I popped in before closing on a weekday so the overall selection was limited. I opted for a variety pack. These cake donuts are served warm and dipped in icing to create a signature flavor or your own! How fun is that?!! Unfortunately that’s were the excitement ended. The icing is very thick and overly sweet. Lacking in true flavors everything seems to be artificial. The cinnamon and sugar was nice, BUT please have a bottle of water near,as they’re dry! The service was definitely A 1, she was sweet and kind even though I came in before closing. I appreciate her confidence in her product and she seemed to have a genuine love for her place of business.

Stopped in around 9:30 in the morning for the first time. Hardly any donuts to choose from. No prices any where. I got two coffees two donuts that cost out me almost $13.00. Donuts didnt taste fresh that good too sweet. Will not be back too high priced for what ya get.

I went in for the first time today. I had my daughter with me who has lung diseases, so I was relieved when I opened the door and saw we were the only costumers there. But as I got further in I realized the two employees there were not wearing masks, which made me really uncomfortable. The donuts weren’t that good either. I’d go to jolly pirates instead.

Dragon Donuts was a very pleasant surprise! We didnt know what to expect, but found helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous employees, oh, and the donuts were warm and fantastic!

I’ve been to Dragon Donuts several times. Today I visited and the donuts are significantly smaller than they were in the past. They were placed in two small boxes barely taking up half of the box. The sprinkles were not regular sprinkles, they were nonpareils. These are not the same to an avid toppings fan. Also, the quality of the donut itself has significantly went down. These are “cake” donuts but the quality is about the same as a powdered sugar little debbie donut in the bag. Really disappointed, Dragon Donuts is better than this! Go back to that! Only reason for the two stars is because the glazes are still decent.I understand what is said by someone can be perceived differently than the intention. Unfortunately I just do not see the value for the size of the donut. It barely fits in the palm of my hand and the taste is just not there.

The store caught our eye when we were next door getting a sandwich, so we decided to give it a try. They top your fresh donuts to order- just like our favorite donut spot in OBX. So many options that I had a hard time choosing! I had a strawberry shortcake donut and my hubby had chocoholic. Very good donuts! The strawberry icing was thick and very flavorful- I will get this one again. I loved the strusel on top. The chocolate was very good but a bit messy. Its probably easier to eat these donuts with a fork. We will stop again when we are in the area!

Great doughnuts! Bit pricey but worth it

Visited for the first time today and was pleased with the experience. The made fresh in front of you concept is pretty cool. Got the assorted dozen and they were good. When we got home we had to cut up the donuts so everyone could sample the different flavors. They were still warm. $16 for the dozen a little on the high side for a dozen, but happy with the purchase.

This place is a hidden gem in our little end of south columbus! Go!!! The owner couldnt be nicer and they have incredible donuts and yummy coffee!! They change the coffee flavors often and the prices are completely reasonable. We are a donut family and celebrate most memories and milestones with our favorite donuts! These are a total WIN!!

I had the worst experience today. I ordered 2 dozen cake donuts. First of all, they were very small for $19 a dozen. Then, the employee just throw the frosting on them. They looked terrible. When he put them in the box, there was frosting and sprinkles all over the box. I was embarrassed to give them to anyone. I asked to have them put in a different box and he became short with me. These were for clients of mine for St Patricks Day and I was embarrassed. Never will buy donuts from this place again.

I have bought donuts from here several times. Always had my co-workers give compliments on them. I left my debit card here yesterday morning while picking up an order I placed the day before. Tried Dragon Donuts for the first time today. The donuts were fresh, hot, and delicious even at a not-so-donut friendly time of 10 am. They have a number of creative flavors that all looked amazing - I went with the bacon flavor and Reese’s cup. The employee was friendly and had our order to us very quickly even though they were made right then and there.So why only 4 stars? Well, for starters, I can’t give half stars. They probably deserve 4 1/2. That being said, the price was a bit expensive for the size of the donut - $1.50 for a relatively small cake donut with the flavoring on top. Also, there aren’t any “traditional” Donuts like glazed, filled, etc. Finally, and this can’t be helped, the actual shop is in a strip mall and has very little personality. This isn’t your fathers (or mothers) old fashioned donut shop.Regardless, I highly recommend trying it out and sampling the many different flavors. If you want to support a family owned business and not the chain donut shops that donuts have been sitting out since 4 am, this is the only option in this part of Grove City. Enjoy!

First time we’ve had Dragon Donuts. I had the vanilla iced long John. It was over $3 and not good. My BF had blueberry dipped and it was terrible.

Like Duck Donuts. The donuts are good fresh but not the kind to take home to eat later. I took my kids and one gave it a so so while the other gave it a thumb down. I think my kids like yeast donuts over cake. I also thought they were smaller than Duck. They are nice for once in awhile but not something I will drive out of the way for.

The actual shop is very modern/contemporary and clean. The staff is very welcoming (one person working as it was not busy around 2pm on a Wednesday).Now for the donuts, I’m not a whole lot impressed. I expected more from a “small business” where the owner made it seem like their dream to own a donut shop (or whatever the story on the website). It’s like a similar place- Duck Donuts, where I went inside but didn’t bother trying when I saw that it was just one cake donut with a bunch of toppings. Yes, it’s fresh to order, and yes there are a bunch of topping combos. However, like I said, the donut is just one basic sugary cake donut. I even prefer Amy’s Donuts because it’s also one donut and a bunch of toppings, but they’re all made so you don’t have to wait for them to bake (although you may have to wait to order if there’s a line).I searched up the machine they use and it’s an about $10k commercial machine that they use to make these donuts, and you can find smaller machines as little as $1k.I love supporting small business but I was just not impressed when I came to this donut shop.

This review is for the Grandview location. These are the best donuts Ive ever had. I ordered the Buckeye, Salted Caramel, and Strawberry Squeeze varieties. It was hard not to eat the entire box right on the street, and Im only slightly embarrassed to admit to having one of each when I arrived home.I was also surprised at the prices. They could probably get away with charging a bit more, but it wouldnt stop me from going back. Absolutely delicious, and Diet Coke freaks like myself are taken care of. Go get some!

These donuts are delicious!! Hot and made fresh as soon as you order. They arent as heavy as other donuts. Menu options are great. Smaller size donuts than your average. But even though they are small they are soooo good.

Service was good & store was clean is why 2 star. Because the donuts in my opinion are not good. If you like thick cake donuts then you will like these. But if you like traditional donuts like myself then I don’t think you will like these.

This is a wonderful new shop. Each donut is made to order, served warm from the cooker, and generously hand dipped and decorated. A very indulgent treat at a very reasonable price. The staff is also super friendly. It can be a little hard to spot in the strip shopping center, but dont miss this treat!

First time. I wasnt aware of how they make their process for making their donuts, but after going once, I will be going back. They have a basic donut that they then dip / cover in toppings to create their different options. There were three of us so we got six different kinds. While I certainly enjoyed some more than others, they were all good and were true to their descriptions. It isnt worth knocking them down a star, but we went later in the day and they didnt have any coffee. They said that they only make so much in a day to avoid wasting it. I understand that, but unless they are serving some high end coffee (which they may) coffee is not that expensive to keep on hand.

Best donut shop in Ohio and the surrounding area. Fresh, delicious donuts made to order. Multiple varieties and flavors that are sure to please. The coffee served is phenomenal. Welcoming, clean interior coupled with super friendly and helpful staff. Definitely swing by and give Dragon Donuts a try, well worth the trip.

I wasnt very impressed with this place. Donuts are small and none are filled they just drizzle toppings all over them and poor value when you factor in the cost. You are better off going up north on Broadway in Grove City to jolly pirates donuts they are way better in my opinion. Update: Dear owner I was there on Sunday and there was one option and your person behind the counter said it was separate from the dozen or half dozen option same with the long johns. Not at jolly pirate you get them all as a option! And you get a bakers dozen there!

A fun new fancy donut place in town. I took my son and we had a variety of donuts to take back home, everyone enjoyed them. A good thing to know is that the specialty donuts are included in the dozen pricing as well as the classic ones. Ill be stopping by when I am in the area.

Dragon Donuts contacted me to take photos of their donuts prior to their grand opening. It gave me the opportunity to try all 25+ flavors and designs. After waddling my way out of the shop I can confirm that they are insanely delicious.All donuts are made fresh to order and you get to enjoy them warm. My personal favorite were the classic vanilla frosting with sprinkles, the Buckeye one, and the salted caramel. All among the best donuts I have ever eaten.This place will eventually make me obese. Worth it.

My nephew and I stopped in for a couple donuts. We ordered 3 specialty donuts and he loved that we could watch them being made right in front of us! The lady working was very friendly and patient with us.

It was a great experience. The donuts were freshly made a right in front of me and delicious. The only complaint I have is the use of styrofoam containers. I hope they consider changing to more sustainable containers in the future.

Holy moly. If youre in the Columbus area and havent had Dragon Donuts, youre missing out. It is well worth the drive to Grove City. The made-to-order cake donuts are so fluffy and fresh that it made me rethink my preference for yeast donuts. They have yeast donuts on the weekends, which arent made to order; I havent tried those, but seriously, just get the fresh cake donuts. This really must be the best donut in Columbus.

Every donut is made fresh and when I took my first bite I was hooked.For those that complain it takes to long, they dont see the value in fresh hot donuts. If want a good decent run of the mill donut, get Krispy creme. If you want a great donut, its worth the wait here.

If you are into cake style donuts then this is the place for you. I stopped in on Saturday afternoon. There were no other customers so we received our donuts fairly fast. We were referred here by one of my family members who truly loves the donuts and coffee. $16.00 for a dozen donuts seemed a bit high, especially since they were no bigger then your average donut and frankly was not to impressed with the flavor selections. Again, if you love cake donuts this is the place. I guess I was expecting something similar to Amys donuts on Georgesville rd but this was not the case. To each his own though. The donuts were very hot and fresh but they do cool off later in the day and all you have is regular cake donuts you paid way too much for.

Delicious! I heard mixed reviews so I was hesitant at first but they were amazing. Extremely fresh and a huge variety. I really like the cinnamon swirl type, but the cinnamon sugar and the oreo were also great. Large variety to pick from and you can go from simple to over the top. They are a cake donut so they are filling and more dense compared to tim hortons for example. They also have delivery services and were still delivered warm. Kinda expensive but definitely a great treat.

Finally stopped by this morning. They made excellent use if the space, plenty of room. The doughnuts are served warm and fresh and you can choose from many different types or design your own. They only serve cake doughnuts, but they are light with a crisp outside and tender inside. Toppings are varied and the glazes are not over sugary ( more flavor than Ive had at other places).

The donuts were very good and super fresh. My kids had fun watching their creations come to life.

Wish they opened a little earlier, unfortunately, we start our work day before they open.

Donuts were good but their staff needs work. We were told 30 minutes but had to wait over an hour and they got our order WRONG. Didnt notice until we got home and it wasnt worth going back.Overall, theyre good but expensive and not worth waiting an hour for.
