Wayne was great! Got me in fast and out just as fast. Truck sounds great!! Thank you.
Quick reasonably priced work. Had my car done exactly when they said it would be and it runs like new, if not better. I cant say enough good things about this shop.
Worked with Wade over the phone and gave me an honest quote for my request. Then upon arrival he immediately got me on the lift and informed me that I didnt need what I originally thought because I already had it (piping size) and instead of a full Catalytic back exhaust with larger pipes, I only needed a straight pipe (muffler deletion, basically take the thing off) and I also had him install a muffler tip, and it looks and sounds AMAZING!! Big ups to Wade and this shop. Im 100% heading back and you should check them out. I was on and off the lift in like 30 minutes with a whole new throaty sound. Awesome stuff man.
Fast service with a great bang for the buck! They even went the extra mile and painted my pipes to match my black theme. Highly recommend. Truck sounds great without being annoying. They went into detail about all the systems they offer or if you wanted to bring in something for install.
I called in for a quote to get some mufflers installed and got quoted $75-$100 per side (so about $200 total). I show up, sign the paperwork and hand over the keys when the guy tells me it’s gonna be $300. I explain to him I was quoted $200 max over the phone and he says the best he can do is $275… waste of a trip, why would you quote over the phone and give a different price in person?
This guy is very knowledgeable and work was done quickly with a high level of quality.
Went in asking for a new muffler and after we looked at the muffler together he showed us what was wrong and it was considerably less. Fair and honest which is hard to find. Highly recommend.
Great work on both of my vehicles look no further than master muffler for all of your exhaust needs
Wade is awesome does great work at a really fair price..
Called them up just to cut off my original muffler and throw on a Borla for my 2008 Silverado. They said come in whenever so I went there asap! I showed up and they pulled me right in the bay and up on the lift. Off with the old and in with the new in less than 30 minutes! Super friendly guys, & very experienced. Great overall experience! I’d recommend these guys to anyone! Thanks again Wade!
Got my muffler delete less then 400 for my e 46 I gotta 328i great price great guys wade and william were amazing if you want quality work without the extra cost COME HERE
Wade and company are great! I brought in my 1968 Camaro for a complete exhaust system. They installed an X pipe and a pair of Flowmasters. Top notch workmanship with great attention to detail. Great price as well. I highly recommend Master Muffler out in Hillsboro for all your exhaust needs.
Did a great job on my exhaust installation. Only thing is the day I brought in my car I was in a rush that day(very busy day) and I wasn’t thinking and handed them my whole key ring. When I got back to pick up my car I had two safe keys missing from my key ring. He didn’t seem to try and look very hard... and it’s a bit unsettling knowing they also have my home address with my safe keys missing. Besides that my exhaust looks great
Thank you for the great job you did on my muffler on my 2007 Nissan Versa.
First come first serve service, friendly people and fast replacing a converter in my truck, paid exactly what I was quoted over the phone. Will definitely recommend this shop to family and friends.
Good work by good dudes.
Lyle and Wade were very friendly and straightforward. They operate on a first come first served basis (though you could probably make an appointment if you had a custom install job in mind). They got my Subaru up on the racks immediately and diagnosed my rattling exhaust right away; they had it fixed in 45 minutes which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, fair prices and would come back again.Covid-19 related info: they had good signage about their mask requirements and max occupancy in the lobby. There is a plexiglass barrier at the front register; however, I would have preferred they wore masks when talking to us as well, but they did keep their distance from us. I also would have liked to see him sanitize his hands prior to entering my vehicle. (But Im not removing any stars from my rating because its not related to the actual services they provided.)
Great overall service. They did my catalytic convertor quick and easy. Highly recomend going through this guys.
I went in yesterday muffler was damaged and hanging off. The guy took my car in within the first 5mins of me being there. fixed it and added extra support and pipe. They are friendly, funny and have unbeatable prices. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS
Outstanding service, specially Wade!!! He did an amazing job on my exhaust!!!!
Great customer service
Got quoted at one price on the phone, different when I showed up. Waste of time. Look elsewhere.
Brought an incorrect y pipe to them and it didnt stop them. they cut it up and made it work. Fast and friendly. Highly recommended.
Had them install a full cat back on my mustang! little spendy but good quality job.
Wanted a resonator added to my exhaust, they were able to order the part within minutes for a next day installation. The actual installation was also very quick, barely spent 15 minutes on the rack. The price was reasonable, and Im very happy with how my car sounds. All in all, great job and Id have no hesitation coming back for anything else I need done
I went in and got a face to face quote for 450 dollars to install parts I brought. Those parts were two mufflers, a y pipe and a resonator leaving only the bends from y pipe to muffler which were not very long, and the pipe before and after the resonator which had very minimal bends. That price included replacing a 6-9” pipe with a new one for 75 dollars which is really steep but I said ok. When I showed up to pay, I asked about that specific pipe that cost 75 dollars and was told that it wasn’t replaced however the price for everything else came out to 450 anyways. That was not what we agreed upon and I was never even called to be notified that it wasn’t done. I understand exhaust work is not easy, but that’s completely wrong when there was an agreed upon price. Not to mention the price for the work was honestly a bit high to begin with. This is not the first time I’ve dealt with this here but it is the last. There are other shops that do equal or better work for a lot less. I’d say those shops would be worth a little extra drive. Lesson learned.
Fair prices and friendly staff. Quick service.
I took my handicap Dodge Caravan into this shop and needed new hangers for my muffler. Wade and Lyle did an outstanding job. I was in and out in under a half hour and the price was very reasonable. Fast, efficient and friendly. Just what the doctor ordered! I will go back again when I need more muffler work done.
Wade and the owner are the bomb! Very nice and knowledgeable people. Did a fantastic muffler delete on my 2006 bmw 330i. Would recommend to anyone who needs or wants exhaust work. Thank you!
I took my car in after attempting to put together exhaust parts from different manufacturers to create a full exhaust system. The parts were not aligning, vibrating against the undercarriage, and the twin tailpipes where far from level. The guys at the shop were able to get everything aligned great! And did so fairly quickly. Recommended.
Welded my exhaust in minutes for a very nice price.. I felt like I was being told the truth .
Wonderful service. Very Happy
This shop is amazing! No matter what it is, on what kind, or type of vehicle, these guys can handle it. Ive had multiple exhaust/muffler jobs as well as headers done once and have always had a great experience, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always have the customer in mind. This place is a No Brainer, got a problem? got a question? Show up and youll get what youre searching for. Thanks again guys.
The people are very friendly and helpful for letting me know what was making nois under my truck and they even fixed it no charge. Great customer service!!! I will be back.
Went on Saturday 3/9/19 for a muffler delete on my 2017 Mustang GT. All done professionaly and quickly about 1 hr. Very happy with work and exhaust sounds like it should, like a muscle car should. Great work Erik and Lyle.
Gave the shop a call. Told them about my problem with my exhaust. They told me to come down and they could get me in right away. Got there and they welded the bracket back onto my exhaust. In just a few minutes. Thank you.
These guys rock. I brought my car in for my brakes and struts. They looked everything over and told me the most pressing issues for my car. They knew I was on a budget and they worked with me to prioritize the fixes. Then they noticed my front tire was about to blow and drove it down to a tire place to get it fixed. They got it dropped back off at their garage so as not to inconvenience me. They were great. Plus they kept me updated on how things were going and made sure I was happy with everything along the way. My car no longer rattles and its a much smoother drive! Champions of their trade and of customer service. Definitely bringing my car back to them.
Master Muffler & Brakes installed a catback exhaust I purchased elsewhere. Unlike other shops, I did not need to schedule an appointment in advance. I came in when there was little traffic, and within minutes my vehicle was on a lift. Even with the complications of a single-piece factory exhaust, and an electronic exhaust valve, they completed the job very quickly. Their sight-unseen estimate was significantly lower than other shops (both in time and money), and was completely accurate. I highly recommend them, and expect to return here in the future when my brakes need servicing.
They were open on time, and they did a great job
Masterful work! I spoke to Tracy and explained what I wanted done to my 1973 Dodge Charger. I was completely satisfied with the work on my car, priced right and done exactly as I asked. Im picky and do my research and refuse to settle for less. If you drive a classic car and need quality work done at a fair price, then do yourself a favor and bring your ride to them and ask for Tracy. The best bang for your hard earned dollar and in my opinion, the best muffler shop in the area. They have worked on 2 of my cars so far and Ive never looked back!
They did a great job with a quick exhaust repair while I was on my lunch break. Price was reasonable and work was high quality and fast. Would definitely recommend them for exhaust work. I will keep them in mind for future brake and driveline work as well.
They did a most excellent job of installing new headers and fabricating a new exhaust system for my Maxivan. I highly recommend them.
Wade was amazing and got me a price I was happy with and really expressed confidence in his service. Would recommend to friends and family.
I called ahead to make sure they could do the work - I spoke with Tracy. Once I got there, battling construction traffic along the way, they gave me every excuse in the book as to why they couldnt do the work (unless of course I was willing to spend a couple of hundred on a new CAT, etc.) I finally left when Tracy walked away from me to help some other later customer while I was basically in the middle of the conversation with him. I dont have a problem with people not wanting to take on a project... but telling my you wont even install a pipe hanger? Please dont even claim to be an exhaust shop. Please dont waste peoples time by telling them youll do work then not do so when the customer arrives. Get your info. up front if you need to.If you are looking to have some cheap muffler put on your car for exorbitant prices, go ahead and go here. Im sure a Honda Civic or Ford Focus wont run with any less performance. I think I will stick with my known mechanic who will ask me questions and give me what I want as the customer.
Tracy is one of a dying breed...those who take each and every customer/project personally and does everything within his means to make the customer happy at the lowest possible cost. Personally recommended to me by a friend, I took my 66 Chevelle to Tracy for custom exhaust extensions. He took the time to cut, heat, bend, and weld multiple pieces of pipe to form 2 separate exhausts with subtle differences required to navigate the nooks and crannies. When his first try didnt work, he tried a second, third, and even fourth time until he got it perfect. All at no added cost to me. I would PROUDLY recommend him to everyone I know for the most basic to the most complex exhaust work! Thank you, Tracy.
Got an aftermarket axle-back system installed here from my 15 Explorer. Tracy is the meticulous Master Muffler man!! This place will get my business each and every time I need exhaust work. Highly recommended.
Got of recommendation from Chaz Auto & RV (via Curtis Trailer) for a muffler on our new to us micro RV. Great job and super customer service. Also got shocks replaced and it made a huge difference in the way it rides and handles. Glad we found this place and can support another local business. Highly recommend. Gary & Ruth
I brought in my wifes 2002 Camry in for a manifold catalytic converter. The installation was clearly done by an amateur or someone who was extremely lazy or impatient. They used what looks to be a plasma cutter to get the sensor in the correct spot instead of properly unbolting and attaching it. They also did not protect the fan shroud from the plasma which melted a portion of the shroud and warped the fan. We now have to replace the fan on top replacing the cheap catalytic converter which is already clogged.Do not risk your car with Master Muffler
Love this place I have been taking my cars there for 10+ years I have brought them my own parts, had them use their parts several full exhaust systems that all looked and sounded amazing! and almost every time on a walk in..also never did they go over the estimate, they are very reasonable and fast and will continue to have my business.
Great service! Fast and friendly. I highly recommend!
They did a great job doing the repair I needed instead of trying to sell me something I didnt.
I have been to Master Muffler quite a few times and have had quite a few very good experiences. I recently bought a catalytic converter and saved hundreds of dollars. Thank you! Highly Recommended
Super friendly honest and to the point brought my car and there was in and out within 20 minutes I will definitely be recommending this place
Hands down best quality and prices. I walked in to have two of my mufflers deleted and have a single pipe installed in its place. I went in at 320pm and was out by 4pm!!! On a walk in! They talk you through it to make sure its exactly what you want and dont try to upsell you on anything, when they easily could have. I will continue to come back for years to come highly recommend these guys.
This is the 4th time in the last 10 years I have used this business for my aftermarket exhaust needs. They fixed an exhaust leak and installed some JBA Short Tube headers on my 1995 F-150 5.0L that sound and perform amazing. These guys stand buy their work and products. I will continue coming back when I need exhaust work done in the future for sure.
Great place to do business. Very personable and professional. Did a great job on my 48 chev pickup.Definatly reccomend them.
These guys always have a solution to my exhaust questions. Highly reccomend.
I highly recommend this place to everyone, and plan on getting a muffler for my wifes van done there.
Great service, in time, above and beyond my expectations.
Good guys, and excellent work. came in with alot of questions, and left very satisfied after they added a Catback and dual exhaust. exactly what i wanted.
Took a little longer than quoted, but, for good reason did exactly what I wanted and matched my tips up perfectly. Excellent over all
In and out in 20 minutes with a muffler delete. Great service and great prices!
Excellent experience overall
Needed a new cat asap. Took about twenty mins. Quality workmanship.
Very pleased with the work done. Could not recommend enough.
Good deals....wade always kills it
Tracy and Wade rule the muffler world. They did everything on my Jetta from cat to tailpipe. Professional, friendly, reasonably priced, what else is there? Works for me and I wont go elsewhere.
My friend and I stopped by to have a cherrybomb we bought installed and they not only did the job at a incredibly reasonable price they went above and beyond with the installation. These guys are great and not only am I recommending them to everyone I would never even consider for a moment going anywhere else.
Awesome customer service
A good place to go if you are in the Hillsboro area, for brakes and muffler service. They also do other repairs, so give them a call to inquire about your particular needs as well. I went there today, after a tow truck driver had backed my car off of his flatbed truck at too steep of an angle, breaking my rear exhaust bracket, and impacting the exhaust pipe hard enough that it damaged my muffler, and ruined my catalytic converter. I saw Eric, who happened to be at that location today fortunately, as he now works mostly at the Tualatin location. Not only did he and the other tech diagnose the issues quiickly and efficiently, he replaced and repaired the broken exhaust bracket, including welding, at no charge. That rarely happens nowadays. The estimate seemed fair to me, and I told him I would have AAA contact him, as I expect them to cover the damage which was caused by an inept towtruck driver / contracter.I would highly recommend checking out Master Muffler and Brake, before assuming you got a good bid elsewhere. And if You are in the tualatin area, ask for Eric at that shop, and feel free to tell him I sent you. Cheers!
Great friendly work, inexpensive and fast. Thanks guys
No Pride in Work, Quality dropping like a rock... maybe if you just need a muffler with no mods, adds or changes you can get a muffler from here. Had been going here for years but something has changed (Ownership?).It all started back a few months ago when I asked for an X-Pipe to be welded up to the mufflers. I asked that they put on bolting flanges, which they did. Turns out I was scraping here and there. So I take the car back and ask for the flanges to be removed. As the car is going up I point out the issue and the service person says, I thought so... Hmmmm....Flanges out and pipe is welded straight through... and Im still dragging. Turns out the X-Pipe was up against some suspension parts under the car and they werent going to get any closer under that car. OK, bad setup, my fault, it wont work unless there is some serious pipe surgery. So I go purchase a new H-Pipe for the car and bring that in. Ask that they install it. Sure, $150 + any extra modifications needed. Im willing to pay the money. The work takes two folks about an hour. While doing the work, no one came out to say anything was wrong. After finishing up I pay the bill which was $200. They go to pull out the car out and they cant get it off the rack. It takes a couple tries, multiple pieces of wood and the car comes off the rack. I say to the two folks there that it was hard to get off the rack. One of the gentlemen says, Yep, the pipes are lower now than they were before... Really??So for $200 I got an installation that you know is lower than before? You knowingly put things together with a problem? Could of left it on the rack and told me there was an issue? You dont offer me any options, dont even say there is a problem until the car is out the door? Just get me to pay first and then, to put it nicely, had me a mess?By the way, I own a regular car, lowered, but not lowered to the ground. Its a not perfect, but nice and I like to keep it that way. I had it lowered 19 years ago and had probably had the car drag less than 10 times in 19 years. Im pretty handy, Ive done a lot to this car to keep it right, I would have done this install myself but I just dont have the space for a welding outfit. The parts I buy are quality aftermarket brands like BBK, Maximum Motorsports, etc.So I take my car home, put it up on 4 jackstands and then proceed to put the jack under the new pipes and can lift them a full inch without touching a thing! wow...After these two events my take away is that Master Muffler takes no pride in their work. Arent willing to point out issues, wont talk to the customer about ways to fix problems found. If it was going to cost more to get things right, I was perfectly willing to pay it. Isnt it a goal of a business to up-sell you. You had every chance...twice. Ive got three other cars, two which will get some work done. But guess that $1000+ bucks I could have easily handed Master Muffler will now go somewhere else.
Great prices fast service
Got the estimate of what we wanted. Schedule appointment and then they did not do what we asked. We wanted new muffler and 3 inch piped from the muffler all the way to the end of the tale pipe. They used the existing pipe where there was a bend, this is just laziness. Then if that was not bad enough the wielded clamp just broke and I will be taking it to another shop. Do not trust they can do the job.
My brakes were spongey and a little grinding noise so Erik took and look at them cleaned them up tightened them and did not charge me anything. The brakes work like they are brand new. Thank You so very much!
Fast and affordable, came in and they fixed my cat converter in no time the same day. help you get what you want done.
Nice muffler shop clean reasonable prices
Quality, Midas wanted $400.00 for a rear muffler on my Audi Avant Tracy at Master Muffler was $174.90, my only whine and I whine alot is the store reeked of cigarets, yes tobacco, excellent quality and price, dingy waiting area, I chose to go outside and play with the Palm Pre phone thingy bobber, very pleased, car sounds sharp, the communication was spot on as what I wanted was custom. best to all, Bill
Thay have the worst customer service I have ever seen!!!!!
Great service friendly staff
Very efficient
Really appreciate you guys working on my exhaust. Had a car I bought with mufflers that were too loud. Had it swapped for oem mufflers and added tailpipes. The following day I had my mechanic look at an unrelated issue and he said the welds look really good.
