Stopped at Pepboys today without an appointment to get my brakes checked and replaced. I was greeted immediately and my truck was taken to be serviced.After a short wait, my truck was done. I want to mention Keith Simmons who was behind the counter.As busy as he was, he was pleasant and courteous and made the wait enjoyable. I will definitely be going back!
Recently was in a pinch and Danielle (Service manager) was extremely helpful and patient in getting me taken care of. Dyllan took great care of my car ( I watched the whole time like a psycho) and I cant thank them enough. I highly recommend this store.
I took my 09 Honda Civic in for a PA state inspection. They had failed it because of rust under the rear passenger floor board. Said it was “a critical structure point and safety hazard.” Now, I have an older car and I have had this car for 8 years. I understand rust happens, especially in PA when they salt the roads so heavily in the winter. So, I took it to an auto body shop and they said it was not a safety hazard and not nearly as bad as they made it out to be. Only cost me 150 bucks to even repair (cheap for an auto body repair!). I had called pep boys a couple days after my failed inspection and told them hey, I have an appointment on Tuesday next week to fix up my car. Can I bring it in in the afternoon to get my inspection finished? They said sure bring it in as long as it is before 4 pm and quoted me 38 dollars for a re inspection and sticker. Well… it’s next week and I had my rust repaired and when I took it to pep boys (i arrived around 2:45pm) they refused to inspect my car and acted as if I made up coming in. They also said that the person who inspected my car last was not in today….. well then why did you say I could come in? They wasted my time and my money. Took it over to NTB next door and they inspected it no problem on the spot and CHEAPER than what pep boys quoted me for a re inspection. Don’t waste your money here, unfriendly staff and unfair pricing. All they care about is taking your money and wasting your time.
Originally had a scheduled appointment at NTB where I was lied to about getting a headlight fixed in time luckily pep boys was able to get me in and get a new headlight in our car so we can go on vacation with both headlights functioning Jessica was very kind at the front desk and the technicians did a wonderful job thats why I should have went to pep boys in the first place and always will from now on
Although this pepboys location is strictly service, they looked at a car for us that was making some wheel noise in the front. Any car thats almost 10 years old is going to have some issues, including brakes that need to be repaired. The complimentary break inspection revealed that many more things were wrong, and that it would be better to either trade the vehicle or sell it versus invest thousands of dollars to repair. Total cost $0. Actual value priceless! Great customer service and outstanding advice to benefit a customer. Will definitely be back
I bought tires and had my inspection done there. The Assistant Service Manager Bob Reese was excellent. He was very helpful with scheduling my service and re-scheduling when I needed to change it. I had a couple of other issues that were really challenging and he was very gracious and accommodating. I also was under a time crunch and he made sure my tires were installed & my inspection was completed in a timely manner. I plan on returning for future car servicing. Five stars from me!

Thanks Logan for the great service! My car would not start late Saturday afternoon. i had it towed to the Greensburg store after hours Saturday night. Logan called me first thing Sunday morning and told me I needed a new starter. It was a little more than I wanted to pay but I was able to get my car back Sunday afternoon and Logan was able to find me a discount that saved me some money. Thank you for pulling me out of a jam and for saving me hours on the cold wet ground doing it myself all day Sunday!
I have been going to this Pep Boys location for about 10 years for everything automotive. These guys are awesome! Every time you go there, they are super helpful and friendly. I believe that they are honest when telling you what needs to repaired and with pricing. I definitely recommend stopping into Pep Boys when your car needs assistance.
Logan and the other guys that helped me have been very honest. Even telling me after a free brake inspection that I didnt need anything at all on my car. It was because of this honesty and excellent service that I went back and gave them my business with a new set of tires and lifetime alignment service. Ill be back to this location again for sure.

Couldn’t be happier with the service. My car needed a lot of work and it took three days in total, but everyone there was super helpful and honest the whole time. They even price matched parts I needed without me needing to ask. When my car was finally done, I noticed it was making a weird sound. The place was super busy, but Doug still stopped what he was doing to check it out. The noise was really nothing but he still took the time to explain it to me. While I hope I don’t have to take my car in anytime soon, I will definitely keep going here.
I will never use this location again and I recommend you do the same - especially if you are a female. There is an employee there by the name of Bob that is belligerent, especially to women. He is also clearly under the influence. The fact that management allows this sort of behavior will guarantee I never return, as well as my family and every other human I can tell. I feel embarrassed for the other employees working there and every customer that is forced to deal with him.
I went to Pep Boys for an oil change. They were super fast and Logan was so nice and helpful. He was very personable and I will definitely be going back!

Very honest people. My daughter took her Jeep here to fix a leak in one of her tires. It turned out that one of the valves was faulty and they replaced it for no charge. She knows nothing of cars and they could have easily charged her anything. She said that all of the guys there could not have been nicer.

Made an appointment at 4 p.m. for a car inspection through the online service, and when I went in I was told that inspections arent performed that late in the day. Rob, the asst. manager, scheduled me for the next day on a Saturday and got me in immediately. When I went to drop off my car for the inspection I found out my registration had just expired, and he let me both keep my scheduled appointment and printed off a new copy of the registration for me. Extremely nice, patient, and trustworthy. This is my second time using services at this location and I will be back!

If I could give zero stars i would! I made an appointment for 2:30 and when I arrived for my appointment the man behind the counter told me its too late and they will not be servicing my vehicle. I was going to spend almost $1000 dollars there and he still told me too bad I can go somewhere else. I am not very happy about this and pep boys has lost a customer for good.
This morning my car was having some trouble in the flooded roadways so I pulled over and the guys here at Pep Boys have been so kind to check over my vehicle and let me wait out the storm. I would recommend their service for they have reassured me that my car was fine after my oil light came on after the second puddle I went through this morning. Thank you guys for making me feel safe and for a nice cup of Joe too.
Sitting here so far for an 1hr 15min for a simple tire rotation. I even had an appointment. This is absolutely ridiculous. The last time they balanced my tires on my truck, they put the weights on the outside of my rim. I didnt notice it until I had already went home. Today I asked them to remove them, and got the response...we only have time to rotate the tires, not rebalance them. I told the employee that they better hope the outside of my rims are not scratched or rusted from the weights.
The guys there were very helpful, accommodating., polite and easy to talk to. However, they over charge. Why should the customer pay for a warranty on the work? There was about $120.00 in cost for warranty on the work, this should be included in the labor cost. Not to mention the fact that labor was $583.00 to do work on all the same area and for work that would probably take 1 maybe 2 hours with complications. I sure hope that they pay their mechanics a lot of money if they charge that much for them to do the work. Although the staff was friendly I will not return because they charge entirely way too much for their work and warranties.
Needed a wheel alignment in a pinch and they where the only ones who where able to get me in and I was happy about that they did an amazing job and I would recommend anyone looking for a good alignment to go here. The price was ok but definitely not the cheapest but still fair.
Had an appointment for 11 and they tell me it will be hours before they could even get my car in. I tell them I will return back at 1. Come back at 1 and they tell me it will be an hour and a half. 2 hours later the car wasn’t even touched yet. Don’t take appointments if you are overwhelmed with walk ins or don’t take walk ins. Pretty simple.
Really good experience with all the staff working for this pep boys store. Like others, we are hesitate to walk into this store because of the previous bad experiences with our near home pep boys. But when we walk out there, we feel very satisfied. They tried their best to help us with our undrivable car which has been towed to another small garage. They are nice, gentle, professional and willing to help. Lucky we went into this store. We will recommend it to all of our friend.

Ordered two 215/70/15 tires online, Starfire Classics to be exact because of the whitewall. This was early Friday morning. Receives an email friday afternoon that my items were availible to pick up. However due to work I couldnt get out there till today (sunday) upon arriving I was met with a lady at the counter who was not very polite. I told her I was there to pick up an online order and she preceeded to tell me she didnt know what I had ordered and that the ready for pick up email was generic and didnt mean anything.I explained it was for two whitewall 215/70/15 that the website showed as in stock. She then said they hadnt carried whitewalls for years.Thankfully a nice gentleman came to the aid and manages to locate the 2 tires and canceled the online purchase and charged me a lower price then the website.Will return in the future only because I need 2 more to match. But was not thrilled with the service being the first time in a pep boys store.
I went in a little late around 7:15 (they close at 8:00) and needed 2 tires. I had a long trip the next day fortunately Keith and Nick were able to get me going. They no longer sold the tires I had on my car so I actually ended up getting all 4 tires. They gave me a good deal on the tires. I appreciate the service that these to gave to me.
Awful service. Got a flat tire while driving on the highway pulled off and had no where else to go pulled in and the worker smoking outside told us that they were closed even though it was 5 and they didn’t close till 6. When we asked if we could just use a tire gauge to check our tires he told us that they didn’t have a single pressure gauge in the entire service department. Rude behavior the whole time.
I have had two great experiences at this shop. Both times I needed to get work done on a weekend and they came through ! Very corteous staff and excellent service. I would not hesitate in recommending this shop for car repairs.
I had an appointment to get a state inspection and have 4 tires installed. When I arrived i was told it would take 3 hours to complete the work. What is the point of having an appointment if such simple work takes 3 hours? I will not be going back to Pep Boys in the future.
Ive had mixed interactions here. Their initial labor prices are insane, but they do price match labor if you can get someone to write up a quote (good luck). For a time, I was using them almost exclusively for things they could reasonably do, and thought I had some rapport with the manager at the time as he wasnt forcing me to price match labor again each time I came in over several months. I called in asking for a quote for a job and said to let the manager know who I was, expecting that I might not have to do the run around for labor as i was being given a quote with insane labor costs included again. I was responded to with what equated to a who the hell do you think you are?. Needless to say I have severely reduced my trips to this garage.
I went to have a check engine light service preformed which they advertise as free. Instead they informed me it would cost $80 to determine the problem. So I agreed to pay $80. Then four hours later the said it was just an O2 sensor harness. But that the total for everything was $320. This was because the mechanic could not find the problem and that was not included in the $80 quote. Well I pulled out of the parking lot and the check engine light came on. Contacted the Greensburg store and was told it would require the $80 diagnostic to insure they could find the problem.

I came here to buy a few parts and decided to get my front brakes done as well since they have a $70 rebate, that I never recieved yet since it takes 2 months apparently. also my breaks are squealing more than ever l! I asked the staff, even came back to see if they could fix it since its now worse than before and they told me to break them in like they are a new pair of shoes and proceed to tell me they can fix it if I buy new rotors. No way would I spend an extra $300 here. terrible service, wouldnt recommend to anyone
I was well treated by a very pleasant and patient salesman who set me up with tires that that were priced within my budget limitations. It was the second set of tires I have purchased from them this month. Their carry out tire pricing is 20% 30% cheaper than any other dealer in the area.
Charging more than 115$ hr to work on a vehicle... More than any other shop anywhere! Even actual dealerships.. Your part could be 5$ but you will be paying like 300$ in labor... Do yourself a favor and take it to a dealership if need be its cheaper.. In fact anywhere else.. The best is looking through the window and not seeing anyone work on your vehicle for more than 40min...but still getting charged
Had my mom come here to get new tires and inspection. After putting new tires on they said the vehicle failed safety inspection since it needs new brakes and rotors all the way around. They quoted the brake job for over $1000. Next day I pull the wheels. Front pads are at 7/32, rears are 9/32, and rotors look fine. Needless to say I will never come back here again. Place is not bad for just getting tires but they sell you work you dont need.

Thank you to Bruce, Rick and Al at Pep Boys in Greensburg!! My wife and daughter were headed out to go on college tours. Greensburg is 5 hours west of us. The alternator died in our Subaru and the only option on Sunday was to go to Pep Boys. I have had bad experiences with the Pep Boys near my home, so I was not confident that the service would be any better.I was truly mistaken! The staff at this store did everything possible to get the car done as quick as possible. They did not have the part in stock, so unfortunately my wife and daughter had to find a hotel and wait for the morning. These guys gave them a ride to hotel and even offered to pick them up the next morning! The car was done by noon the next day as promised, and they were on their way!Being 5 hours away, I was glad that these guys were there and looked after them.Update! These guys strike again! 3 years later... My daughter now attends a college near this pep boys.. she had an issue with her Jeep Liberty.. my best bet was that it was the Alternator.. we had it towed to Pep Boys using one of their providers. It turns out it was just a loose battery terminal. I drove 5 hours to help my daughter deal with the car, and Doug was super helpful.. knowing that I drove all that way he squeezed me into his very busy schedule. Once again, this Pep Boys saved the day..

They were great. Traveling alone with my 2 young kids, we broke down on the turnpike a few weeks ago. Had the car towed to Pep Boys, where they found parts and completed repairs in just a couple of hours for a fair price. The car, which was undriveable when it got to their shop, hasnt had a problem since. Everyone at Pep Boys in Greensburg that I spoke with was competent, friendly, and efficient. Everything you could ask for, and given the circumstances, I feel very lucky that we found them, instead of another place that could have taken advantage of our situation.

I had to get a muffler for my car, which PepBoys had in stock. However, I forgot to bring a $100 gift card that I had at home. Stephanie at PepBoys was able to get my information and take off the $100. After leaving, my wife texted me an additional 15% off coupon that was also at home. Stephanie told me to bring back my receipt and she would take off the extra 15%, which was another $20 savings. I was very happy with how courteous the team was at PepBoys and the excellent service provided by Stephanie in making sure I saved as much as I could. Great job!
They charged to align my front tires, Subaru, but never did. Finally admitted they didnt have the tool to do it. Refused to refund the extended warranty alignment. Said they did the best they could. TOTAL RIP OFF!!

I looked online for tires that were cheaper (my car is a lease and I turn it in, in March). Found 3 that I needed that were in stock on the website and called to verify that they were the ones that they had. The employee had me hold while he checked and we confirmed that they were the ones I ordered online. Well guess what, they told me they weren’t the ones and tried to sell me tires that $70 more a tire!!!! What a waste of time.

Very bad service. If I could give 0 stars I would. I called them up telling the employee on the phone that I needed my cars transmission fluid checked. I explained there was no dipstick under the hood to check it and the only way to get to it was underneath the vehicle. They told me to come out and there would be no charge to check it, 15 minutes later when I get there they tell me there is nobody there to check it. Ill make sure I go to Walmart for now on.

I came in on a Sunday evening after-hours with 2 blown tires that needed replaced. The mechanic and manager stayed over an hour late to make sure that I got the tires onto the car. You cant ask for better service than that! My only issue is that I dont live in the area to make this my only shop!

On January 9th, 2017 at 9:41am I finally received a phone from Max, the service manager at the Greensburg Pepboys, and Mark Lowery, the area director. This was three months after the original repairs were made, on October 11th, 2016. I was on that phone call for 43 minutes. Towards the end of that call I ended up breaking down crying because I felt interrogated, attacked, unheard, and more. The last 20 minutes of the conversation I was being attacked about if I stated I “knew” there was a transmission problem, I stated, no I’m not a mechanic so I didn’t know there was, it was merely AAMCO’s opinion and I didn’t fully trust that since they only read my codes and test drove it. I was asked if I precisely said something to Max and I stated, no I didn’t say that exactly and proceeded with what I did say. I was repeatedly asked these same questions over and over and then told I said a minute ago I didn’t say that but now you are saying you did. I was constantly repeating myself. When Max stated I had only came up there for a diagnostic because my engine light was on is completely untrue since I already knew what the codes read when I took my vehicle up to Autozone on August 5th, which I have paperwork proving that. Also, I was told that I never mentioned that the reason I brought it up to Pepboys was for the “shaking/shuddering” until later upon picking my vehicle up which is also false since the mechanic stated upon pickup that “HE wasn’t told of the shaking until later” and makes no sense because I have proof from paperwork of me taking it up to AAMCO that the reason I took it to AAMCO was for “shaking/shuddering in 2nd and 3rd gear all the time” on October 4th. It seemed like all those points were ignored once they were aware that the possibility of a transmission problem was presented to me before I took my vehicle to Pepboys and even though I ended up speaking about all the previous work that was done (since I bought it recently from a private seller and thought that to be important), being Pytlaks, Autozone, and AAMCO, it was still my fault because, according to Max, I never mentioned what AAMCO had told me. At the very end of the call I was told that I would be contacted again after “some more consideration” by Mr. Lowery later that week on my request of a full refund by Wednesday January 11th, 2017 or Thursday January 12th, 2017. Here I am on Monday, January 23rd, 2017 and have still not received said phone call. I mentioned during that phone call with Mr. Lowery that I felt as if I was being “shooed away” as if they didn’t want to be a problem anymore at the Greensburg Pepboys and again in the sense that it took 3 months to finally have the opportunity to be heard and was told, “that is definitely not true”, but yet you have again proven my point. On October 5th, 2016 I called in to the Greensburg Pepboys to ask what all was involved with a diagnostic. I was asked what made me want to have it done and I mentioned I am concerned about my vehicle shaking/shuddering in the 2nd and 3rd gears when trying to accelerate, but if I pushed thru the gear at a faster rate I can bypass the lingering shaking and it is worse going uphill and in neighborhoods. I told the gentleman that I had taken it to be looked at 3 other places, one a local mechanic who suggested ignition coils, Autozone to have the engine light codes read and they stated catalytic converters and oxygen sensors, and AAMCO where they stated probably the torque converter. He then proceeded to tell me that the diagnostic involves checking a long list of various things with vehicle and once they have done so they can isolate the problem and suggest repairs. I was told the diagnostic was going to be $89.99, but if I decide to go ahead with the suggested repairs then that fee would be waived. I went ahead and scheduled the appointment. That phone call lasted 8 minutes. I dropped my vehicle off on Oct. 11th to have the diagnostic done. I called at 8:46am to verify it was received. CONTD...
This is the third time here for oil change and everytime my car had come back to me with something not put nack on right( oil pan cover, busted mud flap). Very disappointed.
Exceptionally helpful service following breakdown on a Sunday afternoon. Mechanics and manager stayed after closing time to diagnose problem, repair, and assist. Repairs got us home safely. Thank you all very much!!
