Great Mechanics. Took my car in for what I though was wheel bearing noise. Miguel and the mechanics looked it over and told me I needed tires. Sure enough, the noise was from the tires and said no repairs needed to be made. I had taken it to another shop and they were ready to change some wheel bearings that did not need replacement. I have had several of my vehicles fixed with Miguel. Very professional staff. Highly recommended.

Explain why you put silicone in my drain plug? You don’t have to be a certified mechanic to know that using silicone on a drain plug is not right. My guess is that you guys stripped the bolt and being shady mechanics used silicone to stop it from leaking temporary. Because after I changed my oil and put it back on without the silicone it started leaking. I took it to another shop where they had to re tap the thread on my oil pan. Either way I’ll never go back to this shady shop again and just want to alert other people to beware.

This is a very good spot for auto repair. I showed up on a Saturday moments before they opened at 8am and they had my new catalytic converter and exhaust up to par before 10am. No check engine light 😁💪🏽💯🔥🔥🤣

(PART 1 of 3)I tried very hard not to give a bad review because I know how reviews affect businesses. If I could give them zero stars I would. I came to Elite Auto on 10/16/2020 because my car was over heating. I originally went to Muffles For Less on Calumet @ 8am. The owner Miguel told me he was very busy and wouldnt be able to get to my car today. He told me I could go to his other shop on Hohman which is Elite Auto, they could get me in today. I got to Elite at about 9:30am. I was told they would be able to look at my car and they would call me with details. I called 3 times that day to check on the status of my car. I was told they havent got to my car yet. About 10 minutes after my 3rd time calling, 30 minutes before they were to close I received a callback. I was told I needed a water pump and thermostat. (A few days before I went to them I was told I need a water pump, thermostat and radiator) I told him I wanted the radiator changed as well because the prior shop showed me the leak in the radiator. He said they would change the radiator as well. He also said I should be ready by noon the next day seeing as tho they were about to close very soon. I agreed against my better judgment because while waiting to see what the problem was I was reading the reviews they had at the time. I seen somebody say never leave your car overnight because she believed they had something to do with her sound system being stolen out of her car that was left overnight. I didnt have a sound system so that didnt bother me much, but the integrity of the shop did come to my mind. I felt like it was too late to change my mind. So fast forward to the day my car was FIXED . I didnt received a call to pick up my car, but it was a Saturday and the shop closed at 2. I got to the shop about 1:30pm. I see one of the mechanics still under the hood of my car and I notice that I have green coolant in my reservoir. I ask the man at the desk why is there green coolant in my car, my car uses gold coolant. He tells me that I had orange coolant in there and points to ground where my car had been when i first got there because at this time the mechanic had drove off to test drive my car. I tell him no I didnt, I had gold coolant. I had the same work did 2 times prior to them doing it. Every time it was done I received the same gold coolant. (I had a car accident like 8 years ago and I just recently had the same work done but I ordered the parts off line so I assumed the parts were defective) It was ALWAYS replaced with gold coolant so its no way possible I had orange coolant in my car. (But wait lets say I did have orange coolant in my car why would you put GREEN.) So that was lie number 1. I go outside to tell my friend who took me to get my car what happened because Im upset. The mechanic is driving up in my car he gets out and goes back under my hood this time outside of the shop vs being in the garage. He tell me I should be done in just a moment hes just checking to make sure my fans are kicking in. I ask him why is there green coolant in my car he says because that is the color he seen in my radiator he only put back the color he takes out. ( Mind you I asked for my parts back because I was sending them back to the online place for a refund, gold coolant is running out of the old radiator not green) That was lie number 2. Now I am really upset because I know for sure both of them were lying they both could at least give the same story. SMH. I go back inside to pay. I know they about to close and I will deal with this Monday because I have to get my husband to work.

Please dont not leave car at this shop overnight I needed engine repair done on my vehicle I was initially supposed to get my repairs done at muffler 4 less on Calumet but they were too busy so Miguel the shop owner directed me to his other shop Elite Auto on Holman Ave so I did..they had my car for about 2weeks longer than time frame given but whatever its cool so everything was fine literally right up until the day I was supposed to get my car back at 10am I received a call from Miguel saying my car along with 3 other were broken into & my sound system was taken my 400 dollar subs, 200 dollar head unit & 2 amplifiers which in all was a 900 dollar loss, I was crushed but Ive been goin to Miguel for repairs for years so I gave him the benefit of doubt he took 500 off my final price of repairs fixed my window & offered to re-tint it for free since it was broken but I strongly feel like the shop guys at Elite Auto had something to do with it probably told 1 of theyre friends to break in my car & take my very nice & expensive system maybe I shouldve taken my subs out but I trusted Miguel with my car & paid the price never doing business with them again save yourself the trouble & DONT NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR AT EITHER SHOP OVERNIGHT !!!!

(PART 3 of 3)Friday 10/23/2020 I wake up, the coolant is gone again. I bring it back and the original person is there. I talk to him about the coolant and I also mention the heat not working when the car is idling. He have the same mechanic who fixed it the first time to look at it. He hands me my keys and tell me it was a lose hose and it should be fine, He also tell me I dont know what youre taking about the car have been idling and the heat is hot(what would be my purpose of saying its not working if it is smh) I say ok thanks. I drive around for a few more days and look under hood the coolant is gone again. I bring it back Tuesday 10/27/2020 and he says it was a clamp and he topped it off again. I say thanks and leave. I drive a few more days, look under hood coolant gone again. I bring the car back 11/3/2020 same mechanic says it was the clamp again and he changed it, by this time the heat is staying hot so I no longer have that concern. But when he first looked at the coolant he tries to tell me that the same amount of coolant he put in there originally. I told him thats not true. Another lie. I always look under the hood before driving my car now because I dont want to be stuck anywhere. I know it wasnt the same amount. He topped it off again, I took a picture and left. Here it is today 11/8/2020 and the coolant have left my car again. I will be bringing it back tomorrow 11/9/2020. But frankly Im tired of going back and forth. This is the last time Im coming back for the same issue. I will be making a complaint with the Attorney General Office. I will be making a complaint with BBB. I believe they have no idea what they are doing. If my car wasnt fixable or they didnt know how to fix it. I should have been told that, instead of taking my $700 just for a sell. I have the picture so i can show him how much coolant was in the car vs how much is in there now. SMH I would never recommend this place to anyone. IF your car is broke and you dont know anything about cars RUN!!! Do not I repeat DO NOT get your car fixed here.

(PART 2 of 3)The next morning I wake up and most my coolant is out of my reservoir. Monday 10/19 I return to the shop to let them know my reservoir do not have the same amount of coolant it had when i left the shop Saturday. Miguel was there. I spoke to him regarding the my coolant being a different color. He tells me all in the same sentence that after the warranty is off the car I should use green because the gold was only to keep my warranty valid. The green coolant is better. He also stated his shops use green coolant to warrant their parts and it wouldnt do anything to my car. The green is better for my car. He also said he could change the coolant back to gold if I wanted. Now over the weekend I have looked up what kind of coolant my car uses, what happens when you change coolant in your car, can you change coolant of a car, should you change coolant in your car. I came across a lot of information saying it wouldnt be good to do. I learned I should use the coolant the cars manual says use. IF you do change it forms a jelly in substance in your car that can clog your hoses and thing like that. I tell him these things. He says no thats not how it works. He tries to explain how if you notice all the new cars break down earlier than the older cars. It use to be only 1 coolant they just came out with all these new coolant colors and green is the best. I ask him do you think its bad for my car? What did he think? He is the mechanic I have no idea about cars should I change it or no. He assure me it wouldnt do any damage to my car and its best that I leave it. I say ok leave it. My thought process was the whole cooling system was replaced all new parts, it shouldnt be a big issue. Miguel told me the the reason my reservoir had less coolant because I had air in the system. He said he topped it off and it should be fine. I tell him thanks and I leave. I get 2 blocks down and had to sit behind a school bus, my heat starts to get cold as Im idling. I go right back and Miguel tell me to drive around for a few days to let it circulate, that happens when it has air in there. It takes a while to push the air out and if its not working by Wednesday to bring it back.( I havent drove the car much because I didnt like the fact I had green coolant instead of the gold coolant I have always had gold coolant in my car ) I say okay because I knew i havent drove my car much. I do know Ive had this work done before and I never had to drive a round for a while before but ok. Wednesday comes, I still havent drove much. I decided to wait a few extra days because the heat was still only working when Im driving.
