My Boyfriend bought a 2010 Ford Escape Hybrid at Tri State AutoMy Boyfriend financed it right through Mark, Mark treated us very nice.Jackie was a sweet heart we would buy another vehicle there in a heartbeat the Escape has been a very reliable vehicle. We are completely satisfied with Tri State They have great vehicles for great prices. Buying a used vehicle is always a gamble no matter were you go, That being said Mark and Jackie go out of there way to make sure there customers are satisfied. Thanks Mark and Jackie for making our buying experience the best experience we have had buying a used car.
We had a good time here. The buying experience was easy. They have an option of financing themselves or you can pick your own bank. We elected cash. They took care of all the DMV stuff for $500 and the mountains of paperwork. We just have to pay taxes once our tags come in the mail. We would recommend them. The owner (Mark) has quite a bit of experience. He is easy to talk to. I did not see any coffee in their lobby (which was quite disappointing). They are open what appears to be M-F from 8 to 5.
Great place to buy a carPosted by Mikes Towing & transport
DO NOT LEAVE A DEPOSIT! They kept the $300 “refundable” deposit to hold a car. They now claim it is not refundable and can be used on a car on the lot. Not worth your time or your business. Ask local mechanics who will say the same.Update: the refundable deposit was for the car to be held for a potential purchase. There was no mention of passing/failing inspection. After the presale inspection, the mechanic found the codes/system to be reset - major red flag. We decided to cancel the purchase and request our refund upon which we were told we would not get it. As you can see from the tone of their reply, they are not very friendly, accommodating or easy to deal with. Take your hard earned money and limited time to someone who has a better reputation.
Great customer service and wonderful options for an inexpensive car. Had many options and Jackie and Brenda were very helpful and honest. Open Saturdays through tax season but get there early. We bought my vehicle and they had others asking about it all day. Friendly people. Clean cars. I will go back again!
I purchased a 2012 nissan altima from here. I can truly say that Mr. Mark and his staff is amazing. They are always willing to help and Mr. Mark trusted me and gave me a chance. I would totally do buisness with Tri-State again.
Long story short. I advise anyone looking to buy a vehicle dont go here n pay cash
I want to be transparent I didnt end up buying a car from here. No problems with the car I drove, I realized it was a little small for my needs. The owner was nice and seemed to be a straight shooter,we talked on the phone a few times and he offered me a good price. Jackie helped me showing the car and letting me drive it, she was awesome. If Im in the market for a used car in the future Ill definitely look here again.
We had a terrible experience trying to purchase a car from Tri-state auto brokers and I feel obligated to share our story. This review was delayed until the dispute to return our $500 “refundable” deposit was settled. I documented details as this unfolded.12/28/2020. My daughter, looking for her first car found her dream car here, online. She spoke to Jackie, who was great in person. Reviews were iffy but my daughter swayed me. We got there close to closing so we took it for a quick ride. I admittedly made a couple rookie mistakes: the carfax report was read to me from the computer. When I asked about fees, the owner gave me an estimate orally. I asked about the deposit and he told me “$500, of course it’s refundable, what do I look like, a tough guy?” I didn’t want to lose the car for my daughter so I gave the deposit and walked out with just a tiny nonspecific receipt for $500. (Don’t make this mistake)12/29/2020 I called to ask for a carfax report (. He refused, claiming I had o copy)to be emailed to me and asked a couple questions about the car. He raised his voice to me calling me “neurotic””nervous” etc.12/30 I called to ask what time the car would be ready. I told him I would need a printed detail of the total costs and he again claimed I got it 12/28. I was getting concerned about his behavior at this point but I was still committed for my daughter’s sake. I asked the same questions from 12/29 since they went unanswered and he went off on me. “You better not back out on this” etc. “I still assured him I would still pick it up today.HE CALLS ME BACK AND TELKS ME HE WASN’T SELLING US THE CAR AND WEREN’T GETTING OUR $500 DEPOSIT BACK. I still (unbelievably) told him we wanted the car. He explained that I was neurotic (again) and I “bombarded” him with calls (only 2 as mentioned above). “You are the kind of guy who tries to return a car a year from now because of a flat tire”.I immediately called visa. I then got a call back from Jackie explaining that “he calmed down and changed his mind and was willing to sell the car now”. I told her that I already accepted his refusal. He got on the phone telling me that I still wasn’t getting my $500 refund and that I should “LAWYER UP IF YOU WANT IT”.The story has a good ending since visa refunded our deposit and she got a better car, experiencing professionalism and honesty at the next used car lot.
Were a military family moving into town and Mark instantly made us feel like family. He was up front and honest about everything good or bad and literally jumped through hoops for us. For as long as were in NC.... tri-state, Mark and Jackie will be the only place we go to for a car. They are amazing people and one thing you can expect when dealing with them is understanding of your unique situation. Highly recommended!!!!!
I made an appointment to look at a car here early in the morning, and purchased an expensive Uber to get me to the dealership. When I arrived, I was told that there was a mix up and someone else was looking at the car. I waited in the office for an hour before the other individual returned, and decided to purchase the car. So after booking an appointment which was not honored and waiting for an hour in vain, I asked if they would pay for my Uber or give me a ride back to my home because there were no Ubers in the surrounding area. I was told they wouldnt help me because people stand us up all the time. Apparently if someone else stands them up, they feel justified in mistreating me. I ended up walking down the busy highway because of these people until I was able to find an Uber. If I had arrived and the car was purchased, that is part of the business and I could have gotten back in the Uber and gone home. But failing to recognize my appointment, then having me wait for an hour just to inform me that the car is being purchased is incredibly unprofessional. I understand that mistakes happen, but good businesses own up to their mistakes and try to make them right instead of making excuses for them.UPDATE: I noticed that the owner responded to my comment. When I booked my appointment and upon my arrival to my appointment I was never made aware that someone had placed a deposit on the car already. Why would a company book an appointment with me, then keep me for an hour if they already had a deposit on the car? It is either a terrible business practice or a lie, I am inclined to believe the latter. I did inform the business that there were no Ubers in the area, and proceeded to ask them to drive me themselves. When they refused I told them that I guess I will walk down the highway.I think it is very telling of the true nature of a company not only to treat someone the way they treated me, but to then lie about their practices online to try to reassure potential buyers. I would advise anyone and everyone to stay away from this company.
I clean homes for a living so I take writing reviews VERY seriously. My livelihood basically depends on what people say about me. So I’m very careful when I write a review. Simply put, I’d recommend anyone near and dear to me to go to Tri State Auto Broker. They were very thorough and clear from the beginning. They were willing to let me bring the vehicle of my choice to a mechanic for a pre-sale inspection. Finding cars in their price range is a blessing and will leave you with more than enough $ to make room for improvements, if even need be. My car is great. I was just reading some of the reviews and found it funny how people want perfectly cut diamonds for the same price as cubic zirconia.
It was a wonderful experience! Good ppl good conversation Everyone was so nice! I just loved talking to Miss Jackie, shes the best! I got a very good deal! And a beautiful luxury vehicle!💯
Extremely friendly. Great customer service. Great vehicles. I strongly recommend Tri State for vehicle purchases.
My father and I came from Wake Forest to check out this car lot and left far from disappointed! Mark, Jackie, and all staff were such a breath of fresh air and did everything in their power to make sure we had the best buying experience! We will definitely be going back in the future and also referring friends. I cant thank these guys enough, very pleased with my new ride! 😊
They wasnt too late, the driver could use some beside manners....
I received exceptional customer service at Tri State Auto Broker . They are extremely professional yet laid back. Jackie is extreme professional and thorough with her job. Mark, the owner, is a caring business man who takes the time to Speak to and get to know his clients. I’ve done business at larger, “name brand dealers” and have never received this type of customer service. I never once felt that I was being taken advantage of. Before I signed anything Jackie made sure I read ALL the paperwork and that understood what I was signing. I now have a beautiful Nissan Versa with low miles. It was cashed priced at market value. However, if mark allows you to finance, and I say “allows,”, because he actually interviews you and Jackie review all your paperwork before they make a decision to finance, the price does increase... but hey its called interest. I also understood the risks that comes with purchasing a used vehicle. That’s why when I came here to purchase the vehicle I already new the model of the car and what to expect. I knew the strengths and the weakness of the car, because I have owned this type of car before. I know that the versa is known to have Faulty cvt transmissions that may need to be Repaired after certain miles. That’s all over the internet. However, that’s a risk I was willing to take when I purchased this car. You have to do your research people. They actually tell you the vin number, so you can pull up any information on your own about the car you are purchasing. That’s not their job to tell you to pull up the information on the car and do your research people. You are grown!!!! They let you test drive the car. So, they give you all the opportunity in the world to inspect the car and make sure that it’s what you want before you buy the vehicle. To The rude Couple of rude lying commenters who said Mark sold them lemons, I say....your a liar 🤥, you also did not do your due diligence before buying your vehicle, and you need to know that not all vehicles, especially used cars, are perfect. They are pre owned and you must fully inspect the vehicle and know what you are buying b4 you drive off the lot. Or have someone look at the car who does. Thank you Mark for helping me and taking the time to get to know me. That made me feel good as a client. Thank you Jackie for being professional and Thorough that also made feel comfortable doing business with Mark the owner. You are clearly very valuable.
Very pleasant buying experience, fair price and solid vehicle. Jackie was great to do business with and good at her job! Definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to shop here again. Thank you
Brought my friend here to look at a car and he ended up leaving with a very nice car for a good reasonable price, and I must say I was very impressed with Camille. Great customer service, energy, and spirit. Didn’t feel pressured or sold to in a sense. Would recommend working with her.
Hey Kyle, I totally agree with you, but dont worry about what the owner says about your review being inappropriate. Trust me, you were being fair and honest regardless of what shes telling you of what certain comments to leave in the future. We disagree that she found your reviews being inappropriate. If the dealer chose not to take trade-ins, shame on him. He took it upon himself to get in an altercation with the wrong person like you, and you couldve gotten hurt. On top of that, she cant prove what knowledge we as customers have when it comes to financing. So what if shes not sure who Tishas family member is? Thats not for her to worry about. We all know that our cars need work from time to time...DUH. By the way, whatever pizza they had smelled good. They deserved it without me this past Wednesday anyways. Like you said, shame on the dealer for being entitled not take anymore trade-ins, and shame on the owner for taking up with him on his decision just because certain cars have almost 300 miles. Plus, their own actions were very inappropriate themselves lol. Well at least, I made a mistake coming here anyways. Ill move on at my own terms. Peace out!!!
Brought a really nice vehicle from dealership. Very reliable transportation. Would highly recommend...
Honesty is the best policy has never been truer than at TriState Auto. Mark and Paula are the some of the best at what they do, and they make sure you are 110% before you spend your hard earned money.
I bought 2 cars from here and I love my cars & appreciate their straight forward & professional customer service.
Id recommend buying a car anywhere else. Please dont trust these people or give them your hard earned money
I have bought two Honda Civics from here and they both were great! I unfortunately wrecked the first one and I did not hesitate to call them back for my second one. People need to chill out with all these “Beware” reviews. First of all, it is a USED CAR DEALER. Not every little thing is going to be perfect, and they will make you very AWARE of that before you sign the papers people. I had to put new spark plugs and an ignition coil on the week I bought my 2002 Honda Civic. Very easy repair and nothing to freak out about. Get a grip people! I’d definitely recommend them to anyone and I have to a few of my friends. Camille is awesome! Very nice and straightforward!
I bought a car from Tri-State auto and let me say I’m a very skeptical person especially when it comes to purchasing cars. They pulled up the car fax immediately, were very helpful when it came down to picking which car would be right, and created a very family-friendly atmosphere. I’m a young first time dealer-ship buyer and they helped me understand everything to a T. My mother bought her Acura from them just a few months before I got my BEAUTIFUL 2008 Honda Accord. Thank you Mark and Camile for everything you’ve done. I’ll definitely be referring you guys to many people for years to come.
Nice people not very well organized.I put money down for a truck to be held til I had the rest they agreed but then sold the truck the next day to someone els. Again they seem nice but I’m upset at the lost of the truck. I guess it may be a good thing as I was a little concern at the quality of the truck. Battery was dead, the terminals where bad, power steering was bad, the tail lights where out not sure how passed inspection. But for the price it was ok knowing I would have to put a little into it being it’s a used truck. I had to go in to find out it was sold, I went in because I noticed it was gone.
Terrible selection of cars. Lies about the quality of the vehicle. (such as a salvage title or if the vehicles been in a wreck) DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE
Fantastic service!! Great cars!! AMAZING Prices!!! Ms. Jackie was outstanding!!! Would reccommend to anyone!!!!!
When it comes time to talk price, they can be somewhat blunt, which I honestly found off-putting at first. Even if the car youre looking at needs moderate work, dont expect them to reduce the price like used dealers often will - its not going to happen. Beyond that, Camille is very pleasant to deal with. Mark is the owner, but she runs the place and does an excellent job of it!My previous car died unexpectedly, which made transportation difficult as I scrambled to find a replacement. At Tri-State, they were waiting on a title transfer before they could sell the car I was planning to buy. In the meantime, they basically loaned me the car so I could get to work, with repeated assurances I could return it at no cost if I changed my mind. Im sure thats not common practice, and I owe them a 5-star review for that alone!
I bought a 2002 Ford Wind Star and it is MARVELOUS. You would be amazed with the options. It is fully loaded. The price was below tax value. If you want a car I advise you to go visit Mark.
True definition of a buy here pay here ! Everyone is kind and professional . Jackie is AWESOME!
Horrible experience.... they SELL LEMONS! Wish my elderly mom would have bought a car elsewhere.
I have purchased over 10 cars from Tri state over the years and I have had a great experience with them. I would recommend to friends and family.
I absolutely love this place, just purchased my second car from them.... customer service is the absolute best !!! Thanks Mark and Camille
BEWARE!!!! and, stay far away from the owner and wife. Their cars are crap and he sales lemons. Pretty at first then they start to have problems weeks later. Which, they dont take care of. Tri state refers out. They are quick to put a tracking device on the car and take your money and that is it. If you are a hour late the car shouts down until you make it to their office to make a payment. And, they are closed on Saturday and Sunday. After that they do nothing as far as customer service. They are mean, hatefull, and nasty attitude if you question them. And, when you finish paying the car hurry and get your title, they are terrible with keeping up with paper work.
Just finished paying off my 2008 Chevy Impala from here and man I gotta say Camile and Jackie are Grade A+ from start to finish! From the moment I stepped on the lot Camile was very helpful and let me test drive several vehicles untill I found one that made me happy. I never felt pressured and she was supportive and informative throughout the whole process!. Everytime I called in to make a payment if it wasnt Camile that anwsered then it was usually Jackie and both of them knew me right off my first name everytime and were always very kind and to me that shows a connection to clientele needed when you want to have a successful business of return customers. I already have plans to buy my next vehicle from here as well! Thank you Camile and Jackie you ladies are AWESOME!!!
Scam artists. If I could post negative stars I would. Never leave reviews but I bought an 05 Audi A4 with 85k miles. Test drove it and felt good. Didn’t make it through the first gas tank before the transmission needed replacement.
Drove 1.5 hours to look at a 2004 Volvo V40 Silver, I was told over the phone it was a 10 on a scale of 1-10. Started the car it ran quite rough, then I put it in reverse and there was a horrible clunk. Then, after I made my way slowly through the parking lot, and thank God there were no cars coming, I pulled out into the road. My wife looked at me and I said wow I have it floored. She said what, I said again, yes I have it floored. I think but not real sure due to all the lack of excitement from the speed we were not traveling, that we may have been topping 5 MPH!!! Fortunately I turned toward an intersection and was able to slowly turn of the road to safety. This car is a pile of garbage and would hate to see what he would call a 5 if this was a 10.
Camella isnt your typical used car salesperson, refreshing honest and upfront. Highly recommend.
Horrible place, horrible owner. Very rude and disrespectful. I walked off the lot. Customer service and respect gets you far in life.Sidenote: Camille is awesome.
0 Stars!!!! My husband and I recently took in my mother and were looking to purchase a vehicle for her. I really should have read the reviews for Tri State Auto Broker before trusting them. Our options for a vehicle were open as long as it was reliable, had a working air conditioner/ heat and decent tires. I understand that an older vehicle with miles would need some work done but never would I have imagined what was to come. My husband visited the dealership to look at the vehicle of interest. The dealer advised us that we wouldnt want to purchase a Saturn as the repair parts are hard to find. She then showed him another vehicle which performed well during the test drive. He eventually purchased the 2005 Chevrolet Malibu (with only one previous owner and clean carfax report) and decided to leave the vehicle there until I got off of work to return with him and drive the vehicle back home. My husband was advised by the dealer that if any issues were to occur to contact her immediately and she would ensure that all would be rectified. Once we returned to the dealership (after hours), we decided to stop by the local Wal Mart and purchase a few item for the car like floor mats etc. On the way to the store, the engine completely shut off. We pulled to the side of the road and checked the car over. A couple of the spark plugs were slack so we pushed them in which helped a bit. On the way home, the vehicle continuously maintained a low idle and would shut off. We took the vehicle to our local mechanic who looked the vehicle over and repaired the vehicle. The map sensor, spark plugs & wires, O2 sensor, and several other things either did not work or were in need of replacing. The repairs and oil change cost us a little over $600.00. We called the dealership and actually spoke with the owner. His lack luster response to the issues that occurred were down right disrespectful! He then advised us that he could replace the battery for us. We advised him numerous times that the battery was not the issue, however, he insisted that he could only assist with providing a new battery. Clearly this dealership is only concerned with getting their vehicles off the lot and have a true disregard for their customers safety!! We are very honest people and have children that will eventually need a vehicle. We would have loved to establish a relationship with a local dealer and would have relied on them for future business. Yet they have tarnished their reputation with us and we will make sure to warn any individual looking to purchase a vehicle. I would have understood and rationalized the vehicle issues if the owner of the dealership had taken the moral route and assisted us with the repairs required to render the vehicle safe. Never again will I or should anyone purchase a vehicle from Tri State Auto Borker!!!!
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!!!!! I bought a 06 VW Passat. loved it . ran good for only a couple weeks & then it started making noises on the passenger side. took it to the dealership and found out that both control arms with ball joints were bout to fall off which cost 800+ to get repaired. not even a month i had this car and the ball joints are popping off more than likely they were loose when i bought it and they dint tell me. mind you imma college student.. and the most hours i work a week are 25-30 so this was frustrating on my end. on top of that the engine light was on a week after i bought it. Also they shut your car off the next day & charge you a extra 100$. My job had messed up my payroll and i offered to pay half but they dont take partial payment. they were rude and told me they would shut my car off and on top of that they kept calling me saying they was gonna send someone to repo my car after 1 day of not paying it. again this was another burden on me being a college student having to pay repairs for a car i just bought off the lot. only person i like in that office is camille. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE & DON’T buy a car from these people
They made me feel welcomed and valued me. Mark and his team were great!
We have brought two vehicles from Tri State and not only are we very satisfied with them, Marc, Camille and everyone else that works there are very easy to deal with.
My fiance(Frank Fulk) and I have bought a Honda accord and a dodge Dakota from tri state. We are highly satisfied with our vehicles and the service we where given. If we need another vehicle in the future tri state is where we will go first!!
I dealt with Marc Grossman when he use to run the new Poughkeepsie ford . The guy was a complete creep. He told me to take the car for the weekend like he was this nice guy. When I told him I didnt want the vehicle he went ballistic . The finance guy said where going to send you a payment book anyway. They really treated me horribly I even called the cops on them . I was a young guy he tried to take advantage of. The guy went from running a multi million dollar dealership in New York to running away to North Carolina to run the car lot that you see today. Not an upward move but more like a downward spiral. Based on some of the other reviews he hasn`t changed for the better. They say a tiger doesnt change its stripes. Also your reputation always follows you.
Dont not purchase a car frm dis ppl they will sale u a lemon i bought a 06 nissan altima frm here last may 2016 with high mileage he know it was junk and so did Ro or whatever her name was we ask why the Reservoir didnt hv any fluid he says it doesnt need any but that was a lye the radiator was bad needles to say we had to buy a radiator water pump and thermostat than it started jerking we had to replace the wires n cords now we just got it check today bc it keep tryin to run hot took it to a mechanic today and he took us the motor is going out the Upstream O2 sensor and misfire a imternal leak SO MAY WOULDVE BEEN A YR AND WE CAME ALL THE WAY FRM CHARLOTTE NC TO PURCHASE A PEICE OF JUNK BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!!
The best place to buy a car theyre not expensive they work with you and help you right when you get there
Mark and Roy was very pleasant and nice. Me and my fiancé Michael Dewar bought a 2006 hyundai from them and we have drove it to myrtle beach and back with no problems at all. I recommend everybody to go see them at tri state auto brokers they will welcome you like family and treat you like family. Our experience was very pleasant and nice. We frequently go back to see them at tri state auto brokers in fuquay . i would buy another car from them in the near future
I have now bought two vehicles from Tri state and I am very pleased
