Stayed after closing to make sure we were taken care of, got down to the heart of the problem, worked out a lasting solution. Driving through the country, it’s hard to find a mechanic that will make a same-day appointment. These folks did and I’m so grateful!! They checked over my car and fixed my exhaust in a jiffy! I was back on the road in no time. I really appreciate your help! Thank you, again!!

As my husband and I were traveling thru Gallup and our SUV brakes stopped working, pedal turned hard and had to apply great pressure to stop the car. We told Larry it was likely the boosters, on advise of our mechanic. But he only replaced check valve and road tested it. We picked it up and I drove it around the block, brakes did the same thing. We barely got back to the hotel, where we had to leave it to have a transport company pick it up. Beware of Larry if its a serious problem with your car. Better to take it to a dealership where they have quality control. We had it serviced at our home by Toyota after transport company delivered, it was the boosters, all well now. Thank God

Traveling Route 66 in a ‘55 Chevy Bel Air when ac went out an hour outside of Gallup. Called Larry at 4:30 in evening and he said he would wait for us at his shop. He was able to fix the ac and we were back on the road the next by noon. Very reasonable price on repair. Highly recommend him.

After hearing our family got stranded and an estimate from another shop in Gallup for a new engine, Larry and his young son came in on his off-time to fix our engine valve - damaged by a loose spark plug. This is a great shop! I’ve been coming for years for all of my repairs and mechanical issues. The family is very professional and ALWAYS get things done in a timely manner. Out of all the other mechanics that I have gone to, Larry’s is by far the best and I would recommend them over anyone else in the Albuquerque/ Rio Rancho area. Five stars all day!

We broke down in Gallup on a Friday night and found Larrys right before they were closing. He still came and towed us to his shop and stayed hours later to help get us back on the road. Larry’s was recommended by a friend after my check engine light came on the morning of my first day of work. Being new to the area, I was very stressed trying to organize a repair and balance work but Larry was so professional, timely and honest. He went above and beyond and even ensured I had no problems after I had picked up my car. 10/10 service.

The interaction in the beginning was a bit of a challenge, however, the customer service during and after was phenomenal.They repaired 9 code issues and provided a detailed what and why and I felt very informed and my concerns were all answered and explained.They are definitely my go to now.

Larry put a water pump and drive belt in my Dodge for a very fair price. He was friendly, attentive and got the job done within a few hours of my first phone call. Fixed my alternator quickly and efficiently. Easy to arrange an appointment to have my truck repaired. Could be a bit more engaging in terms of explaining what needs to be done. My truck got fixed and well, that was what I went to Larrys for.

I was driving from Denver to Phoenix on a Friday and my car lost power 25 miles from Gallup on I-40. Figuring I needed an alternator I arranged a tow truck and started calling shops. The first 11 would/could not help me until Tuesday. Leyba auto gave me Larry’s number. He was great. Found an alternator ($139 for a Lexus) and said it would be waiting when I got there. I walked down the street for some lunch and when i got back he told me it was not the alternator but a wiring harness that got sucked in to the fan. He repaired all of the wires and charged me less that $100. I happily tipped him well and got on the road to Denver. Hewas a nice guy and a straight shooter. His shop may not be the prettiest, but, to quote Springsteen, you ain’t a beauty but hey you’re all right! Thanks Larry.

No quality costumer service, asked questions answered with more questions. It was a joke. Very questionable. Got what I wanted done, just to find out somewhere else the work they did should have included a bit more service.Not going back also dont go there workers all look puzzled no help.

My truck broke down and he was the man fixed it and got me back on the road I highly recommend his shop truck runs better then before !

I attempted to replace my water pump but could not get the darn fan clutch hex off so I brought my truck in and it was replaced within 2 hours. I appreciated the feedback he provided and the efficiency. Now, my next worry is possibly my oil pump but I am not hesitating to bring my truck back to him. I reecommend his automotive repair business to anyone.

Honest and Helpful Mechanic!! Driving through Gallup on a long road trip my aunts check engine light came on. She called me to ask what to do (shes elderly and driving alone). I called around for her and Larry was willing to come to his shop and check her engine light right away (we called pretty early). She was back on the road quickly and he only charged her $40 for a minor repair. THANK YOU LARRY!! We appreciate you keeping Aunt Connie safe!

Amazing place! Dont hesitate to go here. Driving cross country pulling a trailer and of course a brake line blows. Not only did he help us immediately and without a second thought, he had to find a way to make a part since that part woudnt arrive for two days. All this happened at the end of the day right at closing time and he was nothing but friendly, helpful, and truly a great mechanic! Beyond appreciative they are so kind and take the time to help people! We are forever grateful!

Larrys Automotive saved the day!My car broke down in Gallup while driving cross-country in December. Larry helped me first thing upon opening his shop that morning. Turned out my cars rack & pinion was completely shot. Not only did Larry call around to get me the best deal on a replacement that same day, but he patiently explained the mechanics of the part as well. He also found a large bubble in one of the tires that a previous mechanic had missed just days before. Had Larry not caught that and replaced the tire, I wouldve found myself broken down again in no time someplace else.Larrys work is efficient and communicative, his prices are fair, and most of all, Larry is truly kind. Larry and his crew took care of me when no one else would. I was originally going to his shop, but the shop next door talked to me before I could. Led me on a wild goose chase to three shops tot who had no time for me before I finally went to see Larry.Told him my problems. He said he was also busy, but took a look anyway. Half an hour was all it took for him to diagnose more problems than I knew I had. Even though he was not able to fix it today, he was accommodating to the last minute, even helping to find parts and options to tow home.Thank you again gentlemen.

Larry is the best. We are on a big cross country road trip, scraped the bottom of our car at a gas station and got scared that we ruined something. It was 4 minutes to closing when I called but he said to take it in. Looked like he had just left the shop or was getting ready to but dropped it to help us out. He assured us that all was well and we were back on the road again. What a relief. Thank you so much.

Great service. I broke down in Gallup. Larry towed my car in after 6pm and got it fixed the next day. I live 30 min away. When the repair was finished, Larry offered to take the car for a testdrive to pick me up. That was a life saver.One month later, the car is still going strong with no problems. Larry went above and beyond. He came down to where we had been stranded. Gave us some advice and then guided us all the way too the shop, he made sure we got there safely. He has excellent service and got our car completely running again in under and hour. With a broken battery belt and pullie. I LOVE THIS SHOP. 100 STARS

Larry and his team were great! I had a major failure with my brakes on my way across NM, and thankfully they made time to take a look at it right away. They worked after-hours to get my truck back on the road, and the pricing was honest and straightforward. No nonsense, and great work. They did it right, things like using torque wrenches instead of guessing, and washing the brake fluid off my tires before putting them back on.Thanks Larry and team!

5 stars isn’t enough! Our Jeep started to have problems on our way to Denver from Arizona, after calling a few mechanics we were able to get a hold of Larry. My truck broke down on the way to Arizona on the 3rd of July, these guys stayed open past closing for us to bring it in and get us back on the road. They were friendly and honestly made our 4th of July enjoyable and saved us a lot of money that we would have had to pay for lodging as we waited for the holiday to be over. Travelling across the country with my kids and had an problem with my car. Found this shop on line. They promptly fixed my car and we completed our trip. I cant thank them enough. Cant beat the cost either!!

Driving through and with 3 hours left on our trip the alternator decides to start acting up. So thankful we ended up in Gallup. I cAlled and they said they could fix it in about 1.5 hours and get us back on the road. And they did. Just make sure to have cash. Credit cards not accepted. But luckily there was a grocery stores just a block down that had an ATM. Great guys and very reasonable for emergency repairs.

I was traveling across country when my truck wouldnt start. I called Larry after he had locked up for the night. He came and towed my truck AND trailer and took it to his shop. Amazing customer service. He diagnosed the problem and had me back on the road very quickly. Larry even sent extra parts with me in case it happened again before I could reach my destination. Absolutely would take all my vehicles to Larry if I lived nearby.
