The housing on my 1994 60hp Mercury outboard trim motor reservoir cracked over the winter due to condensation. I brought the boat in to have it repaired and get the engine serviced. I left it while they checked on parts. I received a call from James a short time later and was told Mercury no longer sold the part individually and I had to buy the entire ram, pump and trim motor quoting $1200 for the unit and $200 to install. I asked him if there was ANY alternatives. He said not unless you can find a used one at a junkyard or something. I reluctantly agreed to the repair and returned home. That night I googled replacement pumps and found a new aftermarket reservoir and motor for $117. I went back the next morning when they opened and cancelled the work order and retrieved my boat. I installed the pump myself but the ram wouldnt hold the engine trimmed. I called Bobs Marine Service and Bob told me what he suspected the problem was. Told me to pull the unit and how to do it and bring it in. I brought it to him the next morning and he replaced the manual release stem and bench tested it. $100 and I was on my way. Took my boat out yesterday. Works great!$217 total. Bobs has a new customer...

Wallace Marine has outstanding service. We bought a few jet skis from Wallace Marine, which they dont normally sell. They made sure they were looked over from top to bottom and serviced before they ever left the lot. I would recommend them to anyone as theyll go out of their way to help you with whatever you need.

Motor was not responding to throttle control, would not idle. Service rebuild carburetors, they also fixed an electrical problem and replaced water pump immpeller. Everything is running great. They got it fixed by the time I needed it for my next fishing trip. Thanks guys

Im not sure yet, spent over a thousand dollars the first visit. Got about 4 hours on the lake before having to paddle my boat to the docs and load it up and cancel the rest of the fun vacation for our kids and grandkids visiting from back east. Then next another $300+ to have the carbs rebuilt. Ill give a higher rating if it actually works this time.

If I could give them negative stars I would. I took my 1984 mercury 115 hp for maintenance and I think they screwed up everything possible. They told me they couldnt repair it because of wore out wires and was told that the wire harness I needed wasnt made any more.. That I can understand. I got it back and started working on it. I replaced the wore out wires myself after I found the wire harness online. So strike number 1. I got it running and took it to the lake. There I found out they didnt tighten the spark plugs after they took them out. They stripped some bolts so I couldnt get them out. Totally screwed up everything.
