Usually the store is nice and well kept. Yesterday when I was there was a little different. Kind of messy. Couldnt find what I was looking for. No clerks to help. Hope it improves!

My sales associate was so nice and helpful...that doesnt happen often!

Waited at the jewelry counter 10 minutes to buy an anniversary gift. Finally called customer service 3 times. When someone finally answered, they could not hear me on the phone and hung up. I called again and they hung up again. I finally walked around and found a lady stocking racks and asked her to contact someone. She said she will try to help me at the jewelry counter. She looked all over and no one knew where the keys were. Finally found keys and sold me necklace and earrings. Total time in jewelry department.... 48 minutes to buy what I already picked out. Not cool.

The store used to be fairly nice but now it’s just terrible. I understand the store is having a hard time staying open, but it’s just a mess in there. The employees don’t maintain the selection of clothes and items. There’s unfolded clothes laying all over the floor everywhere, there’s clothing ripped out of packaging scattered around the store, the shelves are just plain messy. This store is definitely going downhill.

Sales going on right now so that was nice. Prices are still to high for most things.

Not the greatest selection on jeans at all the popular sizes were no were to be seen. When I left they didnt take off any security badges of clothes the security system didnt go off when I left. The help was non existence.

Deceptive signs and poor customer service. Bought several shirts with the attached sign. Was told buy one get one didnt mean 2 for $17.99. The identical sign was on the next rack but that was buy one get one was applicable just not this one. Then manager came and told us they cant be responsible for signs in the store and said she couldnt do anything about it. Then she left the sign there until we pointed it out. This store is one of the remaining retail stores in GF and obviously doesnt care. Shame on you JCPenney.

Well one lady must of thought I was very important. She fallowed me everywhere and only would had me two items to try on at a time. She then rudely told me she has to check the dressing room every so often so when I was showing my girlfriend and kids my new outfit she went and snooped in my dressing room to see if I was stealing. If it wasnt for the great deal I got on winter clothes I woulda left the $400 I spent there in my pocket. But know I will never spend another dollar in the grand forks, north dakota jcpenneys. To that lady if youre reading this, you probably miss out on a lot of cool people being so judgmental. Bless you tho and I hope life treats you better that you treat your customers... Just remember, without the consumer you have no job, and with an attitude like you had jobs wont be easy to find...

Standing 7th in line to check out, only one check out open, with 2 cashiers. Only 1 fitting room open. Frustrating!!!! Nice store, but they need more help!!!

Bought a ring in their fine jewelry dept. The stone fell out after two weeks. Only wore it maybe three days. When I brought it back I could not get it fixed without paying for it because I did not buy an additional warranty Silly me-I thought a six hundred dollar ring would last more than a week! This is one more example of why Pennys is going under. Macys would never do that. Lesson learned-BUY MACYs

Variety of frames at a good price

I was in their shopping Friday August 14th and I had a few things to purchase I went to 3 different checkout counters and could not find a clerk I walked around the store for about 10 to 15 minutes and I could not find anyone so I ended up leaving my stuff at the counter and left what is up with this?

I dont know. I want to love it. And its almost there.If everything was a little cheaper and just more man friendly.But you should definitely check it out if you are in the Columbia Mall. You wont be blown away by the sales. But you can get some nice clothes.The staff are super nice and its very clean.Just make sure you have a $50 bill in your pocket.

JCPenneys looks like its standing on its last legs, as they didnt have a whole lot of stock in place. The staff was certainly friendly and walked us through several different options we had for online, and we did eventually find something in the store that suited our needs. But there were not very many employees available and it looks like the store is on its last legs. Which befits the local mall thats located in which is seen so many other vendors leave in recent years

Found some amazing deals on boys clothes. Store is rather dated and bathrooms need a major overhaul. Customer service used to be very good, but I had to wait in line for over 20 minutes to check out. No one around in the actual department to answer any questions. Had to find someone, and then they didnt have answer anyway.

A very good what I call a department store with many different types of household and clothing goods to include shoes and mens suits. I like shopping at JCPenneys because I am a larger person who needs clothes in larger sizes and Penneys provides a great selection and many different styles for both men and women. They also have a great selection of ties and accessories like belts, socks, etc. But Penneys also has a home wares department which is quite extensive and a makeup department for the ladies. There is a in store hair stylist department and many other areas of the store which are to many to list. So if youre looking for a great shopping experience give JCPenneys a try. And remember its connected to Columbia mall with many different shops and a food court as well as restaurants that are around the mall area.

So much stuff its hard to find anything.

If youve been in one JCP, youve been in them all. This one sometimes struggles to keep the clothes off the floor due to high traffic and customers that dont respect the merchandise. You can get a lot of good deals in the clearance.

I have been to the salon in the past, today I stopped in at noon I was able to schedule a 3 pm appointment. We did other shopping and ate lunch. I returned at 2:50 only to wait till 3:20 where I walked up to counter and cancelled my appointment. People came in after me and were helped right away. Very disappointed with the service and will not be returning again. You lost my business and will utilize the JCPenney out of town for any of my clothes shopping.

It can be hard to find what you need at this store.

Still think its a great place to shop

Have been getting hair cuts from this salon for about 4 years - when my normal stylist left several years ago, I have been hoping to find a regular stylist to care for my cuts - but there is so much turn over, I cant seem to find one. Got a hair cut today - it was a very poor cut AND they charged me more than normal because the stylist was apparently an upper level stylist. Poor service + higher price = NO BUSINESS from me. Time for a new salon.

Great customer service by the guy James in the men clothes section.He was super great..got me some nice deals and sized me properly with shirts.

Went in and asked for a nice honey blonde (which I was not far from) came out darker! The stylist was very nice but I even had a picture, 1 picture to refrence what I wanted. She seemed very confident she could do it and told me her big plan..Nowhere near what I asked for and paid $227?? I have been here many times and never paid anywhere close to this, especially to get opposite of what I asked for! Very upset and will not be back!!
