Cold. Creamy. Delicious. Surprisingly affordable. Got waaaaay more frozen custard than I expected for the price I paid. Not that Im complaining. I throughly enjoyed every delicious bite.

One of the best places on Broad Street for dessert. The Ray’s Colossal Cookie is huge & delicious. They have so many choices and the food is delicious. The employees are quick and professional as well. I will definitely be back here!

We stopped by for a little late-night treat. The selection was outstanding and the staff was very nice. We got a watermelon ice and a peanut butter passion sundae, they were both awesome. Price was also a nice surprise, I have paid more the same items at other places. Well done cant wait to go back and try some more flavors.

Unbelievable bad service. It is so sad the place has gone down hill since ordering online started. I am definitely not coming back. My order should have been ready at 2:05pm - it is 2:42 pm. And I still don’t have my order. There was never a text - I patiently waited for 45 min!Never coming back

Since discovering this place three days ago I have been there three times. I think I have a problem, I am beyond addicted to this place. A giant part of me is super happy I actually live a distance away.This is by far the best custard I’ve had since moving to Virginia. The rockets are brilliant. Their large is a lot to tackle for one person. However you will not regret it.

Fantastic soft serve.

Well first of all dont assume my identify. I am a friend of the lady you spoke to and was in the car with her when she made the phone call. She was not yelling at all. Your young employee wouldnt give us her name or first initial so we could let you know who she spoke to. We were uncomfortable giving our number to someone who wouldnt give us their name. No clue why she was crying. I heard you yelling and Id correct a friend if they did something wrong but she only yelled at you after you called and yelled at her. Ive visited your store multiple times and understand what she means about your personality. Youre very unprofessional. Im not sure what went down about her and her daughters rocket or any situations other than the phone call, but I will make sure many people know not to come to your business. Ritas is a much better place and everyone should go there instead. Work on your personality/professionalism before you and your employees take on these kinds of roles.

Favorite summertime treats. Hand dipped custard in 15 flavors that are always changing but may include coconut or cinnamon toast. Italian ices in 15 or more flavors including blue raspberry and cotton candy. Soft serve custard. Amazing sundaes with a full variety of toppings candy, fruit, chocolate, carmel, and peanut butter.

Love this place. Gotta get the Rays rocket with soft serve ice cream layered into your Italian ice. So yummy. A small is quite a lot so dont get too ambitious when deciding what size to order.

Just a great place to grab a fresh dessert. My personal favorite is the Rays Rocket, but the Evil Twin (though so high in calories, you wont be able to lift your feet when youre done) is their prime snack. If youre counting calories, just grab an Italian ice, you wont be disappointed. Everything is a treat, so enjoy!

Sweet treats for a hot day!

I like their coconut ice cream more than anything. Although they make their ice cream fresh, so not all flavors are available every day. The menu changes frequently. Still a really nice spot for a sweet treat. Seating is limited, but they do have plastic beach chairs.

This place is amazing! I love the cotton candy Italian ice and the dipped cones are very tasty too! Great location too to just walk around while eating your sweet treats!

I loved their ice cream. I enjoyed going here after the Dave and Busters situation.

We got a 2 scoop cone of pistachio and extreme peanut butter. The custard was delicious, the scoops were HUGE, it was only $3.50, and the customer service was excellent! We really enjoyed this unexpected surprise when we were just about to head back home and happened upon it. Definitely recommend Rays!

Weve been going here for years, including the first location that was further down Broad St. Being from NY state, I sorely missed frozen custard when moving here 20 years ago. Thank God Rays came to the rescue! The custard is exactly as it should be. I only wish they had another location closer to the city center or Northside. Two locations both in Short Pump seems a bit excessive.

I had the Italian Ice. My favorite flavors so far are Cherry Limeade and Tangerine. I havent had the custard, but it seems pretty popular every time I go. Ray is a nice soft-spoken guy and never hesitates with a sample. I will definitely recommend to my fellow citizens.

The custard ice cream at Rays is usually outstanding. Last few weeks it has not been as good. Hope standards go back up. Love that place.

Suddenly had a craving for Ritas Water Ice but found out quickly that there werent many Ritas outside of the Philly area. So looked up water ice and went to this one, while being kind of upset that it wasnt Ritas. Well I was upset for no reason because this was one of the best water ice that wasnt Ritas I had. Ray must be Ritas cousin or something :)
