Wow! The employees here are very nice and helpful! Good selection even during this COVID madness of everything being out of stock or delayed. An employee came up to us and asked us if we mended any help, we already knew what we wanted but he was very nice, he helped me put it into my truck and gave us good instructions on how to use it. Very strong team. I had a problem with my chainsaw and they made it right. They presented their findings to Echo. They advocated for me, and provided pics to Echo as well. Echo agreed it was a manufacturing defect and replaced my saw with a completely new unit. The service department refunded my check in fee for service, even though they spent at least 30 minutes diagnosing the issue. I felt that overall the service was more than fair. I am very pleased they took the time to stand by me as a customer. I will continue to shop here and return for service on my equipment as needed.

Josh was a lifesaver! Actually, a lawn mower saver. I had lost the key to my old Snapper riding mower and was afraid it could not be replaced. I called and spoke with Josh and told him what I needed. When I got there a few minutes later he had a two pack of the correct keys waiting for me. That is service at its best.If my sweet old dad were still with us, he would take a cot and just move in. Great people, great service, and everything you need to get the job done. I am a fan!

I got really great advice on how to take care of my St Augustine grass from Jerry. I had a fungus in my yard that was driving me crazy! Jerry knew right away what it was, and he had the chemical in stock I needed to fix it. He is super knowledgeable on all things that you need for your yard. The other staff I met were friendly and inviting. The store also has many unique things for your home, yard, or camping trip that you will not see in other stores.

We purchased β€œtopsoil” from this business to fill raised beds being used for vegetable gardening. The quality of the product was terrible. The β€œtopsoil” was filled with rocks and hardened clumps of dirt, not to mention nails, shards of glass and even a couple of cigarette butts. The photos are AFTER the product had some amendments.

I didnt give it 5 stars because as others have commented, zero of the workers wear face masks, and as someone who has lost a loved one from Covid, I thought it was jarring to see this, all other Ace hardware stores use their masks. I dropped some chainsaw chains off to be sharpened in August of 19 as I had done in the past at this store. All were paid for in advance as requested however the largest of the 3 was completed before the others. Being nearby the location at the time I picked that one up solely as I needed it most for the diameter of logs I was cutting in attempt to beat incoming weather. As merely a homeowner and not an arborist I seldom use my saw only every few years for prepping firewood so it became out of sight and mind that I never obtained the 2 smaller chains from the store. Time went by before over a year later when I went back to use my saw that I realized the store still had them, or so I thought. Upon calling and the employees looking around I was informed that they had evidently been thrown away under the assumption I abandoned them. To think that one would pay for a service only to disregard accepting it in return seems pretty illogical. My biggest issue lied in how as one should, they had my contact information on file and never attempted a curtesy call to inform me that they were sitting there ready for pickup. They claim they only spend thirty seconds to do so in the event its defective and cannot be sharpened. Again, as someone who seldom uses their saw this was completely unbeknown to me. As a small business owner myself I couldnt fathom being paid for a service then assuming my client would just willingly walk away. After speaking with the manager, Barry, and informing him that I still have the tag stating the date of service and that it was paid for he more or less implied that it was too bad they tossed $50 in chains on me. And to think Ive provided additional business to this store regarding lawn mower equipment. Lesson learned, even minor means of communication are apparently too much to ask from some anymore. Way to hang on to a customer!

I have a had a great experience going to Landscapers Supply on Greenville for all of my Grass needs. When you get there ask for Jerry Jones and he will get you on an awesome annual yard maintenance program (growing grass, weed control, maintaining). He knows his stuff and I feel like I should be paying him for the information he gives me for free. Definitely grab their grass maintenance calendar at the center counter. Shows you exactly what to do month to month for your type of grass. They also carry high quality products in bulk and normal residential size of fertilizer, grass seed, pre/post emergent, fungicide, etc.... Best selection in the update, dont waste your time at Home Depot or Lowes.

Be Warned! Just picked my mower this afternoon that wouldn’t start. Took it in Saturday and told the guy that I do all the annual service of spark plug, air filter, oil my self. I figured it was the carb and just needed cleaning or possibly replaced. I was ask for a 40.00$ deposit. No biggie. When I picked it up this afternoon it was another 73.00$! When I ask what all was done I was told the full service and cleaned carb. Was charged for full hour of service at 95.00$ per hour. When I questioned why all this was done. The service lady Tracy says I got the full service because you brought it in on Saturday when she wasn’t there they did the full service and laughed about it. No apology, thank you for your business or anything. I looked over the service area and no sign or anything saying service rate is 95.00 an hour and was not told this when I dropped it off?Now I will say I am not familiar with going rate of small engine repair but 95.00$ seems high? Last I checked small engines don’t run off EFI and have computers that require a lot of expensive equipment to repair? This price is more in line for service on a car?Also I got a call leaving a message that the mower was ready. When I showed up to pick it up I was told that the service department closes at 5 and would have to wait for a manager to go unlock that building so he could retrieve the mower. Acted like I was supposed to know this even though the store is open till 6pm? Nothing on the message stating anything about it. Only that my mower was ready.All around bad customer service with zero care about getting a service and having to pay for a service that wasn’t ask for. I confronted the manager when he delivered to my truck and he said he would look into it.I guess the plus of all this is the mower did start on first pull when I got it home.

The staff take time to help find the right item for you and do their best to give you an honest answer when you have difficult questions. The also have hard to find items the box stores dont have. They have had my mower for 2 weeks. They said it will be AT LEAST another week. All it needs is a chain. They are good at a lot...timely service isnt one. Very unhappy at this point.UPDATE #1: At the 4th week with no mower I called the manager. He checked while I was on hold for 22 minutes and said I would be able to pick up 3 days later. Later in the day he called and said it was ready. Shouldnt have to call manager for service. Works perfectly now. Still 1 star due to length of time it took but 4 star for how it works now. UPDATE #2: down to 1 star total. Chain snapped a week later. Found a different small engine repair place. Horrible timeliness and less than adequate customer service.

I wanted to give them a chance after a bad experience with them a while back. Most recently, I purchased some gravel and the guy dumped it all over the truck ans outside. Also he made certain the scoop was flat which made me suspect of the the true 1 cubic yard claim. Anyway, I went back within days and asked for a scoop of gravel. The same guy came to do the loading and I specifically asked him Do you want me to move the truck so you can dump it in and not all over? He answered in negative. I should have known better. He dumped it all over, worse than before. Chipping and scratching the heck out of the paint. Same guy, second time! I spoke with management and I was shocked with the lack of customer concern and the way it was handled. I cant imaging how they thrive in such a way but I guess when competition is absent anything will go. Anyway, I have no intention of going back and I am sharing my experience so people are aware of the red flags.

If you need a lawn mower fixed GO ELSEWHERE! I brought a lawnmower in 2 years ago for repair ... they kept it almost A FULL YEAR. When it was finally ready I picked it up, got it home, went to use it, and the same thing was wrong with it that i brought it in for in the first place! I brought it back and explained the situation...they took it back β€œfixed” it again ... charged me a SECOND time for the original problem ... went to pick it up the third time, and after waiting almost an hour, they brought out the mower, and it was still doing the same thing!!!! Long story short they STILL have it .., almost 2 years later!!! When I try to call to check on the status I’m on hold for literally 45 min - 1 hour EVERY TIME! I’ve missed out on having this lawn mower for almost 3 summers now...I’ve now paid more to β€œrepair” it then I payed for it in the first place...and they STILL have it!! Total and complete incompetence and horrible customer service! Don’t waste your time or money!! 😑

So a couple of months ago I went to landscapers supply on Fairview Rd. Upon getting my product they did over $1150.00 worth of damage to my truck. The owner Mark Ells refused to do anything. I went the extra step and got an attorney. Mark Ells still doesnt see what they did wrong! However the facts are.They created an incident report.Offered a paint stick to cover up the damage.Informed my attorney that he doesnt see how they did anything wrong. Well if they did an incident report, offered a paint stick, stated that the bucket they used was larger than the truck and he didnt angle it correctly obviously they are at fault. Mark Ells refuses to do anything unless I took him to court!Im just sharing this information to inform the public that landscaper supply will not fix what damage they caused. As well if you look them up you will see they have been in court numerous times for similar scenarios.Dont use landscaper supply of Simpsonville!!

Incompetent liars. My wife went to get two of our 20lb tanks filled. Apparently they couldnt be bothered the time. They told her that the exchange was just the same as a fill. Which its not, costs more, and they give you roughly 1/3 less propane, ie: you give them 20lb tanks to refill to 20lbs, but instead they just give you crappy 15lb tanks. I called a whilie back, and was told that it would be taken care of. So I later stopped down, and the guy just says well thats the industry standard and I asked why they refused to fill the tanks rather than exchange them, and the manager Trevor, just walks away to go hide in his office. Rude, rip off, liars. If you like these traits, along side the fact that everything in this store is overpriced, then sure, go ahead and shop here. They also try to take your information, and store them on unsecured systems, where the information is neither salted nor hashed. If you like having your identity stolen, give them that information as well. Anything in this store can be found at any other given hardware store and/or feed and seed. Ill shop somewhere that they dont treat you like garbage.

I was very very disappointed in their service, delivery and very bad customer service when trying to follow up ! Im a supervisor for over a 200 unit complex and have about 4 other complexes the same size that was going to prepare their properties through mine . I called all of our regular vendors trying to get the best deal on the most sand for all the sand bags we will need and all that we have ordered . After the call dropped 3 times with them which shouldve been a hint but just felt like things happen sometimes . Anyway talked to the overall supervisor and property owner so we all agreed landscape supply -Ace hardware would be the best bet to go with after getting information from 3 of their employees and salesperson . Was going with 2 ton of sand to be delivered same day, 1.7 miles away from them . $45.00 delivery fee which couldve been dealt with seeing gas prices and all other things that goes into it . But when he pulls up with a huge dump truck wanting the cash before even looking or unloading my sand, I paid in cash fromPetty cash from office then walked the property to show where to dump . When the rude driver finally followed me in his truck while I walked the property . He backs up and dumps what looked like a 4 wheelbarrows of sand in the huge spot i had approved for all the two tons of sand and all the bagging of the sand . The Supposeldy paid for, the amount 3 sales persons said Id receive comparing the two was a joke and a total rip off completely. Taking advantage of anyone trying to compare for all rain we will get and that I had many properties counting on my property to prepare . Then calling the so called manager or supervisor for landscape supply while the driver just pulled off saying it doesnt look like much but its the rite amount . The mangager - supervisor was just as unhelpful plus deisagreeing with his own sales people about how much was ordered, them not being able to know how much is in a scoop . Excuse excuse excuse . Anyone that has loaded mulch, sand etc etc for any amount of time can tell you within reason how much each scoop weighs and how much youll need for your project when asking but did offer to delever more sand for more money and another delivery fee!! Ive been working and ordering material like that for 30 years and know many in the past and their skill with scooping and the amount . i can somewhat understand one bad apple in a business but when it runs through everyone I talked to and dealt with . This place should truly just not be a supply company unless its supplying someone to take your money while you still have to look for the product needed elsewhere. In short, very unprofessional company, truly not a community company, I feel will rip you off with out a second thought and move on to their next victim . Will never deal with them again and make sure no one around my properties or that I know ever deal with this place again !!

This place is an absolute RIP off! I rented a dingo, with an attachment. They added 3 separate charges of $100 deposit totaling $300 . They also charged $80 in incidental fees . Once all totaled, I paid $800 to get the machine out the door. When I showed some displeasure with all of this by stating wow that seems excessive, one of the young ladies standing there rolled her eyes and walked away. The next morning I called because I needed to add a half a day additional to the rental. The gentleman on the phone was short and rude. He kept insisting I had the machine delivered. I kept telling him that I had not, that I had picked it up with a trailer. I was getting frustrated and told him man I just need the machine for another half a day! He told me he would make a note of it. When I brought back the retal items, the charge for the additional 4 hours was 80% of the original daily cost! A total RIP off! I will never rent from here again. The experience was awful, and the price was ridiculous.

Employees lack knowledge at parts counter.Takes way to long sometime to get what you need. When you do Landscaping and Maintenance for a living every minute counts. Standing in a line for a needed parts purchase it being sold the wrong part is very aggravating.
