Im only basing my review on the customer service alone. We havent received our mattress yet as we just ordered it last night.Mike was so very helpful to us. We told him our issues with our current mattress and he offered his suggestions. We tried a few out and picked out our favorite. He did not pressure us into anything and didnt feed us any typical salesman gimmicks. We pick our mattress up next week and were super excited! If you ever go in, ask for Mike. Hes very knowledgeable.

Great furniture if youre rich and have no taste. 4k for a couch that is too uncomfortable to sit in isnt really for your average every day person. If youve got more money than you know what to do with and want a couch like looks nice but isnt functional, come on down!!

We just received our furniture delivery. Both men were extremely courteous, contentious & quick. Our time frame was 2-5 pm and they contacted me at noon and asked if they could deliver early-30 min ETA. Heck yes!! Who doesn’t want their furniture early.It was unpacked, plugged in and set into place in about 30 min. They waited patiently while I tried the remotes on all three pieces. Everything was splendid.

We ordered 2 items from VCF that arrives at 2 separate times...we were aware that would be the case and today was the delivery of the 2nd item. The only complaint I have is you cant pick your time frame window on delivery day. The delivery guys were very nice and I love that our living room set is complete!

The friendliness of the staff in the store was highly noticeable throughout the duration of the visit. The employee was knowledgeable of the furniture and spoke highly of it as a former customer. Upon delivery, the gentlemen we’re respectful and prompt with their time. They ensured that I was pleased with my purchase and responded professionally with the task.

My recliner was delivered today. The 2 fellows that delivered did a good job other than they didn’t have covers for their shoes and no face mask. The chair was delivered with the fabric being torn on the side. So hopefully I don’t have to go through a lot to get it replaced.

Do not make a purchase from this store. My daughter bought a couch and it is under manufacture warranty and has been waiting since January for repairs. She keeps being told by the store manager, Steve, and corporate that the parts are on back order, and they have no estimated time when they will be in, and she has to continue to wait, even if it cant be fixed until next year. They state the couch is still usable, just uncomfortable. (Cant sit on one side of it as the foam is broke down and you sink to the frame). They no longer make this couch so they wont replace it. They will only replace with something else if the couch is deemed to not be able to be repaired but there is no time frame for that while waiting for parts, even if it is next year.

Purchased a Lancaster 82” Wood Top Table with urn Base from VCF and could not be more pleased. We shopped for a table at all the top furniture stores within Indianapolis before deciding on this one. It’s a high quality table. Don’t be fooled by the higher priced stores. VCF has good quality furniture. Their service is exceptional too. From the purchase to the delivery, everything was perfect.

Although my order was VERY delayed, it is understandable given the low stocks and backorder everywhere. My items purchased were delivered as expected and had they arrived in perfect condition, it would have been 5/5 stars. However, VCF has already reached out and is working to remedy the issue including a brand new replacement for the damaged product.Edit: Updated to 5 stars for quick replacement of damaged product with brand new replacement.

I got the time frame of delivery, which was almost to the minute when they arrived. All 3 men were very courteous and polite and moved quickly to get the bed in place. I didnt get the other 2 names, but Ryan was wonderful. I love his sense of humor. I would recommend Value City Furniture for the value and quality and promptness of delivery. 5 stars for me!! Sales man at store was awesome very nice, courteous, and helpful. Delivery was earlier than expected . Delivery guys unwrapped couch in drive way were it had rain 2 days prior so bottom of couch has mud on it. I then asked them to not unwrap in driveway. I unwrapped other 2 pieces later .

My initial experience was great. The associate was very helpful and seemed knowledgeable. I was able to buy my bed and mattress that day. After that things went south. The guys who delivered were on time and nice...but missassembled the bed. I was told it would be able to work without a bowstring. Maybe if I was 10 that would work. When I asked the store about it they had no answers. I cant even order the board till after the truck returns. Customer service also gave me wrong info. Nice furniture...bad info makes it frustrating.

Delivery the first time was a disaster for a full size bed - wrong bed pieces, damaged pieces, wrong color, damage to our property from the delivery truck, everything returned. Second round a week later, bed arrives with no hardware. Going on over a month now. Horrible service thru delivery company, manager at VCF and supervisor at UST, no communication since first call and no ownership. Will not be ordering thru VCF in future.

The Greenwood Indiana Value City Furniture just refused my family who is a pharmacist to be recognized as a healthcare professional for the publicized discount to healthcare professionals. Pharmacists were among the first people to administer the vaccine and have been called upon just as much to meet the public health need. Value City gets letter grade F for customer service.

My wife bought a lift chair for her retirement 2018 got a extended warranty. The motor went out and they repair man said it will be several or more months before a new motor would arrive. Called Value city and they would hang up on you after tell them want going on or the manger not around. Then got a hold of them and said they would get a new chair but it would take several months or longer again. Talked to a person in Fisher explained that my wife has been sitting in a wheelchair after 4 different people .She said manger would call. I said I was not done talking and she hung up on me. No manger call and my wife paid for a extend warranty on the new chair she does not have. PEOPLE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. GETS THE RUN AROUND AND NOBODY KNOW NOTHING. Their furniture and sales reps are great, we have bought many items from them for our home. The only issue is with their customer service and delivery. There have been many altercations with Value City and our orders not showing up in their system or even being shown as delivered when nothing was delivered. We ordered an area rug about 6 months ago and delivery dates kept changing on the area rug. Went in and talked to customer service and they told us they cant do anything about it since it shows it was supposed to arrive 2 months ago. They then agreed to look into the issue since the area rug was a direct shipment from Fedex and not Value City itself. Finally got the rug but we went in to exchange it before the 7 day return/exchange period and was told by the manager that Value City cant exchange the rug since the purchase date is showing up from 6 months ago. The manager kept saying there is no evidence of delivery in their system, and there is no way to find the tracking information of when the rug was delivered since the delivery was through Fedex. We did get to exchange the rug after trying to get the manager to believe that we have only had it for less than 7 days, but trying to exchange/return something should not be this complicated if your own system is not set to work properly. Very infuriating experience.

We were in the market for a new sofa and recliner, and had purchased a set from another company. They made promises that they obviously was not able to keep and after several rescheduling delivery I requested a credit to the account and cancelled the order.We stopped in Value City feeling a bit dismayed at the entire process from the other store.The sales lady greeted us and allowed us to look around and we found exactly what we wanted and it was nicer that the other store. We talked to the sales lady and made our purchase. And guess what.....they delivered our furniture exactly when promised and we are so pleased with Value City.Goodbye Bobs. Hello Value City. We will return for more purchases.

A month ago I ordered a loveseat, couch, and 2 recliners. $1600. Sales woman told me $100 for delivery via Military discount. She told me when it got closer to pick up that I could set the delivery up. So here I am trying to set it up. The manager informed me that they DO NOT have Military discount and refused to honor the price. So I left, gathered myself. Couple days later called to set up the delivery over the phone. The delivery price went up an additional $60 from what the manager had told me. They said it changes weekly. So I said Id rent a uhaul to come get it on the date it gets shipped to the store. She said because we were ONLY LOOKING at delivery dates, now my furniture wont even show up at the facility until August so apparently you cant price shop without changing the ORIGINAL pickup date. Refund everything. Do not buy from this place.

The delivery guy stole 200$ from on top of the counter and there no way for me to prove it. Thanks a lot never get furniture from here unless you watch the delivery guys correctly. I had a showing that I needed to go to so I had one of my friends open the door for them and couldn’t be there. Learned my lesson to hide the money. Because you can trust no one. Always be there when they deliver furniture.

Some of the employees are very nice however I bought a mattress in a box from them and they kept on playing games with me. My mattress is very hard and uncomfortable. I reported it within my 120 days yet no one have helped me out. Poor customer services.If you need to buy anything from Value city go to the one out north.

I was holding off my review until we received all of our furniture. We ordered like 9 dinning room chairs, a sectional, and an entertainment center. We loved that the sales people left us alone to find what we wanted after the initial greeting. We couldnt get the chairs until March so we decided to wait until then to have all our furniture delivered. We called about a week and a half before the delivery to find out what time it would be. They told us they couldnt deliver the entertainment center and we said the point was to get it all at once and we could wait. We were able to get the other pieces a little early so that was nice.Thankfully, we were advised to take what was available or other things may come out of stock. May 8th was supposed to be the delivery date for the entertainment center. We just called to confirm the delivery time and were told June 4th was the new date for the delivery. We are extremely frustrated. We know lumber and everything has been an issue, but its so frustrating to call and hear this news. IF we actually get the piece on June 4th it will be around 5.5 months after the initial order.We like the furniture we received. The salesperson and deliverymen we had were nice. Im just frustrated with not receiving the product we paid for so long after the initial order AND the original delivery date.*Editing to add that I called today to confirm my delivery to next week. My item now has a delivery date of June 10th. Im upset that we arent called and updated on the new deliveries. I wasnt even offered an apology or offered to speak to anyone else about the delivery change. Just stated as a fact. The woman on the phone wasnt rude and I assume she doesnt know how much my delivery has been pushed back. I am upset of this situation and the lack of communication with this company. I changed my rating down to one star and it will be awhile before we consider being customers again.**Editing to add that we were supposed to get the piece on June 10th. We had to call the day before again to get an estimated delivery time. Thats when we were informed the piece wont be coming until July 2nd.***Editing to add that we were actually contacted by VCF this time to tell us our order isnt coming until later in July.

Okay this is only a three-star because of getting the furniture that we ordered and paid cash for. The furniture itself is pretty and really nice and I love it. The lady at the store in greenwood our sales lady was excellent and very knowledgeable. The reason why its a three-star is because of the time frame for our delivery for furniture. We just got our first shipment and everything that they said would be on that shipment was no longer coming and we did not find that out until they showed up with the furniture no one called us to let us know that the whole shipment was not coming this time and theyre saying that the rest of our furniture may not come for another month and some of its not coming until January 7th and we paid cash for everything two months ago and we just got our first shipment who knows how many more shipments were going to get now but the crew that came and set everything up was excellent fast speedy polite

I will never.... NEVER buy from here again. Waited months to get my furniture delivered for the mirror to be broken..... to then have to wait another month to replace it. THEN to have it missing the hardware to attach the mirror when that arrived. I was then told the manager would contact me and I should have someone out the following week to fix it. No one called me. When I finally had time to call them the guy was completely rude and dismissive on the phone. Said he would call some people and call me back and never did. I had to call again the next day and Im still waiting for the service department to call me back to set up an appointment thats good for me like they said they would. All I received was a text giving me 2 options for days they can come that doesnt work for my schedule.Once I get this resolved I will never return.

Ordered some furniture and was given a 3 weeks delivery date with NO set time. They called @ 10 am to say theyre gonna deliver it at 10:30! My friend who was receiving them for me was running 3 mins late. The delivery driver said he was not waiting beyond the alotted 15 mins AND LEFT. he actually drove pass her on his way out and to make matters worse they said they cant come back until 2 weeks later! This is a store with my order on their truck thats 15 mins away! I must wait 3 weeks for a delivery but they cant wait 3 extra mins?? I cancelled my order and will NEVER do business with them again.

I ordered a bedroom set in November at the Greenwood location. Due to covid I knew shipping will be delayed. Ive received several dates when it will be in. Called 4 times within the last 7 days and was told 3/31 is my scheduled delivery date and to call Castleton they will be delivering it. VCF Castleton also confirmed on 3/29 Im scheduled for 3/31 and gave me a timeframe. Later that evening I get a call saying the headboard wasnt available and the manager will call me in the morning because they need to verify whats on the truck. Today he calls to tell me, my order was not on the truck and doesnt know what happened to my order and the next availability is in June. This is unacceptable VCF🤬🤬. Ive waited patiently over 4 damn months. Ive requested for the manager at Greenwood to call me and I have yet received a call.

Sales team has some good people and the manager was very nice and helped with some discounts. Sadly the long shipping times have been a big down side of the entire process. I finally was supposed to receive the other two chairs and two benches today after ordering them in august. When the truck arrived today they only had one chair of mine and two other chairs that were not even things I ordered. I was not told when or where my benches and other chair were just that I would get a phone call sometime. Seems to me that someone in the management side of shipping and stock needs to figure out what their doing.

Update. Our amazing couch came. It is a great couch so far and appears to be built well. I will have to say that their process delivering to a consumer is a nightmare and I feel bad for the employees doing the work. You can tell they are confused and frustrated. Overall, I would give VC a three star because the couch is nice and the staff was nice. delivery and delivery on time was confusing. I even got a call this week they would deliver another section but they couldnt find it(it was delivered already) and once we told them that seemed to make their day better. The guys who delivered to our house were great and eager to communicate.original:I may update this later if my purchase actually shows up, but Value City gave horrible expectationsWe bought a large sectional from VC in Greenwood. They did a good job and helped us fine. We were told it would be three months for our delivery. Well apparently the CEO of Value City can not manage his business or supply chain and Im sick of excuses. Two days before delivery on a three month lead time we get a call that only three of our 6-7 pieces could be delivered and the rest would be delivered a week later. While its only an inconvenience, its stupid. How could you not have noticed or communicated to us with a three month lead time that half our purchase would be late. I dont want to yell at the person calling me, Im sure she gets that a lot. Instead I call out to the CEO Jonathan Schottenstein. Learn to manage your business and supply chain. I bet if your employees are 5 minutes late they get in trouble. How are you held accountable for running you business? Im fighting my wife on returning the couch because I hate poor customer service. If you look at other reviews, it appears this is a consistent problem. The best thing to note is that Value City owns most of their suppliers which means they have no idea how to communicate with each other. A clear sign of bad leadership.Jonathan Schottenstein learn to manage you business. If your customers are saying this, you know your employees are. If I had a three month prep time for a project at work and told my boss two days before it was due that I needed another week.... my boss would think I was an idiot.

One of the Customer Service employees is not friendly at all, on top of that, she gave us wrong information when we asked about adjustable base legs, she said, in a very rude way, it can’t be shortened. However, turns out it can be adjusted to six levels, one of them was exactly what we needed. Also, when in-store they were dismissive when I asked about a discount that my wife saw, after I insisted, they gave us some discount, although I am sure they could have given us at least $300 more discount. Lastly, they kept changing the delivery dates, and my order was delivered on multiple runs, even that they assured me it will be one delivery when I bought the furniture. The furniture itself is nice.

Ive gotten furniture from this store a couple of times. The last time, last month, was the worst experience. I was delivered furniture with damage and the delivery team, a contractor working for VC, was horrible! They acted like they were in such a hurry to get my furniture off the truck and get going. I watched as one guy pushed, dragged and pulled my stuff off the truck, trying to get my stuff out with others Deliverys in the way. And the one guy in the truck trying to hand down my sofa and love seat down to the guy on the driveway. They didnt use the lift on the back of the truck and the box truck had a huge gaping hole in the passenger side of the truck. Theyre lucky it wasnt raining that day, cause everyones stuff would have been soaked if it was. Still currently waiting for my love seat to be replaced with a new one. The store didnt offer me a refund for the delivery fee I paid, paid $130 for 2 of the 3 items to be delivered damaged. Tentative date for replacement is the end of February if then.****Update on Feb 26th.****I was called Wednesday the 24th to confirm my delivery date on the 26th between 730 am and 1030 am. I work overnights so this WAS perfect. I could stay up for a couple extra hours, get my delivery and go to bed soon after. Well 830 am rolled around, and I tracked my delivery and its now saying Im not getting my delivery until after 130 pm on the 26th! This is completely ridiculous and unacceptable. Now I have to stay up even longer cause due to this unforeseen change of delivery times. I have both the text and email showing it was supposed to be here from 730 am to 1030 am. I will be asking for a full refund of the delivery fee paid and well see if the new seat arrives undamaged this time, lowered rating to 1 star as well!Never got reimbursed for delivery or damages, will never shop here again!!

This is absolutely the worst place ever. The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I ordered a bed there August 1st of 2020 and they just called for the 4th time to let me know my new date of arrival is April 17th 2021. I was originally suppose to receive the bed on October 15th. No one called to let me know that the date was pushed back, they just didnt show up. My mother in law also ordered a bedroom suit on Sept 1st and was suppose to receive it in October, well its February 8th and she still hasnt received it. Oh and the manager will not get on the phone with me, no one calls me back, and no one will do any type of customer service discount. Place is a complete ans total joke.

My dining set was purchased in early August. It took three deliveries to receive my complete order. I was told there would be a delay in delivering the stools and given anestimate of Nov 1 for the stools and the last stool was delivered Nov 25. I understand that COVID may be part of the problem. Called me day before couch was suppose to be delivered to confirm delivery. Arranged time to be there an they never showed up or called. I called an they said the couch didn’t arrive yet an scheduled for the next week. That week came an same thing happened. The third week came an our couch showed up unexpected. We had only a 20 minute notice. Luckily we were home. Bad part was the mattress for the couch didn’t arrive with it so now our couch is not useable because it sinks way down. Went to the store to ask where the mattress was an they said it would be another month! This place is a disaster! Don’t buy from here!

The staff was very helpful! Robin worked for me and I received my delivery 3 months ahead of schedule. The delivery came when they scheduled with me and the workers were professional, which is very different from other furniture stores! I have never had a bad experience with VCF. I would recommend them 100%!

So I bought about $1700 in furniture. It was supposed to be delivered 12/5. I bought it on 10/24. I specifically asked if their shipping date meant anything. The sales lady said maybe 3 days on either side of date. Now the website says 12/21. Of course I dont believe that either. I will be cancelling my order and go to a store that has stock.If you think I am just a crank, you can view other reviews I have given. Most are 4 or 5 stars. I hate when I am lied to.

My boyfriend & I just moved into our first house. Before visiting Value City, we had visited 6+ different furniture stores. We FINALLY found something we liked & it’s all because of Tiffany & Robin. They were tremendously helpful. 10/10 customer service.

My delivery people were awesome. They arrived when they said they would. They were quick and efficient. They were courteous and friendly. . Very careful of the furniture and the home. Wish every service experience could be like this. Wonder if I can request the same guys to deliver our next purchase.
