They were amazing helping my friend and I find what we needed, asking if we needed help, and all around a great college bookstore. The selection and well maintained and organized atmosphere made it a 5 star experience.

The Grand Rapids CC Bookstore is always a good place to get schoolbooks, writing supplies, snacks, and even some gifts as well. I would recommend asking about financial aid if you are using financial aid to see what financial aid covers and what it doesnt.

I was not at the bookstore. I ordered my books online and received them in about 1 week. I had visited GRCC to pickup my Raider card. I encountered a couple nice people will there. There is construction taking place.

Staff is friendly. However it would be very helpful to have some baskets or something while coming in to shop. I kept dropping my stuff so I had to stop shopping and put my items on the counter before I could continue shopping for other items I need for classes.

Third party company unrelated to GRCC, and so, unsurprisingly unhelpful. Im sure its the managements fault and not the staff, but the company is awful with returns and refunds. The prices range from medium to completely absurd and if you sell them a book you bought for 300 they will buy it back for 30. Theres not much thats more shameful than nickel and diming broke community college students.

Staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable. They dont follow you around and after the greeting they dont ask alot of question. However if you seem confuse (like i was 😂) theyll ask can i help you find anything?

Picked up my books that I pre-ordered online, which was fairly quick and painless. They also purchased back one of my books from last semester for about 50% of its original price, which wasnt too bad. I went on a weekday after work hoping to avoid the chaos of the weekend. The lines were fairly short and the staff helpful. All in all I was out the door in 45 minutes.

I went here today to return two books and to talk about supplies I needed for the upcoming fall semester. Since it says on google that they close at 6pm and I haven’t gotten any emails with time change I got there at 4:01pm. The only thing that said it was closed at 4 was the sign on the door. Very unprofessional, I don’t have a lot of time to waste and with online classes I wasn’t looking for a lot. When I got there an older lady held up four fingers on her hand and then ignored me. I pointed to my books that I had to return and she pretended to talk to an employee there. Finally I got the attention of someone working there and she told me “we closed at 4”. I told her I just have books to return. If you’re gonna be closed at a new time update your times, and don’t expect everyone to know when it’s closed if it’s only on the door. It was very rude and I’ve checked over the grcc website, here on google and my grcc emails and it still says nothing of the time change.

They are short with you when doing book buybacks. Only accepted 2 out of the 6 books I bought from them, told me since they updated them they wont buy them back, even though they are less then 1 year old.

My daughter rented a book and we went out of our way months ago during the pandemic to return the book so she would not be charged. Over two months later Grcc without authorization or notification took 208.29 out of her checking account causing it to overdraft for this book that we returned. DO NOT LET GRCC HAVE YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION AND IF USING A DEBIT/ CREDIT CARD MAKE SURE YOU USE A PREPAID ONE SO THEY CANNOT UNETHICALLY GO INTO YOUR ACCOUNT AND CAUSE FINANCIAL DEVASTATION. She now needs to cancel her debit card and close her account and was charged 209.28 for a book she returned plus hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees. Grcc won’t return our phone calls or answer emails to refund the money they stole. Cindy Most The book store manager was personally handed this book By my daughter. Cindy Most filled out the return form in front of us.

They were horrible and rude this is the second year they have screwed me out of a hundred dollars I recommend chegg for all your book buying needs or YOU WILL LOSE MONEY!!! If you shop here

The staff are sideways very friendly and helpful. The store is always clean when I go in, and other than the checkout area, it is well organized. The check out area has what I believe to be a partition created out of merchandising units that make getting to the registers a little tricky. But it could just be that I start at the wrong end, Im not sure, the whole thing is confusing. But overall, always a pleasant experience picking up books and other school necessities.

Super convenient when you need to buy last minute things like drinks, snacks, or headache medication.Layout is nice, but I would be weary of buying books from ANY book store. A lot of the time they are up charged.

The bookstore staff is GREAT, feel free to ask questions. They are willing to help. However most of the books can be found online cheaper, but you dont know what you are geeting. Go to the bookstore to be safe

They are hammered all the time, feel bad for em. Great service and positive attitudes tho. Only problem is that the labeling system makes it a bit harder to find your books, other than that great place.

The store is extremely functional, the only problem was I chose to go during shift change so I waited a little bit to cash out at the register.

It can be hectic depending on when you visit (worst is start of the semester), but with a little patience someone has always answered my questions or shown me what Ive been looking for. Honestly, Ive never had a bad interaction.

Very friendly and helpful. Quickly in and out they even found the book i needed for me.

They didnt have my textbook in stock that is a GRCC edition so it cant be bought elsewhere. They said itd be back in stock the day after the last day to drop for a full refund. When I went to get one that day they told me it wasnt going to be in stock until after the next week. I have a hard time believing they didnt know it was going to be that long of a wait with how accurate package tracking is these days and just posted an incorrect date to prevent people from dropping the class in time to get their money back.

Helpful people especially as busy as it was, typical college bookstore prices.

A woman who works at the bookstore followed me around the store as if I was gonna steal a book. I’m highly disgusted/offended that she is treating in such a way that makes me feel like a criminal. Not to mention I was the only black shopper in the store so it made me feel discriminated against.

Its a bookstore. What else can you say?Decent staff, wait isnt too bad if you go a couple weeks before school.

Cashiers are friendly and are very helpful if you need help finding a book for a class.

LIFE SAVER! I totally spaced on buying an online kaplan exam at the last minute and they were able to help me out an hour before closing - god sent- thank you so very much!

Buy your books online, unless you absolutely have to. Its not the fault of this particular store that students are required to buy books that have changed in no meaningful fashion in the last 4 editions, but really: it just aint worth it to spend 100 dollars for updated pictures of lightning.

Great place for affordable supplies. Can buy books for class, tech, clothing, and food.

Okay selection of non-book items. Odd that you cannot walk through the stacks and choose your books yourself, I would hate that if I were a student.

You pay a lot for the books and then they want to give you ten dollars when you return it then charge you 180 dollars for it i dont think that is fare
