Why is nobody talking about these cinnamon rolls? I didnt even know that a cinnamon roll could be like this. I dont even like cinnamon! The roll itself is good, the cream cheese frosting on top, great, but the bottom of these rolls are like chewy cinnamon caramel. Its something I never even knew I wanted from a cinnamon roll; now I cant stop thinking about it. These people dont mess around when it comes to cinnamon rolls. The coffee is adequate as a method of washing down the cinnamon roll. It stands up to the cinnamon roll, which is impressive considering the quality of these cinnamon rolls.

Stopped by for breakfast and the food was amazing. Who knew rice and beans make a perfect pair with eggs? I cleaned the plate. Yum!

My wife has been talking about this place for years. I only have gone here recently. I absolutely love their brews; lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos. They have a delicious breakfast and lunch selection. If you looking for a down to earth comfy little coffee shop to read, work, hangout, or distress. Pura Vida Coffee is perfect. My friend and I absolutely love this place!!! The people are so friendly and have a great attitude. Not to mention the food and drinks are always delicious. This is by far my favorite coffee shop I’ve been too. I would recommend this place to anyone because they would never be disappointed!

My favorite coffee house. I look forward to my weekly Thursday morning visits. The staff are welcoming, the iced coffee is perfection and the food is good. If you are lucky enough to stop by in August/September be sure to try the peach coffee cake, it is out of this world!

This coffee shop makes absolutely the best coffee not only in town but probably in like 30 miles radius! That is the reason we dont mind driving a bit to go there every weekend!! All the people working there are absolutely amazing as well. I wish they had a bigger porch and/or more tables on porch as we really like to sit there - but it could also be due to covid and social distancing. Anyway, just go there once and you will see what youve been missing.

The atmosphere at Pura Vida is so calming.Usually when I visit I get my order to go, but recently I decide to bring my daughter in for a lunch date. The staff were very friendly and calm. Which made eating with a 5 year-old less stressful and more pleasant.While the taco salad was not the salad I was expecting (I am from Arizona) it was delicious and I would order it again. Also the warm rice pudding had my taste buds dancing in my mouth.

LOVE this place! Stumbled upon it when we were traveling and looking for something unique for breakfast. I’ve been to Costa Rica a few times and the Gallo pinto and chorreadas were fresh and delicious!!! The cortado (coffee) was excellent!!! Also had fresh peach cobbler which was homemade and outstanding…wish they were closer to where we live!!!

Stopped here in a road trip. This place was a fantastic find for breakfast. That cardamom latte, damn. Just damn. The gallo pinto was a surprise and perfect for breakfast. A side note... The placement of a plant beneath the paper towel dispenser in the bathroom is brilliant! 😂

Great coffee place, yummy pastry options and full meals too. My wife and I make the trip all the way up from Gaithersburg. Try the Resaca! Also they know what a macchiato is -- if youre a real coffee fan you get my drift. Recommended.

We stopped here 5 or 10 minutes before closing and even though they were starting to clean up for the day, they were so nice and personable! So often if you go into a place around closing time, they act as if you are intruding. Not here! I felt they were glad we were there and even made small talk with us while my tea was brewing:) I will definitely be coming back! Oh, and the iced tea was wonderful!

Beautifully crafted coffees in a welcoming shop. The baristas are knowledgeable and share that knowledge with the customer. They have pour-overs, espresso, teas, sandwiches, and sweet treats. 10/10 will go again.

Been here maybe 3 times? Awesome local coffee shop. Be sure to ask them about the wood in the shop and all their adventures. I recommend the gallo pinto and any of their coffees. They also have sandwich options and baked goods, smoothies etc. Ive only been for breakfast but theyre open early and its all made fresh and I like their mission. Check the hours before you go, its not an all day place.

Great coffee, delicious food, stable wifi, plenty of parking, and the perfect ambiance for writing or conversing.This is the first coffee place I consider when I need to write since all others in the area pale in comparison. Its calm and quiet but not dead, the staff is friendly, there are plenty of items on the menu to satiate you for a few hours (drinks, breakfast, lunch, snacks, baked goods), and the average patron is courteous and respectful. I think they offer coffee tastings, though I have never had one myself because all of their coffee drinks are superb. (All their non-coffee drinks are also great, especially their lemonades). There are several card games that I always watch people enjoy (Uno is played by someone almost every time I visit) and the tables are always clean enough to bring your own cribbage board, Magic decks, or any other card came.If available, I recommend their honey and clover latte with an orange scone for breakfast, a lavender lemonade and chipotle turkey sandwich for lunch, and plantain fries as a snack. Cant go wrong.

Great spot. I went each day of my stay this time because the hotel was near. I just think having online ordering makes a world of difference. When I’m back I’ll pass two shops and go out my way for the convenience. Plus the staff was very nice. These guys are spot on. I even got a breakfast bowl I was hesitant to get but it ended up being delish.

The people were friendly, but it wasn’t genuinely Costa Rican. We expected to walk in and see the shop being run by at least 1 tico. The food wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t even Costa Rican style. If you’re from CR just make your food at home. For other people I understand why it’s good since it’s just something different.

Probably the friendliest business Ive experienced. Twice I have gone in right before closing, (which is the time in some small businesses that I have been made to feel very unwelcome) and they treated us like we were their favorite customers. Their service and attitude is even better than their iced coffee.

I was visiting from out of state and was glad to find a place with good coffee. The tasty corn pancakes with fruit were fabulous to start a road trip off with! I went back for more on my next trip and tried the beans and rice breakfast, and my better half had the biscuit, Yum!

I had a very good experience here during this pandemic. The staff was all wearing masks the entire time, the cashier took the time to wear a glove to handle cash, and I saw them sanitize the tables whenever a customer left. I felt very safe and my chai latte and shamrock cookie were delicious!

Pura Vida is a wonderful coffeehouse that everyone should try at least once! The food is wonderful and prepared quickly, the drinks are varied and delicious, but most importantly the staff is welcoming, kind, and caring. As a fairly regular customer the staff never make me feel like Im just another customer. We have on going conversations about our lives, families, and just about anything else under the sun. I cannot recommend Pura Vida highly enough. Skip starbucks and give this place a try, I guarantee you wont regret it!

Phenomenal!! The food (I had the chipotle turkey sandwich) was delicious and so moist and soft without being soggy. The coffee was some of the best Ive had in a long time, I highly recommend the honey clover latte! also the service was stellar, everyone was so friendly and kept checking on us to make sure everything was good. I cant recommend them enough, especially being a couple minutes off of Route 81!

My Top pick for best coffee in the Hagerstown area. They actually know how to make a proper macchiato along with any other standard espresso drink. Their cinnamon rolls (good lord) are most likely made in heaven but I can’t confirm. They also do fresh in house food and sandwiches. Make sure you support this local family owned business!

Pura Vida has the best breakfast sandwiches and their coffee is great, too! They always have an array of delicious baked goods, as well! Dog friendly patio and such friendly staff!

Watch for the sign on Rt 81, or the Hagerstown Airport exit.... It is definitely worth the the minor detour. It is a wonderful coffee shop that shows how a family run business can blow away the big corporate and fast stops along the way. I may only pass by once a year but will make it a point to stop there every time.

This is my favorite coffee place. I have been to a good bit of coffee cafes and their sugar cookie latte is my all time favorite from every place Ive been! I have had favorites before coming to this place, but once I tried their sugar cookie latte, that became my absolute all time favorite. I order that with almond milk and it is the best coffee I have ever had! It has a very smooth taste to it. I dont even need to add anything to it. Usually I add sugar or more creamer, but I dont with this :) Locally owned and the people there are so nice! The food there is great also! I love their vegetarian taco salad. Really good and filling! If you love coffee like I do, I highly recommend checking this place out! Great atmosphere and superb coffee!

Found this great breakfast/coffee shop while traveling from West VA to Maine. Deliciously prepared breakfast of eggs over easy, bacon, and toast. Perfectly sized portions with a yummy iced orange scone for dessert (I know, you’re not supposed to have dessert after breakfast!)

Had a flight out of Hagerstown and hadn’t had time to eat that day. I dread eating fast food and had decided to just wait until getting to my destination to eat. When I walked into the airport I noticed the Pura Vida kiosk I walked over to ask if there were any sandwiches and to my surprise I was told there was a Turkey Cranberry on Multi-Grain bread. While waiting on the sandwich I look up and spy an Orange Scone which c’mon who’s going to turn down an Orange Scone? I purchased both the sandwich and scone and headed through security. Both sandwich and scone were excellent!!! Fresh and prepared to perfection. Thank you Pura Vida for the wonderful food. Full disclosure... I bought the same Sandwich and Scone on my return trip today and both were as perfect as the first time.

Atmosphere is good food average. By average I simply meant I had an egg and cheese bisque. Bacon was put on it which I didnt ask for, coffee was good.

Ive always loved the coffee here. The food is good too albeit limited and slighty pricey. However, the quality makes up for the cost. My wife and I drive from the WV panhandle just to get their coffee. I highly recommend people to check it out!

I have never had better food in my life! The egg and biscuit sandwich and it was phenomenal! Oh and the Galla Pinta is the bomb dignity!! It’s a great way to start the day and gives you great feelings! The service is wonderful and I’m so grateful for this place I stumbled upon while on my way to work!
