Bought balloons from party city. Below is the pic of what my fiancé woke up to less than 24 hours after they had been filled. Sad as for $17 balloons it cost $45 by the time I paid for them to be filled. Questioning if the $45 got me helium at least, myself and my fiancé breathed in air from one of the balloons and our voice did not change. With this being said, not sure what I paid $45 for; however, I would highly recommend you steer clear of this establishment!

Placed an on-line, curbside pickup, paid and then received a call saying “they” sent them the wrong item and they do not have the one I ordered in stock. I was in the store earlier asking about the item and was told by an employee that the item was probably in the back of his car because he hasn’t had time to unpack things.

Went here for my fathers 60th birthday balloons and some supplies. Then came back 2 weeks later for my nieces birthday balloons. I love how they tie the balloons together displaying every single balloon. Staff was nice and helpful.

Unfortunately Richard seems to be so worried about the order or manner in which his workers help the customers that he forgets how unprofessional it is to raise his voice and reprimand them in front of literally everyone in the store multiple times. I watched his employees be incredibly helpful and patient my entire visit and even experienced it myself. If he had a problem with something he saw the professional way to handle it would be to go to a private space and handle it in an adult manner. Instead the whole store listened to him berate another grown man with zero respect for far too long only to bring it up a second time and do it again at the front of the store with a long line of people to listen. His behavior was disgusting. I feel like I spent my entire visit listening to him from aisles over. It’s not his coworkers that were unprofessional or affected the customers’ experience it was him.

They have a good variety of party supplies, but had a negative experience with the staff. Rude to me when we arrived to pick up order. The order was ready for pick-up, but the store had just opened and when I called they werent ready.

The website says you can buy your own balloons and they will fill them. When we brought them in they said they dont fill balloons because of covid (this is in November. Over 6 months into the pandemic). Update your website, accurate information is important, especially in 2020.

Need to update their policy on blowing up balloons. Wouldn’t take a sealed package because it wasn’t purchased there. Thanks for nothing. Also if you’re employee is going to enforce COVID policies they probably should follow their own COVID policy.

Im not saying that this place doesnt have almost everything you would need for a party, however if youre looking for items for a zombie party or The Walking Dead you will find nothing.

This place has taken my money for the last time. I went in yesterday to get balloons and their were 10 people ahead of me and one person working at a snails pace. I left and came back today. The same girl was working and was incredibly rude. I have worked in costumer service and get how hard it can be but the behavior in this instance was completely rediculous. Never again.

Service is none exsitence

We ordered some large number balloons and they got the order wrong (wrong size and color). Also bought a dozen regular balloons at 8pm and by mid day the balloons were laying on the floor - so their helium mix is diluted in some way. Aside from that, everything is twice the price as it should be. If you have a unique party supply need they may come in handy, but it’s going to be overpriced.

There’s a Guy Named Travis that works at party City in Grand Rapids Michigan he is without a doubt the kindest best salesman ever !!! Travis is the reason I wouldn’t shop for balloons or party supply anywhere else except party city in Grand Rapids !

Was in LAST week, bought a tutu and some net stockings and I lost the receipt. Havent worn anything or even taken it out of package. My plans got canceled so I dont need this anymore and they refuse to let me return it without a receipt. Girl was rude on the phone when I asked, and when I bought the stuff the cashier was rude. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Will not be going to Party City in GR anymore, and I will let it be know to everyone. Thanks for nothing PC.

I had an issue with an online order not processing due to Party City headquarters/corporate site being down and not letting my order through, not the store itself. I called the store manager, Gerald, a few times and he was always so gracious in telling me they had not received my order yet but would call me as soon as they did. I finally got my order number but not a confirmation email. I decided to just go in the store after not hearing back for awhile; luckily Gerald was there and helped me with everything I needed. He printed off a receipt and ensured that as soon as he got the order, he would mark it as paid. He then went through the store with me and picked out all of my items. I truly haven’t met a nicer store manager and I will be bringing all of my business to this location, even though it’s the furthest from my house.

They did and provided everything I needed for my nieces birthday.

Wanted baby shark decorations and they were almost completely gone. We them decided on a different theme and stood in line for 15 mins. There were only 2 people in front of us. It was very slow to checkout.

Yesterday (4-10-18) I stopped at the Party City at 9:00 a.m. A young lady opened the door and told me they didnt open until 9:30. I told her the website said 8:30, she said on Saturdays. I told her Richard had some balloons for me to pick up and told her my name. She then told another gentlemen that was also working. He gave her permission to allow me to come in from the cold. Once inside he asked me the name on my order and I gave it to him and explained that Richard donated the balloons to me for an event were having at work. He didnt even blink, he immediately took care of me. He was so courteous and nice to me and got the 12 balloons for me like I was a paying customer. I was so taken with him I asked him his name. He told me it was Gerald. I want you all to know what a nice man Gerald is and his hospitality, customer service skills are on Point! I will come back again but this time Ill be there during store hours. Party City has it going on with folks like Gerald working for them. Oh and may I not forget how nice Richard is for donating the balloons to us again this year. For the last two years our Faculty Showcase has been AWESOME, primarily due to Richard helping us to make our event look so festive. I love working with Party City folks!

I wish the store wasnt so pricey, but they have a ton of great options for things I needed. Im hosting a baby shower and was able to get a lot of fun decorating things here, and it was great. They also have a large selection of balloons which is much better than the dollar store. The staff was very friendly and the store looked clean.

Planning a party? Well if you cant find what you need here I dont know where youll find it. They have just about everything I can imagine to host a great party and at wonderful prices.I just ran in for the first time to grab a couple gift bags. Found a beautiful variety for $1.00 each. Cant beat that.I only wish my kids were still young and I did birthday parties. There is so much fun to be had in this store.

This store definitely has everything you need for a party, however, I have gone into this location multiple times and every time I ask the staff for help finding a product, they always seem way too busy to take the time to walk me over to what I am looking for. I understand that retail can get very busy at times, but there is so much inventory in this store, it is really difficult to find things. To anyone going into this store, make sure that a staff member walks you over to the product you are looking for otherwise you will spend a substantial amount of time looking for the product.

They dont gift wrap, and the store is very understaffed, Im not even sure that the prices are all that competative.

Call it candy city, it has changed a lot! Product is making its way to the ceiling. All in all still the best place to go for any party products.

If I could rate this 0 stars, I would. I was about to leave, and two young black women entered the store. The cashier used her headset to say we have a possible (number) entering aisle 3. I left the store, put my things in my car, and entered again. It is important to note that this woman did not say this same thing when I entered the store, or any other white people. Anyways, I walked back in and told the girls what happened. They asked the cashier, the cashier rolled her eyes and called a manager up. I asked to speak to a manager, and he was VERY rude to the black women, telling them they need to leave. I told him that the issue was regarding how they were treated, and he still refused to speak to them. They left, and I told him what I had witnessed. He CLEARLY lied and said that they say the code when everyone comes in, the code just means to greet someone. I did NOT see this happen with ANY of the white people entering the store, including myself. This was blatant racial profiling, and it has been reported to the corporate office.

Most things here are cheap and overpriced. I usually end up going here anyways for the last few party or costumes things I need on my list when I dont have time to order online. But if you have time, you can pretty much find anything there online for a better price with the same quality or better.

Every time I go here I am quickly reminded how much I hate this store. What cashier greets you by saying email address no hello or anything.

Party City has a lot of cool costuming pieces and the various accessories to make birthday parties better. There are multiple offerings for party decorations. During halloween they carry a nice assortment. They are a little bit expensive and the staff is not always helpful. The several times that Ive been there the employees try to pass you off on to somebody else when you have a question and dont really help you. To be fair Im not sure if its because the register employees are supposed to just be up there checking people out and if you have questions they are supposed to send you to the floor people. But regardless sometimes the employees are not very helpful.

Well stocked cheap trinkets with a heavy price mark-up. Useful for getting small, last minute items. Customer service is pretty poor. I was walking in this morning, the door wide open as maintenance crews were working on the doorway, and the manager brusquely stopped me at the door and held up seven fingers. “Seven minutes,” he said, straddling the doorway like I was going to try to juke past him or something. The store was well staffed at that point and he could have let me in and said something like, “Hey, we don’t open until 9:30, so you can’t checkout until then, but feel free to shop around in the meantime.” Instead I had to sit in my car for seven more minutes, spend several minutes walking around their store looking for what I need, and spend another ten minutes in line just to get two small items. Like I said, the store has its uses, but the prices and poor service make this a last minute, last resort place for me.

I havent been impressed with the staff recently, but selection is good.

I went into the store for my daughter to pick up balloons for a surprise 40th birthday party. I was the seventh person in line at the cash register. Another employee was sitting on the floor placing balloons in the proper compartments. Finally she got up after about 15 minutes and asked if I could be helped. I told her I was there picking up balloons for my daughter for a surprise 40th birthday party. She asked what the name was and I told her. She said she did not have that name but asked what the phone number was for the order. I told her and she said she found it but the area code was entered wrong. She was going to hand me the balloons but I told her my daughter had paid to have them wrapped. She asked the person at the cash register what she should do. The person stated wrap them.The surprise birthday party was at a bar and 34 people were coming. 10 minutes before it was to start I brought the balloons in and my daughter asked where is the second bag. I said this is all they gave me. She then opened the bag and the half order stated Happy Graduation! My daughter called the store and they could not deliver. It was miles away and impossible to drive there. She said to get reimbursed she must bring in the email receipt and charge card. Yesterday (Sunday) I entered the store and after another 15 minute wait in line the person that waited on me the day before waited on me. She said I will have to call the manager. The manager (Amy) arrived and hardly said anything.The lady next to me stated she had a cake decorating business and hated coming into the store but there was no other competition in town. As I was leaving she said to the manager you better apologize to this gentleman. The manager then said I am sorry. I will never go in that store again. Their customer service is nonexistent.

The 28th St Grand Rapids, MI Party City is by far THE worst party supply store in the state! The staff are very rude and are not helpful consistently every time I go in there! I will never shop there again!

Went in for a tutu and I was looking all over for a black on. I watched an associate put one on the back wall. Seen that it was 9.99 and got excited at the cheap price. Went up front and had to argue with someone named Richard. He said customers put items all over. My associates wouldnt do that I LITERALLY WATCHED HER DO IT! Way to call and customer a liar Richard. I understand you have people that scam you all the time but seriously learn some manners.

First visit to this store.. called looking for a santa suit..called before going, the lil gal on the phone awnsered all my questions. we got there and they had exactly what I was looking for and so much more.. I stopped at this store after my trip to Aldi. I already had my 3 children (one infant in and infant car seat) in the cart from Aldi, so instead of getting them out of one cart and putting them in another, I brought the Aldi cart into Party City. The woman at the door was very nice and directed me where to go. I asked if it was a problem for me to have the Aldi cart in the store and she said it was no problem at all. I got what I was looking for and made my way to the check out. As I feared the line, an employee (who I assume to be the manager) looked at me as I was clearly struggling to make a tight turn into the line and said very loudly Yea, dont try to fit an Aldi cart into MY store! Then he walked up to the register. Clearly I had my hands full with my 3 children and instead of offering to help me get a cart from his store, he just yelled at me in front of a line of people.The point is, some employees there are nice, but others are total jerks.

I cant go in here without finding the best party supplies. A bit pricey on some things, but you can also find things you didnt know you needed.

They do have a lot of options, but unfortunately did not have anything for the character theme I was looking for for my sons 2nd birthday.
