Tiffany at Extra Space Storage in San Lorenzo was the best. She was very professional and helpful by addressing all my concerns. Because of her is why I’m staying with them. If I could I would give her ten stars.

The customer service girl who got me into this space was quick witted and quite succinct in fully defining the rental process, the fees, my rights and limitations, how the corporate managed rent increases and late payments etc. Her straightforwardness and direct-to-the point manner was actually much more informative and professional than Ive seen physicians and surgeons who give lame descriptions and vague answers to their patients during obtained consent prior to surgical procedures. As we went over contractual details I felt pretty safe knowing okay, this is how they run their business, there you have it. Lets rock n roll... She got me everything I wanted size-wise, almost free-standing at ground-level with change to spare. Thank you very much. If only I was as quick as she... I now have to move in! Clean, yes. Safe, yes. No complaints this far.

Mouse problems! Be sure to Purchase rodent deterrents before storing. And maybe even use “bug bombs” once a month.If they had told me to do this. I would definitely have done so. To protect my valuables. At almost $800 per month for my storage units. They should be taking care of their rodent problem.And they’re increasing the prices? Is that to prevent this and provide better hygiene?Now I have to leave all of my boxes in my garage and unpack them carefully to make certain there are no living rodents to take into my new place!I saw a special on the news last week about this. So people. Just be aware and protect your belongings yourself. Go prepared, I didn’t. Its good thing it was only 3 months. I can’t imagine long term units must be a real mess with mice.The check-in experience was easy and the staff was very friendly. I rented 2-Large Outdoor spaces within a couple days from each other. . They were the same size, on the same row just a few spaces apart; but yet for some reason not the same price.I moved my items into storage in July, periodically checked on them and began moving them out in Late Sept thru the first week of October. Basically 3 months.In removing my household goods with absolutely no food stored. We uncovered Mice, we saw at least one alive wondering around my unit and lots of “mouse droppings” inside my boxes on the mattress that was wrapped in plastic etc.Buy mouse stuff and bug repellent to keep your items free of infestation.

My experience at extra space storage was outstanding. Especially the outstanding customer service Tiffany gave me. She took her time to show me around, options of different storages, different plans you offer as well. She was so upbeat, friendly and super kind. She was very knowledgeable about all the questions I had. Definitely recommend extra space storage and if you do go ask for Tiffany will go above and beyond for you.

Im pretty sure I reserved a unit with elevator access. When I got there, there was an elevator, but were not allowed to use it. I had to lug everything up a flight of stairs, and the big things, like the bookshelf and the dresser, Im not gonna be able to store cause theres no way Im getting them up those stairs. Even for the price, its disappointing. Theres not even a light inside the unit

So glad this is the first place I checked out for storage because for one thing, they have great customer service. I enjoyed the personable snd professional service I received from Ian and how he explained everything so thoroughly. I’m definitely going to recommend this storage facility to all my family and friends from now on.

I was also able to get the online price of the storage I selected. It was really convenient and I liked that they have pound the clock security as well. Just seams all the extra space storage is clean. Fit Movers Plus picks up from here and drops to Extra Space often each week. They all seam professional. Thanks to them all.

The stuff are very helpful, kept my belongings as safe as they possibly could. When they noticed the someone had messed with the lock on my units door, extra space put there own heavy lock on my door, informed me of the the situation. Unfortunately someone had gotten into my unit, now it is the hands of insurance people, the good thing about getting the insurance is extra space storage is letting the insurance company yes the door lock was obviously damaged .

Well, in my experience the online website and phone staff where superb, going in. Halfway through trying to navigate the place to my unit, I received distressing family news that needed my presence immediately. I spotted who I assume was the manager and hastily past him my lock and key, as well as the unit number. Told him it was an emergency and to just kick it in the unit and lock it. I have to go....with a bewildered look on his face and not really a clear understanding of where I left my stuff in a random hallway, I left him there. A day or two later I called and low and behold, he found my positions, located my locker, and locked it and held onto my key until I could return. Now I know quality customer service when I see it, but the people here go above and beyond and for that, im truelly gradteful.

The agent who helped me was super nice, explained everything to me and he showed us different options. It was his first day at work and nonetheless he was super efficient throughout the process. His name is Ian. Thanks ver6 much

My experience with extra space storage has been exceptional been in business with them for over five years and couldn’t have asked for a better customer service experience they are professional and helpful always thanks extra space storage!

They increase monthly rate to a ridiculous amount. Do not recommend renting a unit here where you think you will pay certain amount and the following month you end up paying about $80 more.

Tiffany went above and beyond to accommodate my request, it was last minute and she was able to help me out a couple days before moving. She was professional, informative and overall just a sweet person. I’ve never received this level of customer service at a storage facility. So thank you Tiffany!

We moved our furnishings into storage at the beginning of the pandemic. Today we cleared the storage unit and moved into a new place. Extra Space was great during the stressful move in and cared for our things while we were away. Very friendly staff.

Had both of my storage units broken into within two weeks of each other, and had priceless things stolen. Staff said Id be able to get a refund for that month - but every time I called about actually getting the refund I got nowhere. When I went to close out my account, the staff said I was good to go and didnt owe anything, and then months later I got a call from collections demanding that I make a payment. They made no prior attempts to actually contact me, just sent me right to collections. I will never recommend this place.

I would have given them a 5 star rating as they are very nice and always willing to assist in any way they can. Place is kept very tiddy. However today I had to get a craftsman tool chest, the bottom draws, and even empty it was quite heavy for me. I didnt think it would be a problem as my unit is on the second floor and theres elevators. The chest has wheels so easy breezy right? Nope....elevators werent operational. Quite a work out getting that chest down the flight of stairs. I didnt go to the office to enquire because I was on a time limit so I just made a hell of a racket, got a couple ankle bruises and got it done. This is really quite a nice storage location though easy in, easy out. Well ok Ill give them a 4.75 rating.🤗

Honestly was extremely nervous paying for storage online with out visiting the site first. But shortly after paying for the unit I received a call from a nice woman who gave me further instruction. This made me feel better about my decision to purchase a unit here.This morning I received equally great customer service. The staff was all super friendly and helpful.Great experience so far!

I chose Extra Space Storage because it was the cheapest and had many size options. It has more locations compared to other local storage companies. Signing up was quick and easy. I would prefer having longer access hours. My location only had until 7:00pm. Also there is less moving space for first floor units. If one cart blocks the way, there is no way the other can get around to move to the next unit. In addition, I would like it more if there was option to chose whether to get insurance or not instead of having to sign-up mandatory insurance with Extra Space Storage. My stuff did not have much valuable and I felt I didnt need to spend so much on the most basic insurance premium. Having said all that, I would still recommend Extra Space Storage. Thank you.

My little brother drove to Vermont and bought a house, so I did him a HUGE favor yesterday by meeting a moving company at Extra Space Storage to get a quote for shipping his houseful across the country. This would have been impossible without a ton of help from the staff, since I didnt have Brothers actual storage unit numbers or the correct keys! The staff helped me with using his access codes, finding the units, changing the locks, disposal of some garbage from a unit, meeting with the movers representative, and much more. They turned my nightmare of a day 🤯 into a pleasant one 😃 with their friendly, helpful service.

I just left extra space storage with a contract that I am ecstatic about. I truly didnt think that to be possible when I entered. Erin was the young lady that helped me and Darren was the gentleman running the show. They were both the true definition of hospitable. They also made sure that I got the best and most for what I spent. I never write about or post about companies that I deal with but never do I leave feeling like the people gave me the best the had. I believe extra space storage in the Hayward did give me the best they had in every way, so I feel obligated to tell anyone looking for a storage space. We are here moving our stuff in right now, and not thrilled about leaving our nice furniture in a storage facility covered in rat traps with homeless people living in the outdoor units. See below for note to the building manager:Woof, we have had a difficult end to our day of moving. To start, it was quite hard to find the staircase to get to our second floor unit as people are not allowed to ride in the elevator.There is also a homeless man living in a unit in building E. There are rat traps all over the place. All of this certainly did not make us feel like our belongings would be clean and safe.Now, the elevator to the second floor has stopped working. No one from Extra Space is picking up the phone to help us troubleshoot it.If we had more time, we would have canceled our lease here and moved our things to a cleaner, more secure facility but unfortunately we are moving and today is the last day we have to take care of everything before we fly out.I’m truly disappointed by all of this and will be worried about whether bugs and rats will find their way to our furniture while we store it here. I can see now why they make such a big deal out of requiring insurance, and truly confused as to how this place has a 4.8 rating. Spend more money per month and look elsewhere for a storage facility.Update: 30 minutes into our move and both elevators in our building are broken. No one from Extra Space is picking up the phone. What should have taken 45-60 minutes is now over 3 hours because we’re carrying every item up a flight of stairs.

Darren was the best!The storage was kept fairly clean and they had added additional locks to the door a few months ago.Unfortunately my experience had a little hiccup since my unit got burglarized. The virus certainly has brought out worse sides in some people. It was quite a bummer at first. But on the bright side I had insurance.Darren came to help immediately and was very empathetic and kind.He kindly explained to me next steps such as filing police report and filing the claim. And even later on I asked for additional help, he was always very super friendly and more than happy to help.Even though it took a while, but now my claim has settled and I got my money back with the help from Darren.I particularly appreciate his help at a challenging time as this.Thank you Darren!!All the staff at this storage were very responsive and friendly.

This place is great,they have all different size storage units to fit any size you need. I came in to get a price for a unit to store my tool box and the woman at the front desk TJ was extremely polite and helpful. She walked me around the property showing me the difference in the sizes with the units. This girl really went above and beyond her job and got me set up with perfect unit for my particular needs. So much so that after i did all my paperwork and was ready to start moving my tools into my storage, I noticed I had left my headlights on and my battery was dead. TJ came out to see if i needed help and then let me run a extension cord to one of the outlets so that i could use my jumper to get my truck started... I mean wow i couldnt ask for better customer service. Its because of her that i will be recommending this place to all my friends and family!!! So if your looking for a good storage that is cheap but they take care of you and your belongings as if it was there owen then come to this extra space location and make sure you ask for TJ to help you, i promise you will be glad you did... Its hard to know even where to begin.I came to Darren, the store manager, in a state of utter shambles. My life as I knew it had a completely fallen apart.With a kind word, gentle smile and an unequivocal understanding of my situation, my heart was set at ease.I knew that I was going to be well taken care of as soon as I walked in the door.Every time I came back, Darren was there with a wave, and a smile. My name is John and Im about a month late in posting this review. I came in about a month ago and Tiffany and Tiffany assisted me in getting a second unit. Good names for them because I got Tiffany-Like quality assistance. I got a second unit because of the employees like them and I couldnt beat the price. It also didnt hurt any that they arent hard on the eyes!! I had told them that I would post a great review for them when I left there and here it is a month later. I had to post today because l am headed over there now to trade 2 units for 1 big one. Tiffany and T.J., so you dont get them confused,are excellent 👌 at their jobs and have only your best interest in mind.----Very helpful and accommodating, as is the Manager. The premises was very clean and well maintained. Shout out to the maintenance guy, he got the service elevator going when it didnt want to cooperate. Staff alike was very attentive and helpful.

I have dealt with companies where people dont man the desks, it takes forever to get help, and even experienced someone once saying that this was holding up their lunch. my experience at Extra Space Storage was the exact opposite. The store manager Ray Sherrod took extra special care of me. I felt right at home. He made sure that everything was exactly the way it should be. Thank you for that ray. I will most definitely be using this company in the future.

I cant say enough good things about my experience.The facility is huge, but easy to navigate. It is modern and clean and doesnt seem sketchy like a lot of storage facilities. The security also seems good. The indoor units are clean and well lit. The item lifts were easy to use.A note on the prices, the rates listed online do not include the mandatory insurance. From my understanding, youll need to get insurance most anywhere, so its not unreasonable. The lowest insurance plan is $14 for $2000 worth of coverage.Basee on my first impressions and leasing experience, I would recommend this storage facility. I cannot speak to the long term experience, but, its been good so far.

They changed my lock without advising me, here i am on a sunday needing something from inside my storage and no one is here, theyre closed, no one to talk to.. oh im so furious!

This place is great,I have 2 units here and I pay under 100$ a month. I have a small locker and a bigger one as well. They offer plenty of sizes of units and their extremely affordable, easy to access via public trasptation. They have reasonable gate hour and they never harass you,great staff
