The experience differs completely from the areas usual parts suppliers. This place will actually have the parts you need in stock so the trip doesnt leave a bad taste in your mouth about a wasted trip & wasted time getting to other places hoping they have it in stock seeing as though every other trip to Advanced or NAPA was a 60-40 chance theyd have what you need. (60% they usually dont). But other than that my overall experience was better with just the feeling that they had a better knowledge sense of the parts they sell & actually knew what company even made my car.(Guy @ Advanced didnt know my cars maker company & I had to tell him.)with that said the people are more involved in your repair & you can trust if you dont know what you need you can be assured not to have to return because you where given the wrong part.
I had an encounter with Brenda while trying to get a refrigerant for my car. This lady delivered an excellent customer service that she even offered to help me apply the refrigerant. Brenda is charismatic, empathetic, highly skilled, professional, knowledgeable. Also, she embodies a spirit of taking care of others which makes her a 5-star employee. If there is any petition for me to sign to increase her raise, ill be so glad to sign it because shes a dope human being and employee.
Joshua at this store was beyond amazing in his professionalism, knowledge and diligence. I needed wheel nuts for my car tires, apparently what my mechanic asked me to get was the wrong size :/. But thanks to Joshua, he quickly confirmed what I was looking for was not the right size. He not only made sure that the parts he gave me are correct but also verified what I already had on my tires is also the right size. He went out of his way to check everything was great before he considered it was all good to go. He even set the new wheel nuts on the tires. One of the best customer service experiences in my opinion.
Returned some windshield wiper blades that didnt fit and Gissella D. worked endlessly to find a fitting pair. Took some time for us to figure it out because all of the appropriate fitting lists supplied were inaccurate. She worked up a sweat figuring it all out while simultaneously answering phone calls and providing assistance to other customers while helping me. Im very appreciative of her assistance and will definitely come back any day for parts or help especially if its from her. She deserves recognition.

I went to AutoZone around 7pm to ask if they could check the air conditioners of my car, I talked with I suppose is the manager and he sent me to a coworker and ask him the same question but the answer of the coworker was we are not a technician, take your car to a technician in a rude way.

DO NOT GO HERE JUST TO PICK UP A FEW THINGS!!! If your plan is to go in and spend two hours in line then 15-25 minutes discussing the philosophy of automation with the guy at the counter then this is the store for you. If you want to go in, pick up some wiper blades and wax, pay for those things, then leave...GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!!! When I got there six people were in line with items waiting to pay while two people at the counter discussed various issues with two customers. When I had my things and went to pay, the same two customers were at the counter and there were now nine people in line waiting. After 10 minutes one person at the counter left, then the next person went to the counter and started asking a bunch of questions...I dropped everything and walked out NEVER TO RETURN. Zero consideration for people’s time...one line for checkout, one line for endless questions and discussion...how GD hard is that?!

I have used this store as a UPS Drop location. Its convenient, but prepare to spend awhile here as the service is very slow.
Julia Johns is the worst person to get help from at this Autozone. Rude, sarcastic and over all not happy with her job. I would not recommend to come here. Not to mention she had the audacity to help another person while helping me. Never will return here again!!

The manager was telling off an employee in the back. It was very audible to the customers in the store and unprofessional. Also I dont know anything about coolant and the employee made me feel pretty dumb about that. Overall Id rather have gone to Advance but they were closed.

I came here right before it closed because my battery was acting funny and giving me issues . I bought some new key batteries just in case and they changed that for me and a new car battery. Gisella changed my car battery and was so helpful! Even though at that point they were closed, she took her time and helped me and she was really sweet and nice! Last night during a dark & rainy drive home to Pittsburgh after a trip to DC, the Check Engine Light in my 2010 high-mileage Dodge came on. Knowing that could indicate a multitude of issues in a vehicle that old & still being almost 4hrs away from home, I kinda freaked out.I got off the highway & immediately Googled the nearest AutoZone in hopes to have them analyze the warning light. It was 8:55pm & I was about 3mi’s from this store, which closed at 9pm.Luckily, I made it there at 8:59pm & was immediately greeted by Peter who wasted no time in offering to help me, even though he was mopping the floor & literally, about to close.Peter was by far the nicest, most helpful, most professional AutoZone employees I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.He listened to my concerns, took the time to understand my situation & empathize with it, as he patiently, yet professionally, helped me figure out the issue. He even offered me coffee & an energy drink once we determined I could continue my journey home.I have to say that Peter was a true lifesaver for me that night!!A 4hr journey on dark, rainy highways with an unknown Check Engine Light, not knowing if your car would break down & leave you stranded at any second is a terrifying thought.But Peter helped put my mind at ease & for that, I can’t thank him enough! VERY grateful!Thanks Peter! And thanks AutoZone!
Peter A. at the Gaithersburg, MD location is clearly one employee who goes above and beyond to help all customers, and ensures AutoZone is functioning as a business. I guarantee you he doesn’t get paid or recognized enough for the amount of effort and customer service this man dedicates to his job. He needs an immediate promotion, or at the bare minimum a significant pay raise.I’m taking the time out of my extremely busy schedule (working two jobs and starting a small business), to write this detailed review. In all my years of being a customer, I’ve rarely seen someone who deserves accolades for customer service as much as Peter A. does.I was there today (11/05/2020) to get a battery replacement. I walked in, waited in line for about 5-7min. I get to the desk explain that I’d like a battery test and possibly a replacement for the vehicle I drove to the store with. Two employees came out to perform a battery test on my vehicle; One gave me misinformation, stating I definitely needed a new battery even though my battery was reading at 12.5-12.6v (which is within normal range), another employee was trying to correct them on the spot. Nevertheless the battery was old and I wanted to replace it. We went back in, I told them I’d like to replace it, they said alright it’ll be X amount of dollars, and they went off in the back. There must have been a misunderstanding, because I was under the impression the employees were looking to find the battery for my vehicle. I waited a good 10-15min for them to return with a battery. During my wait, Peter A. checked on me approximately 3 times, to make sure I was being helped, until the 4th time he politely told me he would go ahead and check on the employees and see what was taking them so long; while he was also helping other employees with their customers! He found the other two employees and they asked him to install my battery for me.Well we go outside, he starts the installation process and not 5mins we’re out of the store and an employee and a cleary furious customer stated “There are five employees in that store doing nothing and not one of them can help me test my battery”, as the employee hands Peter A. a battery tester while he’s in the process of removing my old battery, walks back inside. Now Peter A. apologized on behalf of the store and himself and asked politely if I would not mind him starting the process of testing the other customer’s battery and while he waits for a read he can continue the work on my car. Now he is simultaneously testing a battery on one car and removing/installing a battery on another. You would think this is already quite a bit for one person to handle, nope another employee comes out and says he’s needs to go faster, and they need the battery tester and his help with even more customers! I’m standing there just in shock, with how much this ONE PERSON is being asked to do all at once, when there are numerous other employees in the store. At one point, Peter A. was handling 3-4 customers at the same time!! Needless to say, he installed my battery flawlessly, walked me through starting my car 5 times, and explained in an easy to understand manner everything that happens to a car’s computer when a battery is removed, and why it is recommended to be started several times when a new one is installed.If it was within my ability to hire Peter A. myself, I would have offered him a job on the spot solely on the spectacular customer service he provided, his phenomenal ability to multi-task, and most importantly being able to approach highly stressful situations calmly and methodically. Companies seem to overlook how valuable employees like this are to their business model. Peter A. needs to be a manager of a store, he is being underutilized.Finally, I heard from another employee he was working a double shift, and was required to stay during a medical emergency of an immediate family member all in one night. Simply outrageous.
My sister was visiting from out of town for Thanksgiving and her battery died. We took her car to Advance Auto on Quincy Orchard to purchase a new one before she drove back home but the gentleman said they wouldnt change the battery because it was a little drizzle of rain. Poor customer service and poor excuse to not help a potential customer with children in the vehicle. However we called AutoZone who said its not a problem so come to them. AutoZone will get 5stars for accommodating us with willingness to exceed their customer service. AutoZone service was superb and will be using them in the future for all our car needs.

I came in because I needed a better powered battery. Without hesitation they checked the power on my battery, alternator and starter. Thankfully all was good but the battery is still old and needed replacing. The manager Josh Abulencia gave me the best deal on the battery and Colin I helped install the battery. Ive hadone hell of a day and the experience I had here, really made it better . 10/10 would come back again! THANK YOU

I had to do a damage swap for a battery I purchased at another location. The gentleman here were very helpful, and I appreciate their services. I wish I remembered the name of the guy that helped me. He even made sure my terminals were cleaned which was appreciated!
Tho the gentleman couldnt fix our problem, which we knew, he did run a diagnostic and gave us suggestions as to where to go to have the problem fixed, since we were from out of town. Wish I could remember his name because he was so nice, and helpful.

I’ve stopped by this AutoZone several times in the past. Every time I go, the staff members are extremely helpful and willing to assist you as much as they can. This is the closest AutoZone to my home and at first I was frustrated that one was not closer, but the staff at Gaithersburg are always welcoming and make the trip worth it.
Not from the area. Visited this store several times. Getting part for customers vehicles and myself. And each time I come in I am greeted with a helping attitude. A smile and change of pace from a long day. Returns flawless, purchases flawless, diagnostics A ok. No matter what I throw there way it appears that they try hard and general care. The one I work the hardest would be Ms. Bianca thanks for your hard work and dedication to your job.Tried to make a second shout separately to Ms Gissela today I call with a special problem. She handled it professional and quickly to keep me from any delay. Hands down the manager here gets a 5 star for her preforms. Why you say, saved me an hour and 35 mins. My car died in front of the store & I was denied help from the employees inside despite a sign offering battery help outside. Ended up calling AAA - thank goodness for them.
I called and spoke to someone who set aside my parts, and then waited as the guy didnt label them but thats okay. Able to help me get situated as I didnt feel like waiting for parts from Amazon. As it turns out, I could have ordered parts cause it rained all weekend.

I will never ever get help from James again. I walked up to the counter and asked to help with a few items. He wasn’t helpful and started cursing and throwing a temper at the keyboard. Worst customer service ever I had in my life. The Autozone definitely should replace him out of the zone and hire some more guys like Eric.

I asked him to reserve a tool for us so when I pick it up after work it would be available and there wouldnt be no waiting whatsoever.. So when we got there it was not ready and my husband had to find it. Very disappointed.
All the things Ive bought from auto zone and I got no rewards in Houston 6 months ago they told me one more purchase and I would have $20 I hade had 5 purchases still no rewards. They lie.
