I am quite nervous when I get my hair cut because it has been messed up so many times. Sandra was great! Made me feel comfortable and did a great job! She did exactly what I had asked for and I will definitely be going back here for my hair cut needs from now on!

You cannot trust their website. It says they close at 530pm. On Dec. 1, 2020, I pulled up to the front door at 450pm only to discover the employee locking the door to leave for the night. I asked about why the internet says they close at 530. She responded that they now close at 5 so they can use the 30 mins to sanitize for covid. Hmmm, I guess she sanitizes from her car while leaving.As a busy parent, they dont value your time or else they would honor their website. My daughter gets out of school at 4. I went home to quickly brush her hair, and then drove 30 mins to get here. I would have been disappointed but would have appreciated and honest answer about why she was closing early.As I keep hearing, covid has taken the laziest employees and given them an excuse to be even lazier. No thanks. Guess Ill find a new place since Im too busy to waste an hour on a school night that accomplished nothing.

I am a black African-American lady, I had gotten off work at 3:30. I walked into Fantastic Sam to get someone to cut and dye my hair. The two ladies in salon told me to get someone who could handle my hair. I told both ladies yes maam and walked away. I guess prejudice still excite.

This barber shop is located in a very nice part of town. I was attended quickly and even though I’ve never been to this shop, I got just the haircut I wanted.

I had the most hurtful and shocking experience with this location. We have been going for years, but will never be back.I took my 6yr old daughter for a haircut. They were closing at 5 (website says 7). We arrive 4:15. I don’t think that is unreasonable. Only two people working and I understand the frustrations of being short staffed. Two people ahead of us .... until a 3rd walks in and demands his haircut (apparently a regular). It’s 4:50 and they ask if the man can go in front of us. Fine with me. HOWEVER, I guess the lady was upset we didn’t opt to just leave at that point since it was close to 5.My childs turn:•Lady asks how short. I show her. I make a comment about it being easier to keep her hair short since she doesn’t like me to fix her hair. This provokes lady to get in my childs face & give her an inappropriate, STERN lecture about letting me do her hair. She must have seen the look on my face and said “I promise I’m not mean.”•Lady physically rough with my child as far as positioning her in the chair.... unnecessarily.. repeatedly. I started to think “surely not”, but it was happening.•half way done and I’m asked if I want her hair cut so it “turns under”. I hesitate for a sec and my child says “No, mom!” (she doesn’t know what “turns under” even means)... Lady yells at my child “SHUT UP!!!!!” My child did not hear her clearly as I was talking at the same time, but I heard her.•My stomach knotted up. Tears filled my eyes. Disbelief filled my soul. I’m in shock at this point and just want to finish and get out.• She immediately apologized as she could see my horror. She tried to justify saying she was a mother of three (made it worse). Too late ma’am.I still can’t believe it. I just can’t. The owner has shown very little concern. There are good people working there and the good ones deserve the business. This lady does not need to be there.

Ive been getting my hair cut here since i was a young lad and the staff are always friendly and do a great job. I went in looking like a mad scientist and left looking like a baller. A+

I had lost the stylist who had cut my hair for years and came to this FS because it is close to my home and their prices are not as outrageous as some salons today. I am the victim of female pattern baldness in my crown and only a scissors magician can cut it in such a way as to disguise my spot. When I explained this to the manager, she recommended that I give Deborah Joe a try and assured me that she was an expert in this type of styling. Well....it is now several years later and I will not let anyone else touch my hair. She is pleasant, patient and does not stop until both you and she are happy with the result. Give her a try, promise you wont be disappointed.

Deborah always does an awesome job coloring my hair. Been seeing her for at least 15 years and no bad experience. Been going to Fantastic Sams for at least 22 years and hardly any bad experiences. Totally recommend the Germantown location on Exeter off Poplar.

Hairstylists Sandra Smith is very friendly and does a great job. She always has a smile on her face.

Just moved from VA looking for a new place around this area and I regret picking this place. I went yesterday with my daughter to cut a inch or 2 of my hair, the lady actually cut more than what I told her probably like 4 to 5 inches. Then my daughter ask for some layers, I really dont know what they did with her hair but I didnt see any layers at all. I didnt even bother to complain because to me it was waste of time and money, very disappointed. Horrible place!!!
