Just had a great experience buying new tires, so I hadnt planned to need their services again so soon. My car had other plans and wouldnt start Saturday morning when I left work. I called Momentum and thankfully was told they could check it out that day. AAA roadside got it running and was sure it was a bad starter so I fully intended to have that service performed. I was pleasantly surprised when later that day they found nothing wrong after checking it over thoroughly. When my husband picked it up, there was no charge, which really was above and beyond. Really appreciate their honesty and integrity and highly recommend!

Last year I had taken my car to a place in Charlotte for alignment. Now, I’m not sure if the shop I went to thought they could get one over on me or not, but they called later and said that in addition to my alignment that I desperately needed $2400 worth of work done on my 2010 Toyota Camry and that the alignment without all this work done to it wouldn’t hold. So in a panic I asked some friends for a reliable place that I could take my car that wouldn’t take advantage of a woman.The friend’s husband suggested Momentum Tire and it was the BEST decision I ever made taking my car there! I took my car, and spoke to Trey- the manager and explained what the 1st shop said and showed him the paperwork. In less than a hour that my car was in the back he came out and said “well the only thing that was correct out of all this work is that you need 2 new tires!” I was SPEECHLESS and so happy!These guys(and lady) at momentum are a class above any other place I’ve ever been to! From car inspections, oil change, new tires and everything else, I will ALWAYS take my car to Momentum Tire in Gastonia!As a female we shouldn’t be worried of being taken advantage of when it comes to something most of us know little about(cars). There is nothing I hate more than turning my car on early in the morning only to get a caution light telling me to look at my front left tire. Muttering words I will not repeat, I just kept driving down the road to Tire Country only to find Momentum Tire in it’s place!!! Now what? I don’t know them and they don’t know me. I slowed my car to a crawl lowering my window while singing out a hesitant “Hello” . And here came my knight in shining armor welding an air hose. Terry is my knights name. Without hesitation and with a gracious smile, Terry checked my door for my pressure measurements, locked, loaded and did all 4 tires. Time in and out was less then 5 minutes. I’ve used this business for an inspection and for new tires with rotation and alignment. For both appointments, every staff member I came in contact with was genuinely kind and helpful - from calling to make the appointment to checking out. I will definitely be using them in the future!

I brought my Tahoe in to get a tire plugged from a screw being lodged in. I was greeted right when I came through the door, the guys were very helpful by letting me know it might be a while. I was there a little over an hour, but once they were able to plug the tire, it didnt take long at all. There were about 5 people others that came in and the team got them in and out relatively quickly.Thank you guys for keeping Tire Countrys legacy going by providing over the top customer service and getting your customers in and out fast! I will definitely be back. :)

I don’t think anyone is expecting 20-30-40 minute service, but there is definitely a wait for what you’d expect to be a rather quick turn around. At the end of the day this is not tire country so it’s unfair to rate/compare. We miss Steve and the bunch, but I believe in time as Momentum continues to serve the Gastonia area and we continue to give feed back- improvement will come. Just reviewing previous comments I think it’s safe to say there could be improvement on the turn around timing, but of course not if that’s going to interfere with work quality. Outside of the 88 minute wait for tire care and then a replacement, I got to work safely and they didn’t break the bank to make it happen. So thanks Momentum.

Great service at a good price

My son had an issue with a wheel while driving back to college. Got some local advise and limped his car to Momentum Tire & Car Care. We received excellent communication and the problem was repaired quickly and they took care of a couple of other non critical issues he requested as well. Very pleased with the service received and highly recommend!

These photos are from Tire Country was there. We always used Tire Country for all of our 5 vehicles. Honest and GREAT prices, but now they are gone. Have not been to the new owner and Im kind of hesitant about it. They seem to be more commercialized then a home town small business.

I had to wait an hour for my state inspection when I was quoted 30 minutes. The inspector left my headlights on so my battery died when I parked and didnt realize they were on later that day. Also, they didnt mention anything about low tread on my tires and within a week I had to get all 4 tires replaced because of dangerously low tread.

Just had some 37” tires put on my truck they did an awesome job

Took my sisters car here to have her tires checked due to low pressure...we couldnt figure it out but they really took their time into it...checking and rechecking and couldnt find a leak so told me to come back if it does it again. Very good people!

Great customer service helps me every time

There is nothing they are not the best at when it comes to what they do. While you might wait a brief moment for your vehicle to get finished, if your lucky, you might catch the Yoda of cars on the phone answering every question that can possibly be thrown at him. I mean this guy is an encyclopedia when it comes to vehicles.( To the teenagers and young adults ; encyclopedias are what we had before the internet. )

Tire country changed to this place, the older lady and gentlemen at the front were rude. I called they told me a price and when I got there that doubled and I asked one question and he got mad and told them to pull my car out, came back to get the work done and the lady looked at me with disdain the whole time and every question I asked she had an attitude. Prices are higher, people are ruder we need Steve back. They claim to be family owned and all that but I guess there idea of family and Steve’s are different. This is like a cleaner jiffy lube. Spent thousands of dollars there last year and was a die hard even sending all of my friends, family and customers there but this will be the last couple hundred they get. Not saying they do bad work but customer service is a high priority for me. Rant over.

The owner is great. He quoted me the wrong price originally on 5 tires and held true to it. Very professional establishment and I wouldnt take my vehicle anywhere else. True blue local business. Support local shops, youll get the best deal and the best quality work.

What can I say but simply outstanding service here!!!Called yesterday about an issue I was having with my wifes van. I thought it was an alignment issue and the guy on the phone asked me a few questions and told me straight up It sounded like one of the tires was about to fall apart. I came in the next day (late on a Friday no less) to get it looked at and boom problem solved. (He was right)Very friendly, professional and courteous.Looks like I found my new go to place for tires!!

Took our car in for a routine oil change and they found a few other things that were wrong they addressed it with both my mom and I. They were quick and very efficient. Extremely nice people.

Update since Momentum bought it. Very satisfied with the service and the customer service is excellent. Great communication and easy scheduling. It is hard to find people you trust these days. I know enough about cars to know that I dont know enough about cars. They guys at Tire Country have priced us fairly on every bit of work weve had done. They have gotten to know us over the past few years. I feel comfortable when my wife has had to have work done to the car while I am out of town. This place was recommended highly to me when we moved to Gastonia and the high expectations were met with great results. We give it our highest recommendations as well.

This place is great! Ive been taking my car here for years. They are always fair and honest and I like that they sell American. They have short wait times and will work with you if you need to make accommodations. If you neglect to do your homework on inspections, and etc prior to coming in they will be glad to walk you through the process on how to fix it or change it.

These guys wont try to sell you something you dont need. No pushy sales tactics, just informative advice. I couldnt do an oil change myself for the price they charge. Clean, professional and efficient. They also use American made everywhere they can which is a huge plus for me.

Very clean store (the lobby is comfortable and spotless). I’ve never had an issue with any work done here, but the customer service could use a bit of work. The front desk employees don’t come off as rude per se, but they do come off as neutral and cold. Regardless, I still recommend this place because they don’t try to annoyingly persuade you into buying things you don’t need, and the work is always done correctly.
