Cakabakery is the best in town! They catered cupcakes and a personal cake for our wedding. We had the following flavors that were literally the most delicious tasting cakes ever: Strawberry Champagne, Sweet Potato, Cookie Dough and Vanilla. It was tough to narrow down what flavors we wanted for our wedding. All of our guests were so impressed by the taste and freshness of their cupcakes! Would highly recommend!

This gem is not ready to spot from the street, but its worth searching out. There are the most delicious gluten free cupcakes Ive ever had. They are better than any regular cupcake Ive tasted before I developed a wheat allergy. My daughters wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. The guests raved!

The vegan cupcake (carrot) left an unpleasant lingering taste in my mouth. I couldn’t bring myself to continue eating it or pretend. It was overly sweet as well. My husband got a gluten free cupcake and a regular red velvet cupcake and he thought the texture was off for both cupcakes and thought overall they weren’t good as well.Update: I decided to add a photo of the vegan carrot cupcake with cream cheese frosting that we purchased at cakabakery in Grand Rapids, MI.

Some of the best desserts I’ve had. The cookies are cooked perfectly. Recently ordered a cake for my daughter’s birthday (Neapolitan cake with strawberry frosting ). They were very responsive and great to work with. The cake and frosting were delicious and it was a beautifully done cake. Would definitely order from there again. Very impressed with this bakery and I’ve gone to a lot of bakeries in Grand Rapids and the surrounding areas.

We decided to use Cakabakery for our wedding dessert and are thrilled with our decision! Their cake was a huge hit at our wedding. Our guests continued to tell us how much they enjoyed the cake even weeks after the wedding was over! Our semi naked chocolate and vanilla buttercream wedding cake turned out beautiful and delicious. Our guests LOVED the confetti cake. We also received several comments about how delicious and moist the vegan berry cake was! We were pleasantly surprised at the amount of comments we received from our guests about the cake and we’re grateful to Cakabakery for helping to give our guests a good experience at our wedding.

My feelings are still hurt about my wedding on 7/11/21. This vendor was in the preferred handbook for Bay Pointe Inn weddings so that gave me comfort with entrusting them with my most important and once in a lifetime day. However, on that day I was left disappointed. On 6/30 I dropped off materials needed for the cake and checked with the woman baker at the front to make sure my drop off time was 6pm. She let me know the time was already noted on my paperwork. I wanted the cake delivered during the cocktail hour just in case it was a hot day due to the reception being outside. The final cake flavors were sent on 6/28 and then reiterated on 7/5 to make sure it was fresh in their memories and there was no issues. They had responded to multiple emails after that so I thought everything had been noted.Fast forward to the wedding day. We just finished our beautiful ceremony and we are greeted by our wedding coordinator offering my husband and I a drink. She did not let me know but handed my husband the drink and let him know at 6:15pm that the wedding cake had not yet arrived. The best man tried calling and it went to voicemail because they are closed on the weekends. The wedding coordinator finally lets me know what is going on 10 minutes later. At this time we are supposed to be taking group photos while everyone is at cocktail hour but my husband and I were burdened with figuring out the cake. At this time the wedding coordinator lets us know her team is going out to buy sheet cakes. I begin to stress and have my father look for my phone so I can send an email and pray to get in contact with them. While my father is trying to find my phone in the hotel room the cake finally arrives almost 40 minutes late. It arrives with a man speed walking our cake to the reception area outside and the cake was assembled and uncovered. The man was in and out in less than a minute before someone could speak to him. In addition, we missed out on almost a hour of photo time and our photographer is $150 a hour for her services.To add injury to insult the cake cutting time arrives. My husband and I proceed to cut the cake and I instantly see the bottom tier is the incorrect flavor. My face could not hide the disappointment so my husband knew something was wrong. He reminds me to smile because there are multiple cameras catching this moment. Trying to play it off we feed each other the cake and it tasted like it could be the cinnamon vanilla which was supposed to be our anniversary top tier. Our wedding cake was supposed to be strawberry cream cheese for the 10 inch tier, 8 inch was strawberry champagne and the 6 inch was supposed to be red velvet. Only the 8 inch tier was correct for the guests. The 6 inch ended up being strawberry champagne also. On our wedding menus we had our wedding cake flavors listed so guests were asking to be served red velvet and were disappointed to find out there was no red velvet. The guests hated the cinnamon vanilla layer which was the largest tier. At a wedding the cake is something you want guests to rave about but us and the guests were left disappointed.I give them a call and the person on the phone immediately starts apologizing. I explain the cake arrived late and he proceeds to tell me that there was construction and normally cakes are delivered 5 hours prior to the ceremony. However, time had been discussed for weeks and it was never mentioned that it would be an issue. In addition, we live in MI and we all know that construction is done heavily in the summer months nor should that be a concern of mines for a cake that was almost $500. We then discuss the flavors and he tries to convince me the tiers were correct and changed colors due to fruit. I explained they were not and asked how could I be compensated for the issues. He only offered me $115 for bottom tier and said he felt that was generous but half of the cake was incorrect. I took what I could get and decided to never do business with them again. Very disappointing experience on a very important day.

I had the vegan Oreo cupcake (it was the only option today) and it was absolutely delicious! It’s probably the best cupcake I’ve had as a vegan.. keep in mind I’ve been to over 30 countries and I have a huge sweet tooth! The staff was also very nice. I felt very good vibes and warmth inside the tiny bakery. I hope to work somewhere like this one day! I do wish they had more vegan options but it was delicious nonetheless!

I have only ever gotten the cookies here but they are some of the best Ive ever had! The seem to always have a chocolate chunk but then normally have 2-3 other kinds that seem to vary with the season. They are crunchy on the edges but soft in the middle. I mean do I need to say more? ... 🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪

My daughter and I were looking for the perfect birthday cake for my wife surprise birthday party and we funded it at Cakabakery! From the moment we walked into the (old) store, we were welcomed like we were old returning customers. The cake designer sat down with us and drew ideas of what we wanted and made great suggestion. I ordered 50 cake pops for a baby shower and they were amazing everyone loved them. Only gave 4/5 because they stacked cake pops on top of each other instead of using a bigger box.

We used Cakabakery for our wedding cake and gluten free cupcakes! Their cake tasting was great and they were so friendly and flexible about it (we had to do a from home tasting due to schedule) and their flavor options were more exciting than other shops we tried! We loved how our cake turned out and our gluten free guests couldnt get enough of the cupcakes! Communicating with them wasnt quite the easiest (the only reason this isnt a 5 star review) but I just hope its something they can work on and it shouldnt deter anyone from using them!

A wedding I coordinated recently chose Cakabakery for their desserts and the guests could not have been more pleased! The 3-tiered cake was immaculate and exactly what the bride wanted. The cupcakes and cookies were delicious and unique. There were guests sneaking cookies into bags to take home since they were so delicious!!! Jason was on site to set up and he was friendly and efficient. I could not recommend Cakabakery more highly!

Extremely disappointed in the service we received today. I had a mask on that covered my nose AND went under my chin. There was absolutely no reason we should not be allowed inside. The worst part for me was being publicly embarrassed when I was wearing a mask! Also, the woman who helped us talked to us as we looked through everything and waited until the very end as I was about to select what I wanted to buy and then decided to tell me I wasn’t allowed to be served if I didn’t put on one of their masks. I was horrified and left immediately trying to hold back the tears from being treated so wrongfully. I was a kind customer that was driven away by cancel culture. So sad and disappointed today! Please put more clear rules on your door about what specific masks are allowed so patrons know before entering if they are welcome.

Cakabakery is fantastic! The cake artists here made a fantastic cake for my daughters graduation along with cupcakes. Everything was delicious, but the centerpiece cake was the talk of the event! Jason and his crew will never disappoint!

I walked in for the first time to buy an assortment of cupcakes and experienced a delightfully cute space and a warm and friendly staff. They threw in a chocolate chunk cookie for me to try (😭 so nice!) and let me tell you... I don’t eat a lot of sweets, but I. will. Be. Back. For that dang cookie. Beyond heavenly. I could make ten times better. I wish I had a better review for them but the carrot cake cupcake I had was dry and I almost choked. The chocolate cupcake I had was very moist and delicious so I will give them that. I just dont see what they are doing as unique or special.

Delicious cookies and cupcakes. We seen them in the area for a while but havent been able to stop by until now as they are closed Mondays. The odd hours dont matter though, because theyre worth going to on the days theyre open. They had three different kinds of cookies as well as several flavors of cupcakes available for immediate purchase. The only negative comment I have is that the texture and flavor of the vegan cupcakes were not up to the standard set by their other products. Ill definitely be going back for more cookies and non-vegan cupcakes.

My wife and I just had Cakabakery cakes, cupcakes, and cookies for our wedding and everything was so delicious! This place has horrible customer service. I tried ordering a cake (just to serve 20 ppl not an elaborate cake) nearly 5 weeks in advance and after they strung me along via email for 2 weeks, they then said they were too booked for that weekend. I was emailing with them regarding the order and they never mentioned the date being an issue until after two weeks into the conversation. I had to email 3 times and call and leave messages which is what took the two weeks in the first place. They aren’t open or don’t answer when you call there so it’s difficult to speak with anyone to get your order solidified. Apparently, business is too good, they are turning away costumers.

While I absolutely love the cakes they make (delicious!), service has been terrible. For the second year running, I have requested an order up and did not hear anything; until I contacted again. Last year I was able to make it into the store and service, once there, was great in ordering. Unfortunately I had requested an extra cupcake to be made for my sons smash cake and they forgot to do that... not to mention I had spent hundreds of dollars on the other cakes I had bought. They did offer a free cupcake which was nice but it wasnt in the style of the party :(. This year Im still waiting for an e-mail back from them ... like i said i really loved the cakes last year, but youd think when you are spending > 100-200$ on a cake, theyd be more responsive.

We absolutely love Cakabakery. Jason and his team produce great cupcakes ( Im sure other baked goods. We have only tried the cupcakes). They provided cupcakes for our wedding and worked with us to incorporate KBS since we live bourbon barrel aged beer.

Visited GR for our first time ever, and I can never leave a city without finding a cup/cake shop! A quick google search brought us here right before it closed for the day, and were so glad it did! First of all, great name. Second of all, I have never had a better chocolate chip cookie. Like that cookie alone is amazing. I will drive all the way here for that cookie. Cupcakes and other deserts are just as good, everything here is worth s try. Very cute place.

I used this bakery for my wedding and I wasnt really impressed. Okay, my first initial interaction with the bakery was very pleasant. All the people Ive worked with were very nice and sweet. But as the time went on the bakery was very bad at contacting me and I had to do all the initiating of the conversations. I sent several pictures of my colors and the look I was going for. Well, when it came time to pick up my cake the colors were all wrong. Apparently all the pictures I sent were not helpful and they went off the paper they printed out and their printer was out of ink and printed out all the wrong colors. They never wrote down that my order was paid for and I had to prove that I paid three times and even after that they were still unsure. My cupcakes were not at the shop when I went to pick them up because they sent them somewhere else, and on top of that they cupcakes were way tinier than I anticipated( I wish they would of informed me of the size because I was under the impression they would be the size of the ones in the window). When I voiced my concern to one of the managers he at first tried to argue with me about the color and tell me that this was the color I requested and finally he gave in and said they would try to fix it. We also tried reaching them five different times and they never answered and eventually we had to drive back to the bakery. And this was all the day before my wedding. Everything tastes amazing though so maybe I was just a little unlucky with how the whole thing transpired.

Wedding cake...the taste was terrific. Though given pictures of the type of design wanted, what was sent was extremely bare. They didnt even provide stem covers for flowers as promised. Too bad, because I saw pictures of some of their cakes and they do have capable designers, just took a big short cut on the design of our wedding cake. I would recommend you have the opportunity to preview the actual cake before the event if its important with this bakery.

Absolutely love the Cakabakery! The chocolate chip cookies almost elicit some kind of euphoria for me. The cupcakes are creative and taste excellent. I dont find their products too sweet, which is a huge plus. The staff are better than the food they serve, which is really saying a lot. Alex always has a smile on her face and is extremely helpful and the owner is very courteous and seems to love what he does, and it shows in the eats. I am planning on having them cater my wedding, just so others can experience it too!

Purchased 6 dairy free chocolate raspberry cupcakes for $20.00. Cupcakes were small and dry. The raspberry part seemed to be the frosting because the cupcakes themselves didn’t have any raspberries in them. Very disappointed as were the other 4 people who ate one.

If you want to try to contact a bakery THREE times (by phone and filling out the request sheet they make you fill out) and never hear back, this is the bakery to contact. Very rude to do to customers when they are trying to find a bakery. Its common courtesy to get back to your customers so that they can find another bakery in time. However, if you do want a great place to make a cake...contact Sprinkles in Hudsonville. Delicious and beautiful cakes and better yet, they get back to you right away!

Made my cheese cake in a flash plus they thought I looked like a celebrity so that made me feel special.

This place was amazing!! Was a little sad they didnt have a ton of selection of pasteries, but with a menu of cupcakes that changed every day you cant go wrong. But every single cupcake we tried tasted just as they said they would and didnt disappoint! Will for sure go back!

Our wedding cake was perfect! The tasting was a really fun way to order the cake we wanted, and when it finally came to the big day we were not disappointed! Several guests shared it was the best wedding cake they had EVER had! I agree! Yum! Thank you Cakabakery!

The cookies are to die for. So good and always friendly staff. My favorite guilty pleasure.
