Very happy with the place AND the people. Prices are good, and selection is good too. The folks here, are accurate and friendly. Will be going back.
Everything is good but the tires I went to go get was 40 mile trip for nothing. The dam tire remover was out of order and no one there knew what to do.
Great place to find that part you cant find anywhere else. Great selections and helpful staff. Pull your own parts.
DONT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE! parts are garbage and the employees make you want to slap them.
The employees are crooks. Theyll tell you that they dont do refunds just so you cant return a part that doesnt work..
They dont give receipts because 9 out of 10 times the part that you pull from the junkyard is bad
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. If you are willing to put in a little work... you will get what you need at an awesome price.
Always usually have what you looking for could be a little more reasonable with some of the price on their parts 10 dollars for a styrofoam piece 😬
Prices are quite high, especially considering you need to pull the part yourself. Charges $3 just to get into the yard and if you cant find the part you need, youre out the $3. The gravel yard itself is poorly maintained with lots of puddles of water beneath the cars.
Extremely friendly & helpful at the front desk, only reason for 4/5 instead of 5/5 is the lack of Volvo parts. Plus honestly, I hardly ever give places a 5 unless they were handing out free money while I was there! Great place 👍🏼👍🏼!!!
One of the very few junkyards open on Sunday. Prices are higher than weller, but still worth it. I got pads and rotors that looked brand new for cheap. Brake pads are only $1!
Like this place been going there for over 20 years, but recently not happy, bought 2 spare doughnuts to haul a car to the scrap yard with.Added a extended warranty without asking not much but dam $9 is $9 could have gotten lunch. Plus a $6 core for a spare . So $50 for 2 doughnuts is rediculous.
Bought a headlight, didnt have time to put it in. Finally got around to it. Didnt work. No refunds after 6 months. Dont procrastinate. Headlight works great, Im an idiot.
They will scam you
The location near Grand Rapids is better. It has more cars and friendly staff. The Holland location is hit or miss on customer service. One checkout guy (Maybe the manager as he seems to run the place) in particular has a super aggressive personality and will over charge. If you have the time go to the other yard.
Wish they had a real selection of odd tools fir sale. Had to leave and buy a deep-well socket.
Fun place to spend your time doing what you like.
Terrible Customer service. Went to buy wheels for a Ford edge, they had junk tires on them so normally you would get them for 40 bucks. But today they wanted 60 because they say the tire is still good to sell but needed a second opinion from a manager. Manager comes over notices the one has a broken bead, the other doesnt both in same condition JUNK. Wont sell it for 40. it will cost them to get rid of and they lost on 80 dollars. Go to Luckys on alpine!
I love LKQ, it may be hard to find exactly what you need or even if they have it in inventory, but theyre cheap, organized and very friendly, and the app is very useful.I will not stop going there
First time visit. Customer service was helpful and understanding (even with my novice-ness showing through).
I love this place. I can spend hours here. I always find something of interest to purchase.
Overpriced. Couldve Paid the same amount for brand new parts online which I looked up after I left because I thought the prices were higher than normal. Usually used local yards to pull my own but thought this was supposed to be cheaper and reputable. Drove 45 minutes to pay full price for used and still had to do it myself. Selling used mystery fluids from cars and charging the same amount it would cost for brand new fluids. First, only and last time we will be doing business at this establishment.
We love going here. Prices are always reasonable and the Yard is laid out nicely.
Great place just wish they would let u know if a part is there or not so nobody wastes their time.
Great place to pick and pull your part. Very friendly staff
Drove all the way from GR to get my part I seen on the website. Got there and all parts were gone. They need to rotate inventory. Call first.
They were rude to my husband and threatened to call the cops on him because he did not want to show them his bag. He did not know that was the proper procedure. I would not go to this place. They are even rude on the phone.
The part that i was looking for was there. Also helps getting alerts when the car that comes in. They alert you.
Got the part I needed
Very nice! Very organized. Aisles easy to get through. Staff was very friendly.
The manager has very poor attitude
There prices are a joke.
It’s not everyday I rate a company or individual.. you get rate receipts from just about everyone anymore so I disregard nearly every one of them. I don’t always feel it necessary to review companies and people for doing the right thing and giving exceptional service. I can’t speak for everyone’s experience at LKQ both South Bend and Holland.I drove today about an hour and a half for some tires for an old Subaru, 260,000 miles and going strong. I couldn’t stomach putting 50/100 tires on it thinking it’s going to go another 60,000 so I went to LKQ and couldn’t find the in South Bend so I made the drive to Holland since their online inventory feature showed several of my models at this location. The service was impeccable, the individuals inside and out were what every employer should strive to have. I will never in my life buy and new part from an auto parts store if it is available at an LKQ. Truly blessed today with a tight budget and having them there to take care of our old car. Thanks guys and gals. You made my drive and day off perfect.
Bait and switch. They told me they had the car I was looking for. Online the car was all neat and clean when I went to look at it and get parts off it it had been cut into pieces and everything on the car was scratched, dented and broken because some idiot working there destroyed the car cutting the roof off. Worst salvage yard I’ve been to.You get charged 3$ every time you go in so they are making bank just off admission and lies.
I just went to get gas and realized that my gas cap was missing. Bummer! Went to the auto place across from the gas station where I stood in line for 5 minutes, while employees looked at me. I had to approach someone to be acknowledged. Only to find that they didnt have it but could order it for $5. Told them Id be back tomorrow. On my way home stopped by LKQ Pick Your Parts salvage yard. Before I even got in the door I was greeted with a smile, given an alternative if I couldnt find what I was looking for, and given instructions of where I could find the cars. Found one within 2 minutes, and found a better one 3 minutes later. On my way home in 5. To top it all off, the guy didnt charge me for it. That is how you do customer service. Not because I got the part for no charge, I would have gladly given them $5, but because they know how to treat customers.
Got the wrong tire by accident so they stole 20 dollars when trying to come and get the right one. The man who was suppose to assist me. Spent 2 whole seconds to listen to what i needed and issued a refund for 40 when i paid 60. Then proceeded to tell me it was my fault for not reading stuff apparently posted around the building for the whole 2minutes ive been here. I had just enough to get what i needed done to my vehicle.
I have discovered the only way to get a response from lkq is with a review. They struggle with returning calls or emails. So here it is,I am still waiting for lkq to resolve the issue of them sending me the wrong gear ratio front differential which destroyed a transfer case.I have payed for two transfer cases and the r and r of both.I had the front differential I ordered installed only to discover (after it destroyed a t-case) that the gear ratio was wrong. Now I will have to pay for the r and r of a second one. Plus the expense of the seals and fluids. Let alone the time that I have missed at work, the difficulty of not having 4wd, the time spent trying to communicate with lkq, and the money I have invested into an lkq mistake. This is only part of the experience. I could go on and make this review longer than necessary to get the point across.GO TO WELLER!!!
50 dollars is too much for a used radiator on any vehicle especially when you have to pull the part yourself. They need to be more informed and in the know when it comes to pricing. Years ago they were cost effective, now I dont know 😞
Didnt catch the cashiers name, #1985 on receipt. Wanted to thank her for helping my husband with loading his purchase into the van. She was very friendly and a smile on her face! Will definitely go back! Thank you #1985!
I have been going to this store for years and I think that people there are very professional and courteous and helpful ! I have been helped by the woman there many times and she has always been nothing but pleasant and polite !The store does close at 6, but the yard closes at 530 and it has been this way for years ! It sounds like you were just angry that they didn’t bend the rules for you Paul !
Costs $3 to enter. They will give you a print out showing where the cars are located. Helpful people willing to help
They wanted nearly $140 for a used radiator and fans.. seriously??? I can buy both new for less than $90. Dont waste your time..
I work till 5 which means I get out at 5:05. I fly out to Holland to get a part, and show up at 5:40... thinking great I didnt want to be the guy thats shows up 2minutes before 6, which is the time their website says they close. Only to have the woman behind the counter tell me that the yard closers at 5:30 and she has already started closing the register at 5:45, Very rudely I might add. I have gone to LKQ alot and usually dont have any problems, but I normally go to the one on division. I was not happy with this woman or her attitude, and apparently they close at 5:30 not 6 like it says on the website. Very unhappy with LKQ hiring someone like this!!!!
Holland, MI LKQ is part of the LKQ nation wide chain. LKQ is by far the most professional salvage yard out there. Holland, MI is a very ethnic city and the LKQ there reflects that. Youll find many more Honda, Toyota, Nissan here than most other yards.
Had the part we needed! Quick and easy!!
Horrible experience charged me and my wife 6 dollars to walk into the yard then when we couldn’t find what their website said they had in stock they said not their problem. Will never go there again plenty of other junkyards
Staff is great and their website has an accurate inventory. I was able to find everything I needed
Good place
The staff was very professional and respectful will be going back again great prices
Called to order a part through them from one of their out of state stores(which I had called first, because they HAD the inventory). The out of state store told me I had to order from my local store. When I called the local store, they told me I couldnt order/buy the part I was after because they can only source parts from certain regions. So, I cant buy the part, my customer cant have the part, and LKQ didnt make any money. Nobody wins.Would not recommend, this is actually the SECOND(2nd) time this has happened, foolish me for trying twice.
Good selection most of the time. Ask if they have the car you need before paying $3/person to go in.
Great for finding what u need there is a 3$ charge for getting in the yard but I had no problems finding what I needed and they were well informing with location of cars that match your needs
My only grief is the that have asked the manger to put the Ford Probes that are second generation with the Mazda section (80% of the car is Mazda)...and they will not do it...so all the 93-97 Ford probes always get crushed because they crush old Fords first right away...so I cant get any parts..and the only parts I can get are in the Mazda section...but body and some Probe specific parts I cant get.but prices are good for pick and pull type yard
Great savings. 06+ vehicles are rare but if you got an auto older than that but post 85 its likely to be there. Stereos are hard to find but as far as motor, drivetrain, suspension or body they got it.
They love all 3 of my cars that died sniff sniff great parts available most often
Customer service was amazing! Dont plan on pulling tires off rims. There equipment is faulty. Very dissapointed after finding some good tires to fond they dont have a proper tire removal device. Now I have a bloody finger and no tires. Be safe my fellow part pullers!
I called and got quoted a price of $25. Went to the other lkq building on accident but they said they had what I needed for $40 on the shelf I said I brought my tools and needed to save as much as I could at the time. Went next door and got charged $3 dollars to get in. Then swiped my card before being told the price. Bad on my part for not asking. I ended up paying $45 for the part that I could have gotten cheaper next door and not having to do the work. I thought when you did the work it made it cheaper. All bs
Great selection and prices. Fun place to go: kind of a learning experience to see vehicles in various stages of disassembly.
Xdamn good, best sevice and great staff Associates.
3 dollars to get in. Way over priced parts . No soap to wash up afterwords and literally argue with you to wear a mask .
Low prices for car parts. If you see a car posted on their website that you need a part for, come immediately or youll miss your opportunity. Parts fly out of here quick.
Very rude customer service... Definitely a place that does not see the importance of customer service.
Great place to get parts if you work on your own vehicles.
Prices on some items are sometimes a teeny bit high but thats really the only complaint I could have about them. Good selection of cars though they do turn them over quickly
I used to able to call the store directly and get an estimated quote for how much they would buy my vehicles for. Now I have to deal with a very time consuming, annoying call center.
Pleasant people. Knew what they were doing to help us.
Went for wheel molding for a durango on line ebay part was 50+ these guys are helpful telling u where to find vehicles your looking for and i picked up molding here for less then 15 bucks so good place to find cheap parts if u read reviews the ones that have bad experiences have no idea what junk yards r u might not find your part but if you do it will be cheaper all the vehicles out there are not going to have the all the parts still on them its a junkyard for crying out loud people need stuff and take stuff every day off from these vehicles so its a crapshoot if you find what you want good place overall will definitely return if I need parts
Wish I had more time to look for parts.
Saves me a lot when i pull my own parts
Good price. You can get interchangeable parts.
A wide selection of vehicles, great staff, wish the inventory was more detailed
I called with a basic parts question. I was told that unless i was on the yard and actively searching for a part they would not even try to answer my question. If that is the attitude you have just lost 3 customers, 2 of which are, or were, regulars. There are other places to go.
Good amount of vehicles and good prices.
Terrible service and they over charge was quoted a price on a set of heads for my truck spent 3 hours getting them off went to check out and the price was double dont use lKQ go to Weller self serve better service and way better pricing.
I love LKQ! ..I love picking Parts! Aaaand ....he gave us Free T-shirts!!!!!! 😍👚👕
The staff there are the best out of any yard around!
Good yard good prices fair
Money saver. ....alternator @ AutoZone $193.....Alternator @ LKQ $31.00
Cant go wrong with lkq
No complaints here
Didnt even go . Im in Michigan but because my cell phone is registered to Illinois I couldnt even get in touch with a Michigan yard
Over priced in my opinion. Bought an alluminum rim the other day they charged me $33 on top of a $15 core charge. Tell me how that adds up to $78???
Just called here within the open time and it says thier closed and Im not going to east my time or gas hopping over there to find out they dont have the part I need
Always lots of parts and very good prices
36$ for a used control arm. It seems this place is hurting for business
Kinda pricey for having to pull your own part. Could have got same part off line for $20 less but couldnt wait for it to ship
Lots of cars and trucks to look at. Very clean for junk yard.
If you know what youre looking for and if you get lucky its a good day
Dont call and ask a question..they hang up on you
My favorite place for parts!!¡
A place for buy car parts used economic price
Decent parts and help, thanks.
Quite expensive!! I could have bought a pair of aftermarket headlights, online for less than I paid for one! Plus I had to trudge through the mud to remove it myself!!
If you can pull your out parts, there is no better place than LKQ!
I didnt have enough time to pull my part!
Probably the best place to get used parts
You need to change your time on the internet, i looked you up and it says 10-5 on Sunday but was closed at 4 so wasted trip there
Clean yard and great staff
