The level of overt disinterest in even the most basic elements of customer service, combined with an aloofness and utter disdain of customer service has been raised to an art form by an one specific employee who has consistently over many years perfected such a singularly glaring lack of respect for whoever enters the store, with no effort made to mask his feelings, that--in a perverse way--I feel should be awarded 5 stars. I can only however give one star as the experience of having receipts thrust to me, with no reciprocation of any kind, and not a finger lifted to at least play act being professional, makes this 7-11 feel like youre entering the saddest place in the world.
Typical convenience store with all the usual coffee varieties, cold drinks, snacks, candy, pastries, hot dogs and a few basic grocery items. Even a Amazon pick-up locker. An ATM too, of course. Lottery tickets are a big draw. In general, the help is a bit ornery and abrupt. Convenient corner location on Passaic street and Esplanade.
Terrible people that work here. I came in to pick up a bottle of juice and went straight to the counter. The store was completely empty except for someone bringing items for the store. As I stand there at the register the person working just stared at me walking around the whole store singing. He made it clear that he did not want to ring me up and I believe that it is because I am black. I am disgusted. If I could give them zero stars I would.
I wish if i could give them zero star . they have signs for deal to buy and then charge me extra .when i ask them why the sign you posting showing different price .they say no this deal finsh
The older Caucasian man was very rude.The entire store is unfriendly, and I will not be back. Its 8:35 food on the grill guy says food wont be ready till 8:30 but its 8:30 now.Stay away!!!!
Terrible service. Employees more concerned about their native tv shows on their phones than interacting with customers and just to ask them for a product is challenging because if their attention isn’t on their shows it’s in their side conversations and the customer comes last. Food is constantly old and burned on display and every time I tell them about it they laugh and say no it’s fresh. They treat their job as a joke and it’s no fault to them if they haven’t been trained correctly. They need to spend a day at the Bergenfield 7-Eleven so they can all get retrained and they need to have higher standards about their “fresh food”. I also consistently find expired products around the store. It’s mind boggling how they can have such low standards for operations.This store is ruining the 7-eleven brand. Don’t believe me? Send some secret shoppers and you’ll be amazed at what they tell you.Needs new management.
Long time customer. I go there 4-5 times a week. I asked to use the bathroom and was told they didnt have one. When pressed I was told it was out of order, then told it was outside. This is how a long time loyal customer is treated. What a joke. Never going back. Will be going to quick check from now on.
Seems to be a very friendly and quick stop. I went on 7/11 day and I got a free slurpee. The guy giving the cups was so sweet, and the other employees offered deals and a positive attitude.
The workers here are incredibly rude and disrespectful to the customers. I will never return and live around the corner. It has now happened three times. I would rather driver farther to another location or a Quik Check.
I think this 7-11 deserves to be in the negatives. I worked in customer service field for a long time and this place has none. I come in to get my coffees before work, I told the guy if he has straws because the ones that are displayed are stinky due to someone spilling their slushy drink on them. He stated they do not have any. So I got into a little disagreement to only find out, the older guy was too lazy to get some because after the argument he opened the bottom of the machine and guess what? A TON OF THEM WERE THERE. Okay what ever I brushed it off. Second time, they didn’t have hazelnut in the creamer in the little frig next to the coffee, I informed the lady there, she like oh what ever we have there is what we have. Before i said it, a customer told her “ no when you run out you take it from the refrigator so don’t lie” it’s sad a customer has to tell her how to do her job. Third time is a charm right? Well I LITERALLY just left the store, the young man behind register is on his phone the whole time while I’m purchasing my coffee and he just talking on it while it rest on his shoulder. How unprofessional. I get it it’s 7-11 you shouldn’t expect much but I shouldn’t expect less either.I only go there because it’s down the block from my job so it’s convient when I go from one job to another. THIS PLACE NEEDS A NEW MANAGER OR CLOSE DOWN.
Every time I go in there, they’re always watching something on their phones and it’s loud. I think it’s extremely disrespectful and not a way an employee should be working. Turn your phones OFF and take care of your customers. This is the only 7 eleven I have this issue with 😡

This store deserve 100 * below because the worst customer service they dont know how to deal with the people also so the store super dirty and I think if 7-Eleven should remove their name from there to make it as convenient store this is is not the store fault this is 7-Eleven fault because they give their trademark for those kind of people who cant deal with it.
