The salesperson who helped me today should get a fat raise. Fuschia sneakers, green streak in hair, badges on lanyard she made the buying experience enjoyable and it should be. For sure I would not have a made a purchase without her influence: knowledgeable, attempted to sell me more stuff which means I’ll likely purchase there again and I’m happy with my purchase.

Went in store for school shoes for both children. I knew in advance which shoes my daughter intended to get so picked those quickly. For my smaller son, not as easy and had a hard time fitting him with a shoe. While struggling to find an appropriate shoe for my son, Sales staff kept pushing socks and sprays for maintaining shoe color to the point that it was obnoxious. When shopping with smaller children, chill out with the hard sales techniques. I ended up saying no to socks and sprays more than once and ended up going to another store for shoes for him merely to get away from the pushy sales.

Went in looking for a specific pair of shoes. The sales girl was helpful, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. Great customer service.

I’m going to find an excuse to buy a pair of shoes the next time I come back to JMU just so I can stop by Journeys.Tailgating mishap on the grill resulted in grease stains on my new suede boots so I went to the mall to buy cleaner at a shoe store. Happened upon Journeys where Rel first helped me get the right cleaner and also pointed out a comparable shoe if mine weren’t salvageable. While I’m looking at the shoe he asked, “Want me to get started with the cleaner?” where he proceeded to put up a chair and for the next hour sat with me trying to clean my boots. We succeeded well enough where I couldn’t justify buying a similar look so I bought another pair of NBs to replace my old New Balances.The whole team in there got along well, were sure to call out support when a customer needed it and one of their managers freaking sat with a brush and cleaner and scrubbed my shoes for an hour, potentially working himself out of a shoe sale. Can’t say enough good things. Go buy sneakers at Journeys.
