Great selection, friendly staff, best Asian market in town. My Chinese friend introduced me to eastern cuisine. I will always be a fan of this friendly Asian market. Best selection of favorites in Alachua County.

Great selection of goods both fresh and frozen. Snacks, sauces, noodles, rice, everything! I got stuff here to make my own dumplings and they were absolutely delicious. The prices here are a little higher than other markets but it is bigger than others and had more variety so it was worth it imo.

The fruits and veggies last twice as long as big grocery stores. The seafood is awesome. I have been going for years and have yet to try all the frozen dim sum/soup dumplings. Love this place.

Great selection of Aisan foods very nice people working there. Our Daughter loves Asian fare, she found all her favorite things and I found one of my favorite teas Oolong. Will return many times.

I meant to write this review for a while now its time! Standing/waiting in a ling line. Then, the owner open a new lane for checkout, and she let the two people checkout and stepped behind them hoping to check out. She asked me to go back to the longline and I did. Then, a few minutes later she open up the checkout again!!! and she let her Chinese customers checkout with her!! Yep!! the owner(older woman, she never smile) On the other hand, her daughter is a nice one with service mind which I didnt see her anymore. I should have walkout that day!!!! Im NOT Chinese, I dont speak their language, and I will NEVER buy anything from EASTERN MARKET AGAIN.

I simply like shopping for new snacks to try.

New favorite Asian market! Has a large variety, and the only place here in Florida where I could find real matcha. Staff is friendly, and all produce is fresh.

Very bad customer experience. They need to read some of the reviews here so they will know how bad they are. You cant even return an item even if you just bought it. Youre doing business here in America not in China.

Doesnt smell as fishy or weird as other Asian food stores. Has a good selection of products. If Chun Ching doesnt have it, they do. Definitely less pricier fresh veggies than Chun Ching too.

Friendly and helpful staff. They will help you find items even if you just describe them or dont know the non-english name. Has been well stock. Only issue is that not all items are priced they will scan and tell you. Also not overly expensive either

I love to shop at Eastern Market. I dont know what Im buying more than half the time as I dont read the languages on the packages however, I always enjoy eating what I buy. Not knowing the language doesnt stop me from grabbing food. I love the snack aisle.

I like this market for a few items. I like to get rice sticks, lomaine noodles, some teas. Most of the items there are overpriced in my opinion but some are Budget priced, which fits my needs.

Good selection and pretty good organization. I usually have a lot of trouble finding stuff in Asian markets, but the layout was more familiar to me and the staff was helpful.

Not good experience. The lady was very strict she wont accept return for a product that I bought just a minute ago. They think theyre still in China.

I dont get there often now that Im retired. Used to get fresh pompano or other fish. They also have a large selection of produce and Asian products, hard goods, frozen Asian foods, fresh meat, etcetera.

You have to notice that one of their return policies: any exchanges are done per managements discretion. Once you unfortunately got one product which has already expired, they will not make an exchange or return. But they may treat better to Western customers.

Love this market. They have items you cant get anywhere else here. Customer service is excellent.

They have everything practically that you need if you want to cook up some good Chinese or Japanese dishes.

Worst customer service ever! We had a dispute about a rotten veggie, and I was extremely UNSATISFIED with their attitude.

Great prices and friendly staff. Also, they have weird potato chip flavors like Numb and spicy hot pot flavor. And you can buy live fish there! I think theyre for eating, not for pets. But once you buy them I guess you can do whatever you want with the fish. Bring em home and put them in the bath. Give it a name and then you have a new friend! And bathing wont be so sad anymore.

Not a lot of selection but that’s ok. The only thing troubling me is the oyster sauce I bought from here got bad really fast...it’s the exact brand I had at my parents home but that one was fine for half year plus but this one is uneatable in two months because I saw mold in it.

Always helpful and its cleaner and more well stocked than the others around town. Some items are a little more expensive but most are not. I come here to get a better bang for my buck.

Lots of ethnic foods here seaweed wraps to mango juice. Special place to make you and yours a special dinner. Could be friendlier to those that spend the dollar in their store.

Nice Asian market in Gainesville. It has pretty much everything youd expect from a store like this.

I actually really like this market and have made a few trips there but I was over charged on 5 of my items on this last trip . The total didn’t seem right while I was in the store . You can’t see the totals on the screen while its being rang up, maybe for this reason. When I got home and totaled my receipt to my items ( what the stickers said they where marked at ) I was overcharged by 11 dollars. So beware!

They specialize in Asian items. You can find fresh vegetables & seafood along with many items not easily found at local grocery stores. The staff is always friendly & helpful which is a plus too.

Yes!! We were able to find the ramen my husband was searching for (miso flavored). Amazing ramen aisle!! We stocked up, and now know where to go to get what he loves. Thank you!!! Friendly staff with very good service. Store organized and not crowded. Good selection of authentic Chinese items. Prices are very reasonable.

Strange rules about students and backpacks (only 2 students at a time, leave backpacks outside/at front) but the cashier was really friendly and nice, she gave us tips about freezing gummies and products she recommends.
