I needed to get some warranty work done on my Tiguan and the Service manager Eric was extremely attentive, professional and timely. I could not have had a better experience working with Eric and the people at Crown. Highly recommend if you need anything done to your Volkswagen for service.
Bought a car out of state from Cam and he made me feel comfortable and at ease about the whole thing. Process was straightforward and they made it easy and fast. They didnt waste my time during the vehicle delivery so that I could get on the road for the 2 hour drive.
Just had my transmission serviced. Almost $400 for them to change the fluid!! They did not perform a proper flush or change the filter! The guy told me they use a screen. I checked and it does in fact use a filter like most automatic transmissions. After leaving my negative review they contacted me to fix the situation. Just a word of caution, be aware of what repairs you are having performed and make sure they are being done properly.
Very friendly staff,Mitch did a great job very friendly, personable, funny. Didnt push us into anything we didnt want. Even stayed well after close on a Saturday afternoon!
Had an amazing experience with Marco in the used car dept! He was very patient and attentive to us, especially with us wanting to test drive several cars before purchase. We had our two dogs with us and he was also extremely accommodating to us, made sure they were as comfortable as we were, and even went out of his way to make sure they had water and were able to accompany us on the test drive! He is a great worker and makes a HUGE effort in making sure youre getting something you want and will enjoy! Definitely worth the 2.5 hour drive- for everyone- even the 4 legged members of the family!
We had a great experience working with Phil at Crown Volkswagen. He searched for about 2 weeks trying to find exactly what we were looking for and went to the other side of the state to get it for us. He did not want us to make a purchase if we were not going to be 100% happy. We appreciate all the time and effort that Phil put into our vehicle purchase. We highly recommend Crown Volkswagen.
Just had one of the worst experiences at Crowns VW service. Despite a sign on the door stating that masks are required inside, the service advisor was wearing a neck gaiter below his chin & another customer a few feet away was without a mask at all. Service person refused to do anything about it. He suggested I go talk to the person and then just shoved my bill at me without even a thank you. This kind of behavior is one reason why the US has over 400,000 deaths from Covid. Since Crown is not enforcing Covid protocols, I dont consider them a safe place to get a car serviced.
Came to look at a car at the VW/Toyota store looked around for 15 mintues and not one person asked if they could assist me! Several employees looked at me but not one approached me for help. I also took a look at their website and saw the same employees on their site who ignored me so I know they were employees not customers. Be careful with their reviews also as I noticed quite a few people who work here also left 5 star reviews to boost their rating..
Had a great experience purchasing a CPO vehicle completely remotely. Ross, Matt and Tony did a great job coordinating everything from a distance, and picking up the vehicle was extremely simple with minimal contact. Highly recommend
I had a great experience buying a new Volkswagen Alltrack. I worked with Phil O., Matt S., and Cam K. It was a smooth and pleasant experience, and my first time purchasing a brand new car. Phil provided video tour of the car, smooth communication and coordination leading up to the purchase, and I worked with Matt and Cam with preparing the financing. On the day I bought the car, I only had to test drive it and then sign on the dotted line when I made sure it was the car for me. I love my new Alltrack and the purchasing experience was great! Highly recommended. Straightforward, smooth, good pricing, great car, great people. Thank you!
I love Crown motors. Excellent deal on my VW. Friendly, down to earth. And a streamline car buying experience. Love the comfy showroom and wait room. Excellent service department.
I have been taking my car here for service since 2015 and I have never been disappointed. Ziggy is the BEST! He has always been informative, understanding, and provides great customer service. I was experiencing an issue with my vehicle that was concerning and wasnt able to get in for an appointment until next week - I gave Ziggy a call and he had me stop into the dealership the next morning offering to take the car for a drive to listen to the sound the car was making. Within less than a half hour he was able to diagnose where the issue was coming from, eased my concerns, and had me out the door & on the way to work on time! He is well trusted and I will continue to take my car here as long as Ziggy is there!
I have purchased one used car at Crown Motors and brought another car in for service. In both cases, I have been extremely impressed by the courtesy, competence, and integrity of this organization. The car I purchased developed a minor mechanical problem which they immediately (and generously) resolved. Their prices have been very reasonable and the facility is beautiful. They will be my first choice for future purchases and service.
Best new or used car buying experience in my 69 years and well worth driving from Traverse City to Holland. A virtually identical 2019 used VW with a few thousand less miles and not VW certified was $2,000 more at our local VW dealer. Mitch was an exceptional sales person in every respect. He was a pleasure to work with and always responsive and attentive to details. Well be back!
Our sales man Will was great. He was patient and didnt pressure us into buying anything. He was knowledgeable and answered all our question. Wonderful car buying experience
Awesome customer service. Everyone was very nice and timely in their responses. Super happy with my experience overall.
Great service from Cam, who took care of us in a pleasant and accommodating manner during our dealership experience in buying a CPO VW. While there were issues with the finance department, those were addressed in a customer-focused manner. Ill strongly consider buying another vehicle from this dealership based on how they handled the problem issue we encountered.
I hadnt been planning on buying a car, but after my 2000 golf was totaled by a semi I didnt have much choice. I was highly apprehensive about signing on to a car loan for the first time, but unfortunately for me, I knew exactly what I wanted (namely a feeling of safety on the road and a car I could love as much as the one I lost). Suddenly the cost seemed worth it.Will was great from the moment I walked in. He did a fair bit of work to get me the car that fit all my needs/wants, and he seemingly effortlessly handled my anxieties (no easy feat). Even after I finally drove off the lot with my new car, he continued to respond to questions I had. Will made what was, for me, a stressful situation into a positive experience.Service has been good as well. The master VW technician, Ziggy, is helpful and knowledgeable.Overall, the team at Crown is great. All the sales team members I met were happy to help me out whenever Will was busy. The two finance guys I met were easy-going and straightforward. At no point in time did I feel pressured or misled.
Yesterday my Fiance and I bought a 2011 Golf TDI from Crown. All my sales went through Mitch and he was extremely nice and professional. This was first car purchase through a dealership and my interactions with him will make me buy from a dealer again and especially Crown Motors.
The service was quick, and the serviceman was kind.
Overall experience was ok on the buying end. However, multiple follow-up calls to their finance/insurance department, including left messages went unanswered, which renders policies purchased non-cancellable even if no longer owning the vehicle. Front great, back very disappointed.
Great experience, helpful and friendly staff.
My husband and I have purchased/leased a VW for the last 10 years. The lease was up on our 2016 VW Passat and it was time to trade it in or get a new one. We went to the dealer we had been at for the 3 previous vehicles and never got a call back. We decided to try Crown to see what they could do and they were AMAZING! The manager, Will, was fantastic and we definitely continue to take our business to Crown from now on.
I recently purchased a used vehicle from them. It developed a problem with the sunroof soon after purchase. They stood behind their product and took care of the proper repairs.
It was a stressful, week long journey helping my mom find a car as quick as possible after being in a hit and run. We test drove many vehicles and were on a specific budget and quickly became discouraged with what we had found......then we came upon Crown Volkswagen. I was greeted by Will Swets who was not only very personal, but also empathetic of the situation and stopped at nothing to find the right car for my mom. Over the course of 3 days with Crown, we drove multiple vehicles and each time Will had them ready and waiting (he was happy and willing to show us and let us drive all of them on the lot if we wanted). When the right one was found, the transaction went wonderfully and he and Crown really made the best out of a hit and run situation. We will be back!
Great customer service! Good inventory for a smaller company. We would recommend Crown Motors to anyone! Great group of people!
Good deal fair $$, Will good salesman, explained everything well. Very open on costs and extras. Gave 4 🌟. Service and follow up if done well Crown will earned fifth 🌟
They have a good selection of VW TDIs at good prices.
CPO vehicles are not properly maintained. Brake pads were close to bare, cabin and air filters were black from never being changed, oil filter was beginning to deteriorate, and all wipers were original stock with failing blades. Will try to sell you on an extended warranty, tire and wheel package, and other packages that are restrictive in what they, the warranty providers, will cover and replace, with only mail in refunds to a certain dollar amount. Dealership will also send you over quoted financial plans from various institutions, with quoted monthly payments drastically different than what is originally passed on to you. Sales personnel did not seem to care about potential buyers on their lot and seemed disinterested throughout the ordeal almost as if they didnt want to sell vehicles or think you could afford them.
I had to have the air bags in my Passat changed due to a recall. The staff at Crown VW was kind, helpful, and professional. The lobby was clean and big - which worked well with my busy one year old in toe. They had a nice little play corner for little ones and chairs with desks for homework/work. It was a quick fix and I was out the door in less than an hour. Great experience!
Good crew, knowledgeable, no high pressure, great service
I went to buy a certified used car at Crown Motors VW in Holland last night and I believe they are committing auto fraud. We had went in on Monday (10/14) and made a deal and came up with a price that we all agreed upon. I confirmed with the salesman that the extended warranty was what was on the buyers guide in the window (2 years, 24k miles after factory warranty expires). We went to purchase and pick up the car yesterday (Thursday 10/17). We got halfway through signing the papers and were told oh, the warranty in the window is inaccurate and the extended warranty only covers 1 year, 12k miles) despite the buyers guide in the window.I told them they had to honor the buyers guide in the window and they told me no. I mentioned that it was a bait and switch by advertising a warranty they did not intend to give and the sales manager and a few other guys went into a back room to discuss. They came out of the room and said that there was nothing they could do, the warranty is what it is (1 year, 12k) and that I could take it or leave it. They also said Weve had these in the car for over a year and nobody has had an issue before which leads me to believe that it is intentional (otherwise after the first time they did paperwork theyd go fix all the other cars on the lot).Beware of the Bait and Switch tactics used by this company.edit: after calling them out on this online and reporting them to various authorities because I called them out for auto fraud (as specified by the FTC), the general manager got in touch with me and offered to honor the warranty on the car. I could no longer trust this company, and ended up buying a new Kia Telluride from Fox instead of the used VW Atlas from Crown I had been looking at. It definitely cost me more money (new vs used), but it is a MUCH better car and a much better experience. Im not convinced they really made things right for me at Crown, but please take what they say with a grain of salt and bring your camera to take pictures of everything before you make a deal.
Best priced cars in the area. Gave a great value on our trade-in.
UPDATE: They posted a car for sale online before it was even ready to be sold. I was ready to drive 3hrs to pick up the car, made all the arrangements. Good thing I called to confirm, because it wasnt ready. Finally arranged to pick up the car and my salesman wasnt even there and couldnt get a hold of him. His colleagues took about 30mins of me sitting there wandering the lot, to get my deal ready. At the closing table, I asked about the warranty. They said it had absolutely no factory warranty or dealer warranty. I called VWcorp they told me about 4 warranties my car STILL had. Car was missing a center cap and had door hardware missing. The sunroof was never initialized when they worked on the car, so it didnt work properly. I had to lightly punch the knob to get it to close after being stuck open. I dont think they couldve put more tire shine on my the tires as the whole wheel turned black within 100mi of driving. But good thing they filled up the gas tank for me...! Definitely not the best dealership experience Ive had. I wouldnt go back to that dealer even if I lived close to them. Wilma was nice to work with though, until everyone else started taking over.UPDATE: no contact from the dealer. 2 months later. I recently picked up a nail in the tire. When I took the tire off to put the spare on, it was flat... And upon checking out my tires after seeing 2 huge cracks in the first one I realized the tires were from 2013, dry as the Mojave. All of my tires are beyond dry rotted.Left the dealer with junk tires and a flat spare. They bought all the TDI models back from VW and do the minimal work to make them look presentable then off they go... Someone else problem now. I now have to replace all 4 tires which isnt a big deal its that the dealer whos responsibility it is to ensure a vehicle is safe for the road, sold a car with TOTALLY UNSAFE tires. And still charged up the wazoo for the car. Im no tire expert but that nail couldnt have cracked that tire. If I didnt catch this nail, this tire wouldve exploded on the highway guaranteed. Prolly wouldve ripped my bumper. Thanks for valuing a customers life and wallet 👍🏾. Clowns. #givewilmaaraise
They did not have exactly what we wanted, but suggested we upgrade a similar model with some of the features close to what wanted. The process was confusing as our salesman was juggling us with his manager in negotiations. We wanted all-wheel drive, but settled on winter tires. We asked for specific tire options. We were told that we could add for $1200.We added mudflaps and heated seats. The sales person assured us the seats would be like stock and would have switches integrated in the dash panel like from thee factory. We compromised to pay dealers cost for the item and labor. They agreed to this for $500.We signed our purchase agreement and waited for the finance department. It was a long wait. We felt disillusioned when waiting when we heard the same opening pitch repeatedly.Same order, every customer, every salesperson. You have to break the ice somehow, but it felt robotic. We were helped by the finance manager in used cars who was less than polite and was frankly insulting when pushing for extras. We let it slide and were just ready to home.We had to make two appointments to ad on extras,The tire sets was not what we agreed to. The dealer mounted generic tires. My S.O. didnt know this but I noticed when she got home. We called to question this and they claimed to not remember a specification. Rather than make it right, they explained to us that the model they provided was of good quality.Had we been presented with this tire as an option we may have considered it. Since the dealer agreed to what we requested we did not expect any sort of change to the order. The argument of comparable quality isnt valid. Big tire companies own several brands which are marketed at various price points. They may even use the same molds across several models. The brand isnt decided until a rubber batch is mixed. The better the rubber, the better the grip and durability. Top quality rubber goes into more expensive models We overpaid by at least $150.We needed a loaner car while our heated seats were installed. We did not even receive a phone call until two days after we expected to tell us no work was done yet. When we picked it up the seats were installed were not factory. They were a kit. They did not hook to factory controls. They used cheep switches on the side of the seats. We found similar kits on Amazon for ~$50The car had over 100 miles more than when it was dropped off and was short fuel. The worst part was a few weeks later. We used the vehicle to travel out-of-state. About ten minutes after a fuel stop my daughters door opened unexpectedly!!She was leaning on the door. The door was fully closed. There was no door ajar alarm. The car was locked. The door handle is on the very front of the door by the B-pillar.I trust my daughter when she said that she did not have her hands near the handle.I also trust her when she said she thought she was going to die.Once opened the door ajar alarm went off and the cabin lights came on. My daughter was able to sit up and close the door.We explained to the dealership that we would like this fixed, but had some hesitation based on the experiences and were worried that this was THIRD trip to the dealership since the purchase. We wanted assurances that they would be able to correct the problem and would not accept it if there was no smoking gun. After days of inspection we asked to pick up the carWhen my S.O. when to pick up the vehicle she was asked to sign for it before anyone spoken to her about the results. The service department failed to find any discernible defects. She was off course, unhappy, especially since this could have been communicated over the phone. The service managers response was that: if you dont trust the door, then you should have your daughter sit on the other side of the car.We have since contacted Volkswagen of America who has agreed to resolve our issues at another VW dealership.
Sales man Joel was helpful and knowledgeable.
Sooo thankful for Will and his great service!
Did great work. Prices are too high for what was done.
Very satisfactory - good service and timely
Good service and explanation
I work for Crown
