The staff was incredibly helpful and tried out various products on me until we found a good match. I typically order online but will head into the store more often because they are so helpful.
This will now be one of my favorite Sephora’s! The help was there when I needed it. This Sephora was also fully stocked which was great. I loved how attentive the associates were. Gregory was great and helped me! I will be back here soon!!
Emily was just wonderful! Helped me with everything I needed and more. Shes such a sweetheart♡ She even got me to sign up for a credit card!
Came here with a friend as I dont normally shop here and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Even though I dont do make-up ect. One thing I thought was cool as an outsiders point of view is their rewards program. It was very different then many other stores. Id ask them about it when you go in next for sure! My friend ended up using her points she earned and got some skincare products for me! Honestly staff made the experience and was what impacted me to leave a review!
I’ve been shopping at Sephora for over 10 years now. Both online and in stores. This Sephora store has everything you need and want. The employees that work there are polite and helpful. If you need to try new makeup, they are there to help you. They also have a special Bday club in which you get lil gifts for your Bday which is a nice perk! However I have had some issues ordering online from Sephora in the past. Some late arrivals or no packages at all?? I would give online Sephora a 2 or 3 star rating. If you’re able definitely try the stores instead of online!
I’m not a big review person but Jorge is amazing and sooooo kind!! Sephora can be intimidating to most women so it’s nice to have someone so helpful 😊
Easy to find help with the things I need.
I must say I was very pleased with this staff they were super friendly with warm greetings when I walked thru the door. The staff was very helpful. Ive been to this location before the staff wasnt necessarily mean or rude just not friendly. Being African American in this part of the valley good customer service and friendly helpful staff goes a long way. So kudos keep up the good work.
Mostly for women but a well trained staff and prompt service
Awesome shopping experience, found what I was looking for.
Great place and very helpful employees.
Whoever the esthetician in their skincare section is, they are the reason I will never step foot in that sephora store again. She asked if I needed help, and even after I said no she wouldnt stop asking or staring at me. Even after I thought our interaction had ended she came back and kept asking what I was looking for and after the third time I told her I was just browsing hoping she would leave me alone she started commenting on the items in my basket and how they concerned her. She then went on to continue handing me recommendations I didnt need or ask for and insulted my under eye area and started telling me what I was doing wrong. Bullying, harassing and insulting customers should not be acceptable behavior. I will never return. As someone with social anxiety I dont appreciate having my answers and personal space violated.
They were very helpful. But you can see they were covid restricted so it appeared a lil impersonal when do a make up match. But overall good service provider.
Definitely a womens happy place lol lots can be found here.
Sephora as a company is great. This individual store lacks knowledgeable personnel both in the realm of cosmetics and company policy.
Sephora as a company has made the poor decision to not be inclusive to **all** women. They claim to be, but they aren’t. How unfortunate for them, because they’ve forever lost my (and plenty of other women) business. Yikes! That’ll hurt in the morning. Good luck Sephora! Maybe consider making better decisions in the future.
My wife loves it... My wallet doesnt
I was very impressed that they are taking precautions at the store (masks required and distancing). I had to return an item and was hoping to get the correct color, however, they were out of stock. My only reason for 4 out of 5 stars was because we had to order online which did not apply the points multiplier promo. My experience with this location, it is a hit and miss with getting free samples, unlike ordering online.
Was a friendly store and they did a great job helping me from the door way.. I have a medical condition that absolutely does not allow me to wear a mask. Im getting married oct 3rd and went to get my wedding make up I wasnt allowed in the store so Brooke (who was amazing) helped me and my mom. Its only 4 stars because the mandate says you have to wear a mask UNLESS YOUBHAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION. doesnt say exclude those with medical conditions from entering your store. So I felt like a leper forces to stand on the heat because I had no mask its discrimination. But I dont expect the 19 year old to know this sooo but shame on you owners
Great customer service
Not bad, could be better organized.
Its Sephora. They have a lot of smelly, shiny and lotiony things. Plus about 10 feet of mens items, like smelly spray stuff. My wifey likes it, so I goes here.
I just have to say thank you so much to the ladies working on re-opening today!!! They open at 11am but google said 10am. These ladies asked what I needed and allowed me to make my purchase an hour before they opened and I so so SO appreciated that!! Great customer service, beautiful!!!
Granddaughter found what she wanted
Great place to go for female cosmetics and perfume. Not much in mens choices though, 3 racks of mens colognes. I was after a specific item that was listed on a shelf tag but no one could locate it. The Chandler Mall store is a better location, in my opinion.
Good customer service and has front row parking
Reilyn did my makeup for my wedding this past weekend and she did an amazing job! I would definitely recommend this location. Everyone seemed happy to help me and welcomed me right away. 😁
Store was not clean.
Just like every other Sephora. Amazing! Duh.
Clean, friendly, well stocked, and spacious. Unfortunately, this location is temporarily closed (again) as of 7/17/20.
Plenty of knowledgable staff. My wife loved it. Even I had fun. Great selection, high quality products, but pricey
VICTORIA WAS THE BOMB.COM!
Got my makeup done by Reilyn for an event and she did an amazing job! The makeup looked great and stayed on all night. I would definitely go back.
Extraordinary customer service! Absolutely love my experiences here. The workers are incredibly nice and knowledgeable. They are extremely helpful and happy to assist you. I will continue to purchase all my makeup from this store. I highly recommend stopping in!
Unfortunately I have to give them a star because you have to. No customer service. There were like 10 employees just standing around talking to each other. No one said hello or can I help you. I needed to make 15 gift for a bridal party and I needed some help locating some items. I just gave up and left. Ill just order online because its easier and I dont have to deal with lazy employees. No wonder stores are having self check out and cutting jobs. Places have horrible service so we just go online. Soon there will be no store employees and thats fine with me. Visited on 8/31/17 at 3pm
Such an incredible staff-everyone is so helpful and friendly. This is my new go to place for any cosmetic needs. I have always struggled with my make up but all the girls were so welcoming! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
They tell you what kind of mask you can wear
Nothing special or worse in this Sephora compare to the other locations. I actually like this location better than the one in Chandler mall. Staffs are always busy and wont greet you immediately when you walk in but I always had someone to speak with if I have questions. Theres always no lacking of selection and I dont feel any pressure to try anything I like any time I visit it.
Had my makeup done by Rachel and she did a marvellous job. It was exactly what I wanted. She was helpful to explain each step and answer my questions and give my tips. I’m giving it a 4 because although I had a good experience here today, I’ve come here a few times before and not had a good time where they were condescending.
Everytime i come here, everyone has a bad attitude. The workers as well as a lot of the customers are just rude and unhelpful. Id recommend finding your local Ulta instead.
My little sister and I went there yesterday, and it wasnt the first time wed been at the San Tan location. Our previous experiences have been pleasant, and the people there were very helpful to us especially with suggesting skin care products for my little sister (she has psoriasis). But last night was different: nobody greeted us or asked us if we needed any help, and when we did approach someone they seemed irritated with us and offered no insight whatsoever. When we were rang up, the lady seemed irate as well, as if they were trying to just get us to leave. Mind you, it was 7:25 PM. Its not as if we were there at 8:55 still browsing and messing up displays. When I got my bag, it felt oddly light for the two products that I had bought. I handed the bag to my little sister who stuffed it in a bigger Banana Republic bag. We live in Chandler, so the drive was a bit for us and we still had a few errands to run. We unloaded our bags in our home and went to sleep. When I woke up this morning, I noticed that the foundation I bought was nowhere in sight. We called the store and the lady who was helping us was very condescending and didnt offer any immediate help. She said she would look into it and give us a call back. Im not really sure whats going on in that store, but my frequent visits to Sephora have always been pleasant, but this time around, it wasnt. And they were not even apologetic about it either.
The young ladies working here were all wonderful; very knowledgeable of their products. Friendly and ready to share their experiences, good and bad, with certain items to help the decision process. The problem with this location is having a 50 something year old - who doesnt use or understand products - run the store. When returning items, Tracie tried to say a perfume purchased 4days ago was empty and Farsalis primer was half gone; presumably because when she pumped the primer, the dropper came out clean. Everyone knows the primer is an air tight product..the bottle is DESIGNED to minimize waste.Nevermind my spending 1200 in Sephora last month alone with zero other returns recently, this uninformed bigot tried to essentially accuse me of stealing product. Eventually she accepted my return for store credit but I will sure as hell not be spending any money at this location so long as she is manager.
Could not get in at the mall entrance had to go outside to get inside.
Would give zero stars if that was an option. Customer service is a big thumbs down here.
This is a terrible store. Try another store. customer service is terrible.
My pregnant daughter and my wife drove all the way from North Scottsdale to Gilbert to have her make up done. Gabby, Jessica and Rachel did an amazing job of making my daughters night horrible. I will be filing a complaint with corporate for sure. They are supposed to be professionals, not so much. They must be color blind or possibly blind. The make up was horrible and the wrong colors. The service was even worse. Condescending arrogant people that know nothing of customer service. Stay far away!
Wife had her rouge appt for makeup staff did amazing job an I had a happy wife. We use this location on a regular basis,
Ok
I was here a few months ago. I could not do my shopping because the employees were always jumping down my throat. I swear I caught some staring at me, as if expecting me to steal something. It’s not like a young girl can have enough money to buy a $20 lipstick, right? Getting annoyed and just wanting to do my shopping in peace, I left empty handed. I will not go back here after being stalked throughout the store, just wanting a new lipstick. I know their job is to assist, but all they were doing is making me feel uncomfortable.
I had a very good experience at Sephora during my full make up visit. Erica was terrific and such a pleasant, friendly person.
Exceptional customer service and superb location! A true delight. I wont go to any other Sephora. I just love the girls there and Mary (the manager) is wonderful!
I loved it. Ive never been to a Sephora where the employees were all so nice. Josh did a makeover for my mom and he is the best. He was amazing and my mom loved how she looked and she never likes anything. This Sephora is far away, but its definitely worth it.
So frustrated with the obvious sneaking around and judging of the employees. The entire time I was there I was followed around by an employee which seemed odd, and I began noticing a security guard following me around the store. As soon as I left I watched the security guard walk out after me. So upset with my experience. Definitely contacting corporate.
I came in and got my birthday gift and to look around for new makeup, on my way out the door a employee was following me. I felt highly judged and every question I had asked was answered in a condescending manner. This Sephora has had terrible employees for years. When are they going to have good customer service? I guess hiring an uptight staff with heavily coated drag queen makeup and no personality is a priority.
My local standalone Sephora is just OK. Many of the things Im searching for are not carried locally in this store- but I think this is the norm for Arizona. (Im finding very limited offerings in most every kind of store in AZ, so its not just you, Sephora!)The associates here are friendly, the store is clean and neat. Youll definitely be able to find your basics and more here, just not a lot of the more specialty or designer items here. (Its always lipsticks I can never find...nope, no Guerlain here! LOL)Ive also had a recently disastrous experience with a Sephora online order even. They actually sent me someone elses RETURNS imstead of my order...how that happened I will never know. The only reason I ordered online was because what I was looking for wasnt available within a 100 miles from me at my local Sephora stores. Sigh.
I usually love this Sephora but it has become too much lately and tonight was my last straw. As you can tell from other reviews on this site and many others, this store seems to have a hard-on for hiring prejudiced people. Now my friend and I look different if you will. We both have colored hair and a few visible piercings here and there. We also tend to dress pretty comfortably when we go out.Every now and then I would get the feeling that we were being followed by employees. I always chalked it up to them just wanting to eagerly help us (even though every time we would ask for help they would do the bare minimum). Yet no matter what, there would always be at least one employee on us.Tonight was no different is seemed like. There were sly remarks from employees here and there and of course, there was always someone right behind us. But then, all of a sudden, no longer were we being followed by the employees, we were being followed by SECURITY!And this man wasnt being shy about it either. He would literally watch us pick up every little thing and wait for us to put it down. It wasnt until we finally got sick and tired of this treatment and left that the security guard followed us out of the store. Now listen, I understand that you cant have your products stolen and you need to be on top of your game on this kind of stuff. But what struck me was after reading ALL of the other reviews, I realized that the only people who seemed to be followed are people of color, and alternative looking people.All-in-all, I am disgusted with this Sephora and will never return to this location again. Not only should the floor employees be ashamed of themselves, but the managers and corporate offices should be as well. This all just seems like one big f-u to their customers.
Awesome products! The stire dudnt have several things I needed but the ladies were very helpful!
As an avid makeup lover and a frequent Sephora shopper, I tried so hard to like this location. Unfortunately I am bombarded with apathy and arrogance each time I walk through the door. There always seems to be an abundance of staff doing a whole lot of nothing except for exclusively shadowing me around the store just in case their only paying customer within the hour happens to shoplift and not gaggle of 15 year olds.
You can get some pretty cool stuff here
Worst employee and customer service in this Sephora. I am a loyal customer in Sephora and try to redeem the SK2 gift set with my VIBR points. Came by two weeks ago and ask for help, at that time they told me they do have it in store but they have policy and not allowed put it out this gift set until 18th. I come back again on 18th which is today, and you know what? They told me this gift set was totally run out long time ago!!! How is that possible? They just keep lying to the customers and not willing to help at all!!! I could get my gift set at the first time or they can tell me the truth at the beginning so I still have time to go to other Sephora to get my gift set. Now because of their lie, I wast 30 mins drive and can’t redeem the gift set any more!!! That’s how Sephora treat their VIBR customers and train their employees? Totally disappointed and unacceptable.
Great help. Got what I needed and more
Awful place. The ladies that do peoples makeup are the worst. Avoid the Hispanic looking one with long hair. I approached her and she snapped at me and lectured me over a question I asked when I asked about a picture for something for work. I was going to ask for a green lip stick as well for an event but after speaking to her, I walked out and made it know with my friends and family about this place. Chandler mall sephora is much nicer, samples are actually clean and staff is much nicer.
This is my go to Sephora for when I need to stock up on my foundation and I have to say they have the absolute worst customer service. I have been using this location for atleast the last 3-4 years frequenting every 3 months or so and I have NEVER and I mean N E V E R been asked if I needed assistance, I have always had to find someone myself or just go without help. Today was the last straw for me. I was in the store for maybe 30 minutes trying to decide on a new high-end foundation to try since Im no longer really liking my Marc Jacobs foundation (which is one of the brands that brought me to Sephora because ULTA does not carry Marc Jacobs.) and no one bothered AT ALL to even ask if I needed help or if I needed to be color matched despite the fact that several employees who werent doing anything saw my struggle and watched me try to color match myself. I even made eye contact with one older Sephora employee (who I need to mention is ALWAYS just standing around the perfume and Dior make-up area doing absolutely nothing) several times and she would immediately dodge me when I would try to approach & I KNOW she overheard my struggle since she kept hovering over me - which I might add made me feel like she thought I was going to steal. Yet she immediately goes to help a woman that just walked through the door fully knowing Ive been trying to get her help! After struggling for maybe 15 minutes I tried to find another employee but all the girls that were just standing around conveniently disappeared. I had enough and finally left, where I was finally acknowledged by an employee to have a good day and shop with them again *eye roll*. Well I went to ULTA where I was immediately greeted and assisted and have chosen a new foundation and I will be keeping my business with them and shopping a different Sephora location and/or online if needed. I truly feel like the lack of service at this location is due to prejudice. It shouldnt matter if I drop $1 or $1,000 customer service is customer service.
Very nice people very helpful.
The store is too small. I went in looking for a certain item. After waiting for 20 minutes, a sales rep asked if I needed help. I told her my problem & she rudely shrugged me off & offered no help at all & rudely said for me to go online!! I will not go back to this store!!
Staff is super helpful with a wide selection of make up choices for my wife.
Gabby is the best she always helps me with my products
My favorite place to shop! Friendly and knowledgeable staff that are willing to help.
Google sent me there for MAC make up! WRONG! THEY DO NOT AND HAVE NEVER CARRIED IT!
The ladies are rude. They dont help at all and dont know how to do makeup. They harass people.
I love the beauty products :)
Ive always had good luck here finding what I need. I usually go right at opening to avoid any crowds and its worked out well.
I believe they send the staff to a specific school to teach them how to be passively aggressive in avoidance of customers and to generally treat them like dirt,Im not talking about just one store but all Ive been in
Didnt have what I needed and they werent going to call
Hot inside!
Not customer friendly at all. The worker seemed to be in a rush and I felt unwelcomed and didnt get to enjoy my experience there. Also two of the ladies there were rude and not friendly at all.
Parking can be difficult but decent store
Unexpected behavior
Friendly staff assisted me right away
Employees very helpful
