The team here was fantastic! Sara helped me find the perfect glasses. So helpful and knowledge.
I would have given 0 but no option for it. It has been more than 3 weeks still they are saying shipment is delayed. I strongly suggest not to order glasses from Target Opticals Glenview.
I had no issues with the doctor and getting my prescription, but once I picked up my glasses the first time after continuously having to call in if they were ready after being told they would inform me. The lenses were all scratched up within days. And I had done nothing but lightly wear them.. I had to come in 4 times now to get the lenses replaced and I keep having the same problem. I got the best lenses they had to offer and still had problems with terrible, very noticable scratches...I feel foolish for wasting my money.
Truly the worst experience Ive ever had - find an actual optometrist and go there instead. They gave me the wrong prescription of contacts while I was still dilated, then mailed me the wrong prescription again TWICE to two separate addresses, before finally figuring out how to send me my accurate prescription almost a month later. Took maybe 10 phone calls since they never returned calls. Yikes.
Really nice guy at the desk. Doc was knowledgable. Took a while but very happy with results
They are super nice and very thorough with the exam. I usually go to a Opthomologist, but was not able to get in for over three months. You can make appointments online and order your contacts too!! They have all the same equipment as my other Opthomologist, and they cost half of the price. They didn’t even ask me to buy my new pair of glasses at the store. They explain every test and go over the results in great detail. I highly recommend this place!!!
The eye exam was good. After that, the customer service (sales )was terrible. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
Buckle up and get ready to wait, and wait and wait for your glasses to come be ready. Whatever time frame they tell you they will be ready, add 5 days and then get ready to call and leave messages (they do not return) and keep calling until you finally get a hold of someone that gives you a questionable excuse and adds several more days to the promised timeline. This is exactly how it went last year with my sons glasses. To date, never once have they returned a call, never once have they called when they promised to give an update, and never once has it taken anything less than 5 follow-up calls and about 3x as long to get the glasses as they quote.I just hung up after being on hold for 12 minutes with no one ever coming to the phone. I dont know if its Target Optical or just the Glenview location, but the Glenview location is a disaster.
I had the opposite experience of the other reviewer. After years of getting over-priced glasses and contacts at individual optometrists, someone convinced me to try Target Optical. I was concerned about service and quality, but after learning TO is operated by Luxotica, same lenses and quality, I gave it a go.Started at the Arlington Hts location and initial service was great, ironically because the manager wasn’t there. Then when I had to try to communicate with and get simple answers from the uber-friendly manager Glen, things went downhill fast. I’ll save that for their review, but I literally walked out of the AH loc during my last trip there and drove to the much-farther Glenview loc.Glenview TO was like a spa in comparison. Adrian was able to answer questions simply and clearly (vs windy anecdote-filled non-answers from AH Glen), helped me pick out frames (vs Glen mocking me for collecting a handful of frames as I waited, assuming he’d help me pick — he mocked and then went into a windy explanation of why a frame was the best cuz it was “in style” without even wanting to see it on me) - ok this is turning into a bad review of AH, but the point is Glenview/Adrian’s professionalism and helpfulness was the polar opposite.Excellent selection of frames, great quality (I ended up buying four pair of progressives in the end, two of them sunglasses), and service - at least with Adrian and everyone I’ve talked to on the phone - is excellent. If you have the luxury of going during off-peak hours, of course you’ll save time. But even though I can only go on weekends and expected to wait, the wait at Glenview was a fraction of that in AH and infinitely less harried.Ironically AH Glen ran around the busy room complaining about how busy it was and insinuating how stupid everyone was for coming in on a weekend, but then wasted his own and everyone’s time with the infinite unhelpful diatribes. Folks at Glenview were more calm and efficient.
