They can’t give you a refund for a cancelled online order at THEIR store so they direct you to corporate. When corporate tries to direct you back to them for your refund and then tries to do it himself, promises it worked, gets off the phone, and it DIDN’T work, that’s more than annoying. Don’t bother with any online orders or curbside pickups if there’s any chance you’ll cancel it, just go to the store yourself and bite the cost of the time to search the cluttered place for what you need. They say they won’t charge your card until you actually pick it up but in reality they charge you immediately and make it a nightmare to get even a penny of your money back. They stopped another woman for having a PURSE. Do you have to be a man to shop here and get any kind of human decency from an employee?

I had an issue with my Big Green Egg that I bought from Ace several years ago. I dreaded the thought of having to argue with them to honor the warranty. When I finally went in and spoke with the manager, Jeff, he said Ace and Big Green Egg Stand behind the warranty without question. He ordered the parts and contacted me as soon as they came in. The whole process was quick and easy. I wish other businesses would take note of the exceptional customer service Ace provided.

My first time ever shopping with this company and I doubt I’ll be back. Last week I went in after looking through their clearance things outside, I probably walked my several employees as well as the cashiers! I made it down 2 aisles and felt strange because I could feel employees following me and like watching me! I only went in for Grandma’s Spot Remover the little bottle but of course I had to look to find it since I’ve never been before. Out of no where an employee walks up to me with his little coffee in his hand and tells me I have to go that my purse isn’t allowed in the store. I said oh ok well I didn’t see a sign up, I’ve never been here and other women came in with theirs! But can u tell me where grandmas spot remover is located that’s all I need and I’m only going to go ahead and get it because nobody else has it! I felt extremely singled out and like a target because I carry an oversized purse due to me having kids I carry all their stuff and mine! I WON’T BE BACK!!

I was looking for bungee cords and a store associate directed me right to them. I found what I wanted quickly in a variety of prices and sizes. I liked that I didn’t have to figure out what I wanted while looking at 50 bungee cords. I walked by the caulk and remembered I needed some. Again quickly found what I needed. The store was clean and it made me want to stay. My checkout experience was quick and friendly.

Every time I go into this store, they are friendly and helpful. They always ask if I need help and if they dont know the answer, they find it for me. Jeff, one of the managers, is awesome. They have a great supply of Big Green Egg things as well.

When to ace to get a key made and I waited in line for 10 minutes to get to the counter for the kid to say let me get the person behind you. Please please train your people on customer service just as I waited in line the people behind me can wait too!!! I will never come back to this ace.

My local ACE Hardware, Woodruff Rd, recently demonstrated outstanding customer service. I tried to purchase a birdbath on line but couldn’t be certain of getting color I wanted. 8/29 I went into ACE, described my dilemma to person in charge, who offered to order a pallet of 4 asst colors so I could get the color I wanted. 9/1, I was able to pick up the birdbath. This wouldn’t have happened just anywhere! AWESOME SERVICE!!’

Checked the bird food and saw the Ultra Wild Finch Seed 10# the sticker below the bag on the shelf said $12.98. Got billed $19.99 and questioned the issue and showed the women where it was and she pointed out that over that two stickers to the left of the product I bought was the price of $19.99 for what I got. Who ever put the products on the shelf sure installed it the wrong areas there for frustrating the customer when there is a $7.00 difference it the price stickers! Asked for a manger and they said there isnt one there.

I wish I could remember the name of the young man that helped me because he was excellent! Staff are very attentive but even more than that, knowledgeable! Asked what I was looking for, showed him a picture and we were off running. It wasnt the right length so he took the bolts into the back and cut them down, no blank stares, no fuss (like you get in other stores).Very different experience than Ive had in the bigger stores, I will be going to Ace whenever possible from this point on. Thank you Ace!

I really want to love this store, and go there quite often, thinking it will be faster than parking and dealing with the big box. They have a reasonable selection for the store size and the Ace Rewards program offers good deals. However, the staff is consistently not helpful, sometimes shockingly so. I generally get better answers at the large chain home improvement stores. Service is supposed to be Aces (the helpful place) main attraction, unfortunately. The store seems to be undergoing a multi-year reorganization, and merchandise is stacked everywhere, with the aisles shrinking each week. Dont try to go down if someone else has a cart. I will still go there as I usually find something close to what I want, and they have a few random categories (like light bulbs) where their selection is the biggest around.

This is one of my favorite hardware stores. Can ALWAYS get help! Great big box alternative. Just redid the layout of the store which was beneficial to all. There associates really care and go above and beyond to help you. Glad to see them busy every time I go there, but still able to get the service and advice I need.

Our go-to hardware store! We grew up with Ace Hardware in our home town and love that there is one nearby. This is also the closest USPS store, which is really convenient!Much more personal and informational than the big box home improvement stores and they carry specialty brands like Stihl. Also, I never go anywhere else to get my nails, screws, etc. Because their bulk section is so inexpensive and they have everything!

This store had some special mirror clips that I needed but couldnt find anywhere else. I was impressed by the variety of items they carry and by how friendly everyone was! Ill definitely be back.

Had a key made for new used truck. They were efficient and personable. I also get my propane for grill here and have always found their prices and service to be great. Highly recommend.

Cant say enough about the staff at Ace. They are much more helpful than the big box stores and always are available. I have shopped here for years and love the personal attention I receive. Great place to find last minute gifts as well, as they carry more than just Hardware.

I have gotten paint, hardware, a Big Green Egg and of course the free popcorn at this store. You will not find more helpful people than at the Woodruff Ace. Im a DIYer and having such approachable and helpful people answer my questions makes me shop here more and more. Plus, their prices are very competitive and I was able to get my Big Green Egg for hundreds less than other places delivered and setup for free. Not only that, the two people who delivered it were punctual, polite and professional. Awesome store.

The best Ace Hardware that i have ever been in. Multple employees offered to help. Chris went above & beyond to get me an answer that neither of us knew. Tons of inventory including huge lots of grilling supplies. If you are willing to brave Woodruff Rd. It will be worth it. They will treat you right.

I much prefer Classic Ace to the big box stores. The service is way better, their selection is awesome and they are always priced right. They have the best price anywhere on LP tank refills. They have tons of college logo items and a big selection of Yeti items.

I have to give this place 5 stars both for the ACE and the postoffice branch in here. I will come here sometimes just to kill time. They have a wide selection of items. Im asked everytime, multiple times if I need help. That makes the difference between these stores and the big box stores. I really enjoy this ACE!

I recently was shopping for a 20’ fiberglass extension ladder and found the item at Ace Hardware. I went to my local store in Greer, SC to find they did not have any stock, however that store was nice enough to locate one at the 1622 woodruff road location in Greenville SC. When I arrived at that store, I noticed this ladder sitting outside the building with other taller ladders. I went inside the store to inquire, only to have the sales associate tell me they only had aluminum ladders in stock (inside the store). I told the sales associate I saw the ladder outside and proceeded to go with him to find the ladder. We found it and confirmed the item number matched.We then took the UPC number and item number inside so I could buy the ladder. The UPC number was entered and the price showed $189.99 instead of the advertised $139.99. The manager was called (who did not come to the register where I was) and I was later informed that was an online buy only. I asked the associate why I couldn’t simply buy it there as we had already moved the ladder from storage to the front of the store near where I was parked.I asked to speak to the manager who then came to the store floor and again told me I would have to buy it online, then once the transaction registered at that location, I could take it home. He didn’t know how long it would take for the transaction. By now I was extremely frustrated that the ladder was only feet from my vehicle, I had the money in my hand ready to pay but was told I couldn’t buy the ladder on site at the store unless I was willing to pay $189.99.It was then I decided I would not buy it and drove up the road to Lowe’s to buy their ladder, which they were happy to sell me while I paid cash.Overall, I am very dissatisfied with my experience with this Ace location. The store made no mention of a supposed online only sale when I was looking at the ladder and never said it will cost a consumer $50 more if it were to be purchased in person with cash.

Always excellent service and helpful. I usually find what I need without having to go to the big box store and walk for miles, and hopefully find someone to help.

Terrible key cutting. I went to ACE on Woodruff because they can cut specialized keys. I waited 10 minutes before a manager helped me. He then proceeded to cut the key. He charged $20 and when I looked at the key, it was cut crooked and did not even match the original. I was so obvious he did not care to put any effort in it. The Key cost me $19 and what a waste of $40. Poor customer care.

Bought a can of paint and apparently they did not hammer the lid on as I left and made a turn and paint went flying all over my car. I knew it was an accident but they never apologized for the mess to my car and never offered to replace my damaged floor mat - my brother manages an Ace hardware and said that was inexcusable! All it would have taken is Im sorry- I wont be back to this store.

Terrible unfriendly service its like walking around a high school no ones knowledgeable and very rude and bairly 18 and i could over here some of the employees accusing and gossiping about an older gentlemen of stealing which happen to be my father (whos never stolen in his life) who has Alzheimers and cant help but be alittle off thanks for making it clear that you dont have what it takes, leave it to lowes and home depot guys ace the helpful hardware joke i definitely wont step foot in this place again if i could give this place no stars i would in my book -2 is what you get

Ive been going to this ACE since 2003. The guys and gals in this store are 2nd to none. Great customer service! I moved to Anderson and 2014 and wouldnt still go to this store everytime I was in Greenville. Now Im back in Simpsonville and go here for most all of my needs.
