One of my year-end grievances: This is a really nice store but last summer, I did have two old codgers tell me, a woman, that there was no way to fix my once used, fairly new weed trimmer. It just needed the head removed and plastic blades replaced. They demonstrated this inability to do this by using a tool that was obviously the wrong size. As I was watching, I could see that the brief theatrics were beyond amateur. Then, they had the nerve to tell me that it wasnt fixable. Any person could see that the two of them were incapable. I had it fixed, no problem, later on. It was unfortunate that my late father bought this, with no tools or instruction book, from a local dealer, and he bought it with me in mind. He knew his days were numbered. Father died only months later. He wasnt completely well when he purchased this trimmer (not the best rated Stihl trimmer, by the way) but he thought they were nice guys as they gave him a John Deere hat. CHEAPSTER crooks do such things. Anyway, if you want basic advice on how to fix a basic problem DONT consult with the old wasps in this place.

Do not shop at this store unless youre ok with wearing a mask. Almost a month after the CDC lifted the mask rules, they are still making everyone wear a mask, or no service.

Needed to get a couple things. I was told I needed a mask regardless of being vaccinated. I left and went around the corner to Menards who had everything I needed.

I recently used this Ace Hardware to replace the screen on a sliding screen door. I called several places and then called Ace. Should have called them first. They did a great job and it only took a day. Thanks Ace. Keep up the good work.

Much like any other Ace hardware store, Holland Ace Hardware provides excellent personalized service. People greet you and see if they can help you in any way and every way possible. I especially like the fact that I can get specific individual bolts or screws or nails and not have to buy a whole box of them. And its so much easier to do than in those big box stores. So if you want great service, excellent selection, and the occasional sale, go to your nearest Ace Hardware. My preference is Holland Ace Hardware.

Was sent here by Ego to test our battery mower. They were very courteous and kind despite Ego sending me on a wild goose chase.

As a broke single mom, when something breaks, I just go straight to Ace. I know I can walk in the door, tell whoever greets me what I need and within minutes Ill have it and be on my way. That service is the best!

Love coming here compared to the big box store for odds and ends. The staff is helpful, and prices are not much more than bigger stores. If they dont have the filter I need for my humidifier, they order it and call when it comes in. Good old fashioned customer service!

I usually go in here to do my ups returns for Amazon... The good thing about this place is that they have extended hours. The ups counter is towards the back but someone up front usually helps with the parcels.Please note - shop is not visible from the made road, eclipsed by the church.

A secret gem in Holland...not as big as a Menards or Lowes but decent selection and the employees are helpful, courteous, friendly and always remember me. Plus they can not only exchange propane tanks, but sharpen knives.

Very helpful staff. We bought our snowblower from here. The next season it wouldnt start. They had it repaired within a couple hours at a reasonable price. They are also a great place for window glass replacement.

Felt like I was intruding on the cashiers personal life. She seemed irritated to have to put her phone down to help me, and couldnt get me out fast enough so she could pick up her phone again.

I had to come here for my ups pick up. The guy helping me needed id with the address on it. Apparently ups doesnt care if you marry anyone if they dont have the same last name they wont release it. So I waited quietly and got my id the guy was rude and sarcastic when I gave him my id. I would not come here for anything else and if I did I wouldnt buy it with their lack of customer service skills. I advise going elsewhere if you actually need supplies to a store with better customer service.

I went to here this weekend in horrible weather. My window was stuck fully open in snow and 30+ wind conditions. I parked a little ways away and came in to buy plastic sheets and tape to cover my window for my 2 hour drive back from school. I had fast and helpful service and went outside to try to patch the window. The man who had helped me, Brian, must have noticed me trying to fix the window in the horrible conditions and came out without a coat or gloves to help me cover my window. What would have taken me 20 minutes was done beautifully in less than 5 minutes! This is the place to go for quality service.

I went in to purchase a sample paint that was on sale along with my 2 daughters. All 3 of us are doing our own chalk paint projects. The owner was in and since he knew we were together he refused to sell to any of us. He stated he was not making any money on this particular sale. As far as I am concerned as rude as he was he will never have a chance to make money off of me - Ill go to Zeeland and be treated like being their customer means something to them!!

Dont know why it was so hard to pry myself away from Menards? Jokes aside considering I live on blue star, going here saves me so much time. Menards has its place, however if you need a few items going here will save you SO MUCH time. Havent spent more than five minutes here and that includes parking!! Prices are actually fair, even more so with the ace rewards, and in some items actually close enough. Give them a chance if your time and your legs mean something ( joke about Menards because you park far away and walk for a mile inside).

The staff in the store seemed nice but my attempt at online ordering with in store pick up was my worst customer service experience ever.My product went to the wrong store and their customer service did absolutely nothing extra to make it right or assure it got resolved quickly.The guys in the store were helpless to fix the problem. If youve got old single pane windows in your house and you need a replacement piece of thicker glass, this is the only place in town that has the thick glass in stock. No extra fee for cutting it, theyll have you ready to mount it up while you wait.

Hands down the best Hardwear store in town! They have at least 99.9% of the things you need for any project and if you can’t find something ask one of the people in the store. They will go out of their way to show you not only where the product is but educate you on the features and benefits. It’s like stepping back in time to when people actually cared about customers. If you need a grill look no further. Weber grills are the est you can get and Ace has them. Do yourself a favor and shop local. Shop Ace on Lincoln I’m Holland’s beautiful Southside!
