Busy Shop. I arrived at 8 AM and asked if he could replace my spark plugs in a mazda 3, he quoted $240 for a tune-up. Worked for me. He said a couple of hours should be ready at 11. hmmm... mechanic time ;) I left my key and info then walked home for 30 minutes.At 10 minutes after 11 I called he said it would be Noon. I arrived at 12:05 PM and the car was ready. Filters, plugs replaced, good to go as promised. I was out of there for $255 with tax. Fair estimate, Fair price*.*Eldorado Mazda at Mckinney just did some other work for me and quoted $333 for the same maintenance.

Overpriced and poor quality, their repairs never last and they keep fixing stuff without asking. Over $10k in bills and our truck still doesnt work

Took my vehicle in for an alignment. They spent an hour and an half doing the work. Once completed they pulled it off the lift, parked it, and told me it was ready. It was not. They never tested their work, the vehicle pulls to the right hard. They failed to tell me it might need more work done. They didnt check other suspension & steering components. I returned 3 days later to get them to recheck but was given the run around and asked to come another day because their lifts were in use. They told me there was other problems they couldnt address before, but never brought them to my attention at the time. Nothing about my experience made me feel they are an honest shop to do business with.

Very knowledgeable and fast guys. If you need help with your car I highly suggest this place. They know their stuff and they are so nice. Thank you guys for all the help. Im sure Ill be back again.

We had a great experience here. Ken, Don was the main person who helped us, they was friendly and listened to our needs and made every effort to satisfy us. We appreciated his advice and honest his professionalism and his humor. He also helped us tremendously, he took the time to explain things and he made us feel very welcome and after we picked the vehicle up were thrilled and so happy all the work they did.Had been looking into good mechanic repair shop and we found here, that day and this was the place and the people that treated us most like people instead of just potential repair shop, we are very thankful for all the repaired they did for us.A/c engine repaired, brakes, all are very affordable price, and also we like the original parts they put in that belong to.

I usually dont write reviews but these guys deserved one. I took my car in to have some work done on it, and Kenny Tran let me know everything that was wrong with my car, from beginning to end. I trust these guys, and Im a very skeptical person when it comes to auto repair shops. I did a lot of calling around before I took my car here. And I must say that out of everyone I called I really felt the most comfortable with this shop. Never felt like I was being taken advantage, of nor being charged outrageous prices. My car rides like it came off the show room floor again thanks to Kenny and his team. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that he even showed me the old parts that were taken off my car a lot of shops dont do that. And even thought I still need more work done on my car thats no big deal, cause whos number Ive got saved to my contacts now. Yeah thats right Japanese and Domestic Auto Repair. My family has been doing business with this auto shop for years, and they always take care of us and offer fair and honest pricing. They do recommend some things (as a mechanic does) but will always be straightforward in terms of what needs to be done sooner than later. These guys are great mechanics.

They charge me 75 dollars for a diagnostic yet could not give me any answers just gave me a list of what could be wrong when I told him I already replaced a lot of the parts the day before all he could say is i don’t know

Do not go here guys ! The owner would litterly get mad at you if you are not getting your car fix there. He would tell you to leave your car there and don’t mention about a fee if you don’t get your car fix there he would try to get a fee out of you. Do not go here bad business

Went in due to a leak. They were able to fix that but handed me a list with a multitude of other things needed to be fixed. I went to jiffy lube to double check what needs to be fixed and compare prices, turns out the list was a lie. I’m tired of car shops trying to play you into giving them money. I would think twice before you allow them to fix anything.

They were quick with the repairs and ended up coming in under the estimate. Nice! But, they never called me when my car was done...

I am very satisfied with the top-notch service at J&D. They are very professional and knowledgeable. I had previously brought my Mercedes Benz to various other shops in the area prior to coming here without any luck. When I brought it to J&D, Don was able to make a correct diagnosis, quickly. He really knows his stuff! What really made a difference was the fact that he made sure to make note of all the problems I was having and asked thorough questions prior to even looking at the car. I also liked that they took the time to go over all the options with me to ensure that I was making the best decision for my car as well as my wallet.This is by far the best shop I have ever been to. This Review is way overdue. Last year I moved out of state unfortunately had to leave my 2000 honda prelude at Dons shop for an engine rebuild. He did an excellent job! I picked up the car and drove 2,500 miles back just fine. His knowledge on cars is impressive. Thanks Don for everything that you do!

I called this place 4x consecutively because I had a question about a service they provide and they answered all 4x and hung up immediately. One after the other, if you cant even take the time answer your company phone line I can only imagine what horrible customer service they provide.

Beware they will try to sell you on unneeded repairs! These guys tried to sell me on a $900 (discounted rate) brake job for my Acura.They claimed my brakes and rotors were bad and needed to be replaced. That was hard to believe since I had the brakes and rotors replaced less than a year ago. So I got a second opinion which revealed 95% life left on the brakes and rotors in near perfect condition.

Ken and Don are AWESOME! Not only do they provide amazing service, but they give exceptionally affordable pricing! And they literally do everything! I have a Scion Tc and took it to get some performance modifications done and they were able to do everything and for incredible pricing and in really short time frame! Theyve put a Cold Air Intake, Performance Lightweight Crank Pulley, Custom Catback exhaust, and Performance Calipers. As a result i went from doing 300 miles per tank to 400 miles per tank!Since this place is family run, the customer service is great! And as stated earlier, the pricing is GREAT! I now take my car to them for everything! Inspection, oil change, repairs, and performance upgrades! These guys know what they are doing and are beyond trustworthy!

Bad place to bring your car for repair. The bald guy at the front desk, i don’t know his name, will tell you one thing and charge you without calling and let you know the price upfront . Terrible works had been done to my car. You don’t replace a complete brake job every year. Thats a lie . They did a terrible job and will blame it on your driving habit. Stop cheating the customers. Take responsibility for your own bad works .

Awesome, this was the only place that could even figure out what was wrong with my Toyota Celica. They fixed all my issues in 1 day, didnt have to order parts and I didnt have to rent a car.

Fast vehicle inspection -- but then waited 30 minutes without anyone notifying me that it was done while I waited on the repair property. Employee acted defensive indicating that it was all my fault.

Don is the best!!! Been a customer for over 10 years and still come back to him.

They put in a new battery for my car and didn’t charge me labor! Thank you Don and Ken!
