If I could give zero stars I would. I went in to see how much i could get for my nearly $800 camera. A lady with blonde hair told me the best she could do was $150! I went to the National Pawn and Jewelry down the street and got DOUBLE that. Also, customer service here is TERRIBLE. While I was there there was a lady that was upset about a deal she made with the tall gentleman with the white hair. When she tried to speak to another employee about it, she was very uninterested in her concern. There are notes posted in here saying “please be nice to our workers” which I thought nothing of initially but seeing as how they try to get over on you and then don’t care about your VALID concerns- I don’t blame the customers. If I was you I would not pawn, loan, or buy here. Go 7 mins down the street to National Pawn. Save yourself a horrible experience. These reviews are an accurate representation of this establishment.

Went to cash America today and was very pleased with the service!! They offered us more than we expected and left very happy! Mark was so nice the moment we walked in and so was Codie she helped us out so much! 5 stars for both of them!! Definitely recommend over any pawn shop in Gaston county

I went there to purchase a gun for my boyfriend and was given a lot of incorrect BS information attempting to rip me off. When i presented them with the NC and federal law they refused to sell me the gun. While being in the store i noticed that this was the way white women were treated there so i am reaching out to several legal agencies in the morning including their gun governing agency to file complaints. They best get ready .... They didnt hurt me because we went down the street and purchased the gun ... But i am certainly not finished with them .... Please do not shop at this place HORRIBLE!

I went to this Cash American today they ladies on staff were very rude. I went in just looking around and saw a bracelet that I liked and wanted to purchase. However they had the bracelet priced and then refused to sell it at the price I saw it at. As a loyal customer to the Cash American company I was very upset and not happy with my experience at that location today. I will NEVER spend my money with this location again.

Horrible experience. We stood in front of Brandon for almost half an hour and he kept typing and looking up at us. Also we asked a lady without a name tag to show us a phone and she said she would be right with us but looked disgusted by us and not even 30 seconds later she went to show someone else around and I looked up at her waiting but instead she went to the back. Would recommend

My husband had a loan on a very expensive Gibson Zakk Wylde Les Paul guitar. He went in to pay on it and the girl told him he had a different loan due before that one and to just pay on that one. She said he had a couple of weeks before the Gibson payment was due. Well she told him wrong and when he went to get the Gibson out it had already been pulled and sold!! They even admitted that they were wrong!! They said they had no way to get it back even though they had messed up. They told him the guy who bought it says it was his loss and would not return the guitar. They would not reimburse him for the cost of the guitar. They wouldnt even refund the cost of the loan and interest. I found the guitar conveniently located for sale at a popular guitar shop in Lincolnton. That guitar sells for over 2K and the loan was for $300. They are crooks. The employees are rude and condescending. Avoid this place!

I enjoyed my visit to this location. The staff was so nice, helpful, and friendly. I experienced a small wait, but nothing extraneous as this is not a fast food operation. They provided good customer service to everyone that was there while I was in the store. I would recommend this location.

We stop by almost daily to check out the Blu-ray movies. Theres hardly ever anything that makes the trip worth it, but Im a collector & its a hobby of mine. Standing in line to purchase a few, a certain employee constantly bragged about she gets all of the good movies for her kids. Mentioned it at least 5 times. Therefore no customer gets a chance to actually see what comes in. This is unprofessional & borderline unethical. Employees should not be able to hide merchandise behind the counter on the clock to purchase off the clock. Super unfair & unprofessional.I could definitely understand this happening in a privately owned shop, but not it a franchise chain.

The first visit was a really good experience. I walked in today have been standing at the counter for 7 mins and nobody has said anything to me at all, there are only 3 customers here and 4 employees. Sonia and Beth were to busy having a personal conversation. I guess some people dont understand without your customers you dont have a job!!

I had several great experiences here. Both me and my fiancé got our engagement and wedding rings from Cash America. The location that we go to stays pretty busy, but the employees are always nice and very informative .

Retail prices for old beat up stuff. It would be funny, but it’s more like blind robbery. Seriously, don’t waste your time.

Everybody there were extremely nice. Yeah, its busy and theres a wait but its worth it. After being in most other pawn shops in the surrounding area, including Charlotte, I can see why they are the busiest.

I started going to cash American pawn last year, when I need a Xbox one. A girl Megan helped me. She was so nice and inviting by making me feel so welcomed. She gave me all the information I needed to know. I had no clue about gaming. So when I needed another Xbox one a few months later for my other sons birthday I thought of her. So I went back and she help me again. I think she is the best retail person Ive ever dealt with. Shes always smiling and seems to love her job. Just went today to put a few things on lay away and she once again helped me again. Thanks Megan your smile and helpfulness helped me once again.

Nasty place and they got roaches

Every time i go there is the same thing, The Store Manager Nelson screaming at his/her employees in front of all the customers, and even to his other managers as well that’s so unprofessional. Last time i went there I came in with my son and we had to go cause the employee was drunk! who gets drunk to work?! that place really sucks, not even the managers cant notice whats going on on the flor! pay more attention and plzzzz CLEAN!! roaches everywhere! such a Negative environment in so many ways !!! 🤬

I sold an air conditioner here, the man offered $20 and his reasoning was that it was going to be getting cold weather soon and he told me they would be marked down. I went in a week later to see my air conditioner selling for $89

Cost $75 for a 2 month loan on $120. Horrible service, left me in line while helping customers who arrived after me. Roaches ALL over the store and in my computer bag. Would not let me use restroom while making me wait 20 minutes in line nor would they let me exit the store and come back because they wouldnt service me before she locked the door for closing. Never again.
