They did an excellent job at explaining not just all of the aspects of the car, but all of the details surrounding the warranties and financing as well. We had a great experience buying from these folks. We had done research online and said we wanted to compare two models. When we arrived, they were both parked next to each other out front, freshly washed. The salesman started by explaining and showing the differences between the models, then accompanied us, patiently, on two test drives, then a repeat to verify our pick. No BS on the pricing -- they have a no-haggle policy.They wanted our used car; we said we were planning to sell to CarMax down the street. They said go get a price from them and theyll meet it less some small fee. They did.This was the easiest car-buying experience weve ever had. Well be back.
My goodness, this was the quickest and most pleasant car buying experience Ive ever had. I was in and out of the dealer in about two hours including test drive.I worked with Todd in Sales and Amin the Sales Manager. Todd was super professional and never pressured me. When I arrived, the car was out front and I was test driving it within minutes. Todd was extremely friendly and low key and went through the features of the Mazda 6 while patiently answering all of my questions.The experience felt more like I was chatting about a car with a fellow enthusiast, rather than a sales person. Of course, I decided to buy the car and thats when Amin worked quickly and professionally to establish all of the paper work. He is also an extremely kind person and I enjoyed interacting with him greatly.I just could not believe I had found the exact car I was looking for, and was able to complete the purchase with zero hassles. Granted, I came in prepared, which I recommend to anyone ready to purchase.Heres the best part, this particular dealer has an agreement with the MVA and can produce a registration and permanent plates on the spot! Thats right, I already have my registration and it means I do not have to drive around with temporary tags. Weve bought several cars over 25+ years at Rosenthal Acura and the sister dealership Gaithersburg Mazda and have had excellent purchasing experiences each time. We had bought a new 2015 Mazda 3S, which we really enjoyed, but last summer decided to buy something a little bigger for carrying bikes and traded it in on a low mileage 2016 Mazda CX5. We purchased an extended warranty since the car was just out of factory warranty when we bought it but we got a good deal.Recently the CX5 had developed a noisy drivers seat mechanism and the Navigation screen would not function in cold weather. I did some research and found Technical Service Bulletins for both issues, so I made an appointment to have them looked at. Angela was very helpful taking my information and setting up my appointment and Jake was my contact in the service department. I showed him the TSBs and a copy of the warranty and he took it from there.Long story short, the warranty company at first turned down the coverage, but Jake went to bat for me and finally got it accepted. His efforts saved me almost $900. They even took care of a recall while I was there and the repairs were well performed by Jorge.Thanks Jake and Gaithersburg Mazda!
Incredibly UNPROFESSIONAL experience. End of June I purchased my first vehicle (used). Everything went fine, but received a check in the mail with vague description and no communication from the dealer in July. First time buying, so assumed there was a miscalculation with the DMV. End of August still hadnt received my license plates. I emailed and got a voicemail several days later telling me there was an issue at the DMV and I would have register the car myself once I fix the violation. I take responsibility for my part in not asking what that check was for, but and the end of the day I paid a lot of cash for this car and they are in the service industry. The least they couldve done was followed up with a phone call when they couldnt register my car. With COVID, appointments are at least 3 months out so I called both the dealership and the person who left a voicemail to ask for help and didnt receive a call back. I regret purchasing this car from here. Despite the DMV and communication issue, the car sales man was not sensitive to the fact this was my first car purchase and basically made me feel stupid for valuing KBB. Overall, couldve been worse, but I didnt appreciate their ultimatum tactic, scaring me out of looking at other dealers before I decided or else their deal was off the table.Its been almost 2 weeks since Ive called for help with my car registration and no help. Please take this feedback and improve for customer service!!!!!!!
I just bought a CX-30 and the entire experience was fantastic. I started before the car was available (its a new model) and dealt with Todd Patton. He was very helpful but not pushy. He tailored his contacts to my preferred (email) method and kept me updated on when the model would be available. Once they were in, we had a test drive and he handled the purchase. Of the seven cars Ive bought over 2 decades in 3 different states, this was the most pleasant experience yet. Todd was a big part of that, and I highly recommend the dealer and Todd in particular if you are considering a Mazda! :-)

Todd was great! I scheduled a test drive online. He called to confirm and learn more about the cars I was interested in (a new Mazda 3 and a Certified Pre-Owned Mazda 6). When I arrived for the appointment, he had the 3 waiting out front, and brought the 6 around while I was test driving the 3. Seamless, friendly, low pressure service. Ultimately, I ended up going with a VW Golf - nothing wrong with the Mazdas (my girlfriend has a CX-5 that we love), I just really enjoyed the Volkswagen and was able to find one with a manual transmission. Anyway, even though I ended up not buying from this dealership, I appreciated the respect and professionalism I was shown, and would definitely recommend it!
I rarely write reviews but I had a great experience at Mazda Gaithersburg specially with the sales gentleman Joe. If you want a good experience and no sales pressure you have to check this place out and ask for Joe. I found him to be very positive and uplifting. I’m leaving this review despite the fact that I ended up not buying a Mazda. I found the management team to be reasonable as well.

Hi! Im the dummy who came in with a key fob that didnt work. I had changed the battery myself and it wasnt until I walked to the service desk that it occurred to me that it might be in upside down.Fortunately, Steve was there to give some good natured ribbing and quickly pop my fob open, point out the giant + sign and put the battery back in. Really appreciated it and definitely appreciate the fact the guy was happy and enjoying himself at work!

After multiple attempts to allow them to fix the problems, it is time for a review. I bought a car from these guys and while I love the car, I didnt love my experience with the sales team.Joe was my salesman and he was super nice but he wasnt honest. I needed a new car because mine was totaled and so I was in a rental. After deciding to buy the new car from Joe, he told me I could leave the rental there because they had arrangements with Enterprise. I asked him if I needed to fill up the tank because it was lower than when I had gotten the car. Joe assured me that wasnt necessary because when returning to a dealership things are different. He also promised a gift card for gas because the car I bought was almost empty and it was too late in the evening to fill up.A few days later I got a bill from Enterprise for not having enough gas in the tank... I sent it to Joe and he said there was nothing he or his managers could do and he was sorry for the misunderstanding. I also let him know multiple times over several weeks that I had not received the gas card I was promised. It is now 4 months after purchasing the car and I still have not seen this gas card.It took a lot of negotiating to get a fair price on the car, I dont feel like I got a great deal and this nonsense with the gas is enough to tip me into the will not return category for this place.

Was not impressed with this dealership. Upon entering, the person who greeted us directed questions at my male partner when I was the one interested in buying a car. I felt like they werent taking me seriously. When I asked about test driving a miata, I was told there werent any to test drive, and there was one sitting right outside. Im not going to buy a car without test driving it

I hardly write review about any vendor. I purchased my car from this center. Recently I used this Mazda service center to replace my rear brakes, one fine morning the entire car started smoking from the rear. when I took it to the Mazda service center, I was told that the compression failed and asked me to pay another $600 for fixing the same rear brake compressor. The reason that was given is thats problem with some model, which I dont understand why was this problem was not identified earlier, when the car was running all 3 years without any problem.I also didnt get any convincing answer as to why this hasnt happened after rear brake replacement.
Despite making an appointment the sales person we where going to meet had a customer when we got there so we had to wait. Then they gave us a different sales person who we also had to wait for. Then they couldnt find the car. Then they couldnt find the key. Did I mention we had an appointment to look at this one car? Overall it took about five hours to get in and out and we spent most of that time entertaining ourselves .

First of all great customer service from the moment I walked in. Maynor is a great salesperson let me test drive the car I wanted to see right away, help me with financing and overall made it an easy process. The rest of the cars on the lot were also reasonably priced. Definitely worth the time to check if your in the market for a vehicle.

I called 3 other dealerships and all said we can return at any mazda in the nation. Finally i returned the car at rockville mazda. Thanks to bill for helping at the last minute. You better be careful buying a car here and make sure you check everything within the warranty you were give. i was sold a 2009 Toyota Camry which was burning oil so i have to change the oil every 3000 miles found out about the issue after 2 months of buying took the car back i was told the 30 days warranty had pass and there nothing they could do. Make sure your eyes is wide open and you seek a second opinion before parting with your cash because all they are about is to get your money.

The service is normally great here. The technicians really know what they are doing and they are looking out for their customers. This time, however, I ended up sitting in the waiting room for over an hour after being told my car was almost finished being serviced. It was finished, but my key was misplaced and no one came to notify me that my car was finished being serviced. So I wasted an hour waiting in the service center when I should have been at work.

For some reason, my car battery died at work (I just bought the car yesterday). I called Mazda to help. Deon, my wonderful service dude, flew in to save the day. He arrived in a timely manner (to my office!!!), and knew exactly how to take care of my issue. I will remember to turn all dome lights off upon exiting my vehicle, and make sure to call and harass my service dude if i run into any further troubles. Rey and Todd were responsive and friendly; they knew the cars inside-out and were transparent with pricing. Even though I ended up purchasing a different vehicle due to factors outside of their control, my experience shopping with them was pleasant and they made sure to follow up again afterwards.
They are expensive and they treat you like you dont have a brain. In all the time Ive had cars, Ive never had to wait so long and pay so much for what were basic repairs. A radiator and seals for tail lights was almost $900.00. The reason for an almost $300 price tag to change two $21.00 seals was to clean and make sure they are in good shape of the tail light assembly. The free 27 point inspection failed to notice a non-functioning rear turn signal, which was documented on the original service order and supposedly included in replacing the seals and making sure the assembly was in good shape. When I got in the car, the right turn signal didnt work. They failed to replace a fuel filter but charged me for wiper blades that I said not to install. They tried to charge for a specialist to see why water was leaking into my trunk, which was because the tail light gaskets were worn--then told me the mechanic knew exactly what the issue was because he had so much experience. Their mechanic was highly skilled and based on a recommendation, thats why I went there. But nothing he did could not have been done by an independent shop with basic automative skills--I dare say I could have replaced the seals using YouTube. Will look for a better solution to Miata repairs and maintenance in the future. In all fairness, I do believe the mechanic knows his stuff. Too bad hes working for this place.
After looking at many cars online and in person at a couple different dealerships, we finally came here to look at a car. This dealership has the WORST repair department. Our brand new CX-9 had some error/malfunction messages displaying a couple of times. They suggested to replace a blind spot camera (quoted $2000 out of our pocket) but we fixed it on our own with simply changing the angle of the camera. It got slightly hit somehow and had to be calibrated. After another error message (engine start/stop button not working) and absolutely no help from them - we decided to stay away from this location.

Long story short, the dealership took in our car for service, and messed up the paperwork, causing delays in our car registration. When we called, they were very apologetic and fixed the situation within 24 hours, and refunded our money. Honest people.

Great experience from a first-time Mazda buyer. Sri was a great salesman, not pushy and took time to answer all of our questions. Our negotiations were fair. Impressively, Sri followed up with us multiple times after we got the car. He made us feel less like a sales number and he seemed genuinely concerned that we liked the car and knew all of its features. Very nice, knowledgeable salesman. However, the manager is a rude and incredibly condescending. They have sleazy sales tactics, that I havent experienced since the 90s. My past experiences buying my past 4 new cars at Jim Coleman and Fitzgerald dealers were much faster, better, straightforward and enjoyable than Gaithersburg Mazda.I walked out in awe by treatment of the manager. It is no wonder that he dealership was empty, while the surrounding dealers were packed. I would not recommend at all!

I bought a 2011 Mazdaspeed3 from this dealership a year ago I know the review is late. Nonetheless, I had a great experience there and got a great car at a great price and the car has had zero issues whatsoever since I have bought it. Very happy with my purchase I drove all the way from Vineland NJ to pick up the car which is about 3 hours away and I was not disappointed at all. I would definitely go back to buy a new Mazda from them if I ever decide to part ways with my Mazdaspeed3.

Just bought my first Mazda at Gaithersburg Mazda. I hate car shopping and dread going in and spending hours trying to get a good deal, and all the back and forth you always have to go though. All I can say is WOW what a difference I just had! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Jonathan Parker, the best salesman Ive ever met! He wasnt even a salesman, he listened to what I wanted and asked all the right questions. He matched me up with exactly what I wanted and then got me under in my payments that I needed. It was actually a pleasurable experience and I cant believe Im actually saying that about buying a car! Then there was Amin, the financial expert! He was the kindest man. It was late Friday night, and to get me a good loan he called the the vice president of the bank at home! Wow, I can honestly say I will never go anywhere else to buy a car. Still shocked over how great of an experience it was. You Rock Gaithersburg Mazda! Oh, and when I went out to get my CX5, they put a bow on the hood! I was just teasing about wanting a bow, and they just went above and beyond to make me happy.

Started the process of buying a car from them, and stopped because they were dishonest. Messing with the numbers to cheat someone out of thousands of dollars might work a lot of the time, but when the person youre trying to do it to tells you that he works in accounting, you shouldnt try it.
I bought a used 2008 Mazda CX-9 from them. The car had a few minor things that the dealership promised me that they would fix but they never did. The car had a bad key, and a few missing trim pieces. We left the vehicle with them for an entire week after purchasing it and they assured us it would all be fixed. When we came to pick it up, none of it was fixed at all. Then 3 days later we came back and only half of it was fixed and the key still didnt work. After all that they said they would deliver the car the next day and fill it with gas. They brought the car the next day with a 1/4 tank of gas and the second key only worked for 2 days. Also 2 of the trim pieces are still missing to this day. I felt they did not care and did not deliver on their word. I like my Mazda car and will purchase another Mazda in the future but it will not NOT be from them!
I have just purchased my second Mazda 6 from the kind and wonderful people at Gaithersburg Mazda. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. John Haddad, Gary, Omar, and Amin were all very understanding of my needs and financial situation and were able to give me what I needed at a price that fits into my budget. I cant thank them enough for the interest and assistance they gave me. In addition, they are all so very pleasant and easy to speak with. None of the high pressured sales pitch or feeling of any anxiety whatsoever. All great guys! Since I am a repeat customer, I also can vouch for the wonderful people in the maintenance area. In all ways, I highly recommend Gaithersburg Mazda to anyone looking for a good solid car and a great deal!

It was a great experience, to be sure. All of the staff members we encountered were both understanding in catering to what we were looking for and what our restrictions were and efficient in making sure everything ran smoothly. We worked mainly with Maynor, and also dealt with Amin in finance. Both were very friendly and professional. Itd be difficult to find another dealership that could give a customer a better experience and leave him/her with such satisfaction. No complaints, just compliments.
Buying a new car can be a stressful, but Sri at Mazda of Gaithersburg was great and made it easy. I did my research online and basically knew what I was looking for. Sri let me test drive a couple cars and was helpful in pointing out the features. Once I decided, he narrowed down the perfect vehicle and we negotiated a fair price. No pressure, not a lot of back-and-forth. Thank you SRI!
I just recently purchased a 2015 Mazda 6 from Gaithersburg Mazda. The dealership was clean and bright. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, especially Jonathan, my sales representatitve. I was able to test drive 3 different vehicles and ask a multitude of questions. They provided financing on the vehicle: 1.9% over 63 months - what an incredible rate! They even returned my rental car to BWI - incredible customer service! Please keep up the great work Gaithersburg Mazda!
Sometimes you get good service, sometimes you dont. It just depends who you get as your service rep, or how much your insurance coverage is going to cover.
My experience with this dealer was a nightmare. I was trying to buy a used jeep wrangler and the entire process couldnt have been more disappointing. My salesman was a man named Joe. The dealership could not get tags for me the day I actually bought it and offered to drive it out to my house the next day. Joe ended up pulling into my neighbors driveway instead of mine. Halfway down the drive way he realized he was in the wrong drive way and instead of turning around and going into the correct driveway with the car I JUST PURCHASED for a large amount of money. he decided to cut across the yard..... It has been raining for the past two days and he got the jeep stuck in a ditch between our yards and got mud and dirt all over the vehicle and even broke a mud flap on the back passenger side of the car. the neighs yard has tire tracks going through it now as well. In the picture below you can see the saleman Joe getting out of the vehicle and proceeds to tell me something to the extent of.... Wow thats a really fun car to drive! You should have a Bunch of fun off roading in that! I then asked him if he thought this was an acceptable condition to drop the car off to me in. To which he proceeded to tell me something like.... Thats what jeeps are made for man. I then informed him i am very dissatisfied and plan to post the picture of my muddy new jeep online to which he then flipped out and got in my face wanting to fight me...... We then sat in the yard and had a screaming match for the next ten minutes until the other driver came to pick him up and take him back to the dealership. I then called the general manager to inform him of the situation. I was pretty much told that the car is now mine and he felt his driver did nothing wrong. I am currently in the process of contacting Mazda to see what they can do for my neighbors yard that has huge tire track going through the yard..... I will update this post if anything gets done about it or if we need to get a lawyer involved
