The devastation in Candler, Cruso and Canton, NC caused by flooding from tropical storm Fred will break your heart. I went to grab lunch at the Fresh Market on Hendersonville Rd. in Asheville and Douglas and Ellen were so kind to arrange to load me up with your beautiful bags. It will make it so much easier on the folks who lost everything to be able to get supplies. Thank you so much for your kindness!!

1st time being here. There is a lot of great fresh ideas. Prices are a little high compared to where Im from. However, as long as the food quality is A+ thats all that matters. Friendly staff as well. Our cashier notified us of sales that they do on Thursdays

Purchased the chicken salad from the deli on Friday. My wife ”which is 8 months pregnant” was eating some, and pulled this from her mouth. Pretty disturbing .UPDATE: 8/8/21 3:34. I called, they said to bring the container and receipt to get another container of chicken salad. No thanks.

If you are into food that is supposed to be good for you and have a fat wallet then the Fresh Market is the place. It’s a small location but still a good selection. Nice staff. However, it’s rather dark inside. Great parking.

The best and freshes food so many choices nice helpful staff

Best bakery and produce. Little slim on organic though. Is where to go to get prepared foods of any kind including fruit trays, cheese trays, bulk candies and chocolates, and bakery items. They also have meals and salads to go as well as hot meals that can be eaten there in the little cafe space at the front of store.

A ton of unique and healthy products but, a bit pricey for some things. $5 Thursdays chicken kabobs, baked at home pizza or rotisserie chicken... great for a quick and yummy dinner.

Tried some spicy crab and avocado sushi.it was delicious! Also found pumpkin pretzels!!! A serious favorite!!

The store has a strange vibe, the wine selection is questionable (as in no selection), and a weird layout too. There are plenty of other grocery stores Ill be visiting.

I like coming to fresh market for the unique items no other grocery store has. Also, the jalapeño pimento cheese is to die for.

Fresh matket is fresh and wonderful .price and quality is high. It kind of like shopping at nordstroms . it all good just expensive .

Dont shop here much since they remodeled because they got rid of most of the stuff I was buying (bulk items mostly)Addition for owner....all the different dried fruits and nuts and the bulk candy so I doubt that youre going to add them back in.

Have to go at least weekly to get our sweet fix. Their cakes and cookies are all melt in your mouth.Their meat is beautifully displayed and they have recipes if youre not sure. Or you can go across and pick out what you want pre-made at the deli. The staff are nice and helpful.

Lots of yummy dessert selections and other fresh items there from different countries as well as lots of health foods too!!

The Fresh Market seems to be one if these markets that draws a particular type of customer. Im not really sure why tho, because they have something for everyone. I would say a good choice if you are picking steaks and shrimp for a special evening meal. Great choices. Good meat cuts.

I Was doing a batch for InstaCart for the very first time at this FreshMarket in Hendersonville. Once I had finished shopping, during paying I had realized I was unsure how to pay with the Google pay app on my phone. I had brought this to the attention of the older ladie running the cash register and she was also unsure (understandable) But rather than bringing someone over to help, She insisted that I could not use my phone to pay that I had to return all the items in my cart myself, And after explaining to her that it would likely be impossible for instacart to send me to a store where the batch could not be paid via my cell phone, she asks the younger ladie bagging the groceries to void the computer so I could began putting away my items. During her doing so I had place my phone on the number pad for paying. Luckily thats when I realized my phone needed to be near or touching the sensor in the computer. Besides the point, Ive turned away every batch I have received for shopping at this store now because of this incident, That alone is several hundreds of dollars a day that is now going to publics across the way. Now this all being said I had mentioned the situation to a manager on clock that day, unfortunately I dont believe that helped. If youre able to avoid the problem Ive had then they store is very nice. Sad it takes one employee to make a bad impression

Love the food, but not the prices. Went today and there were no available shopping carts so I was holding my baby, a loaf of bread, a sack of potatoes, and not a single employee offered to help me.

First time.. great place. The chicken salad was great, tasty and healthy. They had our favorite mandarin orange salad dressing too. Well probably start buying our meat at Fresh Market. Very pleased.

The Fresh Market is an interesting place to shop. They have many cheeses a normal grocery would not have. They have a fresh sushi area as well as a terrific meat counter. I have never gotten meat here that wasnt of an excellent quality. They often have foods to sample. The bakery has delicious foods including a fruit tart. The deli counter makes fresh sandwiches, salads, quiches, etc Today we bought an apricot brie that was made right in front of us. (They also had strawberry.)Their wine selection is very good as well.

Love the Hendersonville Fresh Market! Usually only buy sale items because prices are higher than other local groceries though. Their $20 meal deals are great for easy suppers and a good value.

Stuff here is pretty pricey as everyone already knows and the last time I bought a pie from their bakery the entire bottom crust was uncooked and doughy but Im hoping to have better luck this time because they look so good from the top! Its always nice to have good quality products and good brands represented and specialty items available for those occasions when you need them but Im definitely not a regular shopper here even though I can walk there right from my house.

Can be a pretensious crowd and a dis-interested staff, but they have good fresh veggies and fruit and a good meat department. If not for that, Id avoid. Just about everyone you come in contact with is annoying here, be it employee or customer.

Who doesnt enjoy wine tasting at a supermarket? What a way to get me to buy so many goods I didnt need...and a damn 30 dollar wine. At least almost all I ate and drank satisfied. Thank you, Fresh Market.

This is such a different grocery store shopping experience. Dimmer more ambient lighting. Calm music playing. Great produce samples. Lots of deli choices. Interesting products. Makes sure to check out the bulk section. Great chocolate covered pecans, walnuts and almonds! Lots of gf choices. A fun time.

I see what kind of vibe theyre trying to cultivate, but they missed the mark. I witnessed customers being extremely rude to staff I know that people pay for the atmosphere and their food that cost 4 times as much as it should but the chicken salad that I got was not only $6 for 1/2 pound it had feathers in it and they wouldnt give me anything that didnt have feathers in it to replace it. The classical music is nice and I know some people attribute cost to value but the value of this particular grocery store in my opinion is extremely low

Im sorry, I dont know how I reviewed you. It was definitely not intentional! I enjoy the Fresh Market a lot! I actually havent been in a long time, as I have a 2 year old and he generally spends shopping trips being as loud as he can and thinking its hilarious. Im glad you replied, or I wouldnt ever have known I posted a review!

Until the last two visits, would have absolutely said five stars. Now that they have been bought out, I am realizing that part of what I loved was the actual shopping experience, by which I mean the soft classical music playing in the background, the peaceful vibe, the relaxed atmosphere, the free coffee samples, the shopping carts already set up, the upscale look. Now, the atmosphere is rushed, tense and chaotic, if classical music is playing you cant tell, no more greeting with coffee samples, employees are blocking aisles stocking and tensely running around so that it is very hard to shop, favorite products are gone, you have to set up your own shopping carts which creates chaos and delays as you enter the store, there is less organic produce, what once felt like a beautifully run place now feels like total chaos, far less upscale and what was once a delightful and relaxed shopping experience is fraught and stressful. You have absolutely ruined what was once a beautiful store and a delightful shopping experience. You have taken the elegant spirit and soul out of the Fresh Market.

I love the weekly $20.00 meals here! They are a great deal! Only problem is then I start shopping for other things and end up spending more than I want to.

I love fresh market. However, the last two trips have been a little disappointing in that they did not have the cheese that I like really well. And the cheese cased looks like it needs some attention and there werent any small containers at the olive bar. It just looks like somebody needs to work a little bit harder. It used to be the store that set the bar for high-quality. I havent been in for a few months so I really noticed. No Stilton cheese which I found really weird, and another soft pinwheel cheese that they usually slice and package and price themselves. Twice now theyve been out of it. Still is a great store. Just those things were a little disappointing.

Fresh Market has an appealing ambiance. This smaller store has a more limited selection of brands, but what they have is good. Their meat and fish selection is excellent. Definitely recommend.

Not a lot of options surprisingly

I enjoy going to The Fresh Market. Its bright and cheerful and filled with delicious treats and beautiful displays. I always find what I was looking for and generally something new to try.

Too pricey. Not a lot of specialty items like 10 years ago. Seafood is usually blast frozen. I just made the best meal from their swordfish tonight. The wine list is beyond bad. I use to spend 600 a week here on wine. I have not done that in years.

This is a really neat store. Lots of good looking food. Prices are not the cheapest but theyre fair for what youre getting.

I enjoy going to the store and can usually find what I am looking for. Unfortunately, they dont always have the items advertised for the Little Big Meal promotion. I went in 3 times on this latest promotion and they did not have the advertised selection. On the second trip, when I asked about the vegetable lasagna, I was asked if it was supposed to be there . Me, the customer . I politely referred the employee to the card attached to the display. This isnt the first time this has happened. I will continue to shop there as the next closest store is in Asheville, but I wont get my hopes up with the specials.

This place is gorgeous - one of my friends describes it as The Disney Land of food!Walking in feels like going to an indoor fair, or an upscale farmers market. Tons of great teas, chocolates, organic produce and meats, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Patrick, who works in the deli, treats me so politely and is always pleasant and helpful.

So I get out of Pardee hospital after a week and I am dressed in sweats and on my way home when I find myself in need of bathroom so I stop at this Market to go and also to buy a quick snack. NEVER have I been treated so badly. Given this is alleged to be a health conscious shop this was doubly awful. Also I was amazed by the amount of allergens grouped right by the door. So NEVER again ever and I will be steering all friends and relatives away as well.

My friend and I thought we could get a nice sandwich for lunch since they have a deli, but the chicken salad was substandard, somewhat sour tasting and a half sandwich was $6.99. We threw it out. My friend doesnt like to complain and dumped it before I could take it back. They are going to have to step up because a new Publix is just about to open next door.Since I posted this review, Fresh Market has reached out to me and my friend to apologize for our experience. That, in my opinion, shows that they are willing to correct this problem so that other patrons will continue to enjoy all that this unique store has to offer.
