I dropped off the car on a Monday to replace inner and outer tie rod ends. I had already diagnosed the issue myself and they also reached the same diagnosis when they did the inspection on the car themselves. They did not try to add additional repairs and the car was done the same day. This repair also requires an alignment and I asked them to make sure the steering wheel was centered and they did just that. No complaints, very satisfied, Juan was very friendly as well.

Ive taken my cars to Munoz for maintenance and repairs since my 20s (Im 46 now) and hes always been professional, fair, and thorough. Its hard to find honest and competent mechanics that dont try to knock you over the head regarding their pricing. I will continue to take my business to Munoz as well as refer friends and family to him for their maintenance/repair needs.

They have their customer’s best interest at heart and would literally speak against sub-par service with other mechanics to ensure you have a functioning vehicle.Some of the best customer service I’ve ever had and highly recommend to anyone who needs work done on the car.

Posted Aug 2015. I have been taking my cars there for about 15 years, and I seriously DO NOT agree with the negative reviews about Munoz Automotive Repair. I owned a 93 Pontiac for 20 years, and Munoz kept it running well for the last 15 years of its life, and never steered me wrong. He does the work on your car that is important and needed, not the work that pads your bill. I could cite many examples in my own experience to back up my opinion of Mr. Munoz and his technicians --I have always found them to be honest, fair, competent, reliable, and trustworthy. Munoz Automotive has earned, and deserves, the highest recommendation.

This place is great and I highly recommended. The owner is in charge of service even though he has many employees he gives personal attention to each client. The work he did in my car was terrific and very affordable. He explained all the details to me and he make sure I was not charge for things I didnt need. Very honest person, the job was super, and my car looks great!!!!!!

Great place for a cheap oil change. The guy who changed my oil didnt like that I smoked in MY car and had the audacity to say You smoke lot in car Learn to speak proper English then well have a conversation 😁

My 2011 Ford Taurus engine failed on me, truly depressing. Town East Ford tried to tell me the fan failed to engage and thats what caused the engine to overheat. They wanted 7k + labor. After my shock wore off I called around to several shops who all told me 3-4k to replace the engine.Enter Mr. Munoz.When I explained to him what was going on he told me to look online find a used engine and he would install with a 60 day warranty on the labor for $1150. Needless to say I jumped on it right away. One week later I got a call that my wifes car was ready to go and it was $100 cheaper than quoted. I highly recommend Mr. Munoz for anything auto you need.Great service all around!! I also recommend buying an extended warranty. Quite a few insurance companies have plans that are reasonably priced.But REALLY THANK YOU MUNOZ AUTO REPAIR!

AC stopped working, Munoz was honest and replaced the wiring harness. Did not try and sell me a new compressor.

Took my truck to get the serpentine belt changed, they changed that but then suggested that I get an alternator change because the pulley was “messed up” so I reluctantly told them to go ahead and do the change. They then outfitted my truck with the WRONG ALTERNATOR. The also said I needed to rebuild my timing chain when in reality after taking it somewhere else, it was just an oil pressure regulator that needed changing. That’s a big price difference between the two and honestly I would just say save your money and go somewhere else. It’s not worth the trouble. I could never bring myself to fully trust these guys either. It felt like they were constantly trying to get more money out of me.

I would recommend bringing your own parts in, instead of buying it from them to save alot of money.

Heard a loud clunking sound at my back wheel well as I drove, that appeared as if something seriously broke off and was now looping around as the tire rotated. After parking it for 1/2 hour then driving it again the sound stopped. I decided to take the suv to Munoz Auto Shop and the mechanic and shop owner spend a good hour inspecting, test driving and taking apart the whole wheel area, then checked all other areas for potential contributors. Although the problem was never determined, I felt safe now driving the car, since I watched as the staff did the full inspection and left no stone unturned. After all this time trouble shooting, I was shocked when the owner told me there would be no charge for the service. I had been a customer of Munoz one other time when they replaced my car’s Starter and their price was almost $200s less than another mechanic and they fixed it in a short amount of time. I’m very happy with Munoz Auto Shop and plan to make them my regular mechanic. Thank you for the great service!

My wife and I have taken our cars to Mr. Munoz for 8 plus years and we are very pleased with his service. The shop is always clean and the quotes are honest and straight forward. I took my car for an AC quote and the tech was able to tell me exactly what I needed for the repairs. - Overall, I would recommend Mr. Munoz and his service.- I would highly suggest going in rather than calling - if you can.

I did an oil change in here! Everything was okay until I found that my truck was licking oil! And I found that I was driving my truck without oil in my engine due to a problem with the oil filter! However, they came to my house and pick up my truck and bring back with the problem fix. I writing this review to alert people to check their vehicles after any services with this guys! Although, they did the right thing fixing my truck it’s my duty to let other people know about this place and their work!

These guys know exactly what they are doing. My dad keeps coming back to them for god I dont know how long. tells me they know what they are doing, do it quick, blah blah blah. Any how I only use them for my oil change. reason for the 3 stars they are TOO EXPENSIVE, prices are exaggerated, examples; I needed a wheel alignment. they charge 60 dollars for my 2 door car. with a 90 day warranty. guys down the street at Broadway and i-30 charged me 40! with a year warranty. another is i needed one of the tire sensors replaced on my tire. called Munoz, he told me my labors $112, not including the 60 sensor. are you serious!! so i bought the sensor at Honda for 25 bucks and took the car to discount tire for a FREE installation, lol oh Munoz. i never come here for big jobs, no thanks too expensive!

Nice place, nice service

Although I have not had actual work done here I deliver parts to them for the customers they do have. I have never had to deliver the same parts for the same vehicle twice. Which is rare for the most part. When I have to deliver parts or redeliver different versions of the same part multiple times to places its a good sign they dont know what they are doing. Out of the 40+ places i deliver there are only 14 that get what they need and dont damage parts while fixing vehicles and Munozs is one of those. Its always clean and everyone is friendly that works there. Not once have I ever been there and seen a customer just standing around waiting for assistance. Until they learned who I was every time I pulled up someone immediately asked if I needed help. Now they look at me oh its just him.. lol which is fine because they always have things ready to go for me to drop off grab payment and get going to my next stop which I appreciate very much.

First of all customer service is terrible and they charge you what they feel like charging you at the time.I asked for an alignment and they tell me about my rack all i want is a alignment on 01 truck and after that was said attitudes were very noticeable. I will never recommend anyone even my enemies to these people i really hated i did business with them st all.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. They dont give you estimates or tell you whats wrong with your car. They take it upon themselves to fix it first then tell you whats wrong and expect you to pay for it. I took mine up there and asked them to check it out and give me an estimate if it was anything serious. 6 hours later I call and they tell me its ready. When I get there and asked why I havent received a call or anything letting me what the issue was or what the price would be, the owners response was I was busy and my son wasnt here. Um whos problem is that! They ordered parts I DID NOT ASK FOR and instead of working with me, his answer to solve the problem was taking the part back off and leaving me without transportation. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Took my truck in. Did some guess work and changed couple of parts cost me $1500. I took the truck and it turned off again. Had them come tow it back up. Repair again cost more money. I took the truck it turned off again after 2 miles. They came picked it up and repaired again. So the issue they fix wasn’t even the issue it was something else. Munoz didn’t had the courtesy to return my money even though he knows he fix something that wasn’t broken. Told me it’s gonna cost another $4000 in parts and $3000 in labor. At that point I got my truck towed and took it to another shop. They fixed the truck and it’s working. Less then A $1000 repair. Don’t recommend. He repairs the vehicles without even getting customer consent before repairing.

In full disclosure I and my entire family has been using Munoz for car repairs for more than around a decade now. We originally tried him when the mechanic shop around the corner came under new management and seriously over charged me for work on a 95 mustang, and then failed to do the job right. Initially I locked horns with Mr. Munoz since I fully believed my car needed a certain item fixed, while he disagreed. I went with his advice and have been waiting for nearly 10 years at this point to prove him wrong, but he as consistently performed flawless diagnostics and repair on the numerous vehicles that I and my 2 sisters, in-law, and even the coworkers I have recommended, own.On top of that his prices are great as well. For example, he generally comes in at 1/2 to 1/4 of the price of my extremely overpriced BMW mechanic, and the similarly extremely overpriced Buick mechanic for my wifes car. At this point, I only have warranty work done on my BMW at the dealership (though I did ask Mr. Munoz if he would replace a high pressure fuel pump for me, but he kindly let me know that BMW warrantied the part to 100k miles and told me to have them do it.) I cant recommend him highly enough.

I would not recommend this place for alignment, first off I got a 2.5 inch lift and new wheels and tires on my 2012 truck and had to realign the truck when I brought it to this place I clearly told the girl in the office what I wanted done to my truck but after ten minutes of work they only aligned the toe, when the specs clearly showed the camber and caster were off and my steering wheel wasnt even straight it was still pulling to the right, when I took it back in to fix the camber and caster and steering wheel they told me they didnt recommend adjusting the camber and caster because it came from the factory like that, but I told the guy my truck had a lift now, he still didnt want to adjust it, I think this guy was upset cause I was telling him wat to do, after arguing a bit, he decided to work on the truck, and still the truck is not correct, he blamed it on my new goodyear tires from discount tire, save your money and go somewhere else, not worth 80 dollars, for all the hassle, and make sure u check u specs on the sheet they give at the end of each alignment, make sure all specs are in green and close to 0.0 cause mine werent, I guess they figure some people dont even bother looking at those specs, these guys are just dishonest and not trustworthy .

Bunch of thieves. Save yourself the TIME and MONEY. They quoted me a price on a specific job then almost doubled the price after the job was done. Thank you Muñoz !

Worst place ever. Got a really bad alignment so I took my truck to them, while testing the vehicle the damage suspension. They would not help in anyway. He still blame me for it, and the technician is the one driving the vehicle.

Conosco Mr. Muñoz for 30 years and I can assure you that has extensive experience detecting and repairing faults mechanical of all kinds of vehicles, I have not conosco other mechanical as honest as has an equip of professionals working with good Principia Morales and Ethics when I came to Texas in 1990, he lent me one of his cars (Toyota Cressida) while you fix mine, thats not easy to forget, I recommend it 100%
