The girl that helped me out seemed okay, but nobody I dealt with seemed to know anything about my vehicle in general. I asked why Ford Pass didnt work and they told me my truck didnt have a modem for it to work with. I called the manufacturing phone number and they looked it up and it turns out that it does. If they have that information that quickly then why couldnt the dealership just look it up and make sure they knew what they were talking about?!

Great to work with. Zach was easy to communicate with and was not pushy in the least. He kept me up to date on the process and answered all my questions promptly. When I purchased my new vehicle the dealership didn’t try to push all the extras on me and made it easy to finance. Overall I thought it was the best experience I have had in buying a vehicle and would not hesitate to use them again.

I have used Barber service for my two cars for the past 4 years. Last week, for the second time, I had to immediately return to Barber service to repair a technician mistake. I received excuses but no apologies. I will no longer be using their services.

Well I took my truck in because I was leaking coolant. They looked at it and said that it would be $1400 to fix but my warranty will cover it. Great. I’m a happy camper. The next day I got a text saying they are working on it and it will be ready to be picked up shortly. About a half hour later they call me and say that they typed it in wrong on the computer and that it is not covered in my warranty. But the cost would only be $1000 dollars. And I was confused/frustrated. I asked them how this happened and that there had to be something they could do to help me out here. They said they might be able to wiggle the cost a little bit and get me employee pricing. They came back and said I could get 30% off and my total would be $1000..... so they told me $1000 and then after that said they would give me 30% off but the price was still $1000.. The lady on the phone said ‘we can do it for $1000 or we can put it back together for you for no cost’ so I had them put it back together so I can get a second opinion... NOW my truck is leaking coolant twice as fast as it was before..I normally wouldn’t write a negative review about something, I would just learn my lesson and move on, however I felt the need to let people know my experience to try to help out the next person.. Also barber Ford sent me an email asking to write a review...So be careful if you are considering them. It seems like they just wanted to get money out of me.
Friendly, helpful, professional service. The salesperson kept in contact with me while we were waiting for my new Explorer to arrive. She was also very helpful with getting my lease extended so that I could keep my previous car until the new one came in.
We were from out of town and our window motor decided to break. They were so accommodating and helpful and were able to get the parts and it fixed within less than 24 hours so we could still enjoy our vacation. Thank you so so much!

They charged me without notice for freezing door lock issues on an F-150, and all they did was slam the door a couple times. I refused to pay $425 for 1 lock, and now its a recall. Worst service ever. Did you buy it here? Do you buy it new? If not, then youre better fixing it yourself. They will treat you like trash.

Ive had oil changes screwed up here twice. Once put the wrong oil in, and once didnt remove the old oil filter gasket causing a leak. Check engine light came on for VCT solenoids they said it was safe to drive. Wife texted me the problem when I was at work, a Google search said check the oil. I called her and she said the oil light came on. Turns out it was low on oil. They never checked. Their technicians are not up to par. As well their trade in valuations are horrible. Body shop was good the one time I used them. Overall stay away.

Just recently bought a used car from Barber Ford. I’m in Grand Rapids so didn’t want to head out to Holland for nothing so the salesman Face-timed me and did a walk around the car, inside and out, pointing out the few imperfections so I was ready to travel. We closed in record time after I drove it. When I got home there was a clunk sound I was worried about so I called them up and they had me bring it back in. They had the problem diagnosed quickly and gave me a loaner until it was fixed a day later. It was covered so no charge! This was my first experience with Barber and I am impressed by their customer service and integrity, these things seem rare these days. Well done everyone!
We took our car in which was leaking brake fluid. They said one caliper, two rotors, and 2 sets of brake pads needed to be replaced and quoted us btw 600 and 700 dollars. We asked them not to fix it. They put our car back together. When we picked it up and the brakes were far softer than when we dropped it off, they didn’t replace the brake fluid, there were black particles in our brake fluid reservoir, and our caliper leaked far worse. We called to speak to a manager about it and he basically said sorry and that he would speak to the tech and that was all… come to find out we needed two calipers and 1 set of brake pads. How can the diagnosis be that far off??? We took our car to another certified mechanic and they said that the particles clogged the brake line and a couple of hours and two quarts of brake fluid later the brake line was clear. How is this acceptable??? Barber Ford how can your tech fail to do these no brainer things which I even know (having limited car experience)??? Faulty brakes can cause injury and death. You are fortunate to not have a lawsuit coming your way.

This was the only time we were not attended to promptly and left to wait awkwardly dealing with new coronavirus steps. The Works package we received was comprehensive and a value. We were content with the high quality of work done and the attention to detail. We even got a car wash. The service manager, Mr. Martinez, was outstanding, accommodating and listening to all our concerns and addressing them.

My experience with Barber Ford, and Pete Shearer specifically was top notch. Barber didnt have the exact truck I was looking for, but Pete quickly found one within a day (when other dealers didnt). The negotiation and finance conversations were fair & low pressure. All in all a great experience.

Awful service experience. No parts available for warranty repairs. Wait weeks with no hope for resolution. After a month, they finally relent and agree to take the part off a lot vehicle, which could have been done a month earlier. Dealership is willing to let customers suffer as long as it doesn’t cost them a dollar today. Very short sighted business approach. Tired of having to fight to get fair treatment. I’m done with this dealership. There are far better options.
Service Dept is awesome - when low tire light came on, I drove into Barber Ford Service and immediately two greeters checked the tires and found a screw imbedded in the right rear - they put extra air in the tire and I was able to make appointment for next day for repair as well as oil change on my 2019 Escape. Ive been very happy with Barber Ford service and sales for many years and highly recommend the dealership.
I’ve always enjoyed the value The Works oil change package provides and the convenience of being able to work remoteat a desk within their business lounge while my car is looked at. Every employee I’ve interacted with here is courteous and kind as well.

Had a wonderful experience when bringing in my vehicle for a recall repair. Marisol was a pleasure to work with. After checking recalls on my vehicle, she found there was another recall for my vehicle other than what I came in for originally. Letting me know it would take twice the amount of time to fix, she was gracious enough to set me up with a loaner car so I could pick up my child and get my errands done. My vehicle was done earlier than she estimated and I was able to pick it up within a few hours. Thank you Marisol and Barber Ford for your wonderful and caring experience. The service tech didnt reset my vehicle. So my Ford pass app said I needed an oil change still!! So I went back the next day and the serial said everything was done right in the computer. It took a while to figure out that the service tech didnt reset my vehicle. And the service gal said if that doesnt take care of it that it must be system problem!!!!! TO THAT I SAID ITS FORDS SYSTEM. AND IM AT A FORD DEALERSHIP!!!

I was happy to have my Mustangs AC charged during this current heat wave. It works great! However, I asked twice to have my Ford Pass points applied to my payment, and they charged me full price without checking for points without my knowledge. Not at all happy about that.
I grew up knowing the family behind the Ford sign. Wonderful people who hold quality and satisfaction closely. I have been impressed with Ford and their flexibility with my budget and preferences and after buying 2 used cars from their lot, I highly recommend.
I went to Barber to look at a late model used car. But after talking with the salesman (Dustin) I purchased a new car. At the time there were several rebates which made buying a new car a better choice. There were other dealers closer but I chose to stay with Barber ford because of the salesman and the staff there.
This is the best car dealership that I have experienced. Their approach to customer service is excellent. Sales agent Barry in used car sales was especially helpful.
Suddenly finding I need a new car I headed to RE Barber Ford and had the great good luck to meet Kyle Cochran. Hes an awesome sales rep who worked to get me what I needed and to turn over every stone to help me get all the discounts and incentives I could get. The buying experience with Kyle was friendly, helpful and painless. I recommend him completely.
After picking up my truck I noticed that the mechanic did not secure the cover underneath. This dragged on the road for miles until I was able to detect what was wrong. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have had my vehicle in for service only to have to take it back because the job was not performed correctly. Luckily this is minor event. I am thankful it was not a safety related item.
Purchased a used car this time from R.E. Barber Ford, this has been my go to dealership for over 30 years. Service and price continue to be reasons that we continue to use them. Will consider for future purchases as well.
After shopping at nearly every dealer in the area l decided on Barber Ford. The salesmen (Barry) was one of the best. Low pressure, informative, and up-front. Exactly as business should be done! With so many crooks in the industry, the integrity of Barber Ford came as a surprise, but was greatly appreciated!
I drove an hour and a half to see a used vehicle I found on line. After driving it and working out the details there were some minor repairs that needed to be done and I was promised they would be done in a few days. They gave me a loaner vehicle to get back home in and use while they fixed the issues. Well it took 2 weeks to fix and almost every communication I had about the status of my vehicle had to be initiated by me. I also had specifically asked if they were going to clean up the inside and detail it since it clearly was a used vehicle. They assured me they would. Well since the repairs took so long they agreed to bring the vehicle to me when it was done which was nice. However, when it got delivered to me it was still filthy on the inside and there is a crack in the sunroof. Not only that they brought 2 vehicles down thinking the driver of my vehicle was going to ride back in the second vehicle. No one told the porters they would be bringing back the loaner they had sent me home with. Just really poor communication all the way around. A very poor effort to ensure they delivered a product or experience that would wow a customer and say, We appreciate your business. They have offered no compensation and I have been told for 4 days now that I would be hearing from the owner because I was his top priority. Today makes day #5 of being a top priority with no communication. Really sad because I love the vehicle I chose but where and whome I bought it from and worked with was really unsatisfactory and unprofessional. The only guy worth anything was I believe a guy in charge of new car sales, Rob. He at least was empathetic to my situation.

Im usually pretty leery when it comes to dealerships but Barry was really nice and helpful in choosing a vehicle. I told him my price range and he showed me exactly what I was looking for. He gave me plenty of time to think and didnt try to push me in any direction. I went back to purchase from Barry at Barber because it felt comfortable and Ive never felt better about purchasing a vehicle.
Everyone we came in contact with made us feel very welcome! Our sales man was Joe Hovinga, and he was AMAZING! Totally down to Earth, very honest, and made us feel very comfortable throughout the entire process! We will definitely be back the next time we are looking for a vehicle!

At this point the job is unacceptable although I paid the bill. The turn signal lights on my truck camper that were ok before bringing it in are now not working correctly. I will be returning for this to be fixed soon and will see if it gets resolved.

I purchased my 2011 F-150 FTR 4X4 February 7th 2020. I understand that I bought it as is and over the phone site unseen. Salesman told me that they would make it right when I called them and reported something wasn’t right. After 4 hours in the waiting room of the service department their outcome was that I needed to charge transmission fluid and filter for $247. They offered to pay only a small fraction of the money. I don’t agree with that at all. My other issue is that they added a window treatment to my loan which we never discussed at all! Surprise! Ya find out when you’re signing paperwork! Not cool for people who are supposed to be Christian oriented people. They were nice to talk to. That’s not what counts!
Matt at Barber Ford in Holland, MI had a new 2019 Ranger Lariat delivered to me on 8/21 as promised and it was perfectly prepped! Matt also took the time to show me all the many great features that are on the Ranger and how they worked. Looking forward to enjoying this new Ranger!

My visit was pretty painless. It was a rainy day and I managed to stay dry from beginning to end. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly, polite and efficient. I was just there for a recall and I was treated just like everyone else. I was told it would be about an hour and I think I was only there 25 minutes.
I recently was dealing with barber on a used vehicle. When i had a trade in they were giving me one price and i sold the vehicle outright the price then went up by 3,000 dollars. Well with never recommended barber to anyone. A deal i thought was a deal but different when dealing with barber.Went to a different dealer and feel like feel like a customer schould feel like.treated with respect and value. Barber Ford sold us our C-Max hybrid when it was new, and nobody else has ever serviced it since because Barber has always given us quality service at a very competitive price. From oil changes to new tires, Barber does the job quickly, competently, and at a great price.The service advisers are very professional and helpful, the shop is clean, and the customer waiting area is comfortable, stocked with decent coffee, cold water, fresh fruit and (usually) cookies or even pastries. If necessary, Barber Ford Service will drive you downtown, to work or anywhere else in the area and pick you up when your vehicle is ready.For quality, price, turnaround time or general customer service we have been completely satisfied with Barber Ford in Holland, MI.

Got the Works Oil change and they are suppose to 1. Change Oil 2. Check Fluid Levels 3. rotate Tires 4. Battery Check etc... The only thing I can say is my oil was changed but tires were not rotated and service manager said its because we have your best tires on the back for better traction and no rotation was needed. Anyone who owns a car knows this is BS. You rotate tires to keep them equally tread wear as possible. This is not the only time they did not rotate tires and thus is the reason why my new tires are not wearing equally. I took note of this again and when time comes for new tires I will let Manufacture know that Barber Ford was told to rotate but did not do so. They also lost my service Business. Not sure now if Service was performed properly on other service work done in previous months. Example Transmission Flush and fill. How does anyone know they did this service on my car since there is no Transmission dip stick to check. So I have to take there word on it. Scary

Earlier this year I was in the market for a new truck and trailer to replace the ones I had. I was specifically looking for a Ford truck. Ive always had Fords. I wanted one of the new Rangers because an F150 was too large for my garage and the Ranger was just about six inches shorter, plus, despite having a four cylinder engine, with the tow package it would pull 7,500 lbs. I configured a truck online, then looked around locally for what Ford dealers in my area had in stock. Barber Ford had some, so I took my specs with me and visited them.I met with sales associate Matt Bol. Matt was knowledgeable about the dealers products and was able to nearly match what I wanted and even saved me a little money by providing and alternative to a couple of the options I wanted.Additionally, Ive had a little trouble with the truck (nothing horrible) and Barber Ford is working to make it right. Ive been happy with the experiences so far and Im confident the outcome will meet my expectations.
