The place to be for a casual quiet weekend. Tons of shops to choose from, name brand n not too crowded.
Came here yesterday. Not sure what kind of cleaning crews the stores in Harrisonburg are hiring because dirty bathrooms seem to be a trend here, but I went to the restroom yesterday over by Dick’s, first of all; all the stalls had gross finger prints all over the doors. Second; not a SINGLE soap dispenser had soap in it. I had to walk over to JC Penny (which BTW, MUCH cleaner) to wash my hands. The mall had been open for an hour already. Just. Wow. I am so sick of walking in to find dirty bathrooms in Harrisonburg.
This is a fairly small mall but still really clean. There is plenty of seating and fun stuff to do. Elevation sports was one of the highlights our trip! You have to check them out. However, there is only one set of bathrooms in the whole place. This made things quite difficult and easily could be fixed with just one more restroom on the other side of the building.
I use the T Mobile store there, I grab a bit at the cheap but delicious Chinese place and I visit Hot Topic and Spencers. Its great what I need it for. I dont do anything else there to be honest but those places are tried and true.
I went to California Nails for a pedicure (Yanet, the best ever)ended up at Pennys which had a sale and bought clothes, earrings, and a ring that looks like the real thing. Great day!!
Pretty small, rural area mall. Thankfully, its always clean and even though they dont have too many shops, its enough to spend a few hours or an evening. Lots of vacant spots after Covid, I would love to see this mall blossom and possibly add another floor but this mall has almost looked the exact same for over twenty years.
I actually only went to JCPenney and Sephora, plus the salon!! STAFF is awesome, friendly and helpful!! Found the things I needed, plus had help finding a new fragrance in Sephora.. Love it. Also got some product in the salon.. Good visit. . Plus, anyone out there looking for a job?? Theyre hiring!! ALL stores need the help!! THEYRE HIRING!! ANYONE WHO WANTS TO WORK CAN FIND A JOB!! Also, theyre so short staffed and sales are down to the point that they may need to close at 5 pm daily!! We need to help keep our economy going!!
Loved it. Not overly crowded. All stores I walked through were spotless organized along with friendly and helpful dale associates.
A fair bit of the shops inside were permanently closed but the ones that were open were great. Also, that Chinese place has killer food and they stuff the take out box
Its always clean.. but I dont see this place staying open very long unfortunately. There is not many shops there now, I only go for kay jewelers.. hopefully it picks up
I enjoyed the mall even though I bought too much at Belk.
Very good I got everything I wanted good prices and good service
Nice mall sad to see malls going under. Safe place for teens to walk around.
Good mall just didnt have a lot of store open
I only give it 4 stars because it is incredibly clean on the inside.Deals are scarce, buyer beware.
The stores were cool, but I feel like they should add some more stores that are kid-friendly.
Good selection of stores. Still a good place to shop.
Kids love to go here they love to just walk around here.
Joe was my technician and did a great job. Friendly staff. Good price as well!! :)
I was an out of town visitor. Nice, clean. Especially enjoyed Books a Million and Target.
Our mall sucks! They really need to work on getting some better places in there!
I love the Valley Mall They need more clothing stores. Hope it doesnt close.
Went to Pennys and got two leather purses for fifty five dollars!! Great sale!
I got exactly what I was looking for and Im satisfied with not having to travel far away to get my shoes i wanted!
Super fun. Aunt Annes is where its at!
This is a sporting store that didnt carry a bike tire pump...but happened to have one left in the back. Hmmm. Yall can do better. And why did I have to go up front and ask the cashier for service? Im sorry but 3 people shouldnt be helping one customer. Time management.
Well I’m going to this mall today for the first time, hopefully I find the love of my life there
Spencers has really gone down hill lately. The practical jokes are way too tame. No sulphur dioxide (rotten egg gas) capsules or exploding cigarette loads.
Feels like a ghost town nowadays. I miss FYE, one is the best places that was in there that wasnt just selling clothing. Bath and body works, belk, and a few others are the only stores I really visit here, but really, theres not much choice. The Christmas and Easter displays are always so cute, though!!
Overall multiple good experiences. In some stores get followed sometimes but thats just people for you.
It has plenty of stores and its extraordinarily clean.
JcPennys had a poor selection of short sleeved Van Heusen dress shirts.
It is spacious and easy to follow covid norms.
A nice mall, decent food court and kids area.
Most stores are closed but what remains open is clean and up to date
Hadnt been in a Spencers store in 25+ years. Forgot how much the cater to adults. When youre a kid walking in, youre like omg! As a grandparent you walk in and go OMG they let kids walk in!
I love all malls i have not been to all of the malls yet but i like to shop alot :)
A cool mall that tries harder not to die or let its customers down. A good places to take the kids, not much food options but found the mall to be alive and well. The variety of stores are satisfying and they even had a bouncing house that our kids loved. Also clean restrooms are nice. Some shops are doing better than others but the location is vibrant
Nice store selection and lots of places nearby! Easy to see if youre not from the area. Great shopping experience!
First visit at this Mall. Purchased from Belks. Excellent Sale. The Rep in Men’s Cologne was very helpful and friendly.
I love this store. The managers and employees are very nice and helpful
Ashley at lens crafters was fantastic!!
Love the Valley Mall and all the stores being in one location. Sad to see so many malls failing now.
Everything is closing so i don’t really find a reason to shop in there anymore
It was okay. Didnt find anything tempting enough to buy.
Only went to the Target, very busy but quick check out, clean.
Went there to get Aunty Annes pretzel. Its the best place to buy pretzels
Becoming one of the few still worth going to
I used to go here all the time but now I only come once a month because they took out my favorite store FYE and replaced it with something really dumb. It’s still a pretty place and the options for food are incredible. I love getting either pretzels from auntie Ann’s or Chinese food. It’s a really nice mall, I just wish they would stop removing my favorite stores
Pretty basic mall. Clean but not allot of stores, most of which are clothing.
This mall is just.. Sad!
We live in Washington DC and visited this mall because were on vacation and its a nice mall my family and I really shopped and my grands had lots of fun at the arcade
Lots of shops, always fairly busy. Always pleasant staff in any store we visited.
It was a nice little mall. Love how people sell homemade things in-between the stores. I enjoyed myself. I would go for even if just for a nice walk.
Its okay for a mall. A lot of closed stores right now. Pretty much no choice at the food court, Chinese food or pretzels.
Great place to get a walk.
Has become a poor excuse of a mall. All the stores are closing and are sitting empty.
Need a better variety of stores and more places to eat
Was clean and open and not too crowded.
Its good, not as big as i thought it be for a city.
This mall is hopping, doing very well.
Typical mall shops. Not crowded
I have not been here much since graduating college years ago. I went a couple of weekends ago while in the area. I thought it was well maintained. The stores have definitely changed over the years, but I found what I needed.
Not much to offer there these days
Typical mall if you like to come in person to try on clothes or shoes you should find plenty here. has the gift type shops too and great place to shop so you can get gifts for all ages or if your buying for a lot of different people it would be a one stop shop.downfall is lost a couple of great stores .
Decent mall. Got a couple of places to eat but Im sure covid is stomping out businesses in the mall.
Like many malls these days, the popularity is going away, however this mall still has some decent options.
We had a great waitress and the food was great. I dont know the name of waitress but she has my vote as the best.
Not many places to go toIt’s more like an indoor walking parkIt’s still got some stores open . But most of the places inside are shut or waiting to be leased out.Maybe it’s the pandemic that’s caused this effect
Great place to shop. Clean.
I’m from New York so I was expecting a lot more from this mall. It’s honestly wack...good stores get taken out and replaced literally every month. Cleanliness is pretty decent tho. My favorite stores are American Eagle, h&m, forever 21, and the Auntie Annie’s pretzels are bomb!
Dont go there anymore once the new owners took over 12 years ago. They got rid of the Food Court, I stopped going. Plus they cant keep their clients. I predict that the Valley Mall will be torn down in 5 years. Local Staunton Mall is being torn down as we speak..
Another mall to go into the history books. Ever since they torn down the Walmart that was attached to it it has died. The mall looked like something out of the movie Dawn of the Dead.
Clean stores and good parking
Great mall to pick up things plus get a little walking in
I know malls are dying everywhere. But this one is suffering from the Mall Decline. Its ashame, but someday soon Malls in areas like this should come back someday. The business is in the area. Its just getting places that will bring people in
Nice mall. There’s a few stores and tons of parking. Everyone was socially distancing and the stores were pretty strict about their rules which is good that they are trying to be safe during such a weird time.
Just went to Pennys to use the restroom
They do not have enough stores
Got what I needed and right out and employees were helpful to
Was excited that this mall was so close to massanutten water park!
Looks like a dying mall. Auntie Annes couldnt keep up with the line of 4. Reminds me of old blue hen mall before it closed
Kind of small compared to other malls that I have shopped at and not many niche stores but it has all of the common mall stores that every mall in America has. Also the chines food is pretty good.
We only went to Books A Million. So many different topics, children, teens, Christian, a place to find any author. The staff was outstanding. Wish we had one closer to home. Definitely a stop on next years vacation agenda!
Like hot topic and seeing different stores🤟🏼
Great place to shop, clean and safe
Good selection of stores
Nice mall, unfortunately like all malls is dying away.
Some good stores but overall very sad place
Very disappointing, half the stores are closed. Food court is gone. The stores th as t are open, are going out of business. The ones that are open, employees dont seem to care to help customers.
Really need more store options. Feels like the mall is dying. Food court also sucks with the exception of the pretzels.
Its beautiful daily in Virginia Im enjoying myself with my family my mom and my dad and my sisters and my brother and now my nieces my great nephew my great-niece and my grandbaby we are all having a good time Im loving it Life is Beautiful
Theres a decent amount of things to do here, despite some of the stores being closed.
The mall did not open until 11:00am on a Saturday. Would think that the stores would make alot more money if they opened earlier. Especially on a Saturday.
Doesnt realy have much here, except the obligatory hot topic and pretzel stand youd find at any mall.
The Valley Mall has great stores like Hallmark that have unique, gift ideas for those hard to buy for people in your life.
