Yes, I will say it again……Ghetto and TRIFLING!!!! Yes, to the PWT with the mouth behind the counter, the Greeter Midget with the lashes wearing a $10 Baby Onesie and weave that chimed in (I heard her talking but didn’t look down to see who it was) and the rest of the staff standing there….. you are TRIFLING. Their lack of customer service is proof of what can happen when you are not raised with basic manners and decency. Feel like you can disrespect people and then defend it? Not worried about what you have to say behind the counter. Impress me. Learn some manners and respect. Next time come from behind the counter and we can further discuss .

I always go here once in awhile for a specific lipgloss or two. The workers are always super quiet and observant but not particularly rude. It looks like a small store at the entrance but its quite spacious! I dont feel like its super cluttered or anything. A nice place.

Surprisingly, their service was great! The sales girl was very friendly and helpful in finding the products I was looking for. But was so surprising was the owners were patience with me as I decided on what I wanted and informed me about their return policy

I stopped shopping at this dump many years ago! Do yourself a favor and go across the street to youngs beauty supply. It’s smaller but adleast they don’t follow you around!

I have been non there twice in the last month and they are extremely unhelpful. They were more interested in talking amongst themselves than to me. I took my money and went across the street to the tiny overcrowded beauty supply store. At least shes helpful.

Questions regarding products was answered quickly. Availability of various products were easily accessible. Only thing I didnt appreciate was feeling like I was being followed by employees.

My experience was very unpleasant. In the wig section a male employee was very rude. He treated me like I was about to steal. Wouldnt allow me touch the wig. I felt very uncomfortable as he watched me very closely and followed me throughout the section he never asked if I needed help he just took the wig from me and pointed to a hand written sign. I told him the he made my shopping experience very uncomfortable and I will go someplace else. He just said ok. This establishment keeps treating customers like this. Its not right.

I used to go to this beauty supply for any and everything I needed for my hair. Unfortunately about a week ago I went into H & J with my older brother, being from DC my brother has a metro card in his wallet, he walks in and the beeper goes off. He walks out the beeper goes off. Not leaving the store he emptied his pockets and pulls out his metro card. As we continued to shop one of the workers send another work to follow us around the store. So as we are looking at the glasses I look up and see the worker standing directly behind my brother looking over his shoulder. For me to use this store for year and be treated like a pootbutt kid that needs to steal, this upset me pretty bad. So H&J will never get another dime of my money.Support your black businesses. Orientals know nothing about our hair.

They really take the time 2 help u get the right item and go into detail 2 explain the difference between items u want. They are very help.

They do not allow any returns or exchange unless it is with unopened packages of hair. They dont sell nail acrylic brushes, UV gel nail polish, or hair bleach. They have a limited selection of shea moisture products. Prices are okay. They watch you like a hawk to see if your stealing. Better off going to Sallys or Walgreens, were you can return items, no questions asked.

Edit: Have since been inside. Im a man, but they actually have really good prices on Remi Hair, which is the gold standard of hair extensions. Like my first review insisted, great place for Ebonic hair products and mainly hair extension products.

After several issues with racists problems at this store for many years. I see they are trying to get better. They hired black employees and were not following you around the store down every isle. But the owner wasnt present. Hes got it bad with that. When your looking he tend to rush you as if your going to take something and isnt always friendly to people that shop there regularly.

If I could give this store a zero stars I would !!! My cousins and I went in to buy wigs for a concert and they treated us like thieves. Stay away from this place ... go across the street to YOUNGS BEAUTY! They treat the customers WAYYYY better !!!

Never ever will i spend another dollar in this store. Every single time Ive gone there in the past few years, Ive never felt comfortable. From the minute i walk in, to the minute i leave, the cashiers stand behind the counters watching me as if Im about to rob them. Its really degrading. At first i just brushed it off, but it never ended. Ive bought from this store at least 20 times in the past 4years. But enough is enough. Youre in bussiness because of your coustomers the least you can do is treat them with respect!!!

Ok this store has alot of good fair prices here. Be quick about getting in and out of this store they dont want to see customers linger as they seem to have issues with stealing. Note if you dont know or cant find what it is that you NEED ASK rt away as it will aid in suspicions on wondering. If they can get it they CAN order it and at a better price then most in town.

I just get my lashes here...way cheaper than anyplace else forthe same lashes. They have tons of hair extensions and quite a few wigs plus several ethnic haircare products and very reasonable prices.

They have a large amount of items but often follow certain customers around for no good reason. I came with my niece who one worker told another worker follow her when she had no reason to be followed other than her skin color. They do have a large variety of items but how they treat customers is so bad!

This store makes its money off of people that look like me, yet they treat us like we will steal. Every time I go into this store, I am followed and/or watched. Like seriously, your livelihood is possible because of dollars spent by Blacks and other minorities. You can keep a roof over your head and food on your table because of us. Stop with the stereotypes already.

Bad experience with buying a wig and and by the time I walked to counter and paid they had put in a different low budget wig and 2 days later when I tried to bring back I was treated rudely by Patrick or Fredrick the owner at the counter. I will NEVER go back to that store again...I left the wig and walked out the store they can have that $30. Im not going to be spending a lit if money in that store just to be disrespected.

Every time I go inside this store, I dont get any help with the staff at all. They make you feel so uncomfortable and I wouldnt recommend anyone to go there who is a minority. You do better going online or somewhere else. Very poor customer service!

HORRIBLE!!! They lie about the amount and numbers of the products they sell. I bought something that said there was 200 as they amount. When I got home I realized there was 100. I went back in and had the recipt and package and everything and they accussed me of lying. I even had to talk to the owner who still wouldnt refund me anything or even listen to me. They were all immediatley defensive and rude. I WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER be going there again. I have worked in customer service for 11 years and they are the pure example of how run a buisness into the ground.

I was walking. Around with a set of clip in hair extensions and wanted to feel how thick and the quality of the hair well one of the worker snatched it right out of my hand and said Ill hold that for you and I ended up buying them and they suck dick.

DONT GO HERE. It was 5:55 and they close at 6 and they were pressuring me to leave, workers were following me trying to lead me to the door. All I wanted to do was return something.
