I’d say they collectively had some of the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. I show up to unload a U-box. Ask the gentleman at the front desk where to go, and he tells me to “take it to the green tent”. So I go to the green tent, no one is there. Go back inside and am told to drive my vehicle to the gate and we will be let in. We drive to the gate. After a short waiting period we are let in. We get in and realize we can’t find our U box. We go back inside. But to get inside there are only two gates to go through with no way for me to open them so I’m forced to jump the gate. I go inside and get the U-box location a a lady at the front desk. I have to jump the fence again because no one attends the gate. I search for the U-box and find it buried two rows back. (In the picture our two boxes are the middle and upper marked in black scribbles. He had to move 6 boxes to get to ours) Mind you we had a 1030am appointment. This should have been ready to go. We wait about another 20 minutes for someone to come with a fork lift. After about 45 minutes of watching this dude struggle to operate a forklift properly he get it to where we can start to unload. Lastly, when we go to leave there is still not a single soul attending the gate. So we have to wait once again to be let out. This location is in the ghetto and the employees reflect that statement very well. I was beyond frustrated with these people. I honestly do not understand how they have jobs, but they should all be fired. Or receive extreme customer service training.
Ive never used this location before and I couldnt be happier. Nathaniel was my CSR and he was wonderful. He gave me a brand new pick up truck and was just so kind and helpful and provided me with other information I needed regarding assistance with moving needs and directions, etc. Ive rented trucks from Uhaul probably about 100 times (for various projects) and it went so smooth and Ive honestly never had a cleaner truck (or one with such low mileage). I plan on using your location from now on.
Very poor customer service. Went there to get my propane tanks filled. Waited in hot sun for 20 minutes. Someone finally comes out and says the person that fills propane did not show up today and they could not fill the tanks. Tried to call before I went back over. The phone is answered somewhere other than the store. They cannot tell you if there is someone there to fill propane or not. Only way to find out is drive over there. That is just really bad customer service.
My sister and I rented a 6 x 12 trailer from here in September. We showed up before they opened. And, they had one person that showed up in the morning. His name is Phillip, and he helped A LOT of people and was doing his best to help everyone. He wasnt rude, or disrespectful in any other way he was manning everything from the front desk, to going out and hitching trailers.
Nathaniel was our service provider this morning. He went way out of the way to help us get the truck we reserved despite mixups in their system. Other attendance at the desk were rude and inconsiderate of our time considering it was not our mistake. This is where Nathaniel stood tall and took over! In this economy any customer that is willing to spend over $2000 for services that they have reserved and someone to make it happen for them is an outstanding employee in our books. Even though there was a problem with our reservation, Phillip was able to fix it. Huge shout out to Miguel, who is probably the nicest person Ive ever met. He went above and beyond to get our truck and trailer connected and U-HAUL is lucky to have him.
After making a reservation online, I had to wait 45 minutes for the lady in a blue shirt who claimed herself to be a storage manager. The least she could have done is let me know of the situation instead of leaving me standing on the for 45 minutes. The front desk agent with the glasses was able to look up my reservation and help me find a unit. Horrible management but great front desk associates.
I had no appointment for a hitch installation, yet the owner, Angelique, and the male employee at the register assisted me for more than 45min in efforts to find me the right parts and the fastest and most cost effective way to have the hitch installed on to my minivan. They called dozens of phones called to nearby stores in the process. One of the most courteous genuine service Ive received in awhile. Thank you guys!

Cannot say THANK YOU enough to Niki, George & Loran at U-Haul-Garland. 48 hours prior to leaving on vacation, I met with Niki to install a hitch I had previously purchased for my BMW X5. She scheduled an appointment for the following day when I learned the hitch I had was not compatible with the car. Niki, knowing I was planning to take my bikes on my trip, immediately began contacting the various U-Hauls to track down the proper model. Once located, she rescheduled my appointment to be 1st the following morning to ensure my travel plans would not change. When I arrived at U-Haul-Garland the following day, George & Loran were awaiting. They did a great job installing, sending me on my way ahead of schedule.I will definitely be back for my next hitch!
How can your whole system be down nation wide (in store and online)? Youll make all this money and can not afford a good working software system, thats ridiculous. I have been here for over a hour waiting. This is a corporate issue not a store issue. Customer service is great but you really need to work on this ASAP for the future.
I stopped at this location to refill my propane tanks and nobody ever greeted me to help. I pressed the button for assistance, and stood there around 12 minutes and never got help. A Uhaul worker showed up in a Uhaul truck to assist someone else, he just stared at me and kept doing his thing. The least he could have done was asked if I had been helped. He looked at me like he could care less. 😠 We then presses the button again and they finally told us someone was on the way...and guess what? No one showed up. So I just left mad! This place of course, has bad service!! I will not come here again! 😡 (No wonder the place was lonely!)
What a horrible place!!first off i had to switch units 4 times because they kept giving me rooms with big pipes coming through the walls so that my fridge wouldn’t fit or they tried to give me an upstairs unit for a 700+lbs fridge and they have no elevator!! i finally got a unit it would fit in after almost 2-3 hours of being there. so First month is free right? i rented in dec and payment should have started coming out in january. my husband and i totally forgot and just realized that no payment has ever came out so i called today to find out that they threw my brand new $2000 fridge away 15 days after i put it in there!! and rented the unit to someone else??? why?? i never got a call, letter, email NOTHING!!! i just received a call saying they a going to file a claim but can’t guarantee payment. to be continued...
I had a relative easy time with my rental. A couple bumps in the road but Jacqueline at the front desk was super helpful and really made my potentially stressful day a breeze. Would come back to this location just because of her customer service.
This is sad, I have never spent this much time in Uhaul and I made reservations. There 4 other workers walking around and 2 checking out this is bull, i will never come here again.

Called multiple times to ask a simple question, sat on hold for a combined total of over 20 minutes, and no one ever answered except once to tell me to stay on hold. Terrible service.
I returned my u-haul two hours before my required time, I even went inside the store to ensure there was nothing else I needed to do. It took this location four hours before they put it back into the system that resulted not only in them charging me a $44 fee but caused me to receive a $35 overdraft fee from my bank. I called to rectify using the 800 number. The person I talked to helped me with the problem and told me I would be contactedwith in 72 hours. Two hours later I received a new email with a recipe stating my actual drop off time. And then another email thanking me for bringing up my concerns and that I would be refunded the $44. And that was it. No apology for the money and time they cost me, or even an acknowledgement of the mistake they had made. I find this extremely unprofessional and it has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I would not use u-haul services again. There is still an epidemic happening and the fact that they were so careless with my money is unacceptable. I truly hope this hasnt happened to anyone before but I cant imagine this was a one time thing. I would not choose this location as a pick up or drop off if you decide to use uhaul.
I was renting a storage space and they raise the rent every couple of months. When it snowed last week they called and told me that their water pipes had burst and my unit was one that was flooded. They had cut my lock before I got there. I lost almost everything and they didnt even show any compassion. Plus they raised my unit rent.
Unorganized, unprofessional. I had made an appointment for a part and when I arrived it wasn’t there. They had to go get it from somewhere else and when almost 2 hours passed and I asked the employee, Brett he just said ‘oh, I don’t know. I sent the individual to do other tasks as well.’ Like what?? I made an appointment, got here super early, you/your system messed up by not it having it here and not only do you not apologize but send the person to do other tasks? Are you kidding me? The whole process took more than 3 hours. Do not recommend!
Im so glad salvador puente checked the trucks after every move. When he did he found my keys to basically everything in one of the moving trucks I used. If he didnt it wouldve ended up God knows where. Thanks again!

Worst place I’ve ever been to wait on propane. Had our lunch waited 45 minutes for someone to come out and fill my tank up no one ever came out what a waste will never go back there again. I would suggest buying another U-Haul they do not answer their calls

Initially looked like U-Haul was going to be a big help but in the end not really... Just is I went in to tent a 20 trailer and auto transport to haul back a 82 long bed pickup. grant was helpful in getting me set up but when I went to use trailer ... It was too small.. all the computer estimates said it would fit.... Ok go to return the 20 truck and transport to exchange for a 10 truck only.... EWhen I get back and check records the price of a 10 truck to 20 turns out to be the same somehow... Hows it that possible??? Very vague w the information and the way they processed the info . Eventually sort out the transport refund by cant explain how a 20 and and 10 truck cost the same.... Save time money and get a completely better experience at Budget down the street. Phillip and Luis are top class there....

My fiance and I moved locally recently and we were double charged for the truck despite bringing it back on time. They said they would refund the fee. A couple days go by and what do you know, not only did they not refund the fee, but they also charged us AN ADDITIONAL $300. And now they wont answer their phones!! Something sketchy is going on at this dealership. Do NOT use this location unless you enjoy getting, as many other reviews here have said, the run-around.
Came in to get a trailer on 2/16 at 3:00.. lady at the front desk was so rude to everyone.. said our debit card declined.. even though it had plenty of money on it.. then gave her 2 different credit cards with plenty on them.. said they declined. Didn’t seem to care about anything at all and was just flat out rude for no reason. They definitely need to replace her.
Loran was very helpful (+3 stars). Sunny seemed nice and helpful, but I didnt work with him. And the lady (Im sorry I was annoyed and wasnt in the right mindset to pay attention to names at the time) that assisted me earlier in the day (I had to make two trips) was also helpful (+1 star).Overall experience besides those three individuals was horrid. These two were helpful - the others (three total, one of which said he was the GM) were absolutely not.If youre working with the lady that helped me earlier in the day (she was shorter (5-52 ish, African American lady - sorry again for not catching your name)) but very helpful) and Loran (dude saved the day after I waited almost an hour to be helped identify the proper car dolly to use for my move) - youre going to have a great experience. Otherwise... I apologize in advance for the time-wasting that youll likely experience.

I came here for the last time today. I was trying to get my propane tank filled. Rang the bell twice before walking around the lot 10 minutes later to ask an employee for help. He said he would send someone. Another 10 minutes after that I called the front office just to be put on hold. 10 minutes of being on hold was enough for the original employee to come and tell me that there was no one there to fill it. Go to the one on Ferguson. This place is always frustrating.

Extremely poor service, they will have you wait for an hour at the propane station while they are chit chatting in the office. This is not an isolated incident, this is the third time this has happened to me. I wont be going there anymore.
What is the point of mobile online “express” registration and payment if you still have to go inside and wait 30 minutes in line to complete the trailer pickup process? Terrible customer experience Uhaul. However, the location staff and service was fine.
Dropped the trailer off well before the due date and learned that they charged me a $20 after hours service fee despite dropping the trailer off in the middle of business hours. Additionally, their drop off bay is far from the actual office and it has never actually had anyone stationed there in the two dimes Ive used this location, so you have to park your trailer, then walk all the way over to the building to get them to call someone to meet you at dropoff.Unfortunately, you dont have any means to contact the business, as their number just routes you through to their customer service line.Overall just a really poor experience. Will not be using this location, or Uhaul again.

I normally deal with a fabulous guy over in Broadway, but UHaul rerouted me here. Construction EVERYWHERE!Plus It was out of my way, waited 2 hours to get the truck.They were suppose to include a dolly and pads which were left out.Plus a car hauler which they told me I had to come back and get.WORST PLACE!! Horrible horrible customer service
I had a great experience here not sure where the bad customer service was one guy seemed a bit cranky but that was it. Everyone was nice and the process was a tad slow but definitely not 1 star slow.
Moving itself is stressful but having to deal with people who can care less if you are satisfied makes moving even more stressful... I called and reserved a storage and truck and the young lady informed me that they had a deal where I could get my first month free on the storage if I reserved the truck as well .... I thought this was awesome well I would find out soon that it was all a misunderstanding spoke with general manager Carlos who didnt even attempt to assist until I called corporate and thats when he decided to help ... even than he stated that they were doing me a favor, even though there associate gave me the wrong information on a recorded line!!! If I could give this place a 0 I would but unfortunately I cant ....
Called this location to rent a 10 ft. truck for a Saturday late pickup. Got confirmation. Then when I went to pick up the vehicle, I was told by middle aged black lady behind the counter that there were not any vehicles available and that I would have to go to another location to pick one up, even though I called this location and there were several vehicles on site.I asked about getting one of the 10 ft trucks there, she said they were already reserved for Sunday... NOW HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE? Why couldnt I have one of those and they could easily send another person on Sunday to the other location?I was told by lady I would have to call other location to verify there was a vehicle I could have after I had already reserved and got confirmation for vehicle at their location.I said why dont you call it is your company and that is what she is paid for. She said the other location is down the street and dont you have Google? do your job, isnt customer service what it says on outside sign? So she preceded to give me the #. I guess she just did NOT want to do too much on a Saturday at 6:45pm.Anyhow, I am looking for employment at the moment, I wonder if her job would be available any time soon.I guess if you go INTO their customer service center. DO NOT GO THE MIDDLE AGED BLACK LADY BEHIND THE COUNTER FOR ANYTHING, BRCAUSE SHES NOT WANTING TO HELP YOU. I have never dealt with a company with such idiots working for them. They do not pick up a phone and call their customer about additional charges that keep showing up. It was not even towed to the right place I rented it from. They are charging me for damage that was already on the vehicle when I picked it up (see photo) and I sent this to them weeks ago. This money they most recently took was deposited by a family member last night for life or death medications that I am now 12 hours from not taking. Rent from Budget or Penske, they know what they are doing and care about what their customers are saying.
Liars and cheats. If you enjoy the runaround go here. If your life is NOT complicated enough, make a reservation here only to have them revoke the promise for pettiness. Jose Vallejo Jr is a total jerk. Claims to be ass.mgr but on a power trip. Try ANY OTHER dealer.

Sept 29 2019. From 10 a.m to 2 p.m this has been the worst customer service experience. If I could give you a no stars I would. This is unacceptable.
Aweful service. Awful location. Mean workers.Shut this place down... Hire more workers... Teach customer service to your employees.
In addition to requesting the standard information (credit card, driver’s license, etc.) the agent at this location also requested four phone numbers in order to rent the pick-up. When asked if this was normal procedure, she pointed to a card in the office clearly stating the need for two phone numbers. When I pointed this out, she became aggressive and stated I do not have to rent the pick-up. After leaving with the pick up the store manager called me saying all four numbers were not working. It appears the desk agent missed one number in the phone number. After correcting it the manager proceeded to order us to return the vehicle. Three out of four numbers worked fine.We feel since we are African American we were made to provide more information, treated as if we were criminals, and our value as a customer was less than others.I would not recommend this location or the manager, Bryan Massong to anyone. I have rented from U-Haul for every large and small moves of my life and if this is the new policy to treat customers I will have to find another vendor.

We paid 30 dollars too have the date moved to our pay date, while he was switching it he suggested that we move to auto pay, since my mother in law was having a double mastectomy in the hospital, one less thing to worry about or so we thought. The auto pay never got set up that was their error and we didnt realize it for two months since we were in the hospital And the surgery turned into 4. There were late fees that they tacked on.i was willing to pay the months i was behind. After calling the store i was told my stuff was up for auction and i needed to pay something on it i drive an hour to get there only to be told they dont take partial payments. I was given the manager number and told he could resolve the issue. Never had a returned phone call. Called customer service over 8 hours on the phone. 8 hours of being hung up on, placed on hold, hung up again and again. Finally I was transferred to a manager who laughed in my face and placed me on hold for over an hour.i picked up a second phone while on hold n called again Im on two phones the manager hung up After leaving me on hold for 2 hours writing that our problem was solved and we were happy. Bold face lie. I ended up paying 530 dollars just to keep my stuff. The manager never called back, everyone is rude! I was told i was 3 months behind when my due date was a week away. They lied about their name so when you talk to someone and say the name i looked like a damn fool, when i finally got to the actual store, i was forced to pay 3 mos at once while they promised a manager would call on Monday. Im still waiting for his call after a month. Ive been a loyal customer even paying extra to make sure Im on time. The company made an error i was willing to pay what i owed but i am not willing to pay for their mistake or their managers failure to contact me then lying and saying he did. NEVER EVER EVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER. IM REMOVING MY STUFF AND NEVER AGAIN USING THIS SAD EXCUSE FOR A COMPANY.
The General Manager of this location, Rickey Conway, has not returned a single phone call of mine and it has been three days. The phone number listed shoots me to a call center and I keep getting stuck in this loop without any help because I need someone at the store level to handle my issue.I’ve been told multiple times by customer service agents that they have spoken to the General Manager about my issue, and he promised to call when he got a chance. I call every day in order to get some help and haven’t heard anything, ridiculous!! The communication and customer service for this location is TERRIBLE. I will never rent with uhaul ever again.
I called in advance and spoke with Cheryl, I stated that I had a propane tank to fill, she said as long as I get there before 5pm, Ill be taken care of. I arrived at the propane station at 4:52, I buzz the intercom. The white male attendant (who refused to give his name) stated they were closed. I responded by saying that the website shows 5pm. Not 4:52, he stated that propane station closes 15 mins prior to closing, I stated that I spoke with Cheryl and she failed to mention that. After that, there was no response. If you just dont want to work, then just quit and find another job. But dont be lazy.
Having rented a car tow dolly several times never have they had to take a picture of my DL. I asked the young lady why was she taken a pic with her cell phone of my license and she said to make it easier to autofill her info. I asked her that I would like for her to type it in directly. She was not happy and after that she was pretty rude.

I wish there was a negative star that i could give them. Uhaul has stolen my money from a refund from a truck rental that i never even pulled off the lot. I have been given the run around for several months now. I am in the process of hiring an attorney so that this never happens to anyone else. I would never use this company if its the last moving company available for free. Takes advantage of people because they have the power.
Both times Ive gone in to rent a trailer I had a great experience with quick customer service. This location has anything and everything you need. These guys were hustling when they were slammed and I appreciated their hard work.

Absolutely the worse experience EVER. I paid $50 for estimated milage however I only used 6 miles but they refused to give me correct refund. Yesterday I called all day and could never get anyone in the local office, customer service emailed them to give me a return call it never came. Seems like they nickel and dime ppl out of their hard earned money. I will never ever go back to this location
I have never had a worse experience dealing with the managers at this location. They never return phone calls or follow up on any questions. On several occasions I was lied to about prices and access to storage units.One if the desk attendants said he was the manager of the store and later I found out who the actual manager was.Honestly I am not able to describe how horrible my experience has been dealing with the employees at this location. At this point I am just trying to get my belongings out.

We found them to be helpful and pleasent. We were in and out of there finding the people to be professional and knowledgeable. We have and will rent from this u haul again. I highly recommend this u haul. We were extremely pleased with them from the begining of the rental to when we turned the truck back in.
I went to have my RV propane tank filled before cold weather set in only to be told that because the tank was more than 10 years old it would have to be REcertified...they couldn’t tell me how I was supposed to do that and said it’s a state law that they have to enforce. After contacting several other propane suppliers I was informed that if the tanks are PERMANENTLY installed they do NOT have to be recertified...U-Haul personnel said they still cannot fill until I can provide written proof of this...seems to me if they are quoting a supposed state law they should know the regulation...never will I grace their doorway again !!!
Customer service at this specific location is horrible. The unloading area for customers is normally occupied by a uhauls employee which makes it difficult for customers to clear their storage unit. I would not recommend UHaul to non one but my enemy.

Ive rented trucks, dollys and trailers at this location and each time was smooth, quick and had great customer service. this is my favorite one to go to in the garland area.
I have rented uhaul I Plano on parker and Los Rios 5 stars all the way but this one in garland is trash the girl dont know the west side of the building from the front she told me to pull to the side when I got there nothing was there so I drove back to the front and parked 30 minutes later some guy slow walking like sloth comes to the truck with a bad attitude like he hates his job said pull up to the trailer it a uhaul rental they have 15 trailer in next to one another didnt tell me what one to backup too just a waste of time and it wasnt a small rental I needed a trailer for 8 days around $200 I will not be going back to this one get better employees or send the to training class to help them with people skills

My experience was the worst day of my life....On 02032016 my son picked up a uhaul for his move he was suppose to return it on Monday at 9:00am...so we spoke to uhaul and extended the rental...So on Saturday I went and paid for the additional days..And extended the rental until Wednesday or Thursday...On Wednesday the noisy neighbor call uhaul and reported it as abandoned....Uhaul did not call us privacy anything the just came and pickup the truck...So I called uhaul and the kept transferring seem like around the world and back..From Custer service to recovery and back...I ask uhaul why did you not contact me the truck was in front of my house thats on the contract..I came in made my payment and told you I would pay for the additional days...Then the rude manager called and said that I need to come and get my belongings out of the truck then they charged my account additional charges..that was not agreed to and said that can charge the. card on file without permission...I was so made at them for charging me without my permission...And then they claimed that they did not know what happened to my deposit that was paid in cash...I will never use them again...If anyone is thinking about using the uhaul on 635 and garland road I would advise dont used them or pay your bill in cash dont give them a credit card they will put charges that you did not agree to.
This place its very bad service I reserve I car before two days and I go to get it to day and they told me no more car and was more then 20 cars outside they are very bad

Slooooow...theres no sense of urgency but on top of that their systems must be horrible. Multiple people that have had mischarges and Im just watching three people go back and forth trying to help each other. Its like a three stooges episode.
The Manager Ray is rude and very disrespectful and has screwed up my bank account during move in and my reservation then only partially refunded me when I was told I would get a full refund. I also incurred 3 overdraft fees bc of it and was refused refund of that as well. Then when I moved out I paid cash for a truck so bank couldnt get messed up and then was refused my cash deposit I was owed and Confirmed with call center.
Always take care of any problem I have with same day service
They have a very bad service.Some of them were being racist. I went to get the Truck that I was supposed to get from them. But they said there arent any, but I saw a lot of them. And the way that they were talking to me was racist.
We had a problem with the wiring on our truck and trailer. It was not even the équipement we got from U Haul. They took care of us and we were out the door in minutes it was awesome.
It was so hard to find this place, the address on Google maps takes you to the opposite side of the hwy, once you find it tho process is usually quick
