I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra with very little to no issues since I bought car new. The car is now 8 years old. It was time to me to find a reputable place to have a complete checkup from top to bottom. I do not have in depth knowledge of car maintenance to know what needed to be done to keep my car running smoothly and was very hesitant to go just anywhere for fear of being charged a lot for services I did not need. North Hills Automotive was recommended by someone as trustworthy, honest, professional. I brought my car in for the Annual inspection service. they provided me with complete details and costs associated with the necessary maintenance needed to ensure a longer lasting and better running vehicle. the cost was around $700 for everything (and the list is long as far as what was done) which included the 109.95 fee for the annual inspection. Oh.. their work has a lifetime guarantee and the inspection special includes 4 free oil changes for any vehicle with no expiration! Butler Rd. Location is awesome! 1987 Taurus was given to my daughter by my Mom, who rarely drives. At first it had a few issues from sitting up a lot and they did a great job in the time they said. When we realized it needed new brakes, and a few other things as the check engine light came on, we didnt think twice about using them again. That time when I picked up the car, I paid them for services rendered but then I got down the street and the car started smoking. I called them and they wanted to send a tow truck but I was right around the corner so I just went right back. Something had happened within the brake system that took a few days work out. Their service team took the time to figure it out, and the business took care of that cost. My daughter drove my car while they were working on hers so they let me to use a loaner. I had an out of town trip planned that weekend so they went above and beyond and rented me a car to be able to safely go on my trip. These guys do what they say theyll do. Joey and Jay are the two guys that I spoke with the most...seriously guys, amazing service! We are so happy that our family has found a car service center with knowledgeable technicians/mechanics that we can trust! I highly recommend them!!!!

They repaired/ replaced wheel sensor that was causing dash lights to be on. They also found a coolant leak that I had 3 other places look for. None of the other shops could find the leak. Extremely friendly and helpful. Done very quickly.

BEST auto experience of my life. I tell everyone to go here. From the start, North Hills Asked did I need someone to drive me to run errands, get something to eat, etc... while I waited. They were very nice. They then ran a diagnostics and upon realizing my car was at a total loss, waved the diagnostics fee and told me it would be a safer option for me to get a new vehicle. They also tipped me off with fluids and patched a few leaks so that I could make it back to campus for FREE. These temporary repairs they did still have my car running long enough for me to find something new.

A friend recommended North Hills Automotive and must say I was very impressed with their professionalism and communication while my car was there. Turned out there was no issue-car had sat in garage for two weeks and after a longer drive the mechanic determined that was likely the cause. They did not even charge me a diagnostic fee. North Hills has a reputation for outstanding service. I purchased new tires for my car today and took my vehicle by to get the alignment checked. I was pleased as a walk in customer to get my vehicle checked promptly and out quickly. I generally do my own service save for things I cant such as an alignment and some jobs that are beyond my scope of abilities. For those types of services I am very particular about who I allow to work on my vehicle. I am pleased to say that based on my experience today and the reputation they have earned that North Hills automotive will be my first choice for alignments and for services that I cannot perform myself. This is the first review I’ve ever written in my entire life. I was headed through Greenville last week to Asheville to go hiking. It was around midnight and my truck started overheating. I also had a ABS sensor light on. My truck is a 2009 sport trac with 190,000 miles with little history of problems. I debated having it towed back to Fair Play or finding a local place. I started reading reviews and came across North Hills Automotive. They had great 5 star reviews and it was close so I took it there and a friend picked me up. I know very little about engines so it’s makes me kinda vulnerable in that situation. So the next day I was contacted by Brett and for what it needed was going to be 1700.00 without a ABS sensor. I told him no way I can afford 1700.00. So taking off some things that weren’t broke and fixing what was broke and had to be fixed, a radiator, water pump and ABS sensor and oil change. Everything came to 1511.00. I’m a retired Paramedic and any other time in my life I would have been better prepared financially for a emergency. But at this time, along with millions of people, I just am not. Fortunately I have a life long friend I was able to secure a loan with. So I okayed the work. So the next day Brett called and told me it was ready to go and also said he put some new hoses on for me. I happened to be on speaker phone when I answered and after hanging up my friend and I both talked about how that was nice of him to replace the hoses especially considering how much it all cost to fix. When the check out guy gave me the bill that had been paid by phone it wasn’t 1511.00 at all, it was 1676.00!! I was charged for the hoses. I had already told him I couldn’t afford 1700.00. In the hundreds of times I’ve needed a mechanic in my life or any type of services for that matter I’ve never had unauthorized work done and then been charged for it. When I asked the check out guy about it Brett came out and showed me the cost and said we wouldn’t want you to have a hose start leaking on the way home then went back in his office. No “we appreciate your business “, “thanks for choosing us” nothing. I took my keys and left feeling sick at my stomach and suspecting I’d been lied to and taken for a ride. I needed to absorb this before responding. So that happened Friday and today is Tuesday. When I went over the cost with Brett he never mentioned hoses. And the shady way it was handled will always leave me wondering if a hose wasn’t the problem all along. I did speak with Brett this morning about everything I mentioned here. I told him my concerns over unauthorized work being done and how I had already told him I couldn’t afford 1700.00 and how it makes me question if all that work needed to be done. He quickly directed me to read their reviews to see how honest and trustworthy they were. 5 star reviews were why I was there! I also explained I had secured a loan for 1511.00, not for 1676.00, and it would take me over a year to pay it. He said that wasn’t his fault,Wow!, I’m sure I didn’t imply it was. I also had a charge of 109.95 for a annual inspection that includes three future oil changes. I ask for it to be refunded because it’s something I won’t use. I’m over 45 miles from there. Brett offered me a partial refund on the annual inspection IF I would give them a 5 star review online. I relied on reviews now I feel horrible! Just to see I looked up parts cost. At Autozone I could get everything for 303.00 plus tax. North Hills charged me 654.00 just for the parts. Labor was almost 600.00. Everyone wants to have a good experience but especially females who aren’t very educated about engines. As you can see I did not take the the discount offer for a 5 star rating. Now I have three paid for oil changes I won’t use but I’m grateful my integrity and honesty remains intact. And this review?...had I seen it...would have saved me hundreds of dollars I believe. This was my experience and I wish you a better experience if you choose North Hills Automotive.

I originally went based off of a recommendation from a mechanic in Greenwood when I was looking for a place in Greenville. Their prices were the best I had gotten from any quotes and the lifetime warranty they offer was the best! Also I originally went in thinking I had a leak in my evaporator coil as I was told by another place. However that information was inaccurate and they made sure to actually find where the issue was coming from and it was much less to fix than the evaporator coil! The fact that they took the time to make sure instead of just going by what somewhere else said even though it was less money for them instilled trust in them! They also did a full inspection and told me anything that needed to be done but saying none was urgent and could be done in phases showing they valued your finances and budget as well! This is definitely my car repair place in Greenville now!

Great service. I thought I needed brakes but was told I still have some pad left and could wait. They suggested another service to get soon which I will schedule at another time. They did a full check of my vehicle and didnt charge me anything. They will get a return visit from me the next time.

This was my first time at North Hills and I was so impressed. They talked to me nicely about all of my choices and didn’t try to sell me on extra stuff like a previous garage had. Taken my personal car and work car there multiple times for service, anything from an oil changes to bigger repairs. They seem to be very honest (good quality in a mechanic) and make sure the job is done right. An extra convenience is the free shuttle service. Highly recommended.

Jacob and the entire North Hills team is always there with professionalism and quality service that they stand behind. I drive a twenty-three year old car that has never failed me. I occasionally rely on North Hills Limo service which is also timely and reliable. Whenever I take a trip out of town, I roll in for them to check my fluids, which they do at no charge. On one occasion, they checked my tires (without my asking) and found I had picked up a screw. They repaired the tire, added air, and completed everything in about fifteen minutes. Two thumbs up.

I was having battery issues, although I had just gotten the battery replaced at a local auto parts store. I called North Hills and they were able to come pick my car up and solve the problem in less than 2 hours. Although it was a simple fix (loose cables), they were kind, courteous, and pricing was as expected. They even offered to call the auto parts store to discuss the improper battery installation to help me obtain reimbursement for their service costs (which I was able to do). I would definitely use them again for any car repair needs!

I took a risk and had my car towed here one night after they closed just because they were the closest shop to where I broke down. I called the next morning, described my problem, and they had it diagnosed, fixed, and ready to go by the end of the day. I even paid over the phone so all I had to do was come pick it up after work. They were very no nonsense and got the job done quickly, the repair seemed reasonably priced for what it was, and a few days later the car is running as well as ever. Ive got nothing to complain about.

This place is a joke. They do not employ mechanics. If you go there, theyll hit you with a BS diagnostics.I requested and scheduled an appointment to replace an exchange valve. I had previously tried to fill the coolant, and as the system had negative pressure knew the valve was bad.Twice today, once when I dropped the car off and once on the phone told them to change the valve.$150 diagnostic charge and a coolant fill and under 3 hours the AC isnt cooling.Dont waste you time with these people. I would call them parts changers instead of mechanics but they cannot even do that.EDIT:Thank you for the vocabulary lesson.When I called and scheduled the appointment, the appointment was set for your business to change the part that I asked for. You all decided to do your diagnosis and charge me for it, which I paid and was willing to pay for the parts replacement.You didnt have to guess, I gave you the answer. Change the part you agreed to do.Why would I bring the car back for more diagnostics if I know is what is wrong with it?

Been a loyal customer for years but was a little nervous when they recently closed the garage on Pelham/North. Todays interaction cemented my loyalty. They honored their warranty claim without question and even paid to have my car towed there from another garage. I was traveling through Greenville from New Jersey and I heard some squeaking from the rear brakes in my truck. Since I was towing a trailer, I wanted to get the brakes checked. I found North Hills Automotive through Google Maps and read some good reviews. I called the shop and explained the situation and they said to bring it in. I went to the shop and found a comfortable clean waiting room. Within 15 minutes, they had taken my truck into the shop. In another 10 minutes, they came back and told me that although I would need pads and rotors soon, I had adequate brake pad material to get me home safely. When I asked what I owed them, they said it would be no charge. I was quite surprised and pleased! They treated me very well and were very honest. I heartily recommend North Hills Automotive!

As a person who doesnt know anything about cars, this place is great. The staff is friendly and they explain everything to you. Although some of there advice is questionable, like getting a rotation after I just had one, they never force a buy on you . If you say you dont want something they dont beg you to buy it. They offer to give you a ride to work and pick you up as they work on your car, but there is also a nice waiting area with free WiFi and coffee .

Way overpriced, Insane upcharge on parts. Got turned down for a job that would literally take minutes. Atleast they answered the phone.

My wife ran over a large bolt that imbedded in her tire on the way home from work. The tire was not flat yet, so I hustled her car over to North Hill Augusta, thinking I could drop it overnight. Even though they were closed, Bryson was working late and came out to ask if I needed some help. Instead of having me leave my car, he dropped what he was doing, pulled my car in the shop, and repaired my tire! What outstanding service! Since the day I found North Hills Ive never gone anywhere else for automotive maintenance. These guys are fantastic!

I am writing this review because I took my Van to this place for repairs. I am new to this area, so when our van broke down my husband heard about this place and that is why we went to it. I admit I dont know much about cars, but I have a person who I have always been able to call when I needed advise on my cars. This person works on cars has for years and has friends who are mechanics. So when I heard the price of how much it would be to fix my van, and all the parts they said they would need right away I called this man, he was at work and I had to make a decision. I needed the van so I did tell them to fix it, I knew I was being took but was not sure how bad. Then when I finally got a hold of this man, the first thing he did was LOL long story short, he said it was basically a good tune up. And the parts I was charged over $500.00 for, came to $203.00 he checked out all the part prices, I was also charged I come to find out $700.00 for lab for like and hour or two worth of work. I will not be going back to this place again.

The problem with my car seems to be fixed, however the price I was charged for parts was four times the cost I found for the exact brand and price elsewhere. On my statement it also said my tires were rotated at no charge. I know this to be false as I have two tires of one brand and two of another as I could not afford to replace all four when I needed them last time. The two Michelins were on the back and two Coopers on the front. After their rotation I still had the two Michelins on the back and two Coopers on the front. The staff is very friendly, but I cant stand dishonesty. They also seemed to find many other problems, some that I know were false because they had been resolved recently in another state. Glad my car is fixed, but I appreciate up front honesty, which I did not get.
