said I was just here yesterday and didn’t have to check in? So I come back to the door from electronics and say what do I need to check in? The gentleman at the door clearly said if we needed help. I was still just looking. So I’m not sure what that was all about. The manager said forget it after I said she just wanted us to come back to hear her speech . I repeated what the gentleman told me. I was listening, I was in a hurry and just wanted to check. So basically the manager at the Homewood location is a warden, when you walk In you better stop and hold still while you communicate with the front door because the manager will come from outta no where and start raising her voice screaming Excuse me like you weren’t listening. I wonder if the employees are treated that way by her?

Ordered online with curbside pick-up. The wait was not too bad. The guy that came out with my order was very gracious and wished me and my family a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. Considering that the store looked to be busy he had GREAT Spirit for the Christmas 🎄 rush. Sadly I didnt get his name. If all staff at this location are similar the managers are doing a great job insuring customer service. WELL DONE !

My husband and I went back last night to do a return. I just want to say the manager Tiffany and associate Latonya customer service was great, friendly, polite and very pleasant and remind you we walked in 30 minutes before the store was about to close. Remember to treat others like you want to be treated, you get what you put out. I went in to get ink for my printer. And there was sort of a line for people waiting to get in. I found my ink and I looked around at the laptops to see what size they are. And look at the price Im sticking with Amazon for my purchase. But I went over to see the TVs and they did have my TV but its a 40 inch but Im going to get it hopefully I can get delivered. I digress they were very competent very quick it wasnt a problem.

When I arrived to return two items I was greeted at the door, and once I arrived at Customer Service. The reps were knowledgeable and friendly. There is what was described as a glitch in their system which shows a different date as the last date to return items. It is off/short by two days based on what my receipt indicated. A manager was needed to approve the override, which caused a long wait time. I was patient. She approved the override without interacting with me and went to help another customer nearby. The young lady who was assisting me was proceeding with processing the return as a store credit because It is outside the return window. I reminded her that my receipt shows that I have two days remaining to receive a credit in the original payment form. She replied that this is what the manager approved. So, I asked her to get the manager again because that is not acceptable. The manager came back, the young lady explained to her my concern, and again without interacting with me, she approved the return with a credit to the original payment method. Why not do that the first time? Earlier the young lady had said that I was not the first person this occurred with, so why not address the main issue- management? Overall, I was unbothered. It took longer than it should have, but the end result was positive. Not sure that I will be so quick to make a purchase again due to the difficulty with returns.

Brought an item back to exchange for the right item of the exact same value items where brand new in the box still girl at the counter rufused to help me told me best buy has a 15 day return policy. If thats correct that is a terrible return policy definitely will utilize walmart and Amazon over dealing with a store that has horrible return policy LIKE BEST BUY.

I experienced the help of a young worker named Roma. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I am not quite up to date when it comes to computers, steaming, etc. But I am learning. Roma knows her business and is very helpful and polite. The other employees were also quite attentive to customers needs. Best Buy has absolutely improved their service from 15 years ago.

The customer service I received my last 3 visits to this store have been horrible. Here is the most recent incident: I ordered an item from BB.com, but decided after I placed the order I no longer wanted the item. I called customer service and was told I will have no problem returning to the store. WRONG! The item was delivered to my home on Wednesday, I never opened the box and went straight to the store. At the customer service desk the young lady looked me in my face and said, we do not accept online order returns. Baffled and confused by this I asked for the manager. The manager who was literally standing 3 feet away with her back turned never turned to address me or talk to me directly. She simply relayed the same message the first young lady said. Furious, I left the store and called customer service back. I was told by two different agents that any store can return any best buy sold item. That manager and associate for whatever reason lied to me. If you can avoid this store, avoid it! Shop at Target or Walmart across the street.

I found what I needed, the Best Buy I normally go to in Crestwood has gone out of business or lost their lease. It makes me wonder if all Best Buys will eventually close. I did notice the inventory was minimal. But again, I did find what I needed and the employee was helpful. I suggest if you need something to call ahead before wasting a trip, because judging from the way it looked in there, its not a lot to choose from.

Normally like best buy, but with some of the practices in place now. Ill take my business elsewhere. I had an order placed online. While waiting for the order I decided on 2 other items (totaling over$100.00) in store. I attempted to pickup my item abs past four the additional items, but was told I couldnt. I had to stand in the long lines inside, pay for those items. Then go outside and sit in another long line to pick up my original order. I put down my extra items. Followed the instructions and picked up my original item. Then returned that item as well. Due to the less than desirable customer service they missed out on sales (over $250).

Was greeted at the entrance and asked what department I wanted to shop. Staff told me I was in cue and someone would be over to help me soon. No one came so my nephew reached out to staff that was nearby. The guy came over and left just as quickly saying he had to make sure it was okay to help me since I was already in cue. He never returned and after wasting 25 minutes of my time I left.
