Lynn is wonderful! The soaps and lotions are amazing. She can also create a scent for you while you wait.

I really wanted to love this place. But I bought 5 different soaps. They smelled great, however after the first use have no smell at all. Also the lavender soap is very drying. Everything in the store is expensive.

I would like to give a better review, but I went to this shop on a Friday (today) at 4:30 and its closed. 2nd attempt to shop in 2 months and they clsed before the website time. The website even says they are open until 7pm tonight. I think Ive tried enough. Got to stay open to do business.

If 0 Stars was an option thats definitely what it would get this place has recently become a pickup store for orders off of the app wish. I get there its 4:39 when I arrive theyre supposed to close at 5 and the doors were locked and no one was given a notice. I think that is very rude it wasted 20 minutes of my time and gas I mean she could at least or he or whoever could at least put out a notice to wish to let them know that theyre not going to be there and then the store next door said that she hadnt been there all day. so this is not very reliable place to be picking up items from wish

Super friendly! Great smelling soap. The owner greeted me with a smile and showed me where the men’s products are without being pushy at all. Then I spent probably an hour having a great conversation with her. She invited me to stop in any time just to talk. I might take her up on that offer.Artisan Soapery is exactly what local businesses are all about. It’s not just a soap shop. It’s a place where you are treated more like a friend than a customer. I will definitely be back, a lot.

Love their products & the owner is so nice!I went to Hickory, NC to evacuate from Hurricane Florence and I was walking around downtown... I saw this shop and had to stop in. My 2 year old was being a huge butt and it didn’t even bother her (he embarrassed me).She was so helpful and nice.The soaps smell and perform so well! The lip balms are my favorite and I don’t want to use anything else.

Very unprofessional,became a vendor in my store in January came and set up the products then only came back one other time and now trying to say we never paid I cannot control the mail twice I emailed and I resent the check and turn I never heard anything else back until June 26 when I ask her to pick up her things she said not a problem but waited till over two months to send someone else and that person said she had been too busy. We have a contract that says you must come once a month and work your booth and checks are ready after the 5th. And if you are ask to leave then you have 30 days to pick up your things, if not picked up then it is abandon. We are not responsible for the vendor picking up there check. After I was informed that no checks have came I am now sending it certified mail so someone has to sign for it. I would think twice about doing business with these people they look good on the surface but will bash you on social media when you follow your contract with them.

Now, I am not really a soap type of guy but you gotta hand it to this lady... she can make an awesome soap. Natural, made in house and sold there.Service is always with a smile and she is super friendly. Knows her products very well and offers new products without pushing them down your throat.The place is super cool. Very original, very local and also very creative. Its a very inviting shop that makes you want to return again and again, even if its just to say Hi.

The ONLY place to buy excellently crafted, all natural, handmade products. While the downtown Hickory location offers handmade skin care products, there are also a variety of items from other local artisan vendors. Beautiful location, knowledgeable and friendly staff, as well as a quality product that has no parallel!

Came in from Nashville a couple of weeks ago and got something for my wife. She loved the soap, so when I came back I bought some more for her plus some for me!! The owner Katye is super helpful!!

LOVE her products, all made by the owner herself! Clean ingredients and wonderful results. (I couldn’t live without the Facial Astringent!) I’m not a local but I either order the products online or make sure to stop by when I’m in town.

We stumbled into the shop while visiting NC and fell in love! My daughter has extremely thin hair that tangles into a head of knots each morning, I literally have a drawer of different detanglers that do not work, the hair revival spray is amazing! It makes the knots come undone and I can brush through her hair without pulling or causing breakage. To top it off all of her products are safe and natural.

I went for the first time yesterday to see if they had any bath bombs for people with sensitive skin (I personally have had trouble finding bath bombs for sensitive skin) and the associate was quick to help!! I bought the Calendula and Aloe bath bomb that she recommended me. I tried the Calendula and it was AMAZING!!! I highly recommend purchasing bath bombs here if you have sensitive skin.
