I ordered four tires from Sears (online) with the installation and balancing. After reading the reviews here, I got concerned about the wait time and quality of service. However, I decided to try it out myself. The tire replacement with balancing and alignment took only 1 hour and 30 min. The stuff was very respectful. Although they might try to sell a few more services they still respect your decision. The bad reviews might be because of inconsistent service. HOWEVER, in my experience the service was GOOD and the stuff were very respectful.Between 1hr-2hr is okay for the tire change because there are a lot of safety parameters that they have to check and double check to make sure the customer is safe and vehicle and is safe to operate.
This place is horrible and needs to hire more people. they have the same people who are working on cars, answering the phone. i had a 4:00 appointment and didn’t leave until 7 which is when they close. for an oil change. the waiting room is very dirty. customer service sucks. there’s no welcome or “we will be right with you” everyone does what they’re doing until you speak up. good prices but don’t go unless you have a morning appointment. even then it may be an issue. I also had a coupon that they said i couldn’t use or get the discount because it’s “wrong online”. ok. maybe you should fix that.
I am very pleased with your staff. They are very courteous and professional. Every time I come there for my car work, they treated me with respect and always answer my questions and concern. They take time to explained what is needed to be done. Whenever I make appointment to bring my car I dont have to wait. I highly recommend Sears auto center for any car work.
The personnel were very Professional and gave a 15 percent discount for tires that were still within the warranty period. I will definitely take my car there again.
I usually went to this place for oil change and other car repair works. Today(07/11/19) the front desk personnel just look at my name and replied we dont do you car within 6 hrs,we have lots of appointment. To begin with,He didnt want to hear why I was there for. However, the manager offered me to do my car in 45 minutes but i wasnt comfortable to give them my car and I left their facility. There is no wonder if sears continue losing money and close its stores because of such rude employees
I went for an oil change a couple times, and both experiences were not bad at all! Obviously I was concerned with the reviews, but my experience was the opposite. Service was fast, they took very good care of my car, and everything was just as advertised. The service and the employees could have been more accommodating, but aside from that good experience!
Found a nail in my tire that was really making it low Sunday afternoon. This was the only place I could find that could patch it before closing. They patched the tire fine but the serviceman wanted to switch out the spare, which was a better tire but on a different kind of rim from the others. In the process of removing the spare from the rim, the technician ripped a hole in the sidewall, making it useless. So now I have to find another spare tire.
This sears service location is horrible. They are slow, lack customer service skills, and knowledge of the job. I took my car there for a simple tire inspection. They did absolutely nothing. Dont do business here!
Staff is friendly but thats it. I had 4 new tires installed, alignment and balance of tires done. It cost me over $800 a few days later when driving at 60 miles my car was shaking allot. I immediately took it to the dealer who told me the car was not properly balanced . I was expecting better service from Sears. I lost a days work to fix something that should have been done right the first time.
One star is too much but unfortunately can not give less...Scheduled appointment for oil change...Arrived there on time, than had to wait 15 min for guy who was talking on the phone to be served...finally got served..he told me to wait 45 min for oil change...After 1hr and 20 min waiting finally they did it...they are using pitcher to pour oil in the car...Not sure even that I got what I paid, because oil inside was so dark (paid for full synthetic)...Could be any cheap oil since they dont use original factory packed oil...Went home and realize that they overfill my engine with almost 1 over the max line, when I checked the level...They wont see me there again...
Stopped by yesterday evening and arranged to buy 4 tires and have them installed, said I would drop car off in the morning before they opened on my way to work and left the key and description of auto/license plate etc with sales clerk. Went back this afternoon to pick it up and they hadnt even looked at the car, and when I inquired they claimed they could not find it even though it was parked in the parking spot closest to the door plus they never even bothered to call me. They didnt even apologize so I am taking my business elsewhere where my $$ might be more appreciated.
What a rip-off. Well, an attempted rip-off. I knew my breaks needed to be replaced so I brought it here for a quote. After 2 hour wait for evaluation, they tried to tell me I would need $700 worth of replacements for break pads, calibers, rotators...etc. after essentially telling them they could shove it, I took my car to a very reputable mechanic in Woodbridge Virginia. They said the only thing that needed replacing was the break pads. I spent $200. I saved $500 by NOT going to sears. Dont waste your time and money. Do your research. Oh...and it also only took the mechanic about 30 mins to evaluate, whereas Sears had my car in air for 2 hours before giving me a rip-off quote. No thanks :)
I have been here a couple times and I remember the bad reviews had me concerned however when I called to talk about what I needed before deciding to come, the guy I spoke with was amazing and patiently answered all my questions and even gave me other information I needed to know about the service I was looking for. Each time I come here everyone is courteous and they honor your appt time and will have someone work on your car right away. They listened and havent tried to sell me something extra I didnt need.Never had to come back as a result of faulty work and there warranties are great on tires and the tires are excellent in all weather. The only thing I would change is the waiting area it a bit dirty, plus it would be nice to have coffee or something other than the snack machines, especially for the early morning appts. :-)Remember.....Make an EARLY morning appointment and service is even faster!
I have only had good experiences getting my car serviced here. I have had tires put on, front end alignments, and batteries replaced. The staff seem well qualified and are very friendly. However, they are usually understaffed and sometimes the wait is longer than expected. I only gave 4 stars because of that. If I can, I drop the car off and come back for it.
What a horrible experience. Came in for an oil change; they told me I had a weak battery but had no batteries in stock. Left me a dead car in the lot. Told me I should get a battery from autozone to start the car. So, in a nutshell, came in for an oil change, got a dead car in exchange. Is this place a joke or what? Sears - congrats on being a has been.
Every time. I go I have no issues for my oil changes here . They do a great job Been going there for last 7 years .
They broke Lug Nut and Stud then they asked $56.98 which I said hell no. Additionally, my Michelin tire has defects and still under warranty, they asked $96 and they informed me that Michelin offered $39 off only . I called Michelin to verify if this information is correct and they said they dont have any case or records of this claim. I believe this is a fraud shop.I dont recomemnd anyone to go there.
Took my car to Sears for a routine tire rotation (included with purchase of tires). They left two lug nuts completely loose. Four others were not torqued properly. Two wheels started wobbling due to loose lug nuts. Had I not caught the problem myself, a wheel could have come off while the vehicle was in motion and their could have been a serious accident. They also broke four of the plastic lug nut caps. And as a final touch, they rotated the tires left to right / right to left instead of front to back / back to front. (Radials should always be rotated front to back / back to front.)
On 11/27/2017 I did my oil change service at this store (Store #6544). The 2014 Honda CRV model comes with a Metal plate with Screws under the car that protects the oil drain plug and filter from dirts, rust, and water splash. Can you imagine what wrong they did? The so Called Auto-Certified Sears mechanic forgot to put back that metal plate after he changed the oil and filter. This is a very good explanation of negligence, irresponsible, and shame for a major Retail store like Sears. I came to know that my Car doesnt have metal plate after 5 months when I did the next oil change at Valvoline Instant Oil change store. VIO guys informed me that the previous oil change station might have forgot to put the metal plate back. Although Metal plate is not an important auto parts without which you cant drive the car, however the saddest part is the carelessness of a Sears Auto technician. Thank god, it was just an oil change which I used to do in Sears. I cant expect what would have been the situation if I did other major auto services like Engine services, vital fluid changes, etc in this store. So, I would recommend you to check by yourself what they doing. Did they put the parts back to your Car ? Did they put the right oil which you paid for ?
Brought my truck in for (4) new tires installation which I arranged with a purchase of the tires pre-shipped to Sears from Amazon. It was my 1st time trying out this coordinated purchase/install by two different parties. I arrived a half hour early and the service desk was not busy at 8:30 AM. They were anxious to get started on a Monday morning, knew exactly who I was, and what I was expecting. They asked me questions and answered all of mine. I also chose to add a front-end alignment which added another hour to the total service which would have been only an hour of installing the tires themselves. I was out of there by 10:30 AM. I was very impressed by everyone that works there - from the Manager, Anjum Rahim and Steve, the head Technician/Service Manager to the installers, always keeping me informed during my waiting. While a group of us customers were waiting in the waiting area, Anjum came in to ask us how we may suggest improving their service, the waiting room, etc. She was very sincere and truly looking out for the customers interest and perspective. We told her coffee and tea are not as important as perhaps updating the waiting area, but as I later told her and her staff, what the customer really wants and expects is a fair price for the services they offer, executed by a competent staff, and I received that today with efficiency and a pleasant experience.
Horrible experience. Wont take responsibility for property damage, havent heard anything lately to help me with what they done.dont waste your time. Quality>quantity so head to a dealer.
Horrible Service.. They are experimenting with your cars, I am not sure if they have knowledge/experience in what they are doing/supposed to do on your car. I went to change my tires and as I was there anyway, I have asked them to do the OIL change also but they messed up lot of things on my Car like Oil Pan Threading, Gasket etc., and Oil was started leaking from the Car due to this. I had to spend $575 to get it fixed by a dealer. When I went to complain the same, they responded very rude and their claiming that I didnt bring the car back to them to show the damage. How do I trust them and give my car again to them as they have already messed it once?
Ive been calling for 2 days no ones answer the phone when someone finally didnt answer my call back continue to ring I call back someone answer I asked if this was the Sears at Montgomery County AR Lakeforest mall and they hung up I called back 7 times no answer poor customer service
Not impressed with staff.....my car....an older car broke down towed to this place. I told them what was originally done. But they kept insisting to try and refix it. Towed to another shop turns out it was a different issue.
Took the technicians 5 hours to get my oil change done then they told me my oil pan was leaking and they need to replace it..took another 3 hours to get it done. And they Need to find a new cashier cuz all they do is just convince you to get more stuff done to your car that dont need fixing. Hate them. I do not recommend this shop to anyone..
This is by far the worst service I have ever received. Very unprofessional. Not able to perform simple tasks and the technicians act like they arent interested in doing any work. I will let everyone know not to ever use the lakeforest location.
I have read several reviews about Sears auto center and some were good some were bad. I do take these reviews into account however I like to make a judgement by my own experience. Sometimes we as customers do not understand how retail business works and expect a service at microwave speed. My husband and I called in to Sears auto center at lake forest as needed tires for my Honda accord. Usman answered the phone and he asked some questions and I made an appt to come next day to get them. When my husband and i arrived, we got in line and waited for our turn. The gentleman ahead of me was getting antsy for no reason. We all are in line and you are at an auto center dealing with cars not at McDonalds where your oil change can be done properly in 5 mins. Anyways, we got to the register and Usman was there. He took care of our paperwork and told us wait about 2 hours to get 4 tires and alignment and all inspections done.Of course 2 hrs is long but how many of us complain at our doctor office when they dont see u right away. I am sure not many since we know they are docs. Anyways our car was done in 1.5 hrs (less time than stated earlier) and everyone was polite, techs and management (Usman as he is the assistant manager and this is whom i interacted with) included.I have read several **bad** reviews left before mine and I think to myself that as a customer did you bother to take a second to see and comprehend where you are standing. Would you like to get a half ass service and have issues OR would you rather get stuff done properly. We as customers need to give credit where it is due and stop freaking act like every place of business is McDonalds where you will get your stuff done at microwave speed.AK.
I was mistaken for me to start repair my car in Sears Auto Center under warranty. If you have not others think to do the service day than come her. It will waist your day.
Good service; they give you personal service.
I will never go to this place again. I had an appointment scheduled for 9/25/17 at 3:00 p.m. I arrived at the location at 2:50 p.m. and noticed over 8 cars in the shop. I asked the attendant how long will it be and I have an appointment scheduled for 3. He tells me 2 hours! What! What is the point in scheduling an appointment if it is still a 2 hour wait.
Sears Online Appointment Is Only a Joke. I made an service appointment online and got a confirmation email. Went to the shop on time but was told they are full. Showed them my appointment confirmation, and they said that confirmation doesnt count and that it has been a long time problem that the online appointment thing does not work. As a potential customer, do I know (or care) if this only an online appointment system problem or a shop management problem?
The guys at Automotive are petty awesome
Fast service love this place
Supposed to replace break pads. They required to replace everything. Rude technicians. Never a fair and convenient auto service.
Worst service ever, try to schedule an alignment, guy on the phone was nasty, he ask for all my info and at the end the car model and at that point he told me dont have info for that car on the computer, I know for a fact that cant be done here and he hang up on me!
Dick heads answering the phones fr
