I love this bakery! That being said, I would not get the key lime pie again, not enough filling and too much whipped cream. But my bf loved his European Tart, and rightly so as it is one of the best things on the menu. I will come earlier in the day next time when they have a better selection of goods.

This place is breathtaking. Having so many British choices of high quality in Arizona is amazing! We got as many as we could afford, and not disappointed by one single thing. From the cakes, food, bread and the drinks, you will surely enjoy the food here. Highly recommended.

Great selection of pastries and sweet treats. I appreciate that the buttercream frosting isnt super sweet or grainy like most bakeries. We got the peanut butter mousse cupcake, chocolate trifle, fruit eclair and slice of cheesecake. Will definitely be back again!

How can you not like this place? We literally go every week for our cheat meal. Great people, great selection, great prices. My favorite is the salted caramel brownies and the cheesecake. But you really cant go wrong. If you arent sure what to pick, just ask. They always make the best selections based on your personal preferences. Please stop in, you wont be disappointed! But plan to arrive early because when they are out of items, they are OUT!

Got the fruit eclair today! It was delicious. Berries were fresh. Finally pastries/desserts that aren’t too sweet! I had been looking for a long time for a legit bakery that I could just pop into every now and again and would have fun, house made, original items. I was tired of tasting freezer burn or getting something very lackluster at other cafes or bakeries. I saw pictures of this place and realized I had driven past it multiple times before without ever noticing it. I went by one day and was blown away. They have mini pies, cookies, macaroons, sticky toffee pudding, and even their own delicious things like a poptarts but better. I love that you can pick and choose so many different fun things. Prices are fair and everything I have gotten has been very worth the price. They also make big orders if youre looking for catering for an event. If youre looking for something real and original, stop by and check them out.

Saw the good reviews and thought we would give it a try. I gotta say we were not disappointed. Young lady behind the counter was friendly, patient and helpful. We got a cinnamon roll, a cupcake, eclairs, sticky toffee pudding and a box of macarons. It was all amazing. Macarons were light and delicate, the cinnamon roll was one of the best Ive had, the eclairs were excellent and Im already planning another visit for more sticky toffee pudding. My son said the peanut butter mousse cupcake was super good. I highly recommend this place. We will be going back soon and trying more of their fantastic treats.

Im very picky when it comes to sweets and All of the treats here are delicious! I cant get enough of them! The owner is very kind, knowledgeable and takes time to tell you what all the different items are. My only complaint is that theyre not open all the time!! Definitely worth the stop.

Weird hours for a bakery, but the treats are absolutely amazing. I stuffed my little piggy face with an eclair, peanut butter mousse cupcake, some delicious homespun take on a Twix bar, banofee pie, cinnamon roll, and AMAZING pop-tart pastry. The service was really good, too. Super friendly and cheery. Will be back.

My husband went to this bakery to get a bunch of sweet treats for our family and let me say they all were phenomenal! You have to try their pop tart if you havent yet because YUM! Cannot recommend this place enough.

Cheesecake was delicious, raspberry pop tart, not so much.Cheesecake was mildly sweet, rich vanilla bean flavor, heavy texture and a solid graham cracker crust. The raspberry pop tart was mostly puff pastry with a mildly sweet spread of raspberry inside and a very sweet glaze; left me with a bit of dry mouth feel.Looking forward to trying them again.

First time trying them out and glad I did! Got myself a few cup cakes a few macaroons and a millionaire bar. Everything is super good but I’m in love with the millionaire bars! Place was super clean And tidy. Definitely worth the stop if you’re in that area.

We come here every couple weeks to grab cookies, a cupcake, and something new we havent tried. Everything (seriously) has been delicious! The sausage roll is amazing as well! Not only is this place delicious but its consistent. I highly recommend!

I stopped by on a whim and purchased a cinnamon roll and strawberry poptart. They both were incredible!! The cinnamon roll was super soft and not overly sweet! I will be heading back soon!

I do this bc there is so much to say about the QUALITY and detail they take with their sweet and special desserts. I will forever take the time to travel here even if I live far away! Basically their eclairs are amazing. I travel a lot so I know my eclairs so far this place is very close to the flavors I tasted. Customer service could improve but I’m a person as long as the food is good The rest is history. My first visit I met with the owners relative a niece or so with her little baby girl ( Mercedes and Juno) we had good conversation. I bought eclairs, pastries and cup cakes. My hats off for eclairs and pastries. Overall it’s a decent place. Hope they were open on the weekend a little longer.

There is nothing I don’t love from The Great Gadsby. Some favs: sticky toffee pudding, salted caramel brownies, key lime pie, banoffee pie, eclairs, the poptarts! And the best and simply perfect cheesecake. Love this family run business and would eat something from here every day if I could and be happily plump.

I drive all over the East Valley for work, and I like to try out various high-quality bakeries. Great Gadsby has some of the best treats Ive ever tried. Prices are in the range of other specialty bakeries, but the quality of the goods is probably the best Ive tried locally. I highly recommend it to anyone!

Fabulous little bakery in Gilbert. Their selection of sweet and savory pastries was awesome. Their Kouign-Amann pastry was a perfectly soft and flaky croissant with a crunchy, crystalized sugar coating.

I visited this bakery for the first time based on positive reviews. They have cupcakes, macarons, cookies, eclairs, fruit tarts and shakes. The employee was friendly and helpful. I purchased the chocolate sundae cupcake. I was happy is wasnt packed in plastic. The cupcake tasted just ok for me. It was a little too sweet. There was as much frosting on it as cake. It was $3 for a small cupcake. I would rather pay a little more and go to Sweet Daddys and get a jumbo cupcake that tastes amazing. Dont think Ill be back.

Good spot to grab some baked goods to go. Unfortunately, the operating hours are not great which often leads to looking elsewhere. Check the hours before you go and if they are open I don’t think you will regret the decision to stop by.

Ive visited a few times since my family moved to AZ in early 2019. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and the sweets are delicious. Their mini Vanilla Bean Cheesecake (FTW) is my favorite (so far) but you cant go wrong with anything they sell. Top notch!

Wonderful bakery has delicious banoffee pie and European tarts. There meringue is to die for! Super tasty. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable they wore gloves and masks so I really appreciate the extra thought and care given towards the preparation of our pastries.

We love their cake shake special during the summer but the whole bakery is phenomenal!! The pasty and sausage rolls are fabulous. The chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon rolls are the best I’ve ever tasted. We are so lucky to have such a fine bakery in our area! They take great pride in their product and it shows.

I went in with my granddaughter and great granddaughter.We were greeted very cheerfully by the server. She answeredour questions about the selection quickly and clearly. Wechose quite a variety of delicious snacks for each of us. Ihad a wonderful chocolate trifle, we shared macaroons andmy great granddaughter had a fruit compote that looked lovely.Every item we tried was excellent.

My Raspberry cupcake was awesome. The vanilla cupcake was a dense soft cupcake with a surprising graham cracker light crust on the bottom, a creamy raspberry frosting and a fresh raspberry on top. The hazelnut dessert- Now Discontinued!had a seemingly French inspired bread like crust, Choux with a hazelnut whipped cream filling. The only thing that could have made the hazelnut dessert better would be a little chocolate. The Hazelnut dessert was not sweet, but still delicious if you love real hazelnut.We got the choc chip cookies too, but not my thing. They were soft, lots of butter and chips but I preferred the cupcakes.Update- they discontinued my favorite hazelnut dessert.Last time I got the lime tart and the crust was a crumble not held together at all. Very little filling & mostly whip cream, huge disappointment.Raspberry cupcake was not as good, tasted a tad stale and too sweet.2x they closed early because they “ran out”. So go early.

Cutest little place with great customer service and AMAZING dessert. In the summer they have extravagant shakes that are pretty Instagram worthy, but I would honestly recommend just getting them without the shake part. I have tried the cookies, cupcakes, Macaroons, chocolate cake, fudge/caramel brownie, and one of the eclairs. All very good. Highly recommend this place.

I always stop by The Great Gadsby Bakery whenever Im anywhere near downtown Gilbert. The staff is friendly and the store itself is easy to find. My favorite treats are the fruit eclair, chocolate salted caramel tart and the coconut cream pie. Their cake shakes are AMAZING and I love that there are different flavors every week. Their savory items, like the sausage rolls or fresh bread, are delicious too. You cant go wrong no matter what you order!

Had to knock down my previous 5-star review because I tried some cupcakes from here the other day for the first time, and they were really not good. Very dense and the frosting tasted and had texture like it was all fat, not enough sugar maybe. Everything else Ive had here has been fantastic, though!

Dont pass up this bakery when you are on Gilbert road. Easily the best cupcakes and pastries in town. Bought one of their Pop tarts (dont let the name fool you) and ended up buying the last three they had. Do yourself a favor and get a Pop tart and a raspberry cheesecake cupcake when your there and thank me later.

The pastries here are delicious! I wasn’t expecting to see so many French pastries alongside the variety of cupcakes. I got a variety of sweet treats and my partner and I loved them so much we cut them into pieces so we could savor them for longer!! We will definitely be going back and you bet this will be my go to place for a pie for thanksgiving!! I highly recommend this bakery and their yummy treats!

We arrived shortly before they closed and were rewarded with a tray of the most wonderful cinnamon rolls Ive ever had. I am not a fan of the sugar frosting on baked goods so I wasnt as excited as I should have been. The next morning I brought them to work and to my surprise I wound up eating an entire roll myself. The frosting was melty and combined with the cinnamon into the most amazing flavor. I did share with my coworkers but I didnt want to. They also came back for bigger pieces and spoonfuls of frosting. We went in for cupcakes and those were also delicious as well. Lemon Cheesecake had a fun crust surprise in the bottom, great lemon flavor and cheesecake frosting. My daughter had cookies and cre, also great. We will be back

Just found this hidden gem of a bakery today! Was greeted by a very nice gentleman who gave us an overview of everything they had at the time we came in; bought a chocolate and berry eclair as well as a loaf of bread. The eclairs were amazing...I dont really fancy eclairs but the Great Gadsby Bakery converted me to a fan (of theirs, at least). Im excited to make french toast with my loaf of bread (which they recommended might be a good way to use it!). I will definitely be a regular!

Went to great gatsby after reading all the great reviews!I dont know if its cause i went as soon as they opened or not.... the 8 cupcakes i bought from them were all super hard. The cake itself was like a pound cake. So dense and hard.My kids refused to eat them :(

Wide variety of sweets to choose from, and all look so delicious! I had the berry eclair and my husband had the millionaire shortcake. Both were incredible! The pastry was perfectly done, as was the cream. The store has a relaxing environment, perfect for taking a moment and just relaxing.

Gadsbys is amazing. We started coming here probably a little over a year ago. Everything I have had is superb (probably 90% of the menu). The service is always great as well. I love supporting this business. My only compliant is that they are not open later on Saturday and not at all on Sunday. I get it, it is just me being selfish for something sweet when a craving kicks in after dinner on the weekends 😀

I live at Town Commons which is practically connected to this bakery (which is dangerous because the cupcakes are AMAZING). I have an addiction to their treats!!!

I had the mousse cupcake...phenomenal. Best cupcake Ive had in a long time. My husband got the pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin cupcake. He loved it. Next Im going to take my mom and dad here.

I tried to call ahead to place an order and was greated by a voice message that said all messages would be returned. No return call. I called again this morning, same message. I drove to the store, waited in line for an HOUR! Just to be told only orders placed ahead of time were available for sale. I hope your business closes and you figure out why. Customer service is TOP priority! Call people back and have common courtesy! If you couldnt make enough pies with your limited staff. Hire people for the holiday increase in business . Piefection is open and has Pies in the shelf to sell for walk in business! Horrible business plan!

Nice people, place was packed. But cupcakes were way to dense and thick, not light and airy at all. Frosting was very sugary almost to sugary.. Didnt finish it...Maybe other treats are good but cupcakes leave a lot to be desired...

We had a wedding cake made for my nephews wedding. It was amazing. Not only looked beautiful, and generous layers but the lemon cream filling (lemon was the brides request) was not too sweet and not too tart but absolutist scrumptious - a real hit with the guests.

I had the pleasure of finding this bakery in downtown Gilbert. The owners are from England and so the pastries remind me of the delicious desserts I had when I travelled to Europe. It is melt in your mouth and the cream is not overly sweet. I highly recommend that you visit the bakery!!!
